Prestige Lock & Home installed a front door handle set and mail box for my home. I mentioned to the owner that I had a few interior doors that were not closing properly. He said, dont worry I will take a look. Not only did he correct the door issues but would not charge me for the extra work. I highly recommend.

I had a multi-point lock rekeyed by another locksmith I believed to be local at the time (but apparently he was not and did not have a physical location). To make a long story short, the lock no longer worked after that and this locksmith claimed that it was already broken.. I called Prestige to get a quote to replace the lock. I was pleasantly surprised that he was actually able to fix it!

We recently from to NJ from Chicago a few weeks ago. We have been unexpectedly locked out of the house more times than I’d like to admit as we adjusted to the ins and outs of our new home. Each time my husband and I have been around to open the door for one another. Today was indeed the worst case scenario, as a gust of wind blew the door shut while I was doing laundry in the basement and I was locked outside watching my 2 year old son inside in a full blown panic. As a parent, there is nothing worse than watching your baby hyperventilate and you are unable to reach them to help them calm down.The woman who answered my call could hear the urgency in my voice, she worked quickly to ensure I acquired the help I desperately needed. In July I arrived home to found our front door had been broken into. The first call I made was to the police and the second was to Prestige Lock. Vinnie, the owner, came late that afternoon to replace the mortise lock and install an additional dead bolt. Luckily, we had purchased a safe from him several years ago so our valuables were locked away. We have been using Prestige Lock for over 20 years, for re-keying locks, cutting additional keys, installing very difficult mortise locks, finding a replacement key to a china cabinet. You name it, if we need anything that has to do with a key and a lock, we call him. He is extremely precise, neat and organized – a skilled and talented locksmith. He gets it right the first time, every time, and with a smile!

WARNING!!!!! DO NOT USE!!!! Worst locksmith in northern NJ!!!!! Total scam artists. Awful customer service. Vinnie, the owner, is completely nasty, bitter and belligerent. He gave me keys that didnt work, then when I called back to explain the problem, he said that someone else must have changed the locks without me knowing because its impossible that the keys dont work. He proceeded to charge me a second time to come back and do the exact same thing he did the week prior. A TOTAL SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
