I went to The Golf Mart today and when I came in the front door I was greeted by a store representative. I told him I was interested in learning more about golf clubs. I have not played in many years, but wanted to get to know how to assess what clubs would be good for me. He told me to go and see a gentleman in the golf clubs area. He was assisting another customer and I waited for about 20 minutes. He never approached me or told me how long he was going to be. He saw me there, but I was just ignored. Not a good customer experience.

Leon is the man! The people that work here are excellent and make you grateful to have a golf store around. I had a great experience working with Leon to get fitted for a new driver shaft and testing some irons.Instead of just setting me up with a shaft and telling me to crank away, I knew Leon was the person I wanted to work with when he asked me what ball I played (and then grabbed a fresh one) so that the numbers we were looking at were based on what my playing configuration would be instead of using a battered Bridgestone.Ill be going back soon :D

Scott H took care of me in my search for new cleats and a new putter. He took me through some simple questions about my game, style, and my budget and helped me narrow down to a perfect pair of Adidas shoes and a Cleveland blade putter that feels just right. All under my budget and to top it off he had some jokes during the process. Super happy and I was out of there in under 30 minutes. Great experience! Thanks!

Jason was always nice to talk with and very helpful. The other golf store in the area staff are younger and hit the ball 400 yds with their driver when you talk to them, theyre just out there for the paycheck.

Amazing experience with the staff, very helpful and informative without being condescending which is nice for a relatively new golfer like myself. Also hooked me up with a great deal in the process, best place in the bay I have found.

Went in there today on a whim and was presently surprised. Doug helped me do a club fitting. Doug understood where I was coming from and what I was looking for. Im a mid to high handicapper looking for some forgiving irons that would help me get back to a reasonable level after taking 15 plus years away from the sport. We tried multiple shafts and heads. Hit over 100 balls on the simulator and narrowed it down the an iron set that I liked. As Im just looking for something to get me out there again and didnt want to go full out on this purchase we started looking at used sets. This will allow me to get my swing back because I know I will by another set once I get tune back in to it. Cheers.

Best thing about the store is the return policy; 90 days to try your gear and get 100% store credit return. Great selection of new and used stuff.

Expensive,difficult to get in building

I came here over a year ago and had a horrible experience. 1yr I came back just to see if it was the same and let me tell you, its a total 180*. The staff in there now make the environment very comfortable. Still new to the game and everyone is so helpful. When I ask a question I get a honest answer. Along as the staff stays the same, they will gain a life long customer!

This is my favorite golf store. Ramon is great. They are not very pushy. I bought a used set of Mizuno hot metal. Love it. My daughter got a M2 driver and m4 3 woods. Technology matters my friend

Im in the process of selecting new irons. I was lucky to have Tom help me start the process. His patience and professionalism helped me narrow down the options. I will be back soon to finalize my selection with Tom. Thanks to Golf Mart for the great selection and excellent service.

Ramon is very helpful, however, the other staff is rude and not helpful. The Golfmart in Dublin is great! Their staff is super friendly and helpful.

I purchased a new golf bag, (Bennington), the staff is cool and helpful, but not hanging over your shoulder, allowing you to browse. Good job!!

Very friendly product knowledge

This review is long over due.... I almost gave up on the golf mart until walking into this store. I work near the San Rafael store and walked in at least 4 times and was never acknowledged. When I did ask for help, it was like pulling teeth to get someone to actually show an interest in what I needed. So, one day I decided to pop my head into the Walnut Creek store to see if I could exchange a recently purchased putter that I was unhappy with. I was approached by Jeremy and was more than happy to help, make sure I was fit to the correct length and actually special ordered it directly from Ping. I received follow up phone calls and was taken care of until I picked up my putter. These guys actually care about their customers which is hard to find these days. Even though I drive by the San Rafael store, I drive to Walnut Creek to spend my money.
