Worst customer service. They were very rude to me. I didnt know I had to order the book online first so they told me I need to fill out the form online first. I was standing there for a while because their webpage interface is very incompetent and inefficient, but I finally filled it out. After all the time I spent there, they told me I couldnt pick it up until Monday which is 3 days from now. The book is literally right there, they could just pick it up, pack it and give it to me. The lady there decided to be a total....I will now ask someone to scan their lab manual for me and Ill pay them my money instead. I suggest you all look for your school supplies in Amazon or somewhere with more competent customer service.

Overpriced go to Amazon for cheap books, unless you have EOPS or some sort of book voucher and this is coming from a former employee. They offered flexible hours when I was there but having to go into work seem dreadful at times. Great place to start working and great co-workers who became my friends til this day but awful high management that needs improvement and a better attitude.

Super unprofessional staff. I was calling and calling for weeks during the hours I was told they were in the store but not open to the public. And once I did get an answer it was like I was unconvincing them. And they rushed the call. I was calling for assistance with getting a label to return a textbook and they acted like they didn’t know what I was talking about. And transferred me to I believe her name was Glades and she was also very rude. I did not get the name of the first woman I spoke to.. I know it’s hard times because of Covid however that is no excuse to treat customers like we are and inconvenience and a burden to ask for assistance. I hope you do better in the future because it makes me not want shop at your store for my textbooks.

At 2:12 pm 9/2/2020 they just keep answering the phone and hanging up on me right away, not even speaking. very disrespectful. Especially when i am trying to order books to get assignments done. why treat people this way? if your busy just put me on hold, not hang up.

This bookstore is fine however the employees are not. I witnessed I am assuming a manager totally disrespect and degrade another employee to the point of tears! I witnessed it with my own eyes and was beyond disbelief. I had a friend work at the bookstore for a short period of time and she told me the horrible stories of upper management and how sketchy they are I didnt believe them until I witnessed it first hand the other day. I was hopping the new company that took over would also establish new employees, but I guess not. I will not longer support this bookstore due to their lack of respect to their employees. I will buy online. And I feel so horrible to young girl who was mistreated. This was bothering me so much I had to write a review. Thank you for reading. -K

I think someone is paying for these 5 star reviews. Its evident in the most recent one that is in a different language with no commentary. Anyways I cannot believe this bookstore! The staff is horrible, utterly rude! They just chill in their offices talking while students are just standing there to be helped! And their attitudes are far from great! I felt like I was bothering the lady helping me. Barns N Noble needs to step it up. Ive been to other college bookstores and never had this issue with customer service. I feel like Ive walked into a mom and pop hallmark not a college bookstore. What a shame.

The service varies. Obviously you can find better prices in better places and online, but if you want a last minute fix than this is the best place to go. Make sure you rely on your own resources for teachers and textbooks instead of the service there, because they do not know every teacher and every need by heart. If you want to save money, go somewhere else. Otherwise, everything you need is here.

I like the new process for the bookstore now that its operated by b&n. No more long rental lines and you dont have to put your backpack away anymore, but they still have the cubbies as an option. These last two semesters Ive also noticed that the lines go by way faster than previous years. The employees are also friendly and usually ask if you need help finding anything. The prices are definitely on the high side, but if you plan your classes in advance, you can save for books a couple months in advance.

The manager here is completely rude! I will be taking my business elsewhere I have seen multiple incidents with this horrible person! I mean I know we all have bad day I just think all her days are bad now. Save yourself the trip and go to another bookstore or shop online.

I’m a new student to this campus and on numous occasions I have witnessed the manager yelling at her employees. Bad enough that it made me want to tell to be nicer!!! I was appalled!! I did have a conversation with a very nice employee thereafter who informed me this bookstore is now transitioning into a barns n noble! I really hope this also means new management as I’m sure barns n noble being corporate would not stand for such behavior of uper management. It honestly hinders the whole vibe of the bookstore.

I had an unpleasant experience here. The employees (the one with the scrubs) constantly kept on thinking I was going to steal the books and were being really pushy towards me. If the manager was there i’d like to speak to that person, because that behavior is disgusting. I’d rather spend my money somewhere else.. So whoever needs to buy books, don’t bother stopping by here.

Someone should add summer hours or something cuz i went to return a book today and apparently they closed at 4:30pm when it says 5pm on google :// otherwise the bookstore is fine lol

Everything is overpriced. For goodness sake their clientele are broke students why would they markup their prices so much? It seems ridiculous to me that they seem to nickel and dime in so many ways, like selling scantrons with very little discount if you buy in bulk, and in some cases cheaper to buy individually. It is these kinds of things that leave a very sour taste in someones mouth, especially when you have already spent hundreds on textbooks.

My experiences w/this place was relatively decent until today when this short, chubby, loud, Latina employee monitoring the entrance kept aggravating tired students/customers w/you can make a face all you want but youre still exiting the other side, & kept complaining how she wants to apply elsewhere, & asking other co-workers to switch w/her (all w/in earshot). Theres a time & place for sass but shes making it known. Her behavior was plain unprofessional, immature, & rude. If it werent for her helpful & polite coworkers, it wouldve received a lesser review. The heat, stress, & expenses the first few weeks is already affecting students, we dont need her.
