Had a full bag fitting at the Boston location. The facilities are A+. Tyler is extremely knowledgeable and professional. He spent 4.5 hours with me ensuring I left feeling confident in my club/shaft choices. I bought the entire set with True Spec and while perhaps a bit more expensive (mostly due to shaft choices), the confidence knowing I will be playing with the proper clubs and fit, is well worth the small $$ premium. And - despite supply chain issues and delays within the golf industry, my clubs arrived in one week! Highly recommend Tyler!

Had a full bag fitting at the Boston location. Was a bit hard to find at first but the facility was very professional in appearance. Tyler is extremely knowledgeable and professional. The 4.5 hours went fast (almost 250 swings) and afterwards I felt good about my fitting options. Tyler didnt push me to buy anything and even looked into saving some money by going through the manufacturer. However, I bought new irons and a 5 wood built by True Spec as I knew that I would receive clubs that would be as close to those hit in the bay. I was given a 3-4 week shipping time but was happily surprised to get my new clubs around 1 week after the fitting. Tyler sent me all the data and pricing info for future purchases and as well as for my own information. Ive used club champion in the past but highly recommend Tyler and True Spec Golf!

Just finished up a full bag fitting with Tyler and I am very happy with the experience. Im a low single digit handicap who plays a lot of competitive golf. I went into the fitting looking for ways to optimize my equipment and in general just make sure Im getting the most out of my clubs. The quality of the fitting from start to finish was best in class. Tylers knowledge of the equipment and ability to determine very quickly what was working and what wasnt was truly impressive. My biggest concern going into the fitting was the amount of swings required and the risk of feeling overloaded with data. Tyler negated both of those concerns by quickly moving on from a head/shaft if it wasnt working. The best part was I learned a ton about my game and found a number of ways to optimize my bag. Cant wait for my new clubs!

Had the pleasure of getting a full bag fitting with Tyler in March, and couldnt recommend his expertise, knowledge and easy going manner more. The iron fitting was thorough as we tried a half dozen heads with a variety of shafts to come out with a great fit in a set of P770s. I was on the fence about ordering a driver but the gains and consistency that we saw were hard to pass up. After Tyler e-mailed me the trackman data of the fitting, he was kind enough to answer a bunch of my questions via e-mail and I ended up ordering the club. Tyler must have been sick of getting e-mails before/during and after I received the driver, but he never showed it and answered all of my pending questions (along with a recheck of my specs in the studio) until we had the best fit in my hand. I hadnt bought clubs in 7-10 years and always figured my golf swing was the weak link, but Tyler showed me that there were definite gains to be had with consistency, height and distance that are only positives without getting a brand new golf game. In short, put some cash aside if you want to see gains in your game and go see Tyler. You wont regret it.

I had a driver and woods fitting with Tyler. He was incredibly knowledgable and professional throughout first narrowing down the club head and then finding the right shaft for my swing speed and angle of attack. He did not rush through any part of the fitting and instead even went back to a couple of the items we tried early on to make absolutely sure I had the best fit.We did the same for my 3 wood and a hybrid. We found fits for each one of which fills a huge gap in the bag. I didn’t end up moving forward with one of the clubs and at no point in time felt like I was being pushed to purchase as I have in other similar occasions. This was an incredible experience and would strongly recommend to anyone looking to dial in any aspect of their club selection.

Recently did a full bag fitting with Tyler. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and transparent. He had a very meticulous approach, tested multiple head/shaft options, answered all questions thoroughly, and made data driven recommendations that suited my current swing with future technical improvements in mind (currently taking lessons and working on a few things). Incredible experience at True Spec. Tyler knows everything there is to know about all the products they have on hand and figured out my ideal set of irons easily. I gained 20+ yards from my old set and was hitting everything more cleanly than I ever have. After the fitting Tyler helped me figure out a new putter that wouldn’t break the bank and even sorted me out with a new driver shaft after mine broke on the course a week later. If you think you can figure out what set of clubs is best for you from shopping online think again and book an appointment at Truespec. Completely worth every penny, can’t recommend enough.

Brought my 12 year old son there. He has a good natural ability and we sought out True Spec to give him the tools he needed to enhance his game. I dont get it---what kind of a place is this? I walked into the True Spec studio, credit card at the ready and my wife having been warned of the looming expenditure. Im an old, enthusiastic hacker who battles Father Time and injuries every time Im on a course. I am armed with a used driver I bought off the internet without having hit a comparable model as well as used irons I purchased in the fall. Not ideal. So I walked in for a woods fitting, with an iron fitting to follow later. Nick put me through the paces with my driver, 5 wood, and a hybrid. AND ALL HE CHANGED WAS THE DRIVER SHAFT!!!!???? Ive been fit before and in short, Nick did a great job. We tried a half-dozen shafts, agreed on the best alternative to my existing shaft, and then tried a couple more heads. The good news is that he really understands swings and the numbers that come out of the launch monitor. The better news is that he really does want whats best for the customer. So now Im afraid he wont change my irons, and Ill have to find something else to use my credit card for.

As a former country club pro for over 15 years, I am often skeptical when it comes to fittings from people I dont know because I figure they will probably try to BS their way through it thinking I have no clue what they are talking about OR will settle on something just because they have a vested interest in a particular product. That could not be further from the truth with Nick at True Spec-Boston. His knowledge of key metrics and what it takes to maximize performance are top notch and he definitely knows what he is talking about. His number one goal isnt to sell product but to ensure that his customers are happy with the end results of the fitting and I for one am. Tyler was very helpful and knowledgeable. I didnt get a typical fitting as I wanted to find the best set up for my G425 Max driver with my AutoflexSF505 shaft. Got a couple good options - one for overall distance and dispersion, and one more for dispersion.

Nick a True Spec exceeded my expectations! My golf game isn’t traditional and my size and swing speed aren’t average which has always made finding the right clubs difficult. I’ve purchased 3 sets that were “custom” to me in 5 years and never got the consistency I should. I was tired of listening to every self proclaimed golf instructor I played with telling me to swing “easy”. It was time to figure out if it was the Indian or the arrow.Nick at True Spec was the best, and anyone interested in buying new clubs should have this fitting done first. If I had spent the $350 before I would have saved about $6k!Even after getting fit by manufacturer’s reps there were only 3 clubs I could consistently rely on in my bag, 6-iron, hybrid, and putter. My hybrid, 3-wood, and Driver were all Ping with the same (as I was told) x-stiff shaft models, but I hit my hybrid straight and long but the other two not so much, often times almost having the ability to get my driver to get my ball to work more like a boomerang back to the tee box. After having these three clubs blueprinted by Nick the hybrid was the only shaft that was really set up properly for me... From there we found the right shaft for me, keeping my existing 3 wood and driver heads while keeping my entire hybrid setup. Now they all went straight and long.My irons were an inch and a half longer because of my height, as I was told I needed, but after swinging the right shaft needed for my irons I no longer hit it fat and only needed my irons to be lengthened by an inch not an inch and a half. I also had some distance gaps in my wedges which Nick explained how to fix. We deleted a 4-iron from my bag which wasn’t needed and added a gap wedge. As he explained if you carry a 6 iron 215 what do you need a 4-iron for...I’m not joining the tour any time soon but after this I’m a lot less frustrated about my game! Bring on the nice weather, booze, and cigars I’m ready to golf.

I had a full bag club fitting yesterday with Tyler in the Waltham location. With no exaggeration, it was the most fun I have had in years. Tyler was both personable and professional throughout the whole 3.5 hours, and he was focused on the process the entire time. I truly felt listened to and taken care of as a customer...and thats not even the best part...I was laughing like a kid the whole time. At 42, I felt like I had done all the instruction and tweaking that I can, but my swing is my swing. I am also very short, and have only ever used clubs that I bought off the internet, and I have had the same set for 10 years. I knew it was time to get my set that I could use forever and compliment my game. Tyler asked some questions, studied my swing, and took me through the progressions of clubs. Without changing anything about my stance, swing, swing thoughts, nothing...he fit me with clubs that added 25 yards to my irons, and 40 yards to my driver. When I miss, I push it right, and while there are still plenty of those, the clubs he fitted for me make them way less violent and keep them in play.The only bummer is waiting for my new clubs to show up! I am expecting a minimum of 3-5 drop on my hdcp just from the clubs alone...and Tyler is truly invested in what happens, asking me to send him updates throughout the summer so that if anything is not as expected, we can tweak a little more.If you have been on the fence about this process and investment, I can honestly say that it is worth every minute and penny. The feeling of taking a shot with a club that is fitted for you and seeing the results is the coolest thing I have experienced in quite some time. Had an great experience at True Spec, Nick is awesome. I am a 10-12 handicap and had never had a fitting before - it was like getting glasses for the first time. With a quick change of shaft flex and club head type, the heavy “draw” (hook) I always hit turned into a baby draw. Nick is personable, casual, and super knowledgeable about the in infinite questions I peppered him with. He also is great at translating the impressive tracking and simulator data into easy to understand terms. Would definitely recommend and go back.

I have never had my swing analyzed so the wealth of information available to me was amazing. Nick took the time to explain why each data point mattered and how changes in club head and shaft truly impacted my distance and direction. It was a really a lot of fun! And I really recommend getting fit for clubs, especially for women. So much of the stock equipment made for women is for a true beginner. Go get fitted for the right sticks!

The entire experience was really enjoyable and productive, and I learned many things from Nick about swing cause and effect that I’d never known before, even though I’ve been playing for most of my adult life. Excellent experience - I went in for a check up on my irons that are 5+ years old. Nick is extremely knowledgeable about the fitting process and most importantly explains things in laymans terms. Excellent technology, location and site. After spending 1.5hrs trying different head and shaft combinations we determined that my current irons are still a great fit for me. Nick is a true professional, has the best interests of his clients in mind and did not push product on me that I do not need right now. This quality builds trust and will help Nick and the Boston location build a loyal client base and drive sales over the long run.I will definitely be going back to Nick for club check ups and for when I need new equipment.

True Spec Boston was everything I heard and more! Nick was extremely professional and great to work with. Made me feel comfortable from the intro at 230pm until I left 3.5hrs later on a full bag fitting. The quality of the facility, the equipment, and the technology is all top notch! It may cost a little more than your standard retail fitting golf stores but you get what you pay for! My only issue is I live in New England and wont get to use my new Callaway Apex irons until the season kicks off in April 2021. Might need a quick flight to Florida to test these all out ASAP.

Their fitting process is wonderful. I was fit for new irons and feel 1000% confident in the conclusion we came to. My missed shots are usually big sweeping draws/hooks and Nick was able to mitigate the issue by finding a shaft that worked perfectly for my swing. This is the only place Ill get fit from now on.

I went in for a Gap Testing as I had some big gaps in my bag I needed some advice on how to fill. The fitting area was very nice and hitting into the bays was fun. My fitter was knowledgeable, and was genuinely invested in trying to help me get the right solution for my game. Never tried to give me a sales pitch or up sell me on anything at all, and in fact ended up recommending some particular used clubs that would match my set the best.All in all I had a great experience and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them for anything you need.

Nick, the club fitter I worked with yesterday, was great. This was my first real iron fitting, and while Im a fairly accomplished golfer, Im also not a gear head. But I was able to ask tons of questions as we went through the process, shot-by-shot. There is a lot of data feedback that can be overwhelming, but Nick honed in on what was important to me and kept it simple. Very conversational experience. 5 stars.

In my gapping session we identified areas for potential improvement in the mid irons, and identified that the specs of my current driver build were negatively impacting my output and solutions to the issue that offered lower spin, higher launch and 15 extra yards. The next time I am looking to make an investment in my equipment, I will definitely be back.

Great first-time fitting experience (irons and wedges). Nick was patient, knowledgeable, and super helpful overall. Explained some of the basic tenets governing ball flight, without overwhelming me with nuance. Took the time to understand my goals for the session (and budget) before we got started.Fitting itself was really streamlined. After a little warmup to get rid of some more nervous swings, we worked toward optimizing the shaft first, followed by clubhead. I was able to try out a pretty wide range of irons, pretty much everything I wanted. Wedge fitting went by much more quickly--in addition to identifying the right model, Nick helped me optimize lofts and sole/grind setup for my bag.Look forward to playing my new clubs. Had a great Morning with Nick and learned a lot about my golf swing. Was able to demo quite a few sets of irons. Just had a full bag fitting with Nick. Totally satisfied. My Irons were just fine and so were my hybrids which he tweaked a bit to gain some yardage. The big gain was with a driver, which with a different brand and loft, and shaft I gained 15-20 yards and my ball speed had increased. We also gained on my 3 wood by re shafting it and using a different head. But what I really was blown away by, was the putter fitting. I could see why I was pushing and pulling. The new choice was more square through the ball with a great feel. Can not wait to test them out on the course. Great fitting from a very knowledgeable fitter. Thank you Nick

I was shocked at the results Nick was able to achieve with me, and I had a ton of fun analyzing my shots and figuring out what works and what doesnt. Nick is very knowledgable and always explained how club adjustments would affect the shot. I left feeling much more knowledgable about equipment in general, and cant wait to try the new clubs.

I came in with a specific plan where I wanted to add height, spin, and improve the descent angle on my irons, and we were able to get exactly what I was looking for.Nick also helped me understand bounce and grind in more detail for my wedges, as well as took a quick peak at my driver and with one quick fix was able to add upwards of 15 yards to my drive after only 3 swings.Highly recommend Nick for all your club fiitting needs.

The experience at True Spec was everything Id hoped it would be. I even swung by a week early to meet Nick and he was more than accommodating; walking me through the ins and outs of the tech they use and their process. In addition to the experience, True Spec provides results. I play a lot of golf... some good, some not so good. But as a 5 hcp who likes to think he can move it off the tee, I didnt expect there to be substantial gains left on the table with the driver. Nick proved that assumption very wrong. The build we settled on averaged 11 yards of carry longer than the single best swing with my current M1 with a far tighter dispersion. Couldnt give a stronger recommendation!

Excellent process of identifying which elements of the golf club best matched my swing by separating the club head from the shaft. It was amazing to me to see how the same club head could result in entirely different strike patterns just by making small changes in the shaft.Nick really knows his equipment and is interested in putting you in the right set -- even if it means not buying something new, such as making small adjustments to what you already own (he adjusted the loft in a wedge of mine to fill a yardage gap).My primary advice -- get your rest, dont play the same day (or even the day before), because you will be hitting a couple hundred balls and keep an open mind as the results will be right in front of you. Worth the visit.

I had been talking about getting fitted professionally for weeks to my wife, as I had scheduled my fitting for when we moved to MA from AK (finally) so the excitement had been building. This was my first time ever being fitted as well. When I arrived I had a big truck, in Boston area that doesn’t fit so well, and Nick happened to walk out front of the building and took an educated guess that I was his appointment. He guided me to a parking spot that would fit my truck and greeted me outside. This was my first sign that I was going to have a good experience. As we walked inside, Nick briefed me on what we were going to do, asked me my preferences and got to know a little bit about what I wanted out of the fitting, and he finished with “We are going to have fun today”.We started with a club as close to my current set as possible, (mine are currently boxed up in a barge somewhere on the way from AK) to see where I was at, and after only a few swings, Nick knew my shafts were not right for me. Over the next 20-30 minutes (I actually lost track of time I was having a blast), we narrowed my shaft down, after trying out about 5 different ones (apparently I’ve always needed XS on the lighter side). Next we tried out about 6 different clubs from the Mizunos that I had my eye on for the past few years, Titleist that surprisingly surprised me, and then the screw ball that I took one swing and was sold, Honma. Nick didn’t try to push anything, he let me hit anything and everything I wanted, and told me what he saw working for me based on the numbers. The driver fitting, wedges and putter were all the same.I walked into True Spec with a strong idea on what I wanted for clubs: Mizuno irons and Wedges, Titleist or Mizuno driver, and Evnroll putter....what I didn’t expect was that none of those were true. (I walked out with Honma irons, Taylormade wedges, Callaway driver and Betinardi putter) Nick helped me find the clubs that fit my swing, my eye, my feel and comfort. All while having just as much fun watching me smash a driver 330 and see my jaw drop and amazement as I turned to him and said “Oh my god”. This was an awesome experience, and I have been bragging to all of my friends and family ever since.Update!!!Recently went back here for my 3Wood and Hybrid. This time I had the pleasure of working with Tyler, and he was awesome. I think it’s safe to say we both enjoyed fitting me for these clubs as he threw everything he had at me, and eventually got me fitted into both clubs being Taylormade Sim 2. I was surprised by this only because I wasn’t a huge fan of the Taylermade Sim driver, but I was not surprised that I got fitted into a club that I was not expecting to pick. That’s the beauty of True Spec, they have such a variety of clubs, and Tyler was an expert in getting me the right setup for my game. I was looking for control and power with my 3 wood that I could hit off the tee if my driver isn’t working. And for the Hybrid, I wanted a gap filler to go for longer par 5s in two with height and distance. This hybrid, I hit over and over again with EVERY shot landing between 222-224 yards...Tyler made a joke that I should hit PW off of tees to get myself to 223 yards out because of how consistent it was. I’ll be back again next month for a gap analysis with another awesome update I’m sure!Update numero 2!Third time In 6 months (ish). I’ve got my full bag fit here: Callaway Mavrk Driver, Taylormade Sim2 3W and 3H, Honma TRV 20 (4-11...yes 11), Taylormade HiToe 54,58 wedges, Bettinardi B1. I am more than pleased, I brag about my set to everyone (usually only after they notice my sexy beautiful set of clubs). I used to play at about a 4 handicap 5-6 years ago, but gradually played out to about a 9 over the years...I can say with this new set, I’m working my way back down to that 4. Tyler was a HUGE help when I came back for my gap analysis, and got my set spot on for me to go out and shoot a 76 the next round out, and also winning a member-guest tournament that weekend. My experience at True Spec Golf was exceptional. Nick is PGA professional and a expert on fitting you to the proper golf club. With the proper club for your swing you cant help but to be more consistent. Great job!

Honestly, it was my first fitting ever. Played less than 3 years and bought stock clubs. Went in for a fitting and Nick set up some clubs for me to hit. I started hitting clubs and he made small changes thru the whole process. After a few combinations, we pinpointed my ideal combination and Ive never swung a club so smooth that I did not feel the impact of the ball. Nearly perfect impact. I had a great time and I highly recommend this location.

Neil was great to work with and I learned a lot about what fits my swing. I wound up ordering a 3 wood the rest of my bag turned out to be a good fit. There was no pressure to buy anything or replace things that were working well.

It was one of the best golf experiences.I have had fittings on demo days, but this was a complete fitting that had me hitting, ping,, Taylor made, and Titlelist or what ever head and shaft combination that best suited my swing.Nick was amazing and very knowledgeable.Great faculty and great golf pro.I ended up purchasing a complete set of irons, a new driver and a new putter. I checked the prices on line and although the prices were not bargain basement, they were competitive and I know they will stand by their recommendations. Nick said if I have any issues to just come back in.All in all, a great experience. I would highly recommend Tru Spec for anyone who is serious about their golf game.

Nick was awesome and I learned a lot about my swing. He continues to be very helpful as I e-mail him and we really locked down on a few equipment changes that can help me get more consistent. I cannot recommend Nick enough as a Master Fitter. He will get you dialed in and there is no pressure to purchase clubs from them. He e-mailed me within an hour of leaving with a quote that I asked for and several charts and graphs from our session. When something was working well, he told me, and showed me how and where I could improve me set up.The facility is also amazing. Its heaven for golfers with a wall of shafts and drawer after drawer of club heads. Has a clean and modern industrial vibe, and is very easy to get too off of 128 in Waltham.Do yourself a favor and go talk to Nick, you only have strokes to lose!

Was a bit intimidated about going for a fitting but after meeting Nick and all his expertise I was no longer feeling out of sorts!!!! Class act establishment and are clearly up to date with todays technology...Would strongly recommend going to see Nick at True Spec Golf in Waltham, MA...

Nick at the Waltham location was as knowledgeable about fitting as I have ever seen.The patience and enthusiasm showed and was very appreciated.I think it is a no brained to visit him to get the best tools for your game.

Another great experience at True Spec Waltham. I was fitted in the Spring for irons and a new driver (gained 30 yds). This time Nick dialed in some new wedges that suited my game and tendencies. Highly recommend Nick and True Spec!

I went in for driver fitting. Was referred to TSpec by friends; while I expected to be impressed by the service and knowledge of the fitter, I was honestly blown away by their fitting skills and outstanding customer service. Kris M(fitter visiting from AZ store) and Nick D took the time to discover the right head/shaft combo for me. They got me 20 yds (!!) of distance compared to my current gamer, which is not old technology but a 2019 released driver. Go see the guys at TSpec, it is the best investment for your game.
