STAR in Waltham, Lexington is a wonderful store. I try to get there even if its not local to me. The most fabulous artichokes I have ever seen. Most of the vegetables and fruits are very good. Lots of ethnic foods.

Love the staff here. Its usually never that busy and if you only have one person in front of you its even more rare than no line.Almost an upscale store due to amazing staff, products and cleanliness. Great grocery store with wonderful selection of organic fruits and veggies. Their bakery is also very good.

Big store. Good selection. Neat, clean. Helpful staff. Prices a little higher than Im used to. (I normally shop at Stop and Shop or WFM in Arlington or WFM in Medford, occasionally Market Basket in Somerville.)

Meh. Hours listed incorrectly on Google. Got there minutes before they were actually closing. They were out of two of three items I went there for. With the unpleasant greeting by the staff, I didnt want to ask for a raincheck. Wont likely return anytime soon.

Went there recently and the ice cream section is a bit of a disappointment. Doors duct taped and water on the floor, I brought it up a few times to people incharge but I went in almost 2 weeks later and it was the same. As always Helen is nice to me up front with lottery tickets and help finding things... Be nice if they took better care of the restrooms

Employees at this store very loosely follow COVID safety protocol. I often witness managers with masks hanging off one ear or under noses talking right next to properly masked employees. The employee who stocks the refrigerated dairy aisle wears a plastic face shield that is no way mask compliant (witnessed at least 3 separate visits). I highly recommend going elsewhere if you are weary of exposure.Regularly find expired canned or boxed food at this and other Star locations that are expired.Only positive Ive had with this location are the cashiers, who wear masks properly ever time Ive checked out.

Nice clean supermarket. Average selection. They follow all the Covid protocols which makes for a stress free shopping experience. The only complaint I have is the high prices. But if your sanity is more important then a few bucks, give Star Market a try. One last thing. The staff is very friendly and helpful they will make a special order if you need an out of stock item.Teri

While shopping today, I saw a worker, who was running around wearing a face shield without a mask, which is almost useless. He passed close to me at least 3 times. I talked to a worker who supervised self-check out. He said that the worker in a face shield had the permission not to wear a mask. I came home, called the store, told the manager about this situation and received the same explanation. Now, I am trying to reach Star Market Headquarters.

Great place to shop. The neat and produce are second to none. The hot foods bar are always full and fresh. I judge a supermarket on the perishables department and this Star takes second to no place in that area. Friendly service and they just added 4 brand new self check outside which spread the process. Check it out

Does not follow COVID protocols. Go here if youd like to walk by at least two people without masks on. Weve seen this every time we go. Employees often dont wear masks or dont wear them over their noses. Manager tonight was smoking right outside the open door, so the entire check out area smelled of her cigarette smoke. Not the store to go to if youre concerned about pandemic safety.

Another excruciatingly bad Star Market to add to the Waltham-Newton-Chestnut Hill trifecta. The most gigantic bugs were circling the rotten produce on the shelves. A young, female cashier flirting with a male cashier and bagger refused to wear a mask. The bagger, paying zero attention because he was trying to make a move with the cashier, just completely neglected bagging 3/4 of our purchase. Another employee retrieving carts and working inside the front of the store also refused to wear a mask. The place was out of stock of many items in nearly every aisle. And when the prices of things like almond/soy milk are even $2 more than WHOLE FOODS, the place has no redeeming value. This place is a really overpriced, dirty, unsanitary nightmare with careless employees.

Cashier named armond was obviously not healthy enough to do the work. He was leaning on the scanner with labored breathing. This was Oct 2020 which seems like a bad look

I love this market, over and above the convenience of it being close to my home. The manager and employees are friendly and helpful.....they go out of their way to help and ask ......the store is clean....for the most part the prices are competitive....some things I can get less expensively elsewhere, and elsewhere is not to far either....the fresh fish and seafood is always fresh and much variety....I have a lot of out of town company and need seafood and fish in season.....something my guests hope for in Boston!!.....In 2 1/2 years Ive never had a bad seafood or fish order at this market.......the produce is always fresh and the fruit competitive price wise....

Although I saw an expired product. This will not stop me from coming back here. Fruits are fresh, prices are fair, and the place is always clean. Welcoming and friendly staff. Makes it one of the stores I always like visiting.

Star is a clean store but there needs to be a way to keep people from touching food at the salad bar taking food from the South Park eating it and touching more food eating it bacterial transfer is not good I wont touch salad bar after what I saw

The prices are too high and they keep moving products...cant find anything in the store...the staff...clerks....are rude...and dont want to help you...its not the summer workers ...its the regular full time clerks...Its been this way for years...Live close by but only shop there if I run out of something and need it rt away...Dont bother going...drive to a different star or Shaws or stop and shop...

Employees are helpful, most are friendly with a couple I regularly avoid. Shout-out to Armand for always being super cool! The place is clean, but I think its so overpriced. Ive transitioned to Market Basket and come to Star for just a couple brands that I love that I cant find anywhere else.

If this is the place in Waltham then OMG this has got to be the oldest picture that I can ever tell you that Ive seen in a really long time because I can tell you some pictures amazing but this is what it looks like when I was a teenager growing up just a fun fact is a lot of professional sports players that live in the area and every time I went to that Supermarket I always ran into either a Celtic Red Sox or Bruins player for some reason I can tell you the last time I was there I met Anton Walker at the service desk no word of a lie its a lot of luxury condos in that area

Our neighborhood supermarket. Prices tend to be a little higher than competitors but location is very convenient. Produce quality is pretty variable so shop carefully. Excellent chicken (rotisserie, grilled or fried!) in the deli.

Bring your wallet!! They do have a some great deals at times, but when they dont it can get $$$$$.... Store shelves are some on the neatest I have ever seen...

The prepared food is awesome. Sushi, salads, brisket, fried chicken. Its all good

This is a huge place with a wide range of items necessary for your daily needs. As this market situated on a busy street getting in and coming out could be little time taking. I loved the selection of ready to eat foods that you can grab and pay them on their weight basis. Overall a standard market place!

Good location, and a big store. Good sale items every week as I see them. The only thing that the store is lacking, is a better selection of greens, such as dandelion greens etc.

Avoid this place at all costs. Their produce and dairy are sub par - just today I purchased some cheese and its covered in mold.They rarely have enough staff working checkout lines, theres no such thing as a quick trip at this store.Finally, their prices arent even competitive. Save yourself and go another 15 minutes up the road to Wegmans.

There are expired products on the shelves, seen expired yogurts and cocunut water bottles.

Friendly service, good selection... gets the job done

This is my favorite place to shop. They are always super clean, have a wide variety of different foods and their produce is fresh..which is very important to me. If they dont have something you want or need, they will order it for you or give suggestions to help you find the item your searching for. The customer service is wonderful. They go out of their way to help out with anything you may need while shopping. Last thing, they get shoppers right through the lines & out the doors. Ive never had to wait long even during holiday seasons. I wont shop anywhere else..A+ for them.

Check the expiration dates on everything before you buy it. This store does a horrible job managing their stock. I am disappointed every single time I shop there. The prices are higher than many other stores in the area, yet Ive been there and seen yogurt that was 14 days past the expiration date, a tower of parmesean cheese all expired and myriad other foods. One time I bought eggs without checking the expiration date only to get home and realize that they were expired.I talked to a front-end manager about the expired yogurt which I saw when I was there about a week ago. He basically told me that the store managers dont allow them to staff sufficiently to check the stock on the shelves. He did not apologize and he did not say he would go remove the expired yogurt so that customers wouldnt buy it. Instead, he told me he was going to get a different job because he hated working there.This store is an abomination of a grocery store. Avoid at all costs.

This place has good prices on most of their items. Be sure to look for the sales. I used their produce section and my lettuce had lots of sand in it. The deli was very nice and had decent prices and selection.
