Picked up a new rod and reel from this shop today and was met with excellent customer service, and a great selection of other goods. I stopped in here a few years ago as well for hunting supplies and had good experience then too. Im local now so I will be frequenting this store often for all of my fishing/hunting needs!

Good selection of fishing gear and got great advice from one of the employees on what I needed for spring bass fishing. The employee was super helpful and straight forward.I will be coming back here exclusively for fishing gear.

What I have found shopping and visiting Tackle and Field, over the past number of years has been that I appreciate the conversation, and advice much more than I thought when coming to a place like this. I have dealt mainly with Ken, Timmy, and Chris, and everytime Ive been in the store they have been extremely helpful and courteous.I prefer to shop local for outdoor sporting goods and it has its advantages dealing with a reputable business, that employees people who truly love the outdoors as much or more than their customers do.The staff here is very helpful when it comes to selecting the right equipment for the situation and dont try to sell you anything that you dont need.The real value with a store like this one, is the advice, and friendships you build over the years.

They are a well stocked tackle and fieldsporting store with knowledgeable people very willing to help and offer assistance. They are depleted of guns and ammo at this time, but that is not their fault. The pandemic and citizens run on guns and ammo has caused shortages throughout the United States.

Great outdoor sports store in the style of Cabellas, but on a local scal. Hunting, fishing, and all that goes with. Some beautiful mounts on display. All that you would hope for.

Went here to get my first fishing rod and reel. Given excellent advice by owner on what gear to get as a first time fisherman. Was shopping on a budget and not pressured with any up sell. For a great price I got great gear and will return for other outdoor needs.

This is the place to go for anything related to bow hunting, archery, crossbow, etc. Im just getting in to the sport and Tim was very thorough, helpful and knowledgable in making sure my equipment was set up appropriately for the range portion of hunting license exam. Ill be back here in the future. The wide selection of archery products is much more extensive than what I have seen at other outfitters.

Might have gone on an off day - my experiences did not match the many reviews below. Went in with my husband who is looking to get into fishing, and needed help getting set up with a pole and tackle set. His questions were shrugged off, and the employee just pointed around the store. We had been recommended to visit by a local who said wed be able to get everything we need. I can see this shop would be great for an established customer, or an experienced hunter/fisherman, but as beginners, we didnt feel very welcome. We ended up going to Davis (as the second recommendation by this friend), and there the employee was very patient with us and we walked out with everything we needed. Were open to trying this Ringwood shop again, but want to feel like we wont be ignored again. Were looking to spend local as we learn these new hobbies.

This place is great for purchases for any outdoor activities. They have everything you need for water sports, hunting, and fishing! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable on everything that they carry. I highly recommend going!

They have everything from kayaks and fishing poles and knives to outdoor gear accessories archery equipment arrowheads and guns. They issue fishing licenses there and the employees all seem to know what theyre talking about. Ive been there a few times and each time it is clean and organized inside. There is plenty of parking in the lot.

Family oriented outdoor sporting goods. Have been using for years. Cozy, neighborly atmosphere. Not many NJ shops like it anymore.

Staff is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. They not only helped me pick out everything I needed to buy in order to hunt, but also helped me by answering any questions I had about the sport and have given me great tips and tricks that have helped me learn. Thanks to them I harvested my first animal on my second day of hunting!

Never really leave reviews but these guys are awesome!Im new to the archery world and have been to a couple shops, both of which have left a bad taste in my mouth and wary of ever finding a friendly pro shop.I was in the area and came in here to get some arrows cut and ended up chatting with Ryan for well over 30min. Will definitely be bringing my bows back here for servicing when I can, bc theyre def worth the 1hr+ drive. Knowledgeable and not pretentious at all. Customer service on point!

Hands-down my favorite outfitter!! They have an awesome selection of fishing supplies and kayaks, and the staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I live an hour away and am always happy to make the drive here because of how many choices they offer. Highly recommend!

The boys over here know their stuff. Fishing, firearms, archery. Go check out Timmy upstairs in the archery department. He knows what to do.

We come here for live bait when fishing and they always give us hardy shiners that last longer than most. They have an entire first floor of anything fishing tackle you need at good prices, and it seems the hunting/camo clothing is upstairs.

Staff are fantastic and extremely knowledgeable. This is my first year hunting and i have no one to learn from and everyone in the store answers all of my questions and are very encouraging.

I called the store and asked about a product nucanoe frontier 12. They sold out. And only had the limited edition red and black. No problem. For so I asked to hold it for me. They said no problem. So I take the 1hour and 30 mi Ute drive out there. When I inquired about the nucanoe they said sorry they have all been sold. I told them I was the guy who called this morning. And he started to laugh saying sorry. Didn’t know it was who. And immediately started. Taking care of me the entire staff there were so amazing the atmosphere in the store is incredible. I felt so welcomed and will definitely drive out there again that type of service now is rare. And they are a store full of great associates. So thank you tackle and field for making my trip there and back enjoyable. Those guys are great

They always have what I need. However, their reduced hours of operation during this time makes it almost impossible for people who are still working full-time to buy anything during the week or even on Sunday.

I went there to get an old bow strung and I was really impressed with the knowledge and friendliness of the staff. Large selection and realistic pricing makes this place a WINNER!

My Fortrex Motor was on the fritz and Frank fixed it right away. I loved that they were open on the weekend too. I spent a few hours there on Sat but I was back on the water again by mid -day. As for the tackle selection you will not be disappointed as it has a lot of hard to find items that you wont find in your typical big box stores.

I just wanted to write a review.My Grandfather purchased a gun(December), got a staph infection in his neck at 79.The entire thing sucks, he bounced back thankfully. He told me to take ownership of the gun in February. After 2 months of waiting on the town i live, i was able to go forward. Just wanted to say thanks for working with me.

Best bait and tackle store in the area

This shop has been my place for fishing needs for some time now but by far my best experience with this store was when i decided i wanted to learn to hunt with a compund bow. I knew very little of compund bows outside of my research online, i went into the shop and spoke the guy who worked in the bow section upstairs, i dont remember his name, he not only took the time to answer all my questions but was able to help me find a beginner compund bow that i liked and set the bow up for me suggested which arrows i should buy and cut them for me. He was very personal with his costumer service and made me feel as though he valued me as a customer and wanted to help me find exactly what i needed, not the most expensive thing he could sell me but the bow that fit what i was looking for. He also seemed to enjoy telling me all he could about the products i was looking at which was very nice
