I do not recommend this place. I took my car in for a diagnostic test. I did everything that was told to me. After several repeated visits, my car is not operating. I spent over $4,000 in repairs from which I was told I needed. The first visit, the shop had my car for about 4weeks, they told me they were giving me a full diagnostic.I took my car in the last time because the coolant was still running out, this was 1 of the jobs that was supposed to be fixed. I was charged more money. I picked my car up on a Monday and on Wednesday it ran completely hot and all of the fluid was out. I was taken advantage of. The manager offered to have my car towed into the shop so that he could look at it. I heard nothing from them for about a month. I continued to get excuses the reason no one had called to give me any answers about my car. Finally after several weeks of waiting, my final call was you need an engine. Please be careful when making a decision about this place.

Let me tell you the other person who post is telling the truth. They will keep charging you for different things knowing its not going to fix the problem. They are scam artists and the secretary is a shady attitude woman.

They certainly went the extra mile and provided me 1st class service. Thanks again Richard, like I said, Im a customer for life!!!

Shell help you save money (dont forget your veterans id) and she calls you after the work is done to make sure everything is good.Great people, great service!

My trucks clutch went out on Labor Day and they still answered my call after hours on a holiday. Took my truck that day and following business day had a diagnosis and a price for repairs. They were very helpful in the process and I had my truck in no time. I would recommend this shop to anyone.

Outstanding people! I mostly dealt with Marie, the customer service rep. Shes bubbly and very helpful. Myrie (yes, different person) was the mechanic that fixed my lights. Super nice guy and fixed my problem fairly quickly. Prices were very fair. Owner was a cool guy too. Lastly, theyve got some really cool dogs that hang out up there.

I dropped my car off at 10AM one day for a grille installation and they said they would call me back when it was done (they estimated 2 hours and quoted $250 as the price). Waited until 4PM for a call and NEVER got one so I called myself and they said they NEVER installed it, so I waited all day and they never installed it and never bothered to call me >:( because they needed a special tool despite people on YouTube and internet installing it FINE without ANY mention of a special tool. They said they just put everything back together and they did BUT screws were loose, bumper fitment was incorrect and original grille was not fitted correctly (I asked them to fix it and they did). I went to RCI collision and they finished it in UNDER 2 hours without the need of a special tool and was ONLY $100.CONCLUSION: Even automotive YouTubers with zero experience are better than this place (at least in terms of this scenario and my experience), and if you need ANY bodywork done, RCI collision is the better choice

Everyone needs a reliable mechanic, and finding one is always nerve-wracking because so much is on the line. I went to Universal Motorsports on the recommendation of Carmax back in May and they have been my go-to guys ever since. They are fast, courteous, and responsive on top of doing great mechanical work. I have never had a bad experience, and would highly recommend them to anyone who needs any kind of work done on a vehicle.Hands down, the absolute best auto shop Ive ever been to.

This shop has been the most helpful. I am in FL, but they have been there to help with mechanical issues that my son has had with his truck while stationed there. They are always friendly on the phone. I was so impressed that they sent pics of what they worked on. Prices are comparable to where I live. I have not been there myself, but the way they have always been so willing to go the extra mile makes me highly recommend University Motorsports!

My overall experience at Universal Motorsports was wonderful! I was told by the dealership that I needed almost $2000 in repairs so I took my car to them and it turns out all I needed was a belt and tensioner!!!! Very disappointed with the service and knowledge of this facility. I was charged for them doing no work on my car. They couldnt complete a simple test on my car without trying to charge me for an unecessary part. I would recommend you go to another shop!

It was my birthday yesterday my boy friend car messed up and was having a bad day. Miss marie offered to take me home when she realized it was my birthday and that I would be stuck up there for 4 hours... and then I forgo my key a s the manager of the store or shift met us half way to bring it to me. Blew a serpentine belt and was worried about collateral damage. Was able to tow the car in Monday at 5pm and they replaced the belt, replaced the bad compressor, checked it out, and even topped off the freon. Car was ready and good as new by 5 on Tuesday at a great price. Cant speak highly enough of Miz Marie and Team Universal. I hope I dont need help again but if I do, I know where Im going.

I came to Universal Motorsports for a full synthetic oil change and thank God they noticed my serpentine belt had cracks in it! It would have been a bad day had they not looked over everything real good. I cant believe the last place I went too didnt even catch onto the fact it was in such bad shape. These guys are the best and although I live 45 minutes away, Ill only be bringing my car to them from now on.

I brought my Landrover in to have the alternator replaced and according to the dealership, it was going to cost me $1361. Thats not even including the tow bill from Perry to Atlanta! Once my truck got to the shop, the sweet receptionist quoted me only $924!! They started working on it right away and I joke you not, in an hour and a half maybe 2, my Rover was pulled around front ready to go!!! Talking about EXCELLENT SERVICE, PRICE AFFORDABLE, & QUALITY WORK!?! Im so glad I was referred to this place because I wont be taking anymore long trips to Atlanta!

Courteous workers. Booked through CarMax where my vehicle was purchased a few months back. Usually husband takes care of oil changes so this is first time I took care of it. Next time I know I need to ask questions -- what type oil? what are options? what is the cost? -- up front. Silly mistake on my part! However, they were very professional and got the job done quickly when I arrived for my appointment!

I will never use this place again! Initially I thought it would be a good experience. My normal car repair place was unable to accommodate me and I needed to have my car towed to a repair shop. I explained my situation, the fact that I travel often and work out of the area. I explained that there was no extreme rush. The man (James) and the woman (Kelly) that I spoke with never mentioned a storage fee over the phone or otherwise. It wasn’t until they had already started applying storage fees was I notified of these additional charges. I could have disputed some of the charges because I have recordings of them never mentioning extra fees until after they were being charged, but I didn’t. On Saturday, I received a somewhat rude message from the owner, where he eluded to putting a lien on my car! Mind you, they had not had my car at their garage for a long time. I was certainly taken aback because I have never encountered such a thing. I will simply go back to ROBERTS AUTOMOTIVE in Bolingbroke, GA. It’s way more convenient if you live or work north of Byron, GA. ROBERTS has serviced all three of my luxury/German vehicles quite well in the past and they have never charged me for the “storage of my cars” or assessed additional undefined fees. Honestly, I feel that I was scammed by Universal Motor Sports, but I’ll take the hit.... lesson learned...Never Again!!!!#### In response to you James! I explained to you that my travel schedule can be difficult! Your dates are incorrect and the AAA tow records will prove that! I was not on your premises and therefore had no way of SEEING any notice on your wall regarding storage fees. On multiple occasions you left messages, but never mentioned storage fees until they were already being incurred. Yes, maybe leaving my car was unconventional, but I also explained to you that I rarely drive that car and that my daughter who is a college student would come with me to drive it back after she returned to GA. I also explained to you that my husband passed away last year and that he typically would handle these things!!! You are correct, I have no desire to come to any agreement with you because if that was your desire, you would have said so when we spoke on Saturday. My feelings are quite concrete as it relates to my experience with Universal Motor Sports. Typical situation of car repair people trying to take advantage of women/people. So this is my story about this place, my truck(2007 nissian frontier 4L 6cylinder) had to go to the shop for an engine light which said service engine soon now it was towed from my house for $55, and James the owner( this guy knows so much about vehicles and science in general) took care of my truck even agreed to send pictures because I work a night schedule and sleep during the day. Now they made a mistake when putting it back together ( a simple loose bolt were human and all make mistakes here cant say Im perfect at my job either) after all the work they did which was extensive and I wrote another review yesterday when I discovered this and was very pissed off however universal knows they made a mistake and agreed to look it back over and replace the bolt that was missing no charge. These people here are good and not here to rip you off like other mechanic shops.Id still take my vehicle here and my wifes even If I had to drive across the country from another duty station. This is the only shop in WR you should bring your vehicle to unlike the dealerships here that charge $140 an hour universal is only $90 an hour and way more friendly than any other place here.

Worst experience ever!!!! Im a deployed military member and my wife is retired. They tried to extort my wife by overcharging us. A tune up and replace belts and hoses. Price: $825. When we ask whats next to be replaced, they mentioned the radiator hoses. WAIT!!!! DIDNT YOU JUST REPLACE THEM? Calling the BBB because something will be done when I get back. He replaced my carburetor and didnt fix the timing. Cmon man... That textbook. Then James told my wife that he would take care of it personally. He didnt. Some other guy handles the work that shouldve been done three first trip. Wont ever come back. Email me if you want to see the receipts.January 20, 2018- Followup to this post.I came back last weekend and send an email to universal to so if they were going to correct my dieselling issues from the carburator issue that they or on. No response. Just to recap invoice #2776 was the work order that indicated I was charged money for adjustments to correct this problem THAT IS STILL UNRESOLVED ALMOST A YEAR LATER!

I have a 1994 ford ranger extended cab xlt. It was a crap box when i took it to them. I told them to make it nice. They completely rebuilt the entire truck. It now has a built 4.0 ohv sporting a beefed up 5 speed manual transmission. 373 posi traction 8.8 rearend. This beast is fast. They also intalled a complete whelen strobe system with siren and p.a. system. On top of a complete sound system that is off the charts. Definitely the best shop in all of georgia. They have my business for life. Also very reasonable prices and awesome work. Great techs as well.
