I contacted them via Social Media. I sent some photos of a vintage dining set that was left to my sister and I. The owners asked what I was asking and I named a price or best offer - so I was clearly willing to negotiate and not firm on the price. The only price point we had to go by was an estate sale person gave us a vague idea so I threw it out there. After I told them what I was asking they replied back we will pass. There was no further explanation. Since they didnt elaborate why they were passing, I wrote back that we were willing to negotiate on the price and my sister was willing to take less than the original amount I suggested. Their response was that I had set the bar too high to respectively negotiate . To me the entire interaction was just strange. After exchanging a few messages they stated they had never sold a set for the price I asked and they asked me how I expected them to respond . Well, I expected them to respond with the price they were willing to pay if my price was too high - not refuse to negotiate with me. I had specifically asked what they thought they would pay since my price was too high and they refused to name a price. They responded that when a seller asks too much they would rather refuse to negotiate with the person rather than insult someone with a low offer and then went on to say the next time I should research what items are worth before setting a price. I was completely baffled by these responses. What a tone to set with a potential customer. In fact, they were acting as if they were so insulted by me asking what they deemed to be too much that they were declining my business. I own a small business myself and interact often online with people - I cant imagine responding to potential customers in this manner. Ive had people ask me for discounts etc that I deem unreasonable but I always respond politely and counter offer them with the prices I am willing to do or that the price point is not negotiable, but I am very polite. I have never declined to work with someone for no reason. At this point, I could see this was going nowhere and they were honestly just being rude. My last message told them they might want to consider being a bit nicer to potential clients instead of being rude or refusing to negotiate and explained in this case, they were dealing with grieving family members. I asked them not to contact me again hoping to end all interaction with them.I had a bad feeling about the entire interaction so I blocked their page to ensure no more messages. I told my sister what occurred to ensure she didnt reach out and try to contact them on her own since they were one of the closest dealers to her. Shortly after our messages, the owner found my online business and signed up for account at the handmade market place I sold on. They then ordered a very small item that was only a few dollars. It was almost a little frightening that they would troll my social media, find out my business, and then go over to my shop and order after a very negative interaction. On my shop, you cannot leave a review unless you order something. So am fairly certain the intention was to leave a negative review as a way to retaliate because I had left their business a negative review . The entire thing was a little scary. There are many bad reviews on here . I would take these seriously. I wish I had never contacted them.

I called them to see if they were open and if they bought and sold gold. The person who answered was very short with me and said he was to busy to just give prices out and only to come in if I was going to sell it. Said that appraisals were $25. Have managed two different businesses and have even traveled to different towns to give free estimates. I have never told a potential customer that I was to busy to give them a price. And $25 is way too much for 2 minutes of their time. Its just overcharging potential new customers. I wouldnt be surprised that they are having friends and family giving the good reviews to counter the bad ones. In my experience no one writes abed review unless they really had a bad experience whether it was their own fault or not. It is also bad business ethics to tell someone that they are in the wrong to offer any price because the owner has personal bills. We all do. If you dont like the price offered just say you are not able to accept it.

Very nice store. Lots of cool things. Owners on the other hand! Very nice, until you make them an offer they dont like. Was actually escorted out of the store because I offended him with an offer. When asked how much he was going to ask, he replied he just got it in and hadnt cleaned it up yet. He said probably $100. After looking at several things upstairs and down and also taking a picture of a couple things our son wanted I asked if he would take $50? You have to start somewhere. Thought he might come back with $75 or $85 and I would have bought it. But instead he made this big seen about me insulting him and now it was $150. That he had a family to feed, thinking hes joking i told him I did too and you have to start somewhere. So instead of being a smart business man he throws my wife and I out of his store. His wife was just as rude as mentioned in above reviews. If I would have been a jag to him in the beginning I would have understood. Good luck hope you make it....

First time going to the downtown store. The man was super helpful and very nice. He really has a great knowledge and passion for vintage stereo equipment. Probably one of the nicest antique stores Ive been to; clean and unique pieces with very reasonable pricing. Cant wait to hit up the second store!

I love shopping here! I have never once had a bad experience here, maybe its because I dont expect a small family run business to negotiate half off on their prices. Ive never received a discount on my gas or electricity bills, why would I expect a discount on my antique purchase? Be friendly to people and people will be friendly to you.

Brent has always treated me good, is glad to see me when I walk in the store, and has been generous with any dealings we have done together, and their stuff is priced right. Until you walk a mile in a business-owners shoes, you will never be able to appreciate what it takes to bring quality goods to the marketplace like they do. They work hard and it shows. I will always do my antique shopping there first.

Amazing! Great business, friendly staff, and one of a kind items. My sister raved and raved about this place but I was reluctant to go since I read a few bad reviews online. Im glad I did. Its not like most antique stores. It was clean and organized. Soon as I entered the store I was greeted and asked several times if I needed any help. Ill definitely be returning and telling everyone about this family owned business. I usually dont leave reviews but I didnt want anyone else to hesitate like I did.

Not sure whats going on with the one star reviews, must just be a few grumpy customers because my experience was just fine. Both of the workers were friendly and helpful. A great small family business. Will be shopping here again!

Great selection, great owners, IGNORE the one stars from the Grumpy didnt get their ways. I personally observed someone not get their way wanting to sell something to the store owner, he was straight and to the point and very fair. HEY....if you bring in something to sell and you do not like his price, turn around and go sell it yourself. Speaking of prices, item prices throughout the store are very fair. Here is a secret...best selection of Vintage stereo equipment you can imagine at the in store (BathHouse records).

Its been a while since I have been there, in person. Last time, they were still in a small warehouse. Ive gotten a few odd, rare, and cool things there in the past, and this time, I was is need of some retro speakers, as mine finally blew out. I contacted them through Facebook Messenger, asking if they had anything similar, shipping wasnt an issue, old school sound, loud & proud IS the issue. Brent replied back within an hour, with a link to an ebay vendor who sells replacement parts and rubber seals. I was looking to spend upwards of $200 for speakers & shipping, I was given an option which cost $23.99 total, that would be quicker, easier, and hundreds cheaper.Reading a couple negative reviews about their greed just makes me wonder how much negativity is festering inside of those poor souls. I think they need to crank up some Metal, and let that darkness out!Greedy? Rude? I dont think so.I think its also quite obvious that they wanted to sell their wares for full market value, which Indiana Antique Company doesnt even do. Ive haggled with Brent, and enjoyed the ancient Silk Road ways of old.A level-headed, savvy wheeler & dealer will enjoy this business. Thanks for being so cool, and honest! Cant wait to visit, or purchase online, again!

They were incredibly rude to me on a social network site. All I did was ask why they dont post prices when people ask. They sent me a message in response, but then blocked me before I could even reply.I was not rude or mean. Warsaw is a long drive and I wanted to know prices or at least a range before taking the trip. They reacted poorly and will not receive my business now.

Do not understand the general tone of the female owner. The gentleman is quite cut and dry, but at least he wants to do business and make money. The wife is often very rude, curt and point blank nasty. I would say 9/10 visits have been grossly unpleasant. The merchandise and presentation is great, its the wife that is the problem! Please, please rethink your attitude- your business is worth it.

Its a great store when it comes to the items. Why I give it one star is because every time I have gone in there they are VERY rude. They just stare at you and watch you as if with every move you are about to rob the place, they are very disrespectful when you try to talk to them and they arent helpful. I honestly dont recommend this place. I have never heard a good thing about the store, everyone warned me, but I had to see for myself. Its sad for a good store the people ruin it.
