This is a great little shop where you can get a limited selection of Asian dry goods and such with a whole lot of gifts. One of the shops that still make D.C. Chinatown still actually feels like a Chinatown. Its really worth going in there and check when you visit, you might find something cool! If youre a DC resident and need some Asian goods without having to go to VA or MD, you can find some basic stuff here.
Love the variety- always come in here each time I’m in DC to grab all my supplies I need
Small and cozy store. Dont forget to grab your oolong tea.
This place always has the ingredients for which Id otherwise need to go to a dedicated asian grocery and leave the city. As someone without a car, it has been a true lifeline the last few years Ive been in DC, and now more than ever with covid. The grandma at the register is the sweetest and most wonderful and deserves all of the happiness and health the world can offer.
SIMPLY AMAZING 😍😍; AFFORDABLE PRICING.. Best place for tea of all sorts as well as other essentials... Staff provides outstanding customer service while nowledgement of products..
Earlier I attempted to come back for a painting I had seen with the price tag of $8.99, when I went to pay the older lady scratched off the tag in front of my own eyes, and said it was wrong and went through asking her daughter to go through this whole finding-something-the-same-size scam to upcharge to $15.99. I had shown her footage of me finding it and of the price tag in case they thought we put our own price tag for whatever reason, but they insisted on charging me as much as the others which I obviously did not want because of their prices, which additionally were not in any way the same series of paintings. Right or wrong the price ON the item should have been honored and they should not have been so stingy for a few dollars. As a tourist I felt disgusted, I have such a appreciation for Asian aesthetics and culture and was planning to come back for more of their higher prices goods but to challenge their own price to get more out of me is just bad mannerism.Keep in mind most of the good reviews are coming from people who have not bought anything, everything there is amazing granted, but if you read others reviews with Buying-experiences its just sad.
I love this place, they have groceries, kitchen supplies, dishes, Chinese herbs, supplements, sundries and more. They are always helpful. Call for covid hours.
This store is great for both shopping and sightseeing. I go there because of their extensive tea collection. Some of their tea boxes are as little as two dollars, for teas that are way more interesting than what you would get at your typical grocery store.
One of few places in the DC area with a Baijiu selection. Good selection of teas, spices, and ginsengs too!
Great little shop for gifts, cutlery, decorations, snacks, and some dry goods. There wont be any produce, as it is more of a general store, but you can find lots of familiar Chinese sauces, cooking spices/flavorings, instant noodles, and snacks. Along the left aisle youll find many eating utensils, both ceramic and plastic: rice bowls, chopsticks/holders, soup spoons, etc. Above these are little figurines which make for great gifts. Would recommend checking out.
Amazing store! Every essential sauce you need for Chinese cuisine, plus more! Also, the staff is very friendly :)
My favorite place to get ginger honey lemon tea.
Bought a total of 10 items to only come home and fine 3 in my bag. I had selected 3 items originally, but the total did not come to $10 which was required when using card and so when walking around the store to find more to raise more total I’m assuming that’s where they got me and lead me to pay more for less items. Ridiculous. Waste of money.
Last bastion of Chinatown in DC amazing store with everything you could imagine at really affordable prices!
Great customer service. The lady there was very helpful in helping us find what we needed today. When we bought the nunchucks, she was very patient with letting us test them. Will definitely return!
Nice little gem in the otherwise largely modernized D.C. downtown. Great selection of knick knacks including wooden toys and swords for kids and porcelain china. Also has a decent variety of perishable food items and Chinese supplements. Friendly staff.
I love this place its a little tight and its so small but every time I go to DC Im always carrying something back from this place this trip was Sushi plates and soup bowls :)
Best herbs and teas ever!!!!! If you want to cleanse anything.....come here.
Love this place. Prices were great and the staff was very friendly!
Lots of unusual grocery items reasonably priced for the location. Always enjoy shopping there.
Very helpful and patient great herbal remedies and tea as well as crockery
This store is AMAZING. A true DC staple.
Love this place one of the few remaining Chinese grocery stores left in Chinatown
Looking for Ginger Coconut candy ~ no longer on stock
Lots of interesting wares, like Chinese teas, oils, mini fountains... And the staff were polite and sweet. We bought some Japanese green tea and peas from them.
Excellent shop if you are looking for Feng shui related items .. They have awesome collection and reasonable prices
We went in just try to buy hat. The owner, Mother and the daughter ( I guess?) were very nice! Very accommodating.
Love that store, such a jewel! The woman working today was, as usual, very helpful and pleasant.
This place has an amazing selection of tea and pretty much anything else that you can imagine. Many mixed by hand right in store. This is something to see.
Good service. Great products. Long time customer.

I soooooo love this place I come here for everything before even going to my doctors from my cycle to weight gain, natural herbs and plus I must say I came after closing and they still got me exactly what I needed and they are very polite
One of the gems of Chinatown. Very good and reasonably priced wares from China and East Asia. Highly recommended to pay with cash to support this small business, which they really appreciate for orders that are $10 or under.
Very helpful and they have everything.
Loved the Asian trinkets and Chinese medicinals..
This is the place tbat u can find the chinese medication and grocery
Great store. Looking forward to going back
I Love going here for the different teams. And the ginger candy.
Lots of things there. Nice atmosphere
I love shopping at Da Hsin Trading. Great customer service
Authentic oriental products(food, medicine, teas, liquors) you wont find in any American store.
Didnt see it but probley good
Great place to pick different Asian products. Friendly staff.
You able to get all your herbal teas at great price
Stopped by the trading company just to see what was all about and boy...was I impressed. It felt like I had been transported back to Okinawa, Japan circa 1993! There was a wide range of teas, candies, and novelty items that you simply will not find at your local wal-mart. They even have Asian spirits that can only be bought exotic places. If you are in. China Town...stop by the Trading Company. #dc #chinatown #omegapsiphi #dabruhz #runningfromitwillnotsaveyou #washingtondc
For all your asian decor and other neat stuff for the house at bargain prices
Nice place for tourists to shop.
Exactly what you think it is. Good place for inexpensive Asian gifts and foods.
Great place to buy anything from tea to fly traps to mini buddhas!
If youre looking for Chinese medicine or a nice robe, this is the place.
Good place to get little small gifts.
Not sure why Google asked me to review Ive never been here
NOT A DISPENSARY AS LISTED ON GOOGLE. THEY ARE INTENTIONALLY MISREPRESENTING!!
Cute store with Chinese imported goods and trinkets.
A strange collection of East Asian souvenir shop and Chinese medicine. There is plenty of alcohol available here with a nominal selection of rice and food.
I like it but they could work on customer service
Okay

Before I went, I called and asked if they had any bamboo boats, and specifically said that it was a friends store that opened, and I was going to give it as a gift. They said on the phone that they did, but I was worried and emphasized that I would drive over for more than an hour, and they said yes. When I arrived, they said no, thinking I was talking about something else. I said I’m going to drive over for more than an hour. If you don’t figure it out, just say it? Not to mention bamboo boats, there are no bamboo-related things. The clerk said, why dont you look at others? I said OK. I fell in love with a rockery, and asked her if it could run water. She said she didnt know. I asked again, besides this sample, are there any new ones? She said she didnt know, and she was looking for it. I said you can find it, Im at the door. I found it and called me. As a result, I waited for a while and didnt respond, so I went to the clerk again, but she was busy with other things. I asked her, have you finished searching? She said that she didnt seem to have, and she called the boss but didnt answer. Although I find it very unreasonable, I have come here, and I dont want to make a trip in vain. So I asked her, is that sample good? She actually answered that she didnt know! ! ! Normal people will say that I will give you a try, right? They have no sense of responsibility, and no matter where you are from or how long it takes to come, they dont care! I had to drive back for more than an hour. What a disgusting experience! Before I drove there, I called them and asked if they had a bamboo boat. I also told them that my friends shop was opening and I planned to give it as a gift. They told me on the phone that they have it, and I emphasized that I would drive for more than an hour, and they said OK. When I arrived, they said they didnt have it, thinking I was talking about something else. I told them I was going to drive over an hour, and they said yes without figuring it out? Not to mention bamboo boats, there is nothing bamboo about them. The clerk said why dont you look at something else? I said OK. I had a crush on a rockery, asked her whether the little waterway flows. she said I dont know. Then I asked, in addition to this sample, do you have any new ones? She said again that she didnt know and had to look for it. I said let me know when you finish. Ill be at the door waiting. I waited for a while and nothing happened, so I went back to the clerk and she was busy with something else. I asked her if she had finished looking. She said that it seemed that theres not and that She called the boss and didnt answer. Although I feel very unreasonable, however, come to all, I didnt want to make a trip in vain . So I asked her, deos that sample work? She answered that she didnt know!! Again! ! A normal clerk would say let me check it out for you, wouldnt they? They dont care where youre from or how long it took you to get here. I had to drive back for another hour or so. Its disgusting!
If it were for the merchandise they sell and the attention they provide, I would rate them as 5 Plus, but finding a parking space even on weekdays is hard work, and the traffic is somewhat violent.
