I needed unexpected and urgent repairs on my car two days before taking off on a road trip. The team at Mt. Pleasant Auto Repair replaced my A/C compressor and a bunch of rat-eaten wiring in 36 hours, was super friendly and easy to work with, and charged an extremely reasonable price. I’d take my car here again in a heartbeat.

I had an issue with my car muffler and they replaced it very quickly and called me before doing anything. They showed me the old parts that they removed too. I checked quotes with other shops and Mt. Pleasant Auto charged me less than those quotes. I would only ask in the future for an itemized receipt to know exactly how much they are charging for labor. Im always skeptical of auto shops and what they charge!!

We love Mt. Pleasant Auto Repair. They do good work quickly, at fair prices, and are very honest. The owner called me after a job one day to say he had charged me by mistake for someone elses bill and owed me a refund. Not eveey business would do that.

My boyfriend and I were traveling from DC to California and needed brakes done immediately. It was a stressful trip and the shop was very nice and took our care right away and we were on the road within 2 hours. We HIGHLY recommend their shop!!!

This was my first time using Mt. Pleasant Auto Repair and Im so happy that I did! I chose them because theyre conveniently located in DC. I desperately needed new tires on my car and when I called they said to go ahead and bring the car by and they would give me a few quotes based upon tire preference. They ended up providing me with 6 options including the cost of labor and I was ecstatic about the transparency! Since I was already taking my car in I asked them to do an oil change and to adjust a broken mirror and to check the AC. They did all of these things but called me for each item to let me know the cost as they worked on my vehicle. While working on the vehicle they let me know the back brakes needed to be cleaned and adjusted. They completed all of these fixes within less than 24 hours. Im super happy with the convenience, quality, and price. As long as I live in DC, they have a customer for life.

I needed an oil change, but was almost convinced I would need new brake pads. A past mechanic further away from my home said I had about 6 months left (almost 8 months ago). Mt Pl Auto Repair checked them for me and gave me an honest answer that I still had 45% of the pad left. Its the honesty I appreciate and would definitely go back for more mechanical work when needed.

These guys have helped me 3 times in the last month. They installed a hitch on my SUV, ran an electrical line from front to back, and changed a hitch ball on a hitch mount. Each job was quick, even though they are clearly busy all the time, well done, and reasonably priced.

Ok. So my car was making a crazy sound in these crazy times. After a melt down and margarita I called a mechanic who came to my apartment. Everything was great until he said I need new parts $500 over the price of brakes and rotors. I called Mount Pleasant Auto. Not only did they fix my car but I didnt need the alleged caliper. As a woman this place was fair, fast and friendly.

I am conflicted about writing this review because Mt. P Auto Repair has many positive reviews. However, my experiences were not positive.1. Mt. P Auto Repair diagnosed and serviced my ignition system. Three weeks later, I spent $1300 at Lindsay Ford to have my ignition system diagnosed and repaired. The dealership found that one of my spark plugs was not sufficiently torqued and close to ejection from the head!2. Less than a year ago, Mt. P Auto Repair replaced all of my break pads and today, I spent $800 at Lindsay Ford replacing break pads that were metal-on-metal.Yes, they are locally owned and operated.Yes, their shop rates are better than the competition.Yes, there are no lines.Just be careful.

I used their services twice so far. 1st time was urgent, in the afternoon and they still had a quick, non-stressful turnaround. 2nd time (recent) they fixed brake pads. A previous mechanic wanted me to replace the rotor and refused to give me an honest assessment. Not only did Wilson directly tell me the state of my rotors, he let me decide if I wanted to fix it yet. I’m confident in and comforted by Mt Pleasant Auto Repair’s expertise and customer service!

Had a very easy, positive experience with this repair shop.AC had stopped working - mechanics diagnosed and repaired the issue in ~24 hours at a very reasonable rate.

I was planning on dropping my car off to have tires changed and picked up later that day. The gentleman at the desk told me that there was no need and they would expedite it so that I could drive out ASAP. They were quick and reasonably priced and would be happy taking my car back for any sudden repairs.

They were trying to charge me if memory serves a $100 fee to diagnose what was wrong with my car. They would not have deducted that from the labor costs had I chosen to make a repair. This isnt orthodox in any other shops Ive been to and there are many other garages in the area who dont do this.

Last minute major repair on a BMW. Brought my car in smoking and undrivable. Repaired it in 1 1/2 business days and was honest and very friendly.

Do not do business with this shop. They will rip you off. I was just charge $70 to have two lights changed. That’s five minutes of labor and under $10 in parts. You do the math.
