Super cool store in a hot spot. I first heard about this store from a friend whose son lives in CA. He loves it so much that he has the Invite Only membership. Naturally, I was excited to see that they have a store front in DC and was not disappointed. The Bruery offers a nice variety of beer including my favorite -- sours! Shop has a homey vibe. It looks like an industrial barn with lots of natural lighting, as opposed to a gas station or no-name liquor store. These days, the experience is everything. The two members on staff were the perfect sellers; they gave me my space and didnt make me feel like I was being watched. However, they were quick to answer any questions I had and with some good humor. :) Very knowledgeable about their products and had recommendations ready for anything I threw at them. Considering a membership myself!
I went to the Bruery Store in October after receiving a nift coupon. I obviously enjoyed it because Ive been there at least 3 times since. I really enjoy their selection and interesting flavors. They have a huge sours section. The staff are very friendly and happy to provide suggestions. They have always complimented my selections, and while they may very well do it for everyone, it still makes me feel good. They make a lot of different flavors that you wont find elsewhere. Its definitely worth a trip. And with the holiday season around us, what better way to show appreciation for a family member or friend with a unique beer from the Bruery story.
Great spot to pickup orders from preservation, reserve and hoarders society membership online orders or as a member of the public shopping for great beer and merchandise. There is now a custom draft system for crowler fills (never seen anything like it). Still no drinking on premises but that may change in the future. The people working there are helpful and efficient so go check it out. Cheers!
Great finds and fast lines.
They have an eclectic selection of beers. Their stouts are extremely smooth and tasty. I was a little disappointed that we pre-ordered, but when we got there we were told they were sold out. I believe if you pre-order they should hold for you until you pick it up.
Very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful staff! Great for people who know a lot about beer, and for people who dont know anything at all but want to learn more about it. I fall into the latter category, and they helped me select a few things to try out based on my preferences. The area is pretty cool too. Worth a visit!
Yet to have a bad beer here. They have their own stuff plus frequent guest beers. Join the Preservation Society for even more goodies! Staff is helpful and generally awesome.
The best source for craft beer in the DMV. This is one only popup this brewery has and between their offerings and the guest beers they have a youre not going to be disappointed regardless of the style you like.
Great beer selection, super awesome sours and dark beers. And a lot of great finds from other breweries, like The Rare Barrel. Plenty of good beers on tap for growler and crowler fills. Staff is super knowledgeable and friendly.
Great selection of Bruery and guest beers. Parking can be tricky.
Great selection of hard to find beers. I know Im asking a lot, but I wish there was some sort of tasting room.
Cool little store. Wish they expanded their options beyond The Bruery, but the occasional guest can drops are appreciated. Great service, good prices. Glad its close to my house, even though I only stop through a few times a year
One of the top US breweries chose DC to have another location. This is amazing! Essential visit for a beer nerd. Every beer is solid, many are epic... all are at no markup from what you pay in CA.The store has dozens of awesome beers that put DC area breweries to shame (except for maybe Adroit). These aren’t your normal Bruery beers as many I had a hard time finding when I lived in CA. There are the normal distributed beers as well as barrel-aged beers that are highly coveted even on the West Coast. I’m in heaven.I almost took a star (or two) off because it doesn’t have any drafts! I can’t blame them for DC laws, but they need to figure this one out. They need drafts and food trucks!!!!If they had some of these beers on tap, the place would be constantly packed. I seriously doubt that the Bruery guys/gals understand how much better their beer is compared to what we have in DC.Cheers!
If you love big, bourbon barrel-aged stouts, then The Bruery is the best brewery in the world.
First came here thanks to a Nift certificate, and DEFINITELY looking forward to returning. The guys working there when I popped it were helpful, friendly, and non judgmental which is so important to me in a place like this that specializes in something specific.Their monthly dual IPA releases are very cool and I liked one of their hazy IPAs in particular. I picked up a Belgian quad in bourbon barrel and cant wait to try that one soon. All in all a great place to come for a solid beer choice that wont break the bank.
Awesome store with quality beers and helpful, friendly staff. Can’t believe I never knew about this place before. So glad to have this in DC!
Wonderfull beers (tasted mostly just fruit/farmhouse style). Their beers are balanced amazingly, tasty, dry as perfect from those Ive tasted, not too much acetic. A LOT of choices in store from this briery. Staff very friendly, advising, they know their products. Their more elaborated beers are pricy but worths every penny.
Found it! Folks were nice. Thought we could taste, but no go. Helpful, friendly. Thanks!
Interesting selection. Went for a Veil (Richmond, VA) release. Great staff, helpful. Line moves super quickly but parking in the area is just horrible.
Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful with finding products for my friends and I. I wish the hours were more convenient. This was the first time Ive walked by and it was open. Tasting options or flights would be great but thats not an option here. The selection here is definitely unique for DC. I havent ever seen these options anywhere in the DC area so its great for beer connoisseurs.
Amazing offerings and guest beers on occasion. They treat their club members very well but also warmly welcome first time customers. Check it out while at Union Market a block away.
This place is beer mecca. So many great beers and variety to choose from with a knowledgeable staff to answer any questions. Only thing that would make it better is if they offered tastings of the bottles they sell.
Awesome to have a place like this on the East Coast. They’ve also sold guest beers you can’t touch unless you’re in California. Awesome stuff. Only bad thing is you can’t taste! They don’t have the right permit and DC is acting like DC.
Great beer. Who am I kidding, probably the best beer Ive drank. The attire is small but well stocked with Bruery goodness. Parking is limited, but its in a great location.
Love this place! Friendly staff and incredible selection of the bruery and offshore beers. You can also buy growlers to go on there beers!
Still working out some of the kinks and working towards being able to provide almost everything from the West Coast location. But if you like great beer and awesome style, this is it!Offshoot has been on draft as well as providing the current can selection. A couple bruecicles have come through the draft as well as many more planned. Just had to make sure they would survive the trip across the US.
The beer is top notch and the staff is amazing, helpful, and full of knowledge! Very helpful.
Awesome selection, great staff, just a bit pricey or an easy 5.
Excellent selection, excellent beer, and extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. Will definitely be back!
Great beer selection. Parking is a pain even early in the day.
No tasting room here. Just a filling station and store. Shame too, their beer is pretty good.
Great way to being the flavors of Southern California home. Fantastic selection of large formats and cans. Worth a stop.
The entirety of their range is perfection. And soooooo many choices!!
Picked up a 12 Days Collection that Id ordered. Store has an unbelievable selection of their beers to buy! Only issue is parking in the area, which is really tricky due to construction. Thats nothing they have control over, but just be aware of it when you come down.
The workers there are the best. They do everything they can to help you.
If you are into craft beer you will like this place. The Bruery has some pretty decent brews but be aware that it could be an expensive hobby.
Kid in a candy store. For a small store, great selection. Parking is not so great.
What an awesome place! Bottles and bottles and all of them great! 10+ taps for growlers and crowlers, plus another 3 taps for members only. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the beer - generally $12-15 for a crowler and $24-$30 for a 64oz growler. Do be aware that they will not fill growlers with other brewery logos on them. Fantastic selection of sour beers, strong stouts, and farmhouse style ales along with lots of other interesting and off beat brews. This place only takes credit or debit cards for some reason. Staff are excellent, super friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about beer.
Best sandwich I hade in years
Great selection, great staff, great location.
Awesome selection of beer, plus their pop ups that feature the best in out of market beer cant be beat in DC.
Great beer. Knowledgeable, friendly staff. Love coming here.
Tiny place to pick up extremely good and usually very heavy craft beers.
Love the selection. The crowler list changes regularly and the folks are very friendly. Cards only; no cash!
Nice place. Easy parking. Good beer.
Fantastic selection of Bruery, Bruery Terreaux, and Offshoot beers. But this akin to saying the Polo store carried a lot of Polo clothes. I digress, they have hard to find beer, and their crowler selection is immense.
Friendly service, great selection.
Great little spot for a growler fill and a bottle pickup.
East coast outpost for the West coast Bruery. Cute shop with a really good selection of hard to find Bruery offerings. Most dont hit the retail stream. If you want even rarer offerings think about joining o e of their societies. You can pick up your allocation at the DC store.Since opening they have installed draft lines to fill growlers and crowlers. The draft selection is great but no onsite consumption is allowed.
So many sours and so little time 🍻 cant wait for the growler fills to be an option!
Eff Disney, this may be the happiest place on Earth.
Great beer store to get some unique beers you wont find elsewhere!
Excellent staff and the beer is top notch.
Itll get five stars once it adds a tap room!
Great staff, always a pleasure visiting.
Only Thing Missing is Being Able to Drink Beer On Site...
Expensive but some very cool brews.
Great selection of a California brewery locally
Cool place for beer geeks.
Friendly staff but limited selection, almost exclusively Bruery products.
Great options, friendly staff!
Wish I couldve gotten a drink here...
This place, If I had the funds and the storage Id buy everything they sell.
Some sticker shock but great beers.
Good beer and service.
Finally on the east coast!
Amazing!
Dope little spot
