Disclosure- I’m not an ice cream regular eater, but I did have it so here’s my take. Menu - honestly, I wanted a white chocolate flavor but I didn’t see that listed on the menu. I had the strawberry cheesecake (small cup) and it was tasty! Real cheesecake and fresh strawberries too. The staff was super patient with me reading the huge menu. My date got very berry sorbet that was fresh and tasty. I’ll be getting that next time. It’s a nice location for a quick cool treat to help with the summer heat. I would go back to this location again. I say try them out yourself.
A beautiful spot to have excellent ice cream. The manager, Aaron, is an absolute joy to interact with. I could stay and talk Ben & Jerrys ice cream with him for an hour - I appreciate him being willing to spend 20+ minutes with me before I even ordered. Incredibly kind service and delicious flavors - exactly what makes Ben & Jerrys the best!
Super friendly employees! The only thing I wished for was that they had Rocky Road so I got a simple 2 scoops of chocolate and vanilla in a cone instead, and it was delicious regardless. Wait time was quick; it’s a bit pricey though which I expected because it’s located in such a nice area. There’s also a nice photo op with cow statues that you can sit on at the storefront.
Be aware of the Ben & Jerry ice cream shop in Wharf district in DC. I went to this store and ordered a one scoop coconut flavor ice cream and they charged me $7.15 which is the price for 2 scoops. The employees in the Wharf District store are very unprofessional. I am glad I left no tip. Will definitely avoid this shop in the future!
Three non-dairy flavors! We have a family member who cant have dairy. This place is down on the wharf with plenty to do and see. The prices reflect the wharf location at $10 per ice cream.
Good ice cream, I wish they had more traditional flavors available on their menu.
So expensive, you should just buy it from the grocery stores because the flavours offered were generic (unlike the flavour variety in the stores)
Service was great. Great vegan options, just very expensive.
Worst service. We were a group of 9 people and were made to wait on the side as we saw 10 more customers taken care of first. Totally disappointing.
Very good ice cream. Worst attention from the employees, bad attitude and rude.
Great taste but the service could be better
Yay! Ice cream. Perfectly located on the wharf near the swings and the fire pit.
The line was short, still took forever to get thru because the staff was hanging out on their phone. got a large milkshake, was straight liquid. wouldnt recommend
My daughter was very happy)))
Ice cream is good
Really nice location and nice staff 🙂
Ben & Jerry’s is the biggest scam in the history of the ice cream business. Way over priced with mediocre flavors. I had to pay nearly $20 for two tiny scoops of ice cream for two kids!!! Check out a copy of my receipt here and judge for yourself. This is so infuriating and it made me feel I just bought two pounds of heroin, not two scoops of ice cream 🍦. Definitely a grand theft of your money 💰in broad daylight. I do not recommend this place at all! It would have cost me a fraction of the price at Baskin-Robbins with much better quality ice cream 🍨
This place is remotely located. One of the main attraction is the Ice cream flavor graveyard where they have placed all the discontinued flavours. There is a kids play area around as well. The tour of the factory was very brief so dont expect much from it.The owners must do something about the long queues to buy icecream since the wait is minimum 30 minutes at any given point in time.
Prices are not made clear on the menu. I was shocked at how $$$ just a simple ice cream cone was. Nothing fancy. Really felt scammed and won’t be going back to any Ben & Jerry’s regardless of location.
TOO STICKY
Ice cream is fine, the issue is the price gouging, 10+ for a dinky milkshake, 7+ dollars for a small scoop of ice cream? Highway robbery. Grab a five dollar milk shake at Shake Shack, five minute walk away, plus shake shack has indoor seating if you want it.
Mm 🤤
What has to be said? Its Ben and Jerrys!!!Its a very small location, which is to be expected given where it is in DC. Very clean.Staff are pretty friendly and professional.Prices are on the higher side given the small portions given. I love Ben and Jerrys but Id recommend local offerings (like Larrys Homemade at Dupont) before this place.
Tried to buy a cone. Ice cream was so soft that she couldnt get it to stay in the cone. Consistency similar to applesauce. After getting down to the cone, I Tried to remove paper, but it was stuck on so hard that it shattered the core, spraying melted ice cream everywhere.Literally the worst ice cream cone experience Ive had in over 50 years!
This place is crowded and overpriced. Plus, the person helping me wasn’t wearing gloves when getting my cone and ice cream. Very friendly staff, but wasn’t crazy about this experience. I would skip it and go somewhere else next time.
Always love Ben and Jerrys though this location has less flavours than the Georgetown one.
While I can’t argue with the quality or flavor of Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, over $32.00 for 2 cones and one cup of ice cream leaves a bad taste in my nouth. As another reviewer mentioned, it was really the only true ice cream spot (locally, that is), but you could walk around the corner to the CVS and but an entire pint of any of the B&J flavors for $7.00 each (which is still high, compared to supermarket prices. Yes, it’s scooped for you, and yes, the service was good and frriendly staff, but the price was a bit out of line, even for a touristy location like The Wharf.
This Ben & Jerrys is a nice location with great staff. It is located in a great area. There shakes and ice cream are amazing.
Love this place but there is no bathroom. The ice cream is great and staff is friendly.
I will NEVER spend a dime here ever again! After a long day I decided to treat my kids to ice cream cones. Well, as we finished eating I went inside throw away our trash. My kids were outside playing with the balloon arch when one of the employees rudely asked me to tell my kids to stop. He had a look of disgust on his face as if my 4 and 6 year old boys were defacing the freaking building! Theyre balloons! What do you expect from kids when you place a bunch of balloons in front of them! I was already tired from my day and would have normally cursed his scooping creamery @$$ out but I let it go so others could continue to enjoy their ice cream experience. I asked my boys to stop and we left. A $27 experience is down the drain because of someones freaking ego!
Complete and absolute ripoff. Ordered one basic cone of cookies and cream, they added extra scoops (which cost extra) without telling me, and charged me an extra $3 because my cone had extra cookie crumbs on it (they didnt offer any regular cones). My basic ice cream cone (with no toppings) came out to $14.30. Thats just disrespectful. Do not go here.
I walked passed it and it looks good
Great service and allowed us to sample a few before purchasing. A bit over priced but it is DC, so what do you expect. It was a week or so after opening and they were fully staffed so we got helped right away.
Absolute treat! Fantastic flavours and one of the best icecream shop at the wharf
I took my kids to Ben & Jerrys with first time. The food was good but the help find the counter was not. The young guy thought he was too busy to answer us a few questions for first time customers
Did a great job if handling Free Cone Day, very efficient.
Terrible customer service, cashier didnt even say hi or thank you. Zero sense of urgency and over priced for the complete lack of customer service ... I wont be back to this location
Great atmosphere read on the boardwalk What can you say its Ben & Jerrys
We stopped in here after bar hopping all night, suprisingly just 2 ice creams cost us as much as going to a bar for a hour or 2, it was good, but the price gave my headache a boost the next morning.
One small cup of ice cream for $10. The guy at the customer service is so rude & treats you as if they are fighting with you.
Worst customer service. Employees should learn to deal with customer. Too rude
Good ice-cream, but WAY TOO EXPENSIVE...
I love Ben and Jerrys. Good service and clean place.
Ok ice cream .. service was ehh not great.. about as friendly as a TSI scanner. And the servings are horribly small for the money you spend ... when they they it’s 2 scoops it’s like health freak moms ‘2 scoops’. Lol just go somewhere else where they will give something for your money
WAY overpriced. Agree with other reviewers. Pro tip is to go to CVS at the Wharf and buy a pint for cheaper than 1 scoop at this location.
Ice cream is always good. Look for the three cows in front.
Never disappointed
Customer Service was great portions were tiny!!!😃😁😃🤗
Great location, awesome ice cream, bad pricing, terrible terrible service, horrible customer service no people skills what so ever. Who is responsible of this place you guys are selling ice cream not drugs
A little bit expensive, but the dairy free option is sooo good!
Small portions, very expensive, and to top it off they give you the cheapest spoons ever!!!! Not a pleasurable experience at all!!
Good service
Super yummy Ice cream
Alot of different flavors
$7.50 for a cup of ice cream? Silly.
Great location!
My absolute favorite ice cream!
They charged me $5 for one scoop!
Good product, but really expensive.
Ice cream was awful, way overrated and overpriced too...
Average ice cream for a high price, but its the only show in town.
Ice cream was good, but the cone with sprinkles was stale.
Got one ice cream, paid $11.... Nothing else to say...
Its a good place
Buy the cup not the cone
Tasty!
33$ for 3 ice cream cones !!!
Love it
Its Ben and Jerrys!
A nice place to enjoy ice creams that are delicious
The best coffee
The ice cream is very tasty, but the cone is wilted.
