I purchased two suits several months ago and the suits did not fit. I was asked to take the suits to my tailor for alterations. After several rounds of alterations, the suits still did not fit, and I was out an extra $100 for alterations on each suit. My tailor concluded that the suit coats were just too small and would not fit. The pants were workable.In the end I was left with two suits that had coats that were too small and pants that were too big.I have called and emailed nearly 20 times to try to get this resolved with no response from the company. I do not like to leave bad reviews, especially in this economic climate, but for the cost of custom suits to have to spend more and still end up with a product that does not fit is not acceptable.If the owner reads this and would please reach out to me that would be great. I would very much like to get the issue resolved. I will change my review as soon as I get suit coats that fit.

This place is amazing. They custom made my aunts whole bridal parties suits and dresses. It was absolutely fantastic. Very intricate work and beautiful dresses. I felt so fabulous and beautiful. I would definitely come here for my own wedding dress and a flower girl dress for my daughter. I would recommend to anyone looking for a wonderful tailor.

I dont see why there are so many bad reviews...I was very well taken care of. I needed a suit for a wedding I was attending and I managed to forget my suit back in NY. They fit me in same day. Everything was done in under an hour. I was looking great in my suit that weekend. They were wonderful. I will definitely be heading back when Im around that area again.

Bought shirts and tried to pick them up for months but no one was ever working at the store. Tried several times to reach out by phone and email to no avail. Finally they email me back to tell me they’re being sued and can’t deliver my shirts, even though they’re already made and cost over $250. This place is a scam - don’t visit!UPDATE: I still havent received a call from your team to pick up the shirts. I have emailed. And, to respond to your point, I did have a time that I scheduled to pick up the shirts, but I had an emergency and couldnt make it. I have been by the store at least six times, but there hasnt been anyone there in several months.

This was a great experience for my boyfriend. We spend a week in DC and heard about this from a good friend. As a special treat, I decided to pop for a couple of bespoke shirts for my guy. They took his measurements and everything was easy and professional. The shirts were amazing-looking and fit so well I couldnt believe it. Even without the Groupon deal of 2 shirts for $99 I would do this again for my guy. He wears the shirts as much as he can and he looks damn good!

Under no circumstances should you buy a shirt here. The simple reason is they can’t measure to save their life. I ordered two shirts and when I went to try them on I could barely fit into either. They sent them back and made two new shirts. Went back to pick them up and they were marginally better but still way to tight. At this point my frustration was so high I said forget it. I won’t go back and suggest you never go.

Im a big guy and my shirts never seem to fit right so my wife thought it would be a nice surprise. I have to admit, I was pretty happy. When my wife and I walked into the showroom, the layout was really nice and the people that worked there were awesome. I was measured for my custom shirts and they created something called a body profile for me. Getting measured was a pretty easy process. Then I got to pick out which fabrics and style I wanted. They had such a wide selection of fabrics. I could tell my wife was a bit jealous that their service is for men only. I was told that my custom shirts would take about 4 weeks to arrive from the order date which was fine. I was able to choose between picking the shirts up at the showroom or getting them delivered at home. I chose to get them delivered which is more convenient for me. Once they arrived, I tried them on and I was amazed at the way they fit so well and the material felt so comfortable. The 2 best shirts I have ever owned without a doubt. I plan on going back for more shirts and even a custom made suit. Thanks to my wife for a great gift!

I suggest you avoid Book A Tailor. I purchased the LivingSocial special for a suit and two shirts. The suit material was not a decent match to the swatch Id selected and looked like a pimp suit. When it came to the shirts, the French cuffs were too tight at the wrist for wearing my watch; the cuffs also do not open on the seam - instead they open on the middle of the sleeve material which makes ironing a pain and looks weird once you notice it.

I want to give negative 1 star, not that this company would care. I bought a Groupon for 4 shirts in April. Finally had the chance to go in in mid-July. After two weeks, they had my shirts ready, but I was overseas, and didnt get a chance to try them on until early August. The cuffs were too small to fit over my watch (even though I told them during my initial measurement to the left cuff a little bigger for my watch), so they said theyd order new cuffs, and get them done in a couple of weeks. Fast forward two weeks, I hadnt received word from them. So, I called, and eventually got a hold of the new owner of the shop. He said he couldnt find my shirts. Eventually he did, said that he would get it fixed for me, and even give me a free shirt. I thought the situation was worked out on September 1. I heard nothing for 3 weeks. I finally called again last week, and was informed my shirts would be finished by Friday (9/23). It is 9/28, and Ive heard nothing. Suffice it to say, I dont even want their shirts anymore; Id rather get my money, and buy shirts from a retailer at this point. Ive never had such a pathetic customer service experience. It does not take 2 1/2 months to get 4 shirts made. Its inexcusable.

After many bad experiences with tailors I was nervous finding one in the city to tailor my designer jeans. I brought just a couple pairs to start off with just in case they got mangled, but I was pleasantly surprised. This place is legit. Talented tailors and talented seamstresses. The tailor took his time marking up the jeans, and made suggestions on length while not being pushy about it.I had 4 pairs of high end jeans taken up, and had the original hems sewn back on and the job is flawless, and I had them done in a week. I will definitely be bringing my jeans here in the future.

Im still waiting on the correct sized suit and shirts (15Dec2015)Third suit jacket still did not allow me to bring either hand to my face. I had to take the jacket off to drink coffee!Pants, the second pair was an ok fit.Shirts... they cannot create a truly custom design. I have had 8 shirts that have been- NOT what I ordered, wrong material, wrong size collar height (too small to hide a skinny tie), sleeves too short, sleeves not the same length, shoulders too narrow.... I wanted a colored shirt with white collar, white french cuffs, and a white placket. This has been too hard to makeTrying to find a manager to call, Kabba left and the office number was to his (personal) cell phone. He could have gotten a Google number and forwarded it to separate personal from professional, but that would have been too easy.

Utter incompetence. Over the past 4.5 months, my two shirts were produced, altered, lost, reproduced, altered, realtered by Book-a-Tailor. Unlike their seamstress or me, Book-a-Tailors salesman (how can I call him a tailor when he fails at the one necessary characteristic) Jorge cannot discern even obvious errors in fit: almost medieval-style poofy shoulders, a chest so tight the button pulls when you breathe, wrinkles in the stomach, and sleeves 1/2 short all look perfect to him. In contrast, other local tailors (JC Lofton and Enzo Custom) know how to tailor clothing, have altered three suits within several days, and produced a custom suit with minor alterations within two weeks. Any cost savings of Book-a-Tailor even using a Groupon has been lost several times over due to their utter incompetence and ultimately charging me for a failed product, which of course I refused to accept.

This really helped me.I moved to NYC to visit some places and enjoy my bday when i received this invitation for a business meeting. I haven´t taken any social outfit with me, i tried to buy a suit in a regular store but none of them really fit perfectly on me.As I am a regular buyer from grupon i always look into the news there and search for new sales, then i found the BookATailor. They were very attentive and listened to every detail i asked for.They delivered the suit on time and the price was quite fair. About $499 the suit, exactly the way i wanted, the color, the cut, the collar. It mainly saved my life. lol. As i had the perfect outfit to the meeting and didn´t lose that opportunity.
