One of the best store in Woodley park area Ace Hardware shop manager May she try to help as much she can all the customer She is very knowledgeable, and her teammate Jessica she is wonderful person also always Looking after all the customers, I visit Ace Hardware shop at least once in a week because it is very close to my work place.

This is a real small town neighborhood hardware store. Whenever I see a hardware store like this I cant resist going in and having a look around. I always make a purchase from these small hardware stores. They are so much better than the corporate do it yourself hardware stores!

This is a great local hardware store, that has just about everything a homeowner could need. Plants, screws, tools. They have helpful staff as well, one of them actually called me when my wife accidentally locked her keys in the car so I could come help.

Staff were friendly and helped me find what I was looking for once I walked in. Store is bigger than youd think and goes far back - still not the biggest store, but a pretty decent size and selection for being right in the city.

Lovely customer service. Not once, always! Since 2018 that I live in the area. All shifts, all workers. Great job!

So happy for the kids to have a sprinkle park for hot days and to have place to be a kid. As for the activity that takes place on the other side of the street - needs more replanning efforts. Clean park but negative activity. That activity shouldnt be near children at play.

Each time that Ive visit this store it has proven to be very useless as far as service is concern. This time on March 25, 2021 at or around 12pm there was only one person in the entire establishment to assist me and they were busy at the time. That will be my last visit.

Top quality service! Well stocked store with a friendly, and knowledgeable staff! Had a job in the area for the last couple months and Ace has been a go to for the the company I work for since its right around the corner. Pretty much we bought taps and dies, screws, drill bits, lag bolts, tape. Everytime we ran out of something or forget something we would go. Since our shop was an hour away.Be aware that parking is a pain, anywhere is DC really is. Since we were 5 or so minutes away, I would usually send 2 guys or have someone drive me so one person and drive and one can run into grab whats needed.

Small space but very well stocked. Parking is impossible though

This place is good but I still prefer the Adams Morgan location (could be due to familiarity). One staff person at the Woodley location was super helpful and gracious, but the staff who appeared to be the manager did not help me much at all. Hit or miss. The store had the product I needed. I was not able to find it on my own - Im thankful the staff person could help me find it.

I want to lift up the experience I had with May, the assistant manager of the store. She immediately greeted me and made me feel like what I came in for was the most important thing I’d ever needed. No project too small!She has the best energy of anyone I’ve ever met in retail, let alone a hardware store. I live across town, but I’ll consider making the trek just to have a fun experience buying my house goods. You rock, May! And you help your whole team have a great time. Ive been here many times and can say without a doubt that the folks working here are eager to help. Their attentiveness is well timed and appreciated. Also, theyve never been out of stock of the widgets, scrapers and bolts Ive gone in to get.

Well it’s Christmas time and we’re always looking for that special gift. I’m online, and find the perfect gift for my boyfriend.. It’s a Redskin toolbox. I called every Ace in the DMV, no one has it. Then I call the Woodley Park Ace Hardware branch. This lady, was awesome! The manager her name is Selena (hope I’m saying right) was awesome. Telephone customer service skills off the charts. Friendly, Kind, courteous A-1. She told me they didn’t have it in the store. By the way, it’s Tuesday but she assured me it would be there on Thursday. Selena my hats off to you may God bless you and Merry Christmas.

We are huge fans of the Woodley Park Ace. It’s incredibly convenient to have a neighborhood hardware store that you can walk to. Because they’re a small neighborhood store, they can’t carry everything, but the staff are extremely helpful, and happy to order anything they don’t carry in the store. They are very dog-friendly and always have treats, scratches on the chin and pets for my pup.

This really is the helpful hardware place. The staff greets you as you step in, asks if you need help, and means it--even if you are only purchasing a handful of nuts and bolts (which I have). They do not have all of the products and all of the services that the Ace Hardware in Cleveland Park does, but the staff is great and the store is within walking distance for me, which make them my favorite hardware store.

I bought a once-returned drill from the Ace Hardware in Woodley Park that was supposedly returned for being the wrong model in the box. It turns out it didnt work at all, but when I returned it, they refunded my purchase and gave me a new drill for free. The manager was a great help and took time out to get me set up with all I needed. If anyone needs any hardware, plants, or grilling equipment, I recommend you check them out.

Great local hardware store that employs people and either trains them or lets them gather some expertise. I went in looking for a small set of stainless steel washers (maybe $1 worth of parts) which would have taken an hour and endless searching and explanation for a HD robot. Took 10 seconds for someone to show me the wide selection, cost a dollar. Will go back for any other sundries I need. Support this type of business, when its gone youll miss it.

Staff is always helpful and friendly. Furthermore, theyre always playing some great tunes. Local owners doing a great job.

I used t love this place. Until I had some house keys duplicated. They were done wrong; so bad that they damaged the lock and I had to spend big bucks to have a locksmith come in and rekey the lock.
