The lady working was so kind and let me sample a lot of flavors! I ended up going with one scoop fig marscapone and another scoop of birthday cake. Loved the vibe of the store even, but you have to get lucky to snag the indoor seating (fits 2 people). They did bring out outdoor seating as well (two tables, two chairs for each table).

The dark chocolate was hella dark and delicious! I also had the honey/marscapone/fig and it was unique and amazingly good too!The staff was happy, helpful, and patient as we made the incredibly difficult choice between flavors.They also had these adorable mini-cones and frozen dog treats!!!

Samples galore! The staff really loves it when you try samples. They encourage it, and theyre super nice. Best gelato in the dmv area. They have a large number of flavors, traditional flavors as well as unique and original ones. Cant wait to go back! Need a few more trips there.

Great flavors and variety. The espresso was potent, which I loved! The chocolate was rich and creamy. The white chocolate raspberry was delicious too. We got the macaroons and the lemon was not fresh. Unlike the other two, it was very chewy and tough. For that reason, I rate this place a 4-star.

I. Can’t. Even. This was absolutely to DIE FOR! I ordered the sundae which consisted of two scoops and two toppings of your choice; I went for peanut butter and dark chocolate with graham cracker crumbles and chocolate syrup. I also grabbed a jumbo chocolate chunk cookie. The gelato was so creamy and the cookie was super soft. All in all, I’d definitely stop again next time I’m in town!

The staff was great, customer friendly, went over and beyond. The Gelato were smooth,fruity, refreshing, will definitely coming back soon.

The employee was beyond helpful considering I had never been there before and everything tasted great. My milkshake was so good it was gone before I could take a photo!

Three scoops in a large waffle cone for $7.50 is a decent price in D.C. and this place was clean and nice. The selection was not to my personal tastes, although I settled on dark chocolate, pistachio, and a fig blend, and I sat down inside to eat it. The table was a bit wonky, but otherwise I had a good time. Would have liked cotton candy and lavender flavors, but not to be. Would come back. The only gripe is parking: you cant park right outside and although there is a parking lot next door, I dont know if its free and/or if they validate. I didnt ask as I found parking on the street and walked as the weather was lovely. :)

The decor and lighting in here is quite lovely! There are a few outlets available too! I got the mascarpone mousse and a small gelato. Both were very delicious. I highly recommend the biscotti flavored gelato ♡

The kid that took the order was and new. He filled the ice so much that he didn’t have space for the hot fudge but it was fine. There were a few different options for hot fudge, which was cool. The mint chocolate chip ice cream was okay. Seems like there could be other spots in the area to check out, too.

I was nearby for visiting one of my friend and they suggest me to come to this store and try their ice cream. At first, I thought it would be some ordinary ice cream shop and nothing special but when I go inside the store, I was shocked the fact that they have so much flavor than other ice cream shop could offer. Since it was my first time visiting the store, I didnt know what to order. I asked the employee to help me to choose the flavor for me. I was stunned that the ice cream was so good. Its so different compare to other places. Now I know the reason why my friend wants me to come. I would definitely recommend others to come and try their ice cream. As for myself, I would definitely come back to this store just for their ice cream.

The galotto was excellent there were many flavors to choose from and the server was so refreshingly nice and friendly. I thought the prices for reasonable too. Im happy to pick a flavor and eat it but he was more than happy to offer other people as many samples as they wanted until they found their selection.

I would give it 6 stars if I could. I absolutely loved the staff. They were so nice and encouraging to try any samples you can think of. They helped you pick things that went well together and gave recommendations on what they like. They were extremely nice and gave you a lot of food for your money and everything was very good. Including all the samples I tried

Im just glad I dont live near here because I would be here every single day. And i could probably try something new each time, because they have an amazing selection and so many different customize-able things to choose from. Gelato is consistently amazing. Their flavors are innovative, surprising. Staff is great. Pastries are delicious. Italian hot chocolate is a must-try for chocolate lovers. Also the space itself is super cute with nice big windows to sit at.

Went to Dolci Gelati and was very excited to get the authentic Italian Gelato Parlor experience. Mainly the Gelato though!Unfortunately, my excitement for Gelato was stabbed right in the face when I saw that the employee that was serving me -and other customers, had a skin condition and was serving food. The skin condition caused the skin on her arms and hands to become cracked, slightly bloody and very peely. It was even more of an issue when I saw gloves were not being worn and her arms were left exposed (uncovered) around the food. That is not acceptable, at all. For obvious reasons. Will not be returning - Im sure that goes without saying.And no, I did not still eat my gelato. It went right in the trash.

This place is phenomenal!! The Gelato tastes great and they even have non-dairy/vegan options. The customer service and atmosphere is top notch. The owner had us laughing and made his customers feel very welcome. While there, I saw him move tables and chairs around for people, give a young child a free treat, and he was even dancing with some customers!

This place has amazing gelato (vegan salted Carmel) try it you won’t be disappointed if your into salted Carmel, and they have friendly helpful staff. My family and I rate them

This was my first time visiting D.C., and wow, what a staple this has become. Traditional and eccentric flavors with generous portions. Their staff was extremely helpful and polite and allowed me to try multiple samples. I went 3 separate times during my 4-day visit. I am definitely going each time I visit the D.C. area!

Amazing flavors. Tastes just like the actual gelato in Italy. Sicilian pistachio is a must try. You can ask to taste gelato before ordering. One wish - please refuse from plastic spoons. You can use little wooden sticks for ice cream.

Chaperoned a field trip here with my 8yo granddaughter. The owners and employees were wonderful. They explained and demonstrated the gelati making process and provided generous samples to our entire group. It was all soooooo delicious!

Honestly the best gelato Ive ever eaten, and Ive eaten gelato outside the Vatican in Rome. We sampled at least ten flavors and each was smooth and the flavor was spot on. Dolci Gelati makes our local gelato place look like McDonalds.

Whoa Nelly! Listen, this is the best gelato in the city in my opinion. Holy smoke! That biscoff gelato should come with a warning label. I went with a friend and we were in gelato nirvana. The guys who run the counter are super sweet and gracious. They let us sample all the flavors we were curious about. If you’re looking for a decadent treat in the city, these are your people!

Boy oh boy, what a nice nice break from all the Fro-Yo this city has to offer. Everything; cake pops, sherbet, gelato, and more, all looked so tempting. I had a few gelato samples and still wanted to try everything, luckily a small cup was two distinct flavors, methinks I chose well with salted caramel and chocolate. For the canine companion there are gelato flavors like peanut butter or sweet potato, and there is a water bowl for them inside which really makes this place worth 6 stars in my opinion. Summer dog walks ending with gelato? Im so in!

What. Just. Happened. Experienced Dolci for the first time this evening (11/8) 9:30 at night at their newly opened Old Town Location. Where am I???.. (OMG Im at Bretts house. - for any SNL lovers). anywhoo, let me just say wooow. I tried a few flavors before deciding on what I came there for, the Dark Chocolate gelato. A H M A Z I N G. I havent had a visceral reaction like this since I was in Italy in 2009 and had Lavender gelato at Gelateria Di Piazza in San Gimignano whose gelato was literally voted the best in the world a few years running. I cant wait to try Dolcis lavender gelato, then I will be able to come back and tell you for sure, but at the very least this will be super close to the best gelato Ive ever had. Hats off to you.
