Always love this store!Starting our first garden and looking into some new landscaping ideas so we went out to Star Nursery today.We got a variety of seeds for vegetables and herbs as well as a couple tomato plants as well as some gardening tools.The kids had a blast. It is their new favorite store with fishies and puddles they can jump in.The staff was very helpful and friendly!Loved their broad inventory and will definitely be going back for trees and ground cover 🙂

Gorgeous historic cotton mill houses the Sar Nursery. Upstairs has great potential for a museum. Downstairs are cash registers and plants. Plant selection was good. Staff was helpful.

I love going to Star Nursery. First time at this location, always loved the other locations so just as I thought it was great like the other. There was an employee in the outdoor area, I think her name was Avery, and I just was so impressed with how knowledgeable for her age she was. She was so helpful by giving me suggestions on what I was looking. Its always nice when I go somewhere that has great customer service and are so willing to help. I definitely will go back!

Ive been coming here for 7 years buying plants, catus and all the assorted supplements you need to have a great lawn, garden and vegetable patch! The staff is always cheerful, knowledgeable and helpful. Their prices are reasonable selection is great. Just remember when they put stuff on sale, it sells out quickly. They will also help you load your vehicle. If you buy a bunch of trees, they will also deliver them. I love the inside garden koi pond and all the cats that wander about. All they need are a few tables to sit at, maybe some cold beverages and you can just spend an afternoon there decompressing in the Zen like atmosphere, lol. I always leave there with a smile!

Beautiful plants and very well kept outdoor and indoor areas. Very reasonably priced! Very welcoming employees.

Best of the 3 that are here in St. George. I will return to this one.

Bought a bougainvilla that never bloomed after 2.5 months. Talk to a store manager that said there was only a 30 day warranty? Are you kidding? It takes longer than that to establish good root growth. After reading the other reviews, I learned that other customers have experienced the same dissapointing service. Second time Ive purchased this with the same results. Was hoping It wouldnt happen again. A 30 day return policy is ridiculous. No third time a charm for me. Thanks anyway.

I love Star Nursery. They usually have a good amount of plants you can get for your house or for outdoors.

I bought two expensive $250 trees and one died after three months. I was told I had a year guarantee and now I am told ONE MONTHFORGET YOU! STAR NURSERYI CAN SEE WHY YOU REVIEWS DONT LAST A YEAR BECAUSE YOUR TREES DONT EITHER

Very large selection and healthy plants. Nice people but they do seem understaffed every time I go in. The cashiers definitely are not the brightest but they are nice. The manager is nice and went above and beyond to find the cactus I was looking for at a location in Nevada, had them take pictures then forwarded them to me so I could actually pick the exact one I wanted, instead of just ordering one blind. Thanks Star Nursery!

I spend hundreds of dollars a year at Star Nursery.The Water Conservancy District gives a 30 coupon voucher to purchase a tree to plant in your yard. It lists specific trees and local nurseries who participate with the WCD. The businesses are compensated the $30.Yesterday, my husband and I found one of the trees at Star Nursery in Washington. The tree is regularly $49.88 and was on sale for $39.88. We got a tree, some Gold Dust and tree food.The cashier rang up the tree then saw the voucher. She said we had to pay full price and not the sale price. I asked how that was right, because theyre not out any money, and they put the trees on sale. She said basically that was their rule. She asked a man at the next register (apparently a manager) how much the regular price was for the tree.His response, I dont know, $59.99?I replied, No thats incorrect. Its $49.88. (We had been looking at them for the last 15 minutes.)We paid full price, got our items and left.A mile down the road my husband noticed she rang the tree up at $59.99. We turned around.We spoke with the manager and his shrugged response to the incorrect price was Sometimes the trees are $49.99 & sometimes theyre $59.99.So they just GUESSED. I told him that I told the cashier the correct price, but why didnt anyone do a price CHECK? (You know, their job!?) He refunded us $10.00 for the blatant overcharge.He wouldnt budge with the voucher. I told him it was unethical of them to get reimbursed for the voucher, have the tree on sale, but charge me full price. He said there was nothing he could do.The woman at the Water Conservancy District said that they always have this problem with Star Nursery, and shes talked to corporate many times. OBVIOUSLY IT IS STILL HAPPENING.I warned my neighbor, who also got a voucher. She talked to a different manager and told him it wasnt right what theyre doing. He told her to come back and hell make it right for her.Okay, so what about everyone else?Its not about the $10. Its about the principle. Star Nursery isnt out any money. They are reimbursed, so yeah its unethical and wrong and shady.

Found what we went for. Best place for everything for a beautful landscape and gardening. Close to home is a bonus.

Selection is excellent and good service. The general manager was quite helpful when picking out plants with specific needs. The cashiers seemed more interested in doing menial tasks than caring for customers. Otherwise the rating would have been outstanding.

I LOVE this place. Will be doing my spring shopping soon. Have purchased in previous years ALL my flowers, shrubs etc....here.... All of them!My dear dear neighbor died last week. I was going to send flowers to her funeral and in the middle of theNight I jumped up from bed and said...Hey, I know what Jeannine would love. ... not funeral flowers but all of her patio planters filled with Beautiful blossoming flowers from Star. She so loved her flowers; what could be better. Her adult children don’t know yet what they’re doing with her condo - probably keeping it but even if they sell, the surviving daughters will take the flower vases home and tend them with loving care. If they keep it, every time they come over, it will still look like ‘MOM’S HOME.” ❤️🌹❤️ You can’t do that with funeral flowers. I hope Jeannine is watching from Heaven.Opps ...I forgot....the staff at Stars has always been extremely kind and VERY PATIENT and courteous. Trust me, half of a business’s reputation lies in their employees. 😀

I bought 6 fruit trees from the last year and 3 of them died. The other 3 are doing great! So, I called to find out about replacing the 3 dead trees, only to be told their return policy is 30 days. 30 DAYS!!!! You cant tell if a tree is dead in 30 days! We have 2 acres to landscape and I will not buy another single plant or tree from Star! So disappointed and angry.

Be aware only a 30 day warranty on plants. Overpriced Desert Daisy dead as a doornail after two months, even after planting in the stores own potting soil. Not the first time plants have died right after warranty expires.

We’ve always had a great experience here. Just found out they are crazy helpful with Christmas trees! They have decent sales, trim it, bag it, and strap it down for you. They are always great and very helpful. Next Christmas we’ll be back!

They have your basic plants, but not a very good selection and expensive. Unfortunately, there is not much competition here in the St. George area of Utah. However, I found a wonderful nursery 20 minutes away in Hurricane called, Ballards Nursery and they have alot of different ground covers, when Star had next to none. The other stores that carry plants are Home Depot and Lowes. They also do not have a planting service. They carry big trees in boxes and only offer curbside delivery. Most nurseries other than Star have planting services and will bring your plants to the location where you will plant it. They are definitely not customer friendly. I wanted to buy a redbud tree in a large box for 195.00, but they made it impossible because it was too large to fit in my van and I would need it to be placed in the backyard after delivery since it is very heavy.

Lovely plants, good prices and good assistance but be careful if you pay for delivery. they do not take the care needed to preserve small plants with vegetation hanging over the side so dont include those in your delivery because you will be disappointed and unhappy! And they basically tell you if you call that they cannot preserve small plants with overhanging foliage. So too bad for you.

I drove to this nursery from Salt Lake City to buy an 8-foot Windmill Palm tree (not readily available in my home market). I called this location during the week to get an idea of their stock before I drove 300 miles down on the weekend. The gentleman on the phone was extremely helpful and voluntarily went out to the yard to personally measure each of the trees they had on hand. When I arrived at the location, the staff was very knowledgeable and offered tips to help overwinter the tree up north. Then they helped load the massive tree into the back of my truck and wrap it in burlap and twine for the 300 mile trip home. I could not be more pleased with the service I got at each step of this transaction.

We ordered some rocks to be delivered. We were told delivery would be late afternoon. I called around 5-5:30 and was told it was still our for delivery. It’s 8 pm and still no delivery. A phone call to let us know what was happening would have been appreciated. We waited all afternoon and evening. Hopefully the delivery will be first thing in the morning.

I love Star Nursery, however, today I asked for help with a drip irrigation system and they called someone to help me. Nobody showed up after waiting about a half hour. They were not busy. I will keep going back.

Bought a couple thousand dollars worth of plants and rock at Star Nursery a few months ago. Have 6 or 7 plants die. Went to return them and apparently they’ve changed their return policy. This wasn’t stated anywhere on our receipt, their website or anywhere at their store. You only have 30 days instead of how it used to be a year. Very unhappy with the customer service as well. We won’t be shopping here anymore.

If you can find someone to help you, theyre mostly knowledgeable. After two times being sold and planting something that turned out NOT to be something I asked for - I now go into Hurricane for nursery supplies.

Obvious that their selection is greater than Home Depot or Lowes but the prices are a little higher I noticed than some of the things I found at Home Depot such as seeds. Their variety of soil and manure is a lot better though.
