The place to go for spirits and anything youd need for cocktails. Every spirit I was looking for, they had it. The Guyana rum I havent been able to find anywhere else, they had it. The Spanish vermouth Ive been looking for, they had it. Huge selection of rums, whiskies, tequilas, and mezcals. Amaros, specialty liqueurs, syrups, and bitters - everything youd need to make any cocktail. They also have a pretty decent selection of wines and beer. The prices are surprisingly reasonable. Oh, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and treat you like youre an old friend.

Batch 13 owner was really weird and creepy towards me and I would not shop at this liquor store again. The long haired guy at the corner was really nice and helpful, but the two morbidly obese men were extremely creepy following me around the store and never taking their eyes off me. Stay away from the creepers at Batch 13.Look at the other reviews, as they all tell the same story over a long period of time--Batch 13 owners are totally creepy! Stay away!

This is a great liquor store, with an excellent selection of wine, beer, and liquor without being too overwhelming. Would be a great place to come if youre looking for something specific, but also great if youre looking for something new to try. Staff is friendly and helpful but not overbearing if you just want to browse.

I drove into DC today to spend a retirement gift card for Batch 13 that I received before the pandemic began. They could find no record of the card in their system but said they would research it while I had lunch nearby. Turns out their system had crashed the very day the card was purchased, so they said they would honor it! Where do you find that kind of customer service today? Thank you, Batch 13.

Great selection of Mezcal!

They have a great selection of Georgian wines and chacha, in addition to being a great liquor/wine store overall.

Compared prices with other wine stores in the neighborhood and this was much better. Staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to help.

Great selection of Georgian wine

Super friendly and helpful staff. They helped us pick liquor and beer for birthday party we were throwing. He also gave me a great recommendation on scotch. Asked me a bunch of questions about what I liked and then made a super solid recommendation. And it wasnt just an expensive bottle.

An excellent selection of all brown spirits.

They have a good selection of bourbons and rye - they have a lot. That being said, the couple of times I have gone here I have not found anything special. (Like any store picks and the like) Also I found that they mark up most things. Like $10 over MSRP for some easily found things and in one case $20 for a harder to get, but not that hard. (I am not talking about Pappy here, but a normal offering from a Richmond distillery.) So it is not bad if you are there to pick up something that you might not get everywhere, but you will pay more.

This is the best store in the district. George is the man, and he knows his whiskey. Go here for something new!

While most people would come here for their wine, the real reason to come is their selection of infused alcohols (upstairs), and imported beers. If you like Belgian Spurs, you’ll be able to find them here. I moved to DC a few weeks ago, and this is the only place I’ve seen that has Delirium Red in stock

The thing I like about the place most is their focus on niche and harder-to-find items; I can always come in and find something new and interesting to take home and try. The owners are all very friendly and helpful, with a deep knowledge of their products. This is my go-to DC liquor store!

Best spirits store in DC by far

This is a store with a phenomenal selection. However, I was made to feel extremely uncomfortable while there. I was asked if I needed help while in the store with three friends - all of us women of colour. I said that I was just looking while we were killing time before we headed to the airport and was going to go up to the second floor to see what they had. I have a collection of liquor from all over the world, and it’s over 100+ bottles strong, so I know what I’m doing. I also didn’t have to volunteer any explanation, since I’m free to walk around a retail space without giving my backstory.The clerk, a white dude who looked to be in 60’s silently trailed me up the stairs and watched every move that I made without saying a word. There was a 20-something white dude up there looking around by himself, and he didn’t warrant a secret service detail...I have almost never been a victim of racial profiling, at least not this overtly. It’s demeaning and humiliating, especially in a city as diverse, cool and welcoming as DC is.

A rude racket. They leave glass bottles on the floor so customers can conveniently break them when passing by the stairwell/register AND then not only do they make you pay for the broken bottle, the owner berates you when you suggest they shouldnt place product on the floor with high foot traffic.Done. Happy to take my business elsewhere but a shame a neighborhood business treats their customers like this.

If for nothing else, Batch 13 is a beautiful liquor shopping experience. Its in the heart of 14th Street NW with two levels of every kind of alcohol imagineable. They have gin, bourbon, whiskey, vodka, mixers, wine, beer, cider from all across the globe. Its amazing to just look at each beautifully designed bottle. They also prioritize local booze. The prices are a little steep, but what isnt in DC anymore?

Definitely the best place to get pretty much anything in DC. Very extensive inventory, but at a higher price. Staff could have been a bit more helpful, but nothing egregious.

Paid $30 for a 750ml bottle of Tanqueray...this might be the highest price in the United States. I paid it because I was in a rush but now Ill never return to the store for anything.

The largest selection of Georgian wines in DC. For fans of Mtsvane, Saperavi, Khvankhara, Tsinidali, Rkatsetili, etc. this is the place to stop. Plus, the owners are Georgian and usually in the store. They can answer all your questions about Georgian wine and provide recommendations to small batches or select bottles.
