What a great little spot. We’re here from out of town (Texas) and swung in here to get some lures to go salmon fishing. They were so incredibly kind and helpful! We didn’t know where to fish or what to use and they showed us what stuff is best for the fishing we were doing and where to go. I’m sure we will return to this place before we leave. I’m big into shopping local and this is a great little spot. Don’t pass them up.

These people know their stuff, and are willing to share their expertise. Picked up some new vibrax spinners, and some locally made lures, too. And, got some much-needed advice on the proper setup of different rigs for use at Sheep Creek Slough.

Best in the Biz, more knowledge in that store than Sportsmans, Cabelas, and Bass Pro combined when it come to local lakes and streams and what to use and how to fish them.

Mike and his team at 3 Rivers Fly and Tackle are awesome. They are honest, straight shooters that wont sell you what you dont need. If you want to know the exact right tackle to use in any water in Alaska they can help. They keep their finger on the pulse of whats happening and can show you the right gear to be using and the right places to be using it. There is no other tackle shop in Alaska with the wealth of local knowledge and understanding that these guys have. They have all the best lines of rods reels and tackle, as well as a huge assortment of fly fishing gear and flies. They also teach fly tying and rod building classes and have all the stuff to do it in stock. I highly recommend them to everyone and I buy all my fishing gear and tackle for my fishing guide service from them.

Bobs reel repair utilizes this store for drop off and pick up for his reel repairs. I had an Avet reel repaired at a reasonable price. Turn around was less than 48 hours during prime fishing season. He does great work, and fast service. The two gentlemen in 3 Rivers were very knowledgeable and informative about fly fishing, and informed me and my daughter that they do Rod Building classes in the fall through the winter. Will be taking my kid to build her own custom fishing rod there this fall.

Mike at 3 rivers is one of the nicest fly shop owners Ive ever met he knows so much about the rivers and lakes in south central alaska and can put anyone on the fish, George who also works at the shop can basically tie any fly that you can think of and can teach you how to tie it, 3 rivers is one of the best tackle shops in Alaska and it would be the first shop I would recommend to any one.
