I have been on hold for two hours to cancel an appointment because your website isnt letting me do it. This is the longest hold time I have experienced in my entire life. I could have driven the 40 miles to and from the pharmacy in this time frame.

Shop here if you choose, but avoid the pharmacy. When it first opened several years ago, it was a godsend to the small town of Wasilla. It was a 24 hour pharmacy at the time, and I never had any issues with the staff or the prescription.Since then, the quality and customer service has slipped dramatically. It is no longer 24 hours, which was a main selling point. Additionally, the current employees make it clear that they dont want to deal with you. I tried to get the prescription filled online, but the status kept changing from insurance issue to out of stock to pending over a matter of weeks. The website assures you the pharmacy will call you if there are any questions, but no one has called me. So I decided to reach out myself.Ive called multiple times just for the phone line to be busy. Finally when I get through, the pharmacy tech argues with me over a prescription Ive been having filled for 8 years. She told me they dont sell it...the prescription Ive picked up from there many times. When we finally got to the bottom of the issue, guess what the problem is? My doctor submitted the prescription as the chemical compound rather than the brand name. So apparently, THIS is throwing the whole situation into chaos. So if I ask you for tissues, are you not going to understand my request till I say the word Kleenex? Make it make sense.When I tried to speak to the pharmacist to get this resolved, I was transferred to a phone that rang for three minutes before it simply just hung up on me, then kicked me to a survey. You can bet I did not rate my experience as highly satisfying.Again, this pharmacy used to be my go-to. I cant fault them for being busy, or the long hold times. Thats just part of life, especially during a pandemic. But the attitude and the sudden confusion over a long term prescription, that is unacceptable. So go to the Fred Meyer or Walmart pharmacy instead. Its just not worth the stress to have to deal with argumentative staff who hang up on you.

If I could give no stars I would. Go else where. They wont answer the phone. Had my prescription all day and never filled it. Got there, had to wait 45min in line. Then told they hadnt filled it. Waited another 30min. Save your time. Dont come here.

This pharmacy doesnt understand the CDC recommendation for immunocompromised patients to receive an additional Covid vaccine dose. When pointed out that its screened for on the Walgreens website thats used to schedule the appointment, the reply was theres a lot of things that are wrong on the website. And when pointed out that I know other eligible people who have received a third dose at Walgreens, the reply was that they shouldnt have. Although they were pleasant enough, it was obvious this pharmacy is apparently out of touch with guidelines that have been out for almost 6 weeks now.

Like everyone else said avoid pharmacy. Called and asked if they did flu shots. They said they do but no walk ins(even though it says they do walk ins on computer) and to make an apt. I made an apt and showed up two hours later at my scheduled time and saw an entire line of people. I told them i was here for my apt and they said it didn’t matter if i had an apt and i had to wait in line ?? Also tried to pick up a prescription through drive thru and they said drive thru isn’t open. Called another pharmacy in town and they couldn’t believe what they said about the appointment

Dropped off Film to be developed 3+ weeks ago. They failed to notify me so I went in today to see if they were ready.Each one cost FIFTEEN+ DOLLARS EACH. The csr in the photo department did not mention how much it would be or how long it would take.Unbelievable.

Been trying to call since Monday. It keeps ringing busy, all day long….finally got through at exactly 9 am. Said there were 3 callers in front of me, then for the last 25 minutes of the call only one caller….then it got disconnected right after I took this screen shot! Sooo frustrating, I’ve been waiting on an out of stock prescription since Monday, that was supposed to be in within 3 days. I live out of town and can’t just go in. I was in town on Wednesday and stopped in, there were probably 15 people in line and my prescription still wasn’t in. I use Walgreens because I travel a lot, I will be switching to CVS.

Put on hold for 15 minutes then they went on break. Called back on hold for 25 minutes one call ahead of me then disconnected. Call back talk to somebody up front she just transferred me to back and after ten minutes they hang up again. This place stinks would not ever give them any of my business. .....!!!! They red to all get a job because they are not doing one at this moment of TIME

Just waited in line for 25 minutes in drive thru for a very rude lady to tell me they were going to lunch & to come back at 2!!!!! So over how rude & disrespectful everyone is here. I will be switching my prescriptions immediately.

What is going on with this pharmacy it is going down hill.I have been trying all morning to call it just keeps doing a busy signal for hrs there is to many good pharmacys in the valley to do bad business...

Walgreens has absolutely treated me and our family really well. The amount of time theyre helping us and thereafter ALWAYS one in a crowd that is just a jackass to the pharmacy techs and pharmacists.. Ive seen several people come n go, but the gr8 ones are holding on.. Thanks Ms Leslie, Mikayla, Ms Angela, oh and Heidi too..

Love the drive up pharmacy. Its amazing how much stuff they pack into these little places.

I take meds due to 1st responder ptsd. Ive filled here no less then 3 x. . having to drive 90 miles to get my scripts i did my due diligence and called both proscribing doctor and Walgreens . i was told by both parties my script was ready. Now im told no record of me r ny script. I have seen better customer service and quilty control from the street dealers selling meth and heroin. So save your money time and dignity cause those pushers hold themself to a much higher standerd.then walgreens.

Rude and unmotivated. Called to have Rx transferred. Lady I spoke to seemed inconvenienced and agitated. I followed up the following day and no one completed the transfer l, but the gentlemen was nice and professional. Awesome! Where do I find a job I can get paid and not give a ****? Is Walgreens pharmacy hiring?Fred Meyers has 4 stars folks!

Great selection of make up and good prices. Knowledgable customer service representatives. Quick nice service with pleasant staff.

I’ve talk to the staff at this location three times and I am in shock as to how rude they are. I am so glad my normal Walgreens staff treats their customers with respect and cares about their needs. Will never come here again.

Regular Walgreens, good costumer service, parking could be alittle hard to find

Everyone in the pharmacy was extremely rude this morning. I am a return customer dont appreciate the attitude. I told them they need to switch their phones over. I tried to call after open hours and the recording said they were closed. They actually wanted to argue with me about it. Then they told me they could only fill part of my prescription and I would have to get a new one for the rest which is not what they told me on the phone yesterday. On the phone they said it was no problem refilling the rest later but the guy at the counter said oh no I need a whole new prescription from my doctor. Wish they would all get on the same page and have a more pleasant demeanor. I will take my business elsewhere after this.

I really like using Walgreens becuase of how fast they are when picking up my prescriptions. I signed for there automated service as they shoot me a text to let me know when my prescription is ready for pick up. Takes away from having to call and try and get through the phone to only be put on hold for next available pharmacist. So I can take care of other errands in the area and pick up through the drive thru. Also they have decent customer service and never have issues with scripts.

This location compared to others in AK, is by far the best. Across the board the individuals that operate the Wasilla Walgreens are the most professional, helpful, and knowledgeable staff I have seen compared to other Walgreens, or big box stores for that matter. During these rough times where stores like Walgreens are ransacked, I observed the store manager handle multiple inquires/situations/complaints/requests/etc... all within the small moments of time I spend shopping there. I believe she, and her team are the example of how professionalism should be conveyed. 5 stars to the Wasilla Walgreens!

Incompetent pharmacist seems to be the theme here.

Pharmacist was extremely uncaring and rude. They send my husbands rx which he needs because he was in severe pain to a pharmacy in el paso TX and we live in Alaska. They refused to admit they even sent it even thought we were to pick it up and it was ready at their location. She refused to help except to give me the number all the while my husband was in pain. Will never go there again.

It’s always nice to go to the only pharmacy in town open past 9 (after an ER visit) only to be told that you can’t get your sick kid’s prescription filled because the pharmacy is in “store mode” and can’t process insurance claims.

A rude pharmacist didn’t want to take my prescription for prenatal pain management, saying that my insurances doesn’t cover it, and that I do not needed it.She didn’t call my insurances nor does she know my pain tolerance.My insurance does cover it*Walgreen Wasilla pharmacy is a joke.

I left Chugiak, AK and went to Walgreens in Wasilla and did my purchase. My bags were handed to me deficit my dog pads. I called so many times. I was put through time and again, actually 13 calls then waiting until the phone would finely go dead. No one answered the phone. I waited a couple hours total. Manager never answered. LOUSY customer service.1/28/2020I want to come back here to say that I went back to the store to get my product. According to three very nice employees there phone system ewas out. They really helped me and made it right. 👍🏼

Good service, good prices. Very convenient for 24/7 prescription and medicine. Centrally located. Easy to stop by with quick drive through service.

I am always impressed with the customer service at this particular Walgreens store.

They need to hire more people. Im positive the staff there does their best but Walgreens leaves them without the manpower to provide even remotely adequate service in the Pharmacy. I would never willingly give them my business again. Shame on Walgreens corporate for placing those employees in that position.

If I could give a 1/2 star I would, but that is not an option. I agree with some of the other reviews there is at least a 30 minute wait in the Drive-Thru, and even the wait in the inside of the store is a long time. They must improve in this area.

Was given a Potent Pain Killer by mistake. Staff read my script wrong. My insurance caught it however took 4 hours to clear the problem, with insurance, doctor and what has to be the worst wait times I have ever experienced. The only good thing was the sweetheart behind the counter who remained professional despite my obvious anger. GO SOME PLACE ELSE TO HAVE SCRIP FILLED or stand in line both inside and out. I was also on hold 24 minutes on the phone before I finally gave up.

Extremely, incredibly, mind numbingly slow pharmacy service. I recommend to my fullest ability that you take your pharmacy business elsewhere. You will get nothing but agitation, and missed prescriptions and hassle.

Horrible wait, the doctors office is waiting on hold to give them my prescription because the electronic transmission has failed twice, staff unhelpful. Go anywhere else if you can.Edit- Doctors office waited on hold for half of an hour, called me back and asked if wanted to go to Fred Meyer. They received my prescription before I crossed the street, and had my pills in the bottle in 20 minutes. Five stars.

Unprofessional, incompetent, slow( 4 hours for two pills ), not discrete, rude. I don’t need to talk to a pharmacist, the doctor prescribed it. The doctor told me how to take it. I take it the way the doctor says, not the pharmacist. I do NOT suggest them. Get your prescriptions filled at Fred Meyer‘s, you at least get fuel rewards.

Would give the photo department a 0 if it allowed me to. Both times I have tried to print pictures the staff have been rude and impatient. This recent visit I came in an hour after my pickup time and they still hasn’t printed my photos and I told him it was fine and I didn’t mind waiting but he got snappy with me and other customers.

The people at this Walgreens are so incompetent. Or maybe it has just gone down hill in the last 3 years. My dentist calls in a prescription for me due to an infection. And we come an hour later and they say they never got it ? Then sitting at the window for 10 minutes taking their time. We call the dentist and he calls them back. Well apparently they did receive a call . Now we have to wait another hour. Because they didnt feel the need to just do my prescription then even though it was their fault. So thanks for the extra 2 hours of tooth pain Walgreens . I appreciate it. This happened on 2/3/19 at 12 noon

Another hour and a half wait... this is the norm for this branch.But I guess I shouldnt complain, the last visit I sat in line for an hour, and then spent another 50 minutes waiting inside.After this I will take my business elsewhere.

The pharmacy is under new management. Things are running much smoother and personal care is being given. It used to be a mess but they have turned things around

Done with this place. I transferred to this pharmacy from a walgreens in Anchorage; the first time they gave me the wrong prescriptions, I was supposed to get a dial a dose pen and they gave me a vial. Now I come to get antibiotics, called ahead of time to make sure they had it and it could be filled, was told no problem. Show up to pick them up, nothing is ready.

I dont think they even deserve one star. The pharmacy is slow, nothing is ever one time. They are extremely rude and unhelpful. Would never recommend them. I am not sure how the staff managed to get a job working with people, let alone sick people who need compassion.

The worst Walgreens in the state by far. Every single time I have gone there to pick up my medications I have been waiting at least 30 minutes. Today it was an HOUR. The lady at the desk looked like she was busy but I saw other employees in there who could’ve taken care of other customers at the window inside the store. Also the lady was just plain rude and very slow. I have been going here for a year or two and she has been there so she’s not training. She should have her stuff together by now. Will be switching to Fred Meyers.

The slowest form of service available aside from walking to the drug manufacturer yourself in the lower 48. Perscriptions randomly placed in misc bins. Even on the floor. One person working front counter and drive thru. This place is like Walmart. All these registers but none of them being used. Would rate this place in the negatives if aloud. 1 star was too much!

Walgreens in Wasilla is the worst! It seems no matter what time you get here or which day, you are waiting at least 30 minutes. The staff are fine, but there doesnt seem to be enough. Only one drive up window. Im 3rd in line right now (started 6th). Been in line for 20 minutes. Time for Walgreens to figure out the needs of the Matanuska-Susitna valley.

Worst wait time!Why would you have a drivethrough pharmacy if you still have to wait an hour in the drive line and be told to come in sit down and wait another half hour? Obviously you need to fix something. Hire more ppl if you have to. It didnt happen once it happens everytime. And my friends and family same problem.You choose a drivethrough because you are sick or dont want to bring grumpy or sleepy or sick kids in. If I wanted to walk in I would have done shopping at freddys or walmart.

25 min hold times on the phone 45 min sitting at thw drive window and you can watch the people look right at you and than walk off or walk out the door. Worst place to go finding a diffrent place to go. Worst and rude costumer service.

I was getting a prescription a Wallgreens and the cost to my insurance company was being billed for $5,900. I checked around and found I could get the same drug at Costco for $600

Absolutely terrible and I never give reviews. Please take your request elsewhere. Was told ready in 2 hours, then 1 hour, then I asked if it would be that night and the guy laughed and said doubtful. I know these are humans and they are swamped... But come on.

Walgreens in Alaska does not compare with Walgreens in the lower-48 at all. Down there, they go the extra mile, up here, they could not care less about you as a patient. I normally use insulin by way of the Flexpen, which requires a needle cap that you put on each injection, but they were out of these and they said it was that time of month, but that begs the question, why not order more for that time of the month if you know you are going to be low. They also require a prescription for it, but Walnmart has these over the counter. They said they would have them in 2 days, but that was a lie to get me off their backs. They might actually have to get off their duffs to do something for someone. My ex told me that they were not the best pharmacy up here, and I guess she was right. I will start using Walmart for my diabetic regimen supplies.
