We had our vehicle fixed here. Took them 4 weeks to “fix” it.. we had to bring it back 3 times.. first time our driver door didn’t close, also the paint was sprayed in the door “inside” and there is bumps on the paint from dirt.. second time they replaced our rim with one that was dented and scuffed up. They replaced that. Door still didn’t close and they replaced our window with no tent to max the rest of the windows.. they seem frustrated and rude… this has been a mess.. We had a inspector come out look at the vehicle, he himself said all this needs to be fixed.. We have paid out of pocket deductible & rentals.. very sorry company all the way around . Never use them

There should be a zero stars option for situations like this. Where do I even begin with how horrible Gerber Collision & Glass in Watauga, TX is?All four of our cars were damaged in a massive hailstorm on 4/28/21 and we took them to Gerber as they were a preferred shop with our insurance company. All four cars were assessed by Gerber at 1pm on 4/29/21.PROS:- Gerber got us in quickly for the auto evaluations- They let us eat lunch in the waiting area while they looked over all of our carsCONS:- COMMUNICATION: They told us they would get the estimates to the insurance company within 72 hours and it actually took TWO WEEKS to get 3 of the 4 estimates (we are now three weeks out from the auto evaluation and we still dont have the estimate on the 4th vehicle) - I had to call them multiple times to ask what the status was of the estimates and every time they over-promised and never-delivered - The manager received an email from my insurance company and was told to reach out to us directly to communicate what was happening and he NEVER has done so.- ESTIMATES: Oh boy! You thought the communication was bad? Well the estimates completely sucked. They botched those so badly that the insurance company sent an adjuster to our house to look them over. Here are some specifics:Vehicle #1: Gerber estimated $1,315.93 and the insurance adjuster wrote for over $9,600 in damages and total lossVehicle #2: Gerber estimated $2,422.45 and the insurance adjuster wrote for over $8,700 in damages and a total lossVehicle #3: Gerber estimated...oh, I have no idea, because they have never even bothered to email this estimate to us or the insurance company...insurance adjuster wrote for over $7,500 in damages and repairsVehicle #4: Gerber estimated $6,796.32 in repairs and recommended for total loss; Insurance company is totaling this vehicleGerber has now been REMOVED from the insurance companys preferred provider list, because of how they handled our situation and that of other customers. (Ok, you could call this hearsay since I heard it from the total loss agent at the insurance company and not the preferred shop consultant directly.)There are too many collision and glass centers around town to bother wasting your time with this shop.

Great customer service. Everyone there seemed to be focused on taking care of the customers, which I can imagine is difficult, considering the amount of vehicles they tend to. They kept me informed every step of the way, which meant I never once had to call them wondering how thing were going. They couldn’t make it any easier.

Called for an appointment for a frame days ahead, appointment gets set. Send photos to validate vehicle is in appropriate condition (runs, drives-price of quarter panel cut off) to bring in, speak with frame tech and I’m told can’t perform the repair because vehicle has salvage title...Insisted I’ve only ask for a frame check not necessarily a repair estimate as yet...now I’m told frame machine is booked for next several days with current vehicle on it. Thanks I guess?Suppose politeness deserves a two star.Update (12/18/2020): Manager reached out and cleared up the miscommunication. Had a look at the vehicle with the opinion of an experienced tech and provided the best possible insight they could as thorough as they can. The task I need is non-supportable but they were able to suggest some actions I can take moving forward. With this level of follow up I’d consider them for future task that I need which they can support. 👌🏾

Our new Lexus was involved in a front end collision . This affected the exterior as well as the interiors proximity warning system as the sensors were destroyed along with Hood, bumper and various other parts . We contacted Planet Paint and they quickly dispatched a tow truck and provided us quick advice and a professional quote. They worked with my insurance company to make sure that I got OEM parts, I did not want aftermarket parts as they are known to have quality and fitment issues. The work was done right and delivered back to me on time. I would highly recommend Planet Paint to a friend or family member. The work was outstanding, my wife and I are very happy with the work as you cannot tell the car was ever in a wreck. I posted some pics so you can see for yourself. KW

If I could leave zero stars I would. They worked on my wear bumper and when I got it back the first time, the trunk wouldn’t close. So I waited two weeks for them to get the part to fix it, and when they finally fixed it again, the trunk STILL won’t close properly, it just pops back open after shutting it. How can youcontinue to blatantly lie to someone’s face like that? Do yourself a favor, and find another place to get your car worked on. 👎🏻

Over the last three years, our family has had some terrible luck with damage to our vehicles. Between hit and runs, sideswipes, being rear ended, chipped paint and dents, we’ve had it all. With that said, Planet Paint has gone above and beyond to take care of everything while constantly updating and assisting us each step of the way. We recommend Planet Paint to all of our friends and would vouch for them in a heartbeat. Finding a reliable and honest auto body shop is practically impossible nowadays and having the relief of knowing that Planet Paint has our back every step of the way has been an absolute blessing. They have earned loyal customers in us and if you give them a shot, I’m positive they’d win you over as well. They have worked on 5 separate vehicles and we’ve never once had a problem!Huge thank you to Tracy, Jack and the rest of their crew for the exceptional service. You’ve earned loyal customers from us when it comes to any of our car repair needs.- The Carroll Family

I had a busted rear bumper due to a hit and run on a gas station parking lot while I was inside the store. So, I took my car to 3 different shops for estimates and they all wanted to replace the bumper. They estimated the cost to be around $1,100 at the cheapest and $1,400 at the highest. I thought I was just going to have to cough up the money but tried my luck at PlanetPaint before doing so. Within a minute of seeing the bumper damage, Jack of PlanetPaint told me he could just heat the bumper up, make it look like it was, re-paint it, and have it look like new. I asked what it would cost me and he said about $300. I also asked if he could repaint one of the rear panels on my car that had paint peeling off and Jack said he would do both of those jobs for $375. I took my car there a couple of days later and they got the work done within 2 days. To my pleasant surprise, the final cost was even less than $375. I will be going back to Jack next time my cars need body work.

Do NOT take your vehicle here! After being rear ended, I decided to take my Jeep to Planet because they were open on Saturdays. Now, I understand getting parts can be time consuming. However, after 6 weeks of not hearing one single word from them, and not having a single one of my phone calls returned, I went into the shop to find out what was going on. The only excuse they could come up with for not being in contact with me was that the lady who usually does that has been out for the past 3 weeks. Which she was, but my Jeep had been there for 6 weeks! After airing my disapproval of the situation, they agreed to keep me informed from that point on. They didnt. Another 2 or three weeks went by without any word, or returned phone calls, again. Finally, they called me, on my honeymoon, to tell me that it was finished. This was a few days after it was, in fact, finished. They also told the insurance company that I said the insurance inspector would be stopping by to inspect my Jeep, which was why they waited so long to start working on it. Total BS! The insurance adjuster is the one who called them and set everything up. I never once mentioned anything about it. But since they made that claim, the insurance company tried to make me pay for 2 weeks of the rental out of pocket. After that was sorted out, and I was able to pick up my vehicle, they didnt even install the hitch! (The hitch was knocked into the gas tank which is why it needed to be replaced.) Also, the rear door wont open because the spare tire mount is on crooked. But since I already turned in my rental car, the insurance wont cover another one. Im now waiting to find out if Planet is going to cover the cost of one while they finish the work they started. ***It is also a fact that a physical inspection was done by the insurance company prior to my vehicle being dropped off.UPDATE: It has now been 2 and a half months since I picked up my Jeep, and still have had zero progress in getting the hitch and the correct spare tire mount. I called about a month ago and was told they would send me some options for the hitch. ...I am still waiting for the email. And, No, its not in my Spam folder. I have also found a bolt that was snapped off while the gas tank was being installed, and another bolt that was just never installed to begin with. Not to mention the fuel emissions problems that started the day I picked my vehicle up from Planet Collision. Its looking like legal action might be in the future.

I had accidentally backed up my 2013 Lexus RX350 into the parking garage door and dented and creased the lift gate. I was looking around for a body shop with honest pricing and good workmanship when one of my friends recommended Planet Paint Collision. I am so glad that I decided to give it a try. I found that the managers there are incredibly professional and went out of their way to make sure the customer is happy. Kudos to Rich and his team for an outstanding job. I am extremely satisfied with the outcome of repairs. They went over the process of fixing my car very thoroughly and kept me up to date on the progress of my car while it was under their care. They directly dealt with my insurance company, Allstate, ensuring that the supplemental requests were approved without any delay. They also arranged for a rental car of my choice from Enterprise located very close to the shop. I am immensely pleased with the entire experience.I have to admit that they also have the best customer service I have had at any business in a long time. I use an inexpensive plastic liner over carpet in the trunk to keep the cargo area clean. Since I was in a hurry while picking up the car, did not notice that they had forgotten to put the liner back on after cleaning the carpets and mats. The car was sparkling clean, the repairs were terrific which made the car look like new, so I just drove off happy. Later on during the day, I got a call from their manager informing me that the liner was with them and offered to deliver it to my home 45 miles away. As promised, it was delivered to my home the same evening. This amazing gesture just blew me away. I am extremely grateful that I was dealing with a group of people that went beyond business only.I have received many compliments on the job Planet Paint has done to my car and I would highly recommend the shop to anyone looking for a honest body shop that does high quality work.

So for starters, the customer service is lacking by some people there. Basically, everyone but Tracy.Jenn has absolutely no people skills and should not be allowed to interact with anyone. When I called about my car, she interrupted me, spoke over me, and then hung up on me. I then called back in which, she hung up on me again and did not allow me to say anything. All I had called for was to see if they had finally received the part that was missing on my car after over a month.Jack(?) the owner just had excuses for the whole situation and spoke down to me as if I didnt know what was going on.So heres what happened.... I called to have them work on my car and they picked it up from another body shop on June 7th. I was told that the car wouldnt take to long and I would be ready in a few days so I was looking at Wednesday of the following week which was the 14th. It was not ready and was then told it would be the next day. So I called the next day and then was told it would be Friday. Again, I called back Friday, and Jenn reassured me it would be ready on Saturday. I called and once again, I was told that the were still missing a part and that it wasnt finished even being painted. This then carried over to the following week and I was then able to pick up my car on June 20 at 5 pm. I arrived a little after 5 pm and it still wasnt ready. He hadnt put the door on. I was also informed that they still hadnt received a part and they would call me to put it on. When I finally got my car, it was missing a sticker (which was minor) and there was some over spray on part of the door. They said they would take car of it when I come back. A few days later I came back when they said they received the part. Come to find out it was for the wrong side of the car and they didnt check it until I got there (which is an hour drive). The owner apologized for it taking so long and things such as that and said they had to let the guy go that worked on my car. Again, I went away with out the part and was told they would order it again. So July 1st, when I came home, I opened my door to here this loud noise coming from my door. I looked and upon inspection, found that the fender was missing 2 bolts. I had to wait all through the weekend because it was a holiday and on Wednesday the 5th, I called as I went back to the shop. I was trying to tell Jenn what was wrong with the car when she interrupted me and hung up on me. When I got there, they put bolts into the fender and also said thats why they fired the last guy. (If you knew he was a problem, why didnt you check his work?) After 5 weeks, I finally got a call that the correct part was in. Even while I was sitting in the office waiting for them to put the part on, I could hear them making excuses to another customer about their car not being ready and saying that they had to fire the painter. The point is... Do not take your car here if you need it back soon. It may take a while and they will give you a hundred excuses as to why. In addition, thoroughly check the car, even the things you cant see, because there might have been some shortcuts taken and you may find yourself missing bolts. Finally, dont deal with anyone but Tracy. She was very nice in light of all the bad stuff going on at this shop.

Good morning,I sent a complaint email, and called without response. I had a 2013 Chevy Sonic done for my wifes car over the last few weeks. First off my initial complaint is the customer service. I dropped the car off 6/23. I was told the car should be done 6/29 on Wednesday. I waited patiently and called on Wednesday the 29th. I was told the bumper cover that came in on Monday the 27th was damaged and not usable. My problem is why was I not contacted letting me know there was a delay? Then I was told the car would be ready guaranteed by Saturday July 2nd. I contacted the shop myself once again without a courtesy call, and was told the second bumper that came in Thursday the 30th was damaged and that you wouldnt have one until July 5th. Once again I had plans orchestrated to come pick up the car, and its not done without notice. I was told again that Saturday the car would be done no later than Wednesday the 6th. I gave you benefit of the doubt that I would get a call Wednesday and i did not. I called late Thursday the 7th, and was told the car would be done by 6pm. Once again I had to initiate the call. While on the way I was called that the bumper was scratched during buffing that it would be ready by 7 which was fine. The whole time I kept telling myself and my wife Im not too worried about the awful customer service as long as the work is done right, and great. I get home Thursday night, and realize the third brake light is staying lit up, and not going off with the rest of the car. I realized the automatic trunk popper was not working so then thought I bet they got the wires switched. So I took the time to remove the trunk deck lid insulation and fix the wiring the correct way, and that issue was fixed. I then noticed today Saturday morning that the bumper cover did not line up on the passenger side. Here we go again. I got under the car and looked at it its missing a bolt through one of the tabs to keep it inline. I figure let me look at the other side and make sure a bolt goes there and not a body panel clip, and sure enough the other side has a bolt there. So then I notice the DRIVER side also is missing a bolt through the bumper cover in another spot. So here I am thinking I had the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life, and now I have had the most half ass repair I have ever seen in my life. So whats got to give is this how you run your shop, and your employees? Half a** repairs, and lack of customer service?
