With books going digital, its a delight to browse the stacks of hard cover books at HPB, some of them hard to find, even online. When you find one that interests you, buy it, take it home and read it, then bring it back and the will buy it back for someone else to buy. Recycling at its best!There is also a great selection of vinyl records and DVDs.The staff is awesome. Looking for something specific? If they dont have it, they will search the inventory of their other stores and have it transferred.

Took 2 grandsons to get books. They always have a great time there. So many Choices. A nice stop on a hot afternoon.

Wow! The selection here was way better than the one I have seen for the last couple years at the 2 stores closer to my house. Unfortunately that meant I spent way more money than I should have, so I should take a star away for that lol.

Halfprice Books was able to find and rapid ship a rare book to a friend who was in the hospital. Means more than yall know. They went well above and beyond.

Some of the new employees are rude. The store manager can be rude somtimes too. Scott and Sarah are pretty cool though.

Planned to look for piano books for my son who is actively teaching himself and they would not allow us to shop sans mask. They require mask and do not allow medical exemptions. I was told they could shop over the phone for us, which defeats the purpose of being able to look inside the books as we wished. We will take our business elsewhere that does not discriminate. Half the stores near them seem to be closing and with them continuing to enforce mask with no state mandate or city mandate I’m sure they will be closing their doors soon.

Great book finds & book clearance items for all ages, wish they would add seating senior citizens need to sit down

Books!! This store has really a good collection of books. Its not going to have everything you want possibly, but you can look it all up in advance online which is great. They beat other online retailer prices which is awesome.

A well-organized shopping experience. I have been to other HPB where books where it was difficult to find what I was looking for, but this one provides for great book shopping!

This is the most over priced Half Price Books location in the metroplex for records and laserdiscs. I was in tonight and found a Randy Travis album they had priced at $45.00! Discogs has this same album priced $2.50-$12.99...All of their laserdiscs are priced $9.99 and up. Their pricing is way off base here.

As soon as my son and I walked in an old creepy man kept staring at us,like we were going to rob them. I almost confronted him but I just purchased my Thrasher mag and skidizzled.

In store pickup for an online order was easy. All Leigh Bardugo books were sold out and the clerk said it could only be ordered from out of state. Ill probably get Ruin and Rising somewhere else.

Clean. Neat. Well organized.Some prices not too bad but several prices were too high, especially for used religious books. Their shelf prices are higher than online prices even with shipping.

Great store to find budget books, cds, movies and more. Sometimes it is based on timing, but you can find some great things.

Great place to buy books, music and videos. Absolutely terrible place to sell your books, music and videos. They offer you very low pennies to the dollar for your stuff no matter the condition or original prices. I was totally blown away at their offers. You do a lot better at pawn shops and doing a garage sale. Wont try that ever again.

Great staff & selection. The vinyl was a bit smaller than hoped, but I understand thats its not their primary focus. I still found a few pieces from Record Store Day in years past - not common to stumble across!Big recommendation & high marks all around!

They always seem to have the books Im looking for. Never missed on movies. Found Lonesome Dove for a great price.

The place is completely gutted out. Their selection has basically then drained probably because of the covid stuff. Many of the shelves are empty, and it looks like the categories are limited as well.I dont really enjoy going in there anymore.It used to be a great bookshop not anymoreIts doubtful theyll stay open if they continue down this track.

My EMS partner and I came in (in uniform) at 7:45 to take a quick look, and the rude guy at the counter was trying to rush us out 5 minutes before they closed, and again about a minute before they closed. The other employees were very polite and pleasant, but even they seemed uncomfortable around his unprofessional demeanor. I won’t come back here again

Great customer service, always, but DONE WITH THE MASKS, FOLKS! I want to pass out hard data to all retail that masking doesnt work. Just stay home if youre sick!

Great place! Love it! Got two books!

Went in to shop, and someone came in without the mask. My cashier instead of finishing my transaction he was working on stopped to go and yell at another customer that came in to put on a mask and argued with him about it. Stop harrassing people about masks when the governor said its no longer needed and focus on the damn PAYING customer in front of you and finish ringing them up!

I wish I could leave ZERO stars for a rating. The manager here was UNBELIEVABLY rude & disrespectful to me while I was shopping with my children. Ive never been treated so poorly while shopping EVER. As a public school teacher, I have frequented ALL Half Price Bookstores and this treatment is a first. I will NEVER return & I will be ABSOLUTELY sure to pass my experience on to everyone I know & work with.

I will NEVER try to sell to HPB books again. I was offered $1.50 for 40 Elvis CD’s and 20 Elvis books. I understand needing to resell but HPB wants it for free and will not give a fair offer. I do believe this practice may be the downfall to HPB.

I didnt even know the store exist, I was riding around with the elderly woman I take care of and she want to know where said I wish I had the biography of Janice Jones? Anyway I get on my Google and find the nearest Half Price bookstore call them oh, this is why we were driving and ask them if they had a copy of that I said they could get it sent from Oklahoma it would be there in 7 to 10 days I paid with my debit card while I was driving the biography book was only $7 and it is a beautiful book and it was a done deal before we even got back to the house and the people there are so courteous and nice and efficient I will use them from now on when I order books for my two sons that are incarcerated Awesome Adventure!

It get 2 stars for good location, but is not a half price store. I paid $8.95 for a use book and when I went to remove the store sticker the original price was $8.95, so I look the book online and everybody else have it for $7.99 and brand new, this is a rip off don’t recommend it.

Records are way too pricey. 14.99 for an album in ok condition? Out of touch they are

THIS STORE DISCRIMINATES AGAINST PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES. Today I went into this location and a female worker approached me and stated I could not be in the store because their company policy states you must wear a cloth covering. It is not posted and their sign simply states your nose must be covered. I was wearing a full face shield, as I have severe claustrophobia and anxiety and cannot wear a traditional mask. I explained this to her and she proceed to tell me I can do curbside but cannot be in the store with a face shield. This policy is not posted anywhere in the store or on their website, in fact what type of covering is not stated. When I called their customer service to file a complaint, the agent stated it was a new policy that became effective this morning. Our state order stipulates that people with disabilities both mental and physical are not required to wear anything at all. I wear the shield as a courtesy to others. The whole point of shopping is to be in person and I prefer to shop this way with my face shield which is just as good and even better than a face mask. After I told her I would purchase my two items and not return until the policy has changed very politely and she threatened to call the police. I went to find my husband as she followed me around the store and then a male manager approached me as well. Im completely ok with abiding by company policies even if they are ridiculous and new but in this situation they were being BULLIES. I spend literally hundreds of dollars a year here and I will now never shop here again. I plan to contact a corporate attorney and report this situation to every state leader and representatives I can. A company that is avid about being anti discrimination against gender, sexual orientation and race but has policies against disabilities is enabling double standards!

Half Price Books is always a go to for not only books but records, CDs, games, DVDs, magazines. Always something new (or old) to discover. Staff is very helpful. Also, got some books you no longer need or want? Take them in & get an offer. Depending on books may not be much, but worth it to make room for more.

They were pretty rude last time I came and sold books. They let people cut infront and left me to wait while people who came after me they took care of first. They were short and not helpful at all

Its like an indoor book swap meet. Organized and laveled. Lots and lots of books. Dvds, records, cds. Gifts for the book lover. Worth a walk around if you need a book for the kids or adults. Pretty good sized child book section.

Cannot count on them being open. Getting to the point that it isnt worth the drive to find out. They are killing their own industry.

I absolutely LOVE this store. They have a huge selection of used books and quite a few new ones as well. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. You can call and ask about a book and if theyve got it, theyll find it and hold it for you. In the back of the store youll find clearance books and movies and deeply discounted new stuff as well. They do buy some used books but dont pay very well, youre better off selling anything worthwhile yourself and donating the rest.

Dont come here expecting the store to follow state law, but their own discrimination against people who fall into categories which exempt them from wearing the mask.Theyre also not particularly intelligent as I just wanted to clarify with the gentleman before leaving that they follow their co. policy over the governors mandate which provides exemptions and he proceeded to drone on with co policy drivel and how I can be served outside on the curb. Gives a whole new meaning to being kicked to the curb!Their rules, fair enough. Im not going to act like a Karen as Im more than happy to take my money where (& I spend quite a good deal on books every haul) shops respect others. I simply walked out and he kept talking to himself, maybe the mask really does harm the brain😅So for those with respiratory issues/ PTSD from accidents dont shop here as they refuse exceptions. I can only assume theyd kick the autistic kids out too😏

Lots of neat board games. Great prices on music and movies. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Also, if you are going to sell a lot of books go inside and get a cart first.

Why haven’t I been to this location before?? This location is so cleaned and organized. I love the children’s section - very good selection. We purchased a lot of books today for our baby on the way and can’t wait to read them to her! Will definitely be back. It was very quiet and employees were very nice.

I have been coming here for years and I havent, yet, found any real flaw. The store is well organized and everything had a place. The prices are phenomenally reasonable compared to the regular price of the books, hence the name. They sell; board games, video games, little toys, records, cds, movies, comics, and of course books and they have a lot of each. They do have a bathroom and it is taken care of, they also have little tables and chairs spaced out for use. All in all? This is a good place to go and Id completely recommend to any bibliophile or anyone interested in any of the things on the list above.

They seem to have everything there when it comes to books. Only a few occasions when they dont have a certain book. Staff are always friendly and very knowledgeable!
