Really good selection. Friendly staff, and very reasonable prices. Everything has exceeded my expectations. Standard choices and more exotic items as well (quail sausage, elk, ect..). They even have milk and cheeses which are also great. Ill be making a point to shop here for as many items as I can.

Im going to start this review off by saying, do not listen to the singular one star review. The meats here are absolutely phenomenal, from their prime ribeye steaks, to the wagyu picanah, and the wagyu brisket, I cannot express on how satisfied Ive been with the selection my good friend Angel has in his shop. I purchased prime beef ribs (3 ribs to be precise) a wagyu brisket, and a pork butt for memorial day weekend/my dads birthday, and after all was said and done, the beef ribs were gone, there was only 1 lb left of a 14 lb brisket, and while I didnt cook the pork shoulder long enough, it was still pretty good. If youre wanting high quality meat, with reasonable prices, then Prolific Butcher Shop is the place to be. Oh and the grass fed cows milk, and locally made preserves/jellies are worth a purchase as well.

This is a cool little spot!! Like the old time butcher shop!! Great meat awesome prices. But my fave is the staff here. We came in not knowing what we were looking for and Jose made the time to talk to us and educate about the different cuts. If you want truly fresh cut steaks. This is for you!!!! Had the pleasure of working with them and they are very pleasant people.They sent me home with a couple of their best sellers, I got home and cooked up a fajita pieces and a Select NY strip and let me tell you that I have never had better tasting meat .Will definitely be coming back and would recommend anyone to get your fresh meat cuts here! I’ve shopped here twice, and had a fantastic experience both times. I bought a ribeye steak thw first time, and it was delicious. The second time I bought their beef and chicken marinated fajita meat. It was excellent. They use quality beef, and it’s very tender. They do an excellent job with seasoning, as well. I strongly recommend this butcher shop, and I will be shopping there again.

Prolific indeed! Got 10lbs of grass fed choice brisket for the same price as the grocery store. Huge selection of high quality meats and they keep the place sparkling clean.

I was looking for a butcher shop to make a recipe my grandmother used to make with raw meat, this is the place to go for fresh, clean meat, the guy there which I think is the owner was really helpful and friendly, I highly recommend it.

Great butcher shop! Friendly, and respectful people and let me taste test some of their secret rub they were working on. I bought some prime rib and dry aged it for 30 days. The results were amazing and hands down the best steak I’ve had that wasn’t Wagyu. Also, their choice brisket is 10 folds better than grocery’s prime grade for a 1/4 of the price.

This is a great Butcher shop with very friendly people. They offer high grade briskets that are already trimmed down far better than what is offered at grocery stores. I would highly recommend and will be coming back.

This butcher shop honestly couldnt get better! If they do it would just make life more interesting! The meat is so fresh and tender you can eat it without a thought. The ground meat is wonderfully tasty. The flavors only need a little salt and pepper. The roasts cook beautifully and they need minimal assistance. As for the fajitas!! They melt in your mouth and dont even get me started on the Tomahawk steaks. Writing this review makes my mouth water and those are just the small perks. The entire staff are amazing and can help you decide on what you actually want to eat and the prices are perfect for all budgets! You dont just want to buy meat here, you NEED to buy meat here! So go down to Prolific and talk to them you will be as surprised as we were with the quality of meat as well as the prices. Go!!

Great butcher shop, more prepackaged meat than in case though. We ordered some burgers and jalapeño poppers for a bbq. They were fantastic! We purchased some steak and chicken too. Everything was great.

Fantastic friendly service, everyone was so helpful and knowledgeable. They carry beef (Prime and Choice), as well as elk, and bison. Pork chicken is also availyalong with some sausage. They will hand cut the meat exactly the way you need it and the prices are really good for a butcher. Great find in Watauga.

Wagyu fajitas were amazing and the jalapeño & cheese sausage is the best we have bought outside of Slovaceks in West. We also bought bacon wrapped filets, which delivered in tenderness and flavor. 5 stars.

I called ahead and asked for (3) Brisket points and (1) the largest brisket flat they have. They gave me 4 briskets just cut in half. A brisket isnt equally divided with flat and point. The point is a very small portion of an entire brisket, thats why Burnt ends are so sought after!

Ive been waiting for a butcher near me for a long long time. That being said this shop is exactly what I feel the experience of going to a butcher should be. Everything was immaculately clean. Everything precut was vacuum sealed which was a huge plus. As soon as I walked in I was greeted very warmly by Angel and told about his specials and made comfortable to ask questions and make requests. Listening to him help these two elderly customers with their order while I shopped made it clear to me that this man enjoys helping others and brightening their day. I will continue to shop here from now on for any meat I need. Hooked in one go. Please stay open. I can see this becoming something great.

My first time shopping here and loved the service. The folks behind the counter were really attentive and outstanding. We just tried the sirloin we purchased and it was fantastic I am so happy to have a quality butcher in town and will tell all my friends.

Everyone in here is super nice and friendly. One of the best steaks I’ve ever had! We will be back.Edit… So we’ve continued to return. If you could OD on garlic stuffed olives, I’d have done it already. Whoever makes those is amazing. Every time I go (except today) I also get them to cut me a prime ribeye. It smells and tastes of deliciousness. The hanger steak is the best cut of meat I’ve ever had. Don’t you guys go buying it all up now. They were kind of sparse today. Once again the staff is extremely friendly and informative. I’m grateful to have them so close.

Angel is young and still learning some of the finer points. But, he KNOWS meat. Dont waste money at chain stores if you want steak. Give a local butcher like Angel a chance. You wont regret it.

Wow. This place is awesome. Don’t miss the candied jalapeños before you leave and the Cajun chips. The steak is ridiculous. They have all 4 cuts and we went after the choice rib eyes and it was fantastic. So we came back and got the wagyu steaks for mother day. It’s premium and I got the pitch about the massaging of the cow before slaughter. Frankly I thought it bs. But after eating it, I’m sold. There is definitely a difference. Get the rub his grand father in Mexico uses. Your welcome. The only problem I have with this place is how skinny and young these guys are. They should be over 50 and pot bellied to be this knowledgeable on meat! I was really impressed.

My family and i absolutely love this place we always go here for or hamburger meat. we made meatloaf with it. it always a great place. and angel and the employes ar great they can help you with almost everything. Definitely check this place out. I noticed it opened up recently down the road from me. We picked up a real nice looking brisket and turkey and saw a lot of other stuff I want to try. Great staff and everything was very clean.

The choice strips I picked up had more marbling than some prime rib eyes Ive paid for at full grocers.Then the brisket. I may have slept in after putting a brisket on at 6am and let my smoker get to 400 for a few hours. I expected the worst, but it had enough fattiness to survive my mistakes and turn out delicious.All that for legitimately competitive prices, Im buying all my meat here from now on.

This shop is great. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Of course, you can request your own cut. They also have everything from turkey, chicken, sausage, and short ribs. They even have fajita, taco meat and chorizo. Everything is absolutely fresh and vacuum sealed. I WILL be back.

The meat i purchased, even though it was a bit over cooked by us, was better than the grocery butcher. And, the service, man, the service was great. Youve a pretty cool shop. Wow. Just got some pre cut filets and ny strips here this morning, and cooked the filets for lunch. These were legitimately the best steaks Ive made myself so far. Ive only been good at cooking steak for a couple years now, but I never thought to try a real butcher shop. This meat made all the difference. The texture was perfect and it melted in our mouths like something from a fancy steak house. I will definitely be coming back for more and Im already looking forward to the strips, as Im sitting here still full from the filet lol.
