A great spot for IT equipment. From GBics, cable and switches; this is my go to spot when I need a quick item for a project.

This place has always been like a smaller Frys Electronics, but now even Frys would look great compared to this Watauga location. Called to order a DVR, they days they would bring it in from another store. Not only do they not know whats going on with the transfer, but apparently they dont know what Has the product arrived means. After a 15min conversation, they tell me the product is there, so I drive from Granbury to pickup. Week you know what happened when I arrived. No product to be had! Keeping Amazon in business yet again!

They were closed, but multiple stores told me to check them out as they were most likely able to be able to help us successfully complete our project! Guess what, they were! We returned, found help, and they were amazing!!! Thank you!!

Good PC and IT parts store with a great repair service as well. They dont have everything, but are definitely adequate for general to advanced needs. Great resource within easy driving distance.

Great place, sells just about anything you need for cabling and PC builds. On top of that, they have good prices and employees. 10/10 would recommend to anyone to shop here.

Has a good selection of items. Had the limited 3070 GPU in stock when we bought it but the pricing on items was much higher than I would pay compared to other parts places but availability was a plus.

Staff was awesome. They answered questions I had, were easy to find when needed, and not pestery when just browsing. Selection of items was very good, sections are well laid out and are well labeled. This will be my new first stop place for anything electronics or computer related.

First off, the employees at this store are beyond helpful and have excellent customer service skills. I have been to this store about 2 or 3 times now and my experience has been extremely positive every time. The store is also very well stocked. This was the only place in town I could find the adapter I needed for my laptop that actually carried it. Best Buy, Office Depot, and Staples all had to be ordered. Their prices are better or on par with big box stores as well. I will definitely continue to come here for all my electronic needs!

Great ppl working here. Always super helpful. I have enjoyed Altex for many years. It took me a while to accommodate the new location... i would find a need and then think to myself Where is Altex vs where am I? But the reality is, I was always thinking of the PREVIOUS location!!! Is this what it means Cant teach an old dog new tricks? Hahaha! Anyway, Im well calibrated to the new location now. Just thought Id share a funny story with you.

The place is packed with anything technology you could ever want or need. Now the staff is a little dry. They’re not bad but unlike their Carrollton site they aren’t going to be enthusiastic that you came in for a visit. Not a deal killer though, grab what you need & go.

If there was an option/rating of no-stars, thats what I would be doing -- not giving any. Why? When we came in, there were 3 associates and none of them even said Hi. They didnt even look us in the eye.Customer service is non-existent. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place.

The pricing was actually very competitive with online prices too. Very clean and organized. Definitely shopping here in the future for any of my electronic needs.

Great selection of equipment, and they have a very knowledgeable staff. If they dont have something youre looking for they can easily get it from one of their other stores very quickly.Real electronic supply houses are getting few and far between, these guys still have quite a few components and a lot of stuff that elecktronicks techies use.Highly recommend, and Ill be back

Staff is friendly and all, but their prices are outrageous. Sometimes double what the item goes for on Amazon, at Target, Walmart Etc. In addition, they do not price match. Just not worth shopping there anymore.

Just 4 hrs the people is working here? what!

I purchased a computer from them and requested a 1TB hard drive be installed. While I talked to one sales rep another was supposed to be installing the larger hard drive. When I connected the system two days later. I found that the hard drive was not installed and I had a computer with a 460GB hard drive. When I called the store about, I spoke to the rep that sold it to me. He insisted he didnt understand how that could be. I paid for the 1TB hard drive and now have to go back and listen to a sorry excuse about why I didnt get what I paid for.Im going to request a refund. Hopefully they will honor what is written on the receipt that says they will give a refund on products.Altex will gladly Exchange or refund your purchase within 14 days of the sale date. Provided it is not a special order product.I fell very strongly that I was deceived in this purchase.

Needed help replacing WIFI card on laptop. Had everything done, but could not get the wires on the new card. So I stop by and they helped me get it done. Very friendly and helpful. They didnt even charge me. If I need computer repair, service, or a new one, I will be stopping by again for sure.

This place is awesome and real close to my location. Much nicer building glad they moved from arlington. The hours are better than previous location....

This is a great store to get your computer parts & accessories. If you like to build your own computer systems, this is the place to go. They have good prices and friendly service people to help you find what you need.

The staff here are awesome. I wish pricing was a little better... actually I wish pricing was much better as Im a dealer for AV products and Im used to getting SWEET deals. But I digress because my distributors are always closed on weekends, which gives me a Saturday to get products that I need NOW for an emergency, which I guess Im okay with paying the extra cost.Sammy and Tu are excellent guys. They both know how to treat people. The other guys are just as good, but I cant remember all of their names because theres usually 5 or 6 guys working at the same time. Traffic is (not an insult) nonexistant. I would be lucky to see 2 customers there simultaneously. But that is probably what gives this place such a great customer service rating. Now all I need is for you guys to have a preferred installers list and Ill change this to a 5-star review. ;)

This location specifically is unlike any other Electronic store; its well organized & clean. The staff is amazing, they really go out of there way to assist u with finding what ur looking for. There solutions & recommendations have been Non-Subjective, which is rare.

I had a battery replaced in my Sony laptop at this altex location, the battery I had wouldnt hold a charge and I had to keep the laptop on a charger in order to use it. I was charged about $200 for this battery replacement and I requested a virus scan in the meantime. When I asked what all the scan came with, the employee pointed to a sign, rather than just telling me. It took well over two weeks to get my laptop back and when I picked it up, there was super glue running out of one of the holes, when I asked what it was, the tech told me one of the rubber pieces had fallen off. No big deal, but... MESSY. Within 2 days, my new laptop battery wouldnt hold a charge and I still cant use my laptop without having the charger plugged in. When I opened my laptop to make sure they replaced the battery, they had; it was no longer the stock Sony battery that came with the laptop, but it was replaced with some unbranded, cheap looking, flimsy battery. Buying items from the store is no big deal, normal pricing, same price as best buy and other local computer part stores, but I wont be dealing with this altex business anymore. What a headache. My first impression of them was LAZY. I was wary of having them work on my laptop, as I had seen a BUYER BEWARE sign on someones vehicle that they drove around with for months when this location opened and that is some absolute commitment to tarnish a companies name. I now absolutelyagree with that sign. Im unimpressed by the shotty work this company has done for me.

Ive here probably 4 times. About to go make my 5th, I really like it, each time I have felt a certain kinship with my technically minded brethren. They seem as excited about technology as I do. Also, I on my first 2 visits after my purchase they offered me a free bottle of water. (I realize its a small gesture but its still very nice.) I feel like the prices are decent, I usually price compare a good bit and on average I generally can expect to get a decent deal there and I feel pretty confident that Im never getting ripped off. Plus its so much fun just to walk in and walk around. Im a big fan!

First they say they did not have it in Watauga, then that on Thursday they would deliver me and in the end only that way they cancel the order. the worst company in texas

Small store with the essentials, the selection of components is as sparce as any other brick and mortor retailer.

This store is basically a Costco style Electronics/Computer store. Very well organized, kept clean, and the staff (especially the manager) was polite and eager to assist me and my friend. Definitely a great shopping experience.

I’ve been here twice! And both times everyone was very helpful and very nice. I will definitely be back for all my pc needs.

My security contractor told me about this place. It was great. I just went by to browse for a power adapter. They have everything from cable management to conduit to power supplies to cameras and DVRs. One of the employees approached me and was able to answer all of my questions. He seemed very knowledgeable in surveillance.

Go to microcenter for your home computer gear your cant wait to get online. Not a big selection and prices are pretty high. Avoid frys as well.

After going to several places, I decided to give Altex a try due to being located close to where I was. When I walked in, I was greeted by Justin Sheppard whom assisted me in figuring out if my hard drive was broken, or my computer. He was extremely friendly and he had my best interest in mind in regards to saving money, being patient and knowledgeable with all questions I had, and giving me the best option rather than making money off of me. I called and needed a headphone/microphone splitter called to see if they had one and Louie was so nice and professional. Drove there and it wasnt what i was looking for but when i was there i explained it better and knew exactly what i needed. Not bad,had exactly what I needed

If radio shack had a love child with best buy and the child didnt do the bad things learned from the parents youd get Altex. Its like a smaller Fryes electronics but with a focus and very very helpful staff and without the odd vibe of a Fryes. You get the point.

Altex always takes good care of me, and they have great prices and an excellent selection. Their pre-sales support is great, and I can always get in and out of their store w/ what I need very quickly. Special shout out and thank you to Chandler, who was very helpful and even got the product ready for me to pick up so I could get where I needed to go on time.

Needed some network supplies while in town on business, and this was a 1 stop shop. They had everything I needed and some stuff I didnt even know I needed. I paid 1/3 the price for a network cable than what another electronics store was charging. Staff was super helpful and friendly.

If you like good prices, high quality, and friendly and competent employees, this is the place to go. My colleague and I were in a bit of a sticky situation since a bunch of stuff wed had shipped didnt arrive on time. We came here and bought everything we needed, except for one thing they didnt have. A lot of the stuff was actually cheaper than Amazon too. Highly recommended! Shoutout to Sami, who helped us out.

Update: This Altex location is permanently closed.I came in to get a new motherboard for my Ryzen build after I bought two defective mobos from Amazon and asked for some advice. The staffs suggestion was exactly what I needed. It works perfectly! Its great to have such a store nearby!

Good customer service but prices are just to high. I looked at multiple things on my list I needed but they were about 5 to 10 dollars higher on all things needed.

It has pretty much eveything you need. Some pricing is definately convenience pricing.
