Hello everyone,Just wanted to start off by saying that this was without question one of the biggest builds I have every imagined doing. I have been waiting to do this for such a long time and it finally came to fruition. I had done some research and interviewing prior to choosing JRE as I knew for what I wanted to spend on this it better the right choice. Well it certainly was the correct choice. It started with a drive down to Waterbury CT. to meet Theodore and see the facility, very impressive indeed. Ted was very polite and everyone, Kris, Al, and some other employees, professional and again, engaged and knowledgeable!I will admit I was nervous at first because my expectations where on 10 and this was something that Ive wanted to do years. All of that went away immediately as JRE made me feel that comfortable, I was at the right place and was working with Racing Professionals.So what did I do, I wont list everything but as Teddy said to me, Mike, the only thing left here original is the paint. You have a Supercar here. Guess what, it certainly is! 680 rwhp is absolutely incredibly and the drivability is exactly what it is and explained to me prior to starting. Suspension, brakes, Whipple SC, head work, clutch upgrade, headers, rear end, gears, and on and on.Theodore and the entire JRE Team, I cant say enough how happy I am and when that car starts up a smile is glued to my face! Driving my car is so fun and enjoyable, :) Thank you again for the time you spent with me explaining every detail, the professionalism, the phone calls at every turn, communication is the key to success, and the continued relationship for many years to come!Thank you, Michael Smith

Have worked with Ted and his staff three times now, every time its a phenomenal experience! Made the mistake of going to a local speed shop before going here and I was extremely disappointed with the lack of communication, the lies and how I received my car back. The level of communication is beyond expectation with Ted! The team at Jannetty Racing are very professional and thorough. Ive taken my car to two different speed shops and this seems to be the right place to be. After driving 14hrs i feel like it was worth the trip.

Let me start by saying that Ted, Kris, and the rest of the employees at this place are fantastic. Upon calling the shop to get my vehicle scheduled in for basic maintenance and to have it looked over before being put on the dyno Kris was nothing but helpful and patient with all my questions and concerns answering them above and beyond my expectations. We spoke about what was needed to be done and he had me scheduled in right away and gave me a quick estimate over the phone. I was pleased and surprised to how simple this was after dealing with two other shops/tuners who couldnt get my car right for me nor cared when I had issues. The day I dropped the vehicle off I delt with Kris and Ted it was super simple and Ted even took the time out of his day to show me around one of the cleanest and organized speed shops Ive ever seen. Ted also answered all of my questions and concerns with no issues and made everything crystal clear and transparent. A couple days later the car was ready and ever since then its put a smile on my face again after a year of issues. I would 200% recommend everyone to give these guys a chance to work on your vehicle they treat it like its there own. I will be back in the future again for more upgrades thanks again guys, Peter.

Ted was great, I emailed him about fixing a botched tune on a Sunday. To my surprise he emailed back within a hour saying he would be able to fix it. My car went from having poor street drivability to a car that drives better than stock. Completely happy and would recommend Ted and his crew to anybody!!

I’m not much for writing reviews but after my experience with JANNETTYRACING I thought I need to tell my story. I ordered this car brand new in 2011 I decided to do some mods Because money was the issue I took it to Bridgewater Mass. where the shop got a lot of good reviews I got taken. I got the car back gas tank straps were loose gas tank was almost falling out half the bolts in the nose of the vehicle were missing I had to re-order from GM and their favorite tool was a sawsall. Couple weeks after hydraulic lifters let go cam was scrubbed and I was charged an additional money. I was so Leary and discussed to take the car to any performance shop. For years I did my own work I took it to Jannetty racing the tune was so bad everything was deleted in the computer to pass emissions. Ted Jr. directed me to do some things to the vehicle to improve it he gave me a list knowing that I could do it myself. Big Ted tuned it gained 60 more HP and runs like a charm I couldn’t be more happier thanks again guys that shop is a class act and this is a true review.

Update (12 July 2021). Tony repeated his magic! My 2005 Lotus Elise is outstanding on the track after road forced balancing the tires, a custom alignment, and corner balancing. He turned “good” into “perfect”! It was amazing the last three times I was on the track. I shaved 10% off my previous best time. OMG! Thanks Tony! You’re the best!29 Oct 2020I have telepathic steering!I brought my 2011 Lotus Evora to Jannetty for an alignment. Up to now its eaten tires, and tracked poorly after multiple unsuccessful alignments from the name brands. I heard about Tony (an alignment whisperer I believe) at Jannetty and had to give him a try.He spent over six hours on my car between Road Force balancing the new tires, and fixing the mistakes in the alignment from the previous mechanics, including unfreezing a toe-link. He preloaded the car with 75kg sand bags in the front seats as I hoped (Lotus spec) and delivered an alignment that was amazing.I drove home in a steady rain at high speed, realizing that my steering was completely different. No bump steer, amazing tracking, and an incredible direct feel of the road. It was as if the steering was telepathic.Tony.... well done. Now Im spoiled.

Very positive experience with this shop several times, they know exactly what theyre doing from sales and common courtesies to the actual shop, tuning and dyno work. Both the shop and the sales area are well organized, the guys who touch the cars treat them with respect and care, and the shop has a high quality dyno with a separate customer area. Im completely satisfied with their installations and results (both are always explained in detail, by the way), and wouldnt hesitate to use them again in the future.As to the 1-star reviews questioning the shops integrity and calling them ripoff artists, Im sorry but its extremely hard to believe, and I think either youre full of it or blowing some small misunderstanding out of proportion.When I first contacted Ted years ago without any reference or personal acquaintance whatsoever, asking for recommendations on what to buy, he refused to sell me parts and service that he knew I wouldnt be happy with. We remained in communication for a year before I ever set foot in his shop and actually purchased anything, and yet he kept being very helpful to me, a non-customer whom he had never met. Also, he doesnt mince his words, he is courteous and decent but theres no cuddly talk or ego stroking—if thats what someone wants, they probably need a shop run by shrinks and not automotive professionals.Once in the shop, their invoices are extremely (and granted, somewhat unusually) detailed indeed, but I actually find this valuable as I now have a full reference to what exactly went into the car and what work was done to it. They never, ever tried to pad the invoice and last time I actually paid less than the original written estimate, because the modification required less labor than Ted had anticipated. Jannetty Racing isnt cheap, but they dont gouge and in my experience the adages about being treated the way you treat others and getting what you pay for applies here 100%.So there are two sides to each coin, and although there definitely are scammers and crooks and quacks in the performance business, Jannetty Racing is none of those.

Dont even think about it - get your baby in there !!!Kris hooked me up - great sales person - made it easy for a non-technical car lover - and they took care of my issues mechanically before they tuned my vehicle (which I really appreciate). Ted is huge (literally lol) he does the tuning - you dont want anyone else super nice and efficient.

Very impressive business with extremely knowledgeable staff. Shop was very organized and clean. Recently installed a supercharger and Jannetty fined tuned and added many extra details needed for smooth performance. The car runs and drives flawlessly. Stopped in this week for the first time great place and friendly and very helpful and knowledgeable . I bought a Cold air intake kit and a tuner for my 2011 Camaro. Kit was well made and was installed very easily by myself and son in-law, Then plugged in the tuner and sent them my file from my car and they sent back my new tune there instructions where easy to follow and the results are unbelievable.Cant wait to do some more upgrades will be back soon to Jannetty Racing for the long tube headers.

There is no questioning that JRE is a reputable and professional Proformance shop. For that alone is a good reason to use there services for what ever your build is. But on top of that they will go out of there way to help you with what ever you need, weather it is education or doing things you are not set up or equip to do they got you. I would highly recommend checking them out if you are considering doing a car project.

Had my Camaro remotely tuned and completely woke it up. HIGHLY recommended.

When getting your car worked on for performance upgrades by a shop, PLEASE ensure you learn yourself at least a little bit of what is needed to be done to your car for the upgrades you want and to get with a highly reputable performance shop that has years of expertise of performance, knowledge, and satisfying the customer. Biggest thing is to ask as many questions to get yourself to feel super confident in whatever shop you decide to go with.Trying to keep this brief: I started with one shop and they were okay. Got to a point that I was being up sold on things I didnt need/want at the time vs. being sold on the best or better options for my wants. Also, later find out they installed the wide-band sensor incorrectly and never heat wrapped certain lines.So I went to shop #2, they did the installs pretty good from I what I could see, but keeping me updated during the lengthy process couldve been better and they failed to give alternative options for parts to go with (example: I was upgrading pistons, but was never asked if I wanted to go with lower compression since I was already supercharged). End result, their tuning was bad.Went with shop #3, they talked a good game. End result, they fixed my previous tune but it was still bad come to find out later. There were settings that was never turned on to compensate the performance upgrades. And for installing, had headers taken off to have taken to another company to get coated, but then a delay happened and had to reschedule for another time. Well, those headers were put back on and later was pointed out how that there was an exhaust leak (apparently, the same gaskets were used when headers were reinstalled), slight damage to the headers and x-pipe, loose and missing motor mount bolts (those had to be removed to shift around and get the 2 SW headers off), and coolant line not secured to bracket.If it wasnt for me to tell myself to take a long trip up north to Jannetty Racing Enterprise, its no telling how much more longer I wouldve went with the problems and not really knowing of them. Unfortunately, theres not that many good shops around my way that can work on modern day LT engines. Thanks to the guys at JRE for providing detailed answers to questions Ive asked, for posting informative videos on YouTube, and for replying back or posting on the Camaro6 Forum.Today I will feel 100% confident walking out with great service. From here on out, any tuning for if I do more future upgrades, my business will stay with JRE (they I can do a remote tune too). If I need a major install of anything done, Ill take the drive to drop the car off with JRE and have the work done. If its a small install job that I can do in my driveway, Ill call JRE for guidance if I need it.I truly appreciate Jannetty Racing Enterprises work ethic and customer service. Thank you guys so much 👍🏽

I can’t express how above and beyond these guys go. I’m a regular guy, I’m not a millionaire, I don’t have a 1200hp car and 50k in the bank. I came for a dyno tune on quite a Frankenstein of a car and I broke a pulley and a belt on a less than common engine combination, less than 30 minutes later the parts were here and we were back rolling. I didn’t feel as if I was over charged, I felt as if it was very fair. My car broke on the dyno and he didn’t charge me for the time it was strapped in. I’ve dealt with my fair share of “cheaper” shops and it’s just not worth it, bring it here spend it once and spend it right. We pulled my car off the dyno and a couple little things were off, (had to drop idle 50 rpm to get it juuuust right) for no charge. To me it’s more important to have someone do a quality job one time and have them stand behind it, rather than using your “buddies buddy who knows a guy that built a motor once” to try and save some money. Ted senior, junior, al and all the guys all treated my car like it was world class and I sincerely appreciate it

Brought my 18 Corvette Z51 in for a supercharger. There was an issue with the motor and Ted and his staff sorted through everything. What could have been a disaster was averted because Ted, Al, Kris, Nick, Teddy, and everyone else at Jannetty put the customer first. Any follow-up issues Ive had were dealt with quickly and fairly. Just went back for a complex exhaust system fitting and Im not done yet. Thanks Ted!

Funny how most of the low rating reviews are from users that openly admit to NOT being a customer.I felt as though they communicated very well, and although our bill was almost twice what was quoted, how was Ted to know that a standard Procharger BOV that I installed wouldnt hold pressure? How was he supposed to know my fuel pressure would drop that much under full load? They called with each issue, we discussed... and I drove away with a sleeper Denali pushing over 600hp at the crank. Ill be back with the next car!PS... I left some of my snow tires in the parking lot.

I’ve heard of jannetty’s and although the’re rated 4.5 stars I would rate them much lower, a few of my friends have brought their trucks in for one thing, and they end up doing whatever they want, adding a bunch of extra things on the bill at very high hourly rates that adds up to hundreds of dollars over than what you were expecting. I do not recommend going here!

I want to provide my personal experiences with Jannetty Racing to anyone who is considering purchasing parts or service. Im going to say right off the bat that I have nothing negative to share. I have been a customer of theirs for several years now. I do all my own major installs. I have done three cam packages purchased from JRE and their parts are top notch. The price is comparable to anyone else out there selling the same parts. Ive had many services done by them such as trans fluid, rear diff replacement, brake/clutch service, thermostat install, and many dyno sessions. The owner, Ted, has tuned all three 5th gen camaros Ive owned and his tuning is flawless. He knows what he is doing. His remote tuning with the SCT X4 device is fantastic. Not only convienent, but when I drove up there to put the car on the dyno it was PERFECT. I was shown all the readings from the dyno pulls and nothing needed to be adjusted. Not saying every car would be like this, but it shows that Ted has the knowledge and experience with these 5th gen camaros ( Many other cars as well Im sure). Teds son, Teddy, is what makes this performance shop really come together. Teddy is a tech there and he has helped me with installs and tips on his off time to make sure the job, in this case my cam package, was done RIGHT. I have never had another shop make themself available to a customer after hours on their personal phone. Ive seen a few other reviews on here saying their bill was high and over priced but you get what you pay for. These are performance cars at a performance shop being worked on by proffesionals that specialize in these types of cars. Ive learned that cheap work usually needs to be done twice. Ive also read a review saying they had to wait hours for their car to get worked on. Well you must not have made an appointment because out of the 9 times I have driven there to have work done on my car it was taken in immediately. Not only that, but Teddy invited me in the shop to watch and talk about future upgrades that would be benificial. Its a great performance shop that will not jerk you around. Start with the tune and see for yourself. I am just a regular guy from New Jersey and not paid to write this. Just an honest review of my experience with Jannetty Racing.

The shop definitely knows what theyre doing, theyre not great at getting back to you or communication and their prices are Extremely high. They will charge you for everything that they can possibly put on a bill or add to your car so be careful when working with them and monitor what they want to do because they will charge you for every little thing they do and there hours add up quickly.

Im willing to bet 90% of these reviews are buddies of teds or best yet are employees of the place, Ive been in the car secne in Waterbury for over 15 years and anyone that knows anything about performance knows that this place is a rip off big time!!!! My brother went there years ago was always getting soaked by them tuning his ws6 and it was never right the price was always higher than quoted and never a call to advise of more work they would just do it and charge him, finally he went to east side performance and they straightened the car out and got it right at the agreed upon price with no surprises, if you have unlimited money and want to feel special because Ted Jannetty worked on your car(which is nothing to brag about) go there if you want a honest deal go elsewhere because at teds you dont get anything but BS and if you ask any REAL car guy I guarantee you will get told the same thing Jannetty is a over priced over Hyped hack

Heard many stories about this shop and I got to say everything I was told was negative and awful experiences here. Also I was told a lot of the good reviews and stars they receive are by the own staff and people associated with the guys at the shop. My co workers brought their cars in their for specific issues that they needed fixed and all janettys did was fix mechanical problems with one guy not even trying to fix what he asked for over charging him and not telling him the add ons before hand but instead charged him after it was done, never kept in contact and asked if he wanted to fix those things, which had nothing to do with the actual performance of the car. My other co worker got scammed for a few thousand and had the same problems with these guys racking up the bill without telling him until afterwards. I mean what kind of business is that, anyone that considers this place needs to know that it is a jank operation and a money pit, do not bring your cars here please don’t be the next victim

My husband brought his Camaro in for a tune and Dyno. These guys were amazing, so knowledgeable, nice and funny! They made a few tweeks to the additions he made and his car runs great!! We drove over an hour to see these guys and it was definitely worth it!!Highly recommend!! 👍

This is my go to speed shop. Jannetty Racing has taken impeccable care of my Trans Am WS6 over the past 10 years. The work is top notch and they treat my car with the same care I do. Not to mention, Teds tuning fixed some serious drivability issues I was having and now the car drives perfectly on the street and is a beast on the track. Id wouldnt trust my WS6 with anyone else.

Shout out to Ted, Kris and Al oh and can’t forget Nick. I’ve modded wrx sti’s, Vw gti, even had a newer focus rs. No two cars are alike in power and modifying as to how they respond. I’ve been an automotive technician for 20 years and there are very few names out there for ectuning for each car that stand out. My sti my focus rs I tuned. Turbo cars are very different. My 2013 Zl1 being supercharger I decided to step aside and can’t be happier that Jannetty racing and their staff have been extremely helpful in me choosing my upgrades and knowing what works best for my Zl1. I wish I could drive there but it’s a bit far. Let me give an example. I have sct x4 tuner and needed aem wideband they included correct wiring and calculations to enter to datalog so aem read proper AFR during dataloging. Nick gave me proper settings for JRE 125rwhp tune and explained more in depth how the settings worked on JMS FUELMAX. The regular JMS direction are really vague. Very generic unless you own a mustang. I trust Jannetty because they don’t have you waste your money on parts that you just don’t need. Where others will have you buy 6 other parts you really don’t need. The tunes are safe reliable and make great power for the money. Safe is better than 30 extra hp and blow up a month later.

Forced me to pay more than original quote (signed) and ended up hearing leaks on the way home. Took 2 hours after appt. time to even start work on the car. Look elsewhere.
