Ive been shopping here for crafting and sewing needs for years.The workers are nice and very helpful. I was stunned to hear recently that theyre going out of business.Very sad since they were always my go to place whenever I wanted to make just about anything.

I was able to find the item I needed quickly. They have a great sale. The only thing that I notice is that there wasnt any music playing. It was too quiet.

Nice store. Seems to be very popular in this area because the shelves were empty! Understanding the holiday season and all but that says a lot. Helpful staff as well.

In and out really fast even though I shopped the fabric section and there is a sale going on. I wasnt sure where an item was and asked at the cutting counter, she told me right where it was. I took advantage of coupons on their app and it was much less than regular price. If you shop here often, no matter what department, it is worth downloading their app to save. Another tip I can give you is if they have a sale, you are much better off at the beginning of it. Today was the last day of the sale and I noticed quite a few bare spots where they sold out.

So bummed its closing! But Ive already bought so much at the closing sale. Love their canvases

Its a craft store that looks like it is running on the razors edge of profitability. The store was exceptionally clean and well stocked, but the fixtures and building appear to be exceptionally tired and worn from years of use. Great business and people, but the facility is past its prime.

Staff very friendly, store always kept very clean and tidy and they always have what you need.

Store was clean and well organized, but not a soul to help. Waited at least 10 minutes for someone to come to the register to check out.Unfortunately items were mismarked and misplaced, so no on sale as I thought. Put a few items back, Ill wait for a sale.

My mom and i have gone to the waterbury ct one for many years and yesterday 2-9-2020 i saw they are closing that store. They are closing it due to leasing issues. Im gonna miss that store. They had everything you needed. But now ill have to travel further to the next joann fabric store.

Went there for miniature things but they dont sell them anymore. Its still a great store. Im sure they have everything you need for your hobbies.

Easy access to store and large parking area in plaza. Fabric and crafts. Some art supplies. Home and holiday decor.

There are a few exceptional employees. They are helpful and smile and are interested in what you are making with the fabric. They are why I would keep going back. Fabric selections are not as varied as I would like but I can always find something.

My wife ordered a desk and or floor lamp from Jo-anns online. When the package was delivered it was found that the base of the lamp was damaged in shipping and the lamp could not be attached to the base. We called Jo-Anns they checked and found that a local store had a lamp of the same type and we could bring the damaged one and exchange it for a good one. We did that and everything is working fine. Good job Joann

I went to the store closing sale and they had some pretty good priced things I bought alot of arts and craft things for me and my daughter to do and she loves everything its just sad that their closing.

While on my college break, I wanted to learn how to knit. They have everything you need for all your DIY craft projects. Their associates are knowledgeable, and courteous. I was bummed I was pressed for time, as they have a whole section dedicated to clearance items! My only disappointment is that that dont hold any classes at the waterbury location.

I was trying to get a price on something and no one was around. I finally saw a man who looked like a manager and asked him for assistance. He told me he couldnt help me price something and walked away with no more information such as directing me to someone who can help or explain why, and he wasnt even hospitable.

Let me start off by saying, I love the deals I find at Joann’s. I usually find everything I need when I go, for that reason, I prefer Joann’s over any other craft store, however, this particular Joann’s is severly understaffed, & some of workers there are not that friendly. The overall atmosphere of this particular Joann’s is depressing. Feels as if there’s a discord, (no harmony), between the staff and the customers, as well as each other. I think this Joann’s is stuck in a rut, and needs a complete overhaul. Something to bring some life into the store. Albeit the store is bright, and well lit, but always feels dark and gloomy. Go figure.

JoAnn Fabrics always has a large selection of Fabrics, findings, and craft supplies and their prices are reasonable.

This place is just awful. Staff is mostly no where to be found, and its laid out like a bad flea market. Add to that the terrible part of town its in and that would be a no from me. If youre driving buy, trust me...keep driving and head to Michaels on Union Street.
