The first time I went to 203 audio was about 6 months ago. I went to replace a stock tailgate speaker that was blown. I gave them the car to come back to find out they replaced the wrong two speakers in the rear doors. I didnt complain I had them disconnect the rear tailgate speaker so it wouldnt make that horrible noise and paid for the wrong speakers and went about my way. About a month ago I went back to them to remove a system from one vehicle and place it in another. They do so and the speaker burns out 30 minutes down the road. I return and was told the manager was not in. I go back a couple days later and the manager was very rude. No matter who was wrong or right in the situation he was rude and unprofessional. Especially, when me as the customer asked what can we do to fix this situation where we both can be happy. I definitely wouldnt return to 203 audio.
I wanted a car starter so I looked on line...I call one place they could not accommodate my needs so I called the next place which was 203 CAR AUDIO they Immediately answer the phone as well as answered all my questions and took my car the same day! I was in and out in a hour and 1/2 😁. Customer service was great they are friendly, helpful. I will be back for more of my car needs and I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEM!!!👍👍
Went there a while ago to have a double din radio installed, I asked the owner that I wanted everything nice and installed correctly so he tells me that they use plugs on installment. so about a month ago I had to do some work on the car witch required to remove the radio and guess what wires were all crimped and very sloppy job, even found peeled bare wires, NOT GOOD! INSTALLMENT WASNT CHEAP EITHER!
Jose is a fraud and kept on delaying installing my prepaid starter. He told me to come in for an install on 8/2 and when I arrived I saw signs that the business closed on 8/1. Good luck to anyone else who is in my boat.

I came here from wonderful recommendations I read about this shop on Facebook. I had a remote starter installed. My appointment was scheduled at 4p however my car didnt enter the garage until 6p because of other cars being worked on. There was only one man who took time to speak with me briefly however he left at 530 and after that, minimal communication from anyone! I was given a remote to the TV and sat there for 3 1/2 hours! My car went in at 6p and was done by 730. I was given the wrong price for the installation of the remote which annoyed me as I had asked beforehand what the cost would be and then I was given the wrong payment option of them accepting personal checks which they do not and was fortunate that I had cash at the time to pay for it! Very annoying, disappointing.My car has a working remote now. Im not criticizing the mechanical work however I am not pleased at all with the customer service I received!
The most unprofessional place ever. JOSE is a JOKE don’t waste your time coming here or your money. He has no customer service skills at all, this guy is so rude and disrespectful it’s mind blowing. So uneducated it’s disgusting. He lies on top of a lie telling me his speakers will make everything sound better. LIES. So much miscommunication. He gives me terrible quality speakers. He installs a broken speaker into my vehicle, gives me the run around. Doesn’t even give me my receipt I had to ask for one. At this point I am upset and I just want my money back and my old speakers back BUT no he wants to charge me another $170 to put my speakers back. Crazy thing is he doesn’t speak to his customers he actually yells and disrespects. WORST SHOP IN WATERBURY.DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME PEOPLE.First of all, I did NOT leave for an hour you left right after I did. I literally went down the street to the cemetery and turned back and you were gone and you had me wait an hour for you to come back. On top of that as I am going back n forth with one of your employees you call and LITERALLY YELL at ME on the phone ...GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Second of all, before I even did anything I told you what I wanted in my vehicle and you told me the speakers were going to do just that. You lied and just wanted money, took me for a fool because I did not know anything about speakers etc. Instead of speaking to me you lie and yell at me.
I went there to get a car starter and a radio and I loved the service. Not only the installation was good but the guy there was really nice and picked up my car and dropped it back off for me since I was home alone with my child, I really wanted to get the work done but didnt have a sitter or a ride and it was too cold to bring the baby out so he said no problem and picked up my car. Will certainly be returning for anything else I need and will recommend to all my friends.
What a terrible experience with this place and the owner Jose. Prior to going here I had done some research on starters. I went to a few other places to see what the remotes looked like and the cost would be. I went to 203 on Wednesday and the owner was very kind and seemed to know his stuff. He took out a box and showed me what the starter would look like. I really liked his type of starter so I took a picture of it for my husband. I ended up booking my appointment with him that day. My appointment was for 9 am on Friday. I made arrangements with my husband to drop off the car and when he got there, there was a sign on the door saying that he would be open at 10. That was the first strike. I get that stuff happens but maybe a phone call the day before or early that morning would have been nice.After the truck was finished my husband picked it up and the first thing he says to me when he got home was if I picked the right remote. The remote that was installed was completely different from what he sold me when I was there Wednesday. I even referred back to the picture and sure enough it was a different brand with only 1 button. I called Jose right away. He was extremely rude and kept saying “and the problem is what? It does the same thing”. My issue was that this wasn’t the remote we agreed upon. He told me he didn’t have that remote in stock and that he would need to speak with his distributor. I took it upon myself to go down there Saturday morning. I wanted to give him the chance to rectify the situation.When I got down there he was extremely rude and defensive. He told me it’s not always what the customer wants and that he’s the expert. Also, while standing there I noticed he had more of the starters I initially wanted in the display case. When I called him out on it he got loud and tried to throw the money back at us. I could tell he was trying to get rid of us. Getting a refund was never my intention. I simply wanted what we agreed upon. This guys customer service skills are terrible. Instead I left there completely unhappy. All around I felt like this guy was lying to me. He charged me for one thing and then put something cheaper in my car. Beware.***EDITED TO ADD***Im unsure on why this guy feels the need to throw what he does outside of installing starters in my face. what you supposedly do for the community does not apply to our business transaction. When we called you out on lying you got irate and said we were calling you a thief, then you proceeded to involve your wife because you no longer wanted to deal with us. You asked your wife to refund us, which we declined because we try to support our local small businesses. I think its important that you put out this video because i clearly remember you being the one to get loud. Even your wife tried to apologize for your behavior. Because of her empathy towards the situation, is why i didnt take the money and leave. Please learn some customer service skills. Ive read through your reviews and see that I havent been the only person to have problems.
Great customer service. Jose was amazing even though his day was crazy he made sure I knew what steps he was on and was always very polite and respectful Nicest bunch of people you could ask for thank you guys so very much.

I wanted to give this guy a good review, but cant. This nightmare started with Jose first rescheduling last minute and than being 2 hours LATE. I went in to talk prices with Jose. He gave me prices for a head unit/GPS/Back up Camera. He told me the head unit and the GPS were separate. (So he upcharged me for the GPS) Wouldnt let me see the box until everything was done. When he installed my back up camera, he didnt know how to put a bracket on, so my lip is sticking up about a half an inch on one side. The GPS in the head unit failed immediately. The back up camera was CROOKED, he told me he Couldnt do anything about it because it comes like that. He didnt ground the wires correctly so whenever I brake in reverse the screen glitches. This rocket scientist charged me for Labor but when I went to check on my car (which he snarled at me for) he was SITTING down, Drinking a beer. He was late for the appointment (two HOURS) So I had to fix EVERYTHING he destroyed in my car. I went to Kartel on Wolcott road and Mike did a great job fixing the stuff Jose butchered. Jose was SNIPPY, Rude, unprofessional and LATE. So come to find out, the reason he upcharges his customers is because he buys his parts from another company because of bad standing with the wholesaler. We all make mistakes and I understand that, but this man made SEVERAL and couldnt own up to one of them. One star, unfortunately. Will never come here again. Updated response: I cant SHOW you that you were drinking and Im sure youve cleared out all the empty Heineken bottles by now! (Especially since I finally made the long overdue review) I never made an appointment you told me youd call me back and I GAVE UP on waiting for a call back. You told me that Its not adjustable. There were wires sticking out of the dash, the Rear lip is extended. I waited for TWO hours for you to get there because you were late! (In traffic. Apparently from New Jersey) All while you had another guy waiting there since 10AM. My appointment was 5 and that poor SOB was still there! Like I said, I really wanted to give you a good review, but your entire operation simply isnt worthy. Also, Kartel doesnt even carry BOSS! And what took you Six hours to butcher to a pulp, took Mike under an hour! And lastly, why would you tell me the GPS installation is extra if the GPS Systen literally is BUILT in? That doesnt make any sense. If you charged me almost $300 extra dollars for a wire and a CROOKED, uncentered satellite adapter, youre off your rocker. I hope for the sake of your future customers, you change your ways.

The owner Jose is very professional. They installed an autostart for me. They did it in a timely fashion and it saved my but this past winter!
