This was by far the very BEST store we have EVER been in! We encountered three staff members all of whom were MOST helpful, very friendly, made you sure to return!

Great place to shop at great prices. I check for things here first that seem pricey in the grocery stores. Always great for snacks, spices, cleaning supplies/tools, kitchen/bed/bath/lawn/garden ECT ... They carry a huge assortment of quality items for less.I highly recommend looking around.This last trip I needed spices but as usual I find other stuff to buy too.If you into home cooking from scratch I got some photos you will like but take note of item/size/price to compare at your regular place. The size may not be visible on some.

Im moving to a new place and have bought the things I need with their Crazy deals!! They are so awesome! Ive gotten over $1,000 from buying $1,000!! How can you beat that!! And the selection is unbelievable!!

Waterbury is operated by better, more fair management than the naugatuck store. Why? I bought a perfect hose in naugatuck ocean state store and it failed and began leaking about the 3 month of ownership mark. It was leaking everywhere and I didnt abuse it so I knew there were likely others who bought one experiencing the same thing. I called the naugy store and the manager said they wouldnt take it back because it was beyond 30 days. I respect that but I also know if you buy in one ocean state store you can return to any of their stores so I called the Waterbury store and spoke to its manager who told me they had loads of perfect hoses returned because they all began to leak and that I could return to Waterbury for a store credit, return it for another perfect hose or return it for the updated just released improved perfect hose the fiber optic perfect hose. Thank you ocean state Waterbury! I wont ever step foot in the naugatuck ocean state again, all over a 20 buck hose that failed and short sighted management in naugatuck.

Found everything I needed and the staff were helpful.

The store is very similar to the Southington and Meriden store fronts. It is hidden behind the USPS (Post Office). A little more cluttered than the other sites. Staff was friendly and helpful when I couldnt locate an item.

I really like this store especially since Covid because they wipe down the carts before bringing them inside and ask you to leave your cart outside so it can be sanitized before they come back into the store, there are marks on the floor for social distancing and everyone wears their mask. They also have great prices on a wide variety of items.

This place is addictive and you want to buy everything in the store!

Cashier that first checked my purchase I pointed out the incorrect price but she had no interest in being at work, I got the impression I was being a bother by just being a customer. unfriendly to say the least

New and old stuff here a sort off over stock products. Food and treats And also amazing variety of Christmas decorations and gift wrappings tissue papers much less than in other stores.

This store has everything a person could need or want. I absolutely love this place. The people who work there are very helpful and extremely pleasant.

I went in. Everything was in order. Social distance was being observed. There was someone next to me who wasnt wearing a mask and a gentleman that I presume was the manager nicely told the woman to please put on a mask. At least one store is taking part in doing what they have to do to keep their employees safe as well as their customers. Im tired and disgusted at the stores I go to due to no compliance with Covid 19 measures and the employees and managers who dont take a stand and tell those individuals its either a mask or get OUT!! Point blank! Great job Ocean State!! 🥳🥳

Ocean State JL is always good for some basics. I actually love getting shirts and art supplies here. The paint is very decent for a modest price. Better than the art stores.

Check your receipt before you leave. Good prices, but 2nd time a charge that was not mine. I saw it before we left the parking lot. It was quickly and pleasantly corrected

This is a good store if your looking for home goods and dried/ canned foods. This place always has a great deal and be sure to check out if they have any crazy deals before you start shopping because those are usually really great and come with store cash to use another day, which is very helpful. Stop by I hope your experience is as great as mine.

The crazy deal bucks are crazy. Buy something thats on sale with the crazy deal and get the full price back in crazy bucks to use for anything in the store. Crazy!

Love to go there! Prices are great on name brand items. If you sign up you get special deals and coupons. Just park and walk in and out...muvh easier than the big box stores. Take your time shopping and youll see lots of unusual items especially in the food dept.

I go there periodically to brouse and usually find brand name items at great prices and they have items you dont see at other places.

In todays world its all about price ! I will shop multiple stores to find the best price on the things I need . My shopping day starts at Ocean State because they carry a good part of what I need at the best prices around especially different foods that Ive been eating so I can drop a few lbs. 😊

Love this place for seasonl decor,i bought my new summer grill there this summer plus i got a $40 giftcard to be able to spend in anything for buying the grill which only $80 on sale so was almost like getting the grill for 40. They do this kind of stiff all the time. Called crazy deals its great.

Good prices for good brands

They had some soap bubble stuff for sale so I poured it on the floor and took a running start and slid naked through the whole store. I did notice that new customers kept falling down though and breaking bones though. One guy in shorts actually crushed one of his testicles and green fluid came out. I took another running start and slid through that too!
