They had everything I needed and large selection of Fresh Meats

I only needed to pick up 2 things. I was in the store longer than what was necessary because of the outrageous lines. I have shopped shoprite for years and no matter where they move to it’s always the same issue. It’s freezing and I had to park very far because the lot is full. I can’t say they are under staffed, or they need better staff. All I can say is if you are going to go be prepared to be in line for a few. I have even went at 7 a.m and even then you get stuck in a line because it seems they only have 1 cashier for the elderly and the rest have to go to self checkout. Their system is way more sensitive than Bj’s. So then you need a cashier to help... 🤷🏾‍♀️I do like the prices and my grams loves this pie. All and all not a bad store.

The place is clean. For a grocery store that is 500 yards from its competition to the front and less than 2 miles at the rear, there cant be any complaints about the selection. This store has a small seafood department where as the competition to the front does not. On a scale prices are about the same. Some a little more and some a little less.

I went to the self-checkout area rang up my items there were no bags there I paid for a bag, went over to the girl on the next register I asked her for one she told me that I needed to go somewhere else to get a bag?? Wonderful customer service, all she had to do was say here you go, and I will have it filled by somebody else as soon as possible oh, dont know where the attitudes are coming from

What a horrible first experience. This meat clearly was not fresh and had to be thrown away. A waste of $7.00 and I would never shop at this location again.

One of my favorite grocery stores. They have decent prices and always well stocked. I also like utilizing the online shopping/ curbside pickup.

I understand we’re in a pandemic. But if you offer ShopRite from home pickup I would expect it to be better. How is it every time I order half my order is “out of stock”. I don’t order crazy things. How are youGoing to tell me you Don’t have tomatoes or lettuce or celery? It’s a little ridiculous. The reason I don’t go in the store is because I have a baby and don’t want to bring him in. If it’s such a big problem for these people to do their jobs then don’t offer the service. And I accept substitutions so it’s not because that brand was out of stock. If your Going to charge a service fee. Then at least offer the service well.

Prices are good. The store today was a hot mess. I dont know why a company would hire people to reset shelves during the day. This is a process that should be done when it wont impact customers. The aisles are small enough without people and multiple carts. Our cashier was amazing friendly and quick. Really made today a great experience. Thank you Mia

I love ShopRite because you pay way less for fruits and veggies, compared to other grocery stores. I didnt give this store 5 stars because there are times when the fruits and veggies here dont look as fresh as they should.

Well Ive always loved ShopRite Im handicapped. And theyre always helpful they always help me with packing my bags even though its the the virus there are only allowed to do certain things you got to have your own bags but other than that theyre very helpful they help me because I cannot walk my Walker and walk the carriage at the same time so I put my Walker into the carriage and then I have a basket cart also so they let me put that behind the courtesy desk then they help me get it they have bring it up to me they do everything for me that I need to be done when I ask them they dont give me a problem at all they just go ahead and do it they help me walk it out do I wait for a medical vehicle to come pick me up. This is Anna Waterbury ShopRite. So Im happy very happy with performance and when I need help there right there no questions asked if they dont give me a hard time about anyting and I always get the help I need if its the carriage or help me load my stuff into my car push it outside for me. I hope you guys can understand what Im saying because Im talking this out and sometimes the words dont come out right. But I always go shopping at ShopRite I do love ShopRite and the prices are pretty decent and I find things very easily in the store sometimes I cant find things I asked in there right there helping me.

These hours need to stop or people will switch stores completely. And FIX your times on google, if you guys are going to close early for no real reason... than correct the time so we don’t waste our time driving to you!

Love this shop rite. Always clean, and no weird robot stalking people through the store! Affordable, fresh produce. Try bowl and basket brand, it really is just like name brands like barilla, Ragu and many others.

The worst shopping experience ever. Nothing is on the shelves- all around the store one thing is found in 20 places and all the flavors are never at the same spot. We went there for instacarting and they did not let us checkout with alcohol, while customer is approved to be 21- sent id as well+ The shopper is over 21 too and they just wouldn’t accept the id. a whole joke. Save yourself a trip and go to any other store.

I love shop rite, always a great variety, prices always great. But I rarely shop at the Waterbury location. I ran her today because I was shopping for my Aunt and myself. Store staff is wonderful as with all shoprites. But this location is a zoo! Aisles were packed, employees stocking, customers blocking isles, long lines at the checkouts, no Covid guidelines, if I ever go here again, it will need to be very early AM or very late PM. Just too much of a circus!! 😩

Ive always loved Shop Rite. I used to always order online and pick up in store but ever since they implemented curbside pickup I love the service even more. What I would like for them to do is lower the fees for the grocery shopping. $15.99 is a little much when other services charge either nothing or a smaller fee.

A worker there named Damar had a very positive attitude and was very respectful.

Their customer service is horrible! I placed an order online last week and wanted to use EBT for the total among and debit for the delivery fee only. Online wasnt showing my EBT card being processed at all even tho I put it in. Only my debit card showed for the total amount. I called the store immediately to try and get someone to help me for 2 days only to be put on hold constantly with no help. On the second night, an employee said she would leave a note for the girl who would be proccesing the online order payments in the morning. I also asked her to have her call me as well because I was having so much trouble getting anyone on the phone when I call. So now its the day my order is to be delivered. No, call at all. I call around 1 and finally get the person doing the orders only to be told that my debit card was charged for the full amount which is over $200, leaving me with only $3 in my account! Im furious because that was my entire check that I had just deposited the night before and set up my bills to be paid by the 9th. Now due to poor customer service and a lazy staff, I have to wait for a refund, its a holiday weekend to make matters worse. My bills are due and my baby needs pampers. I have no clue how long a refund will take so I attempted to call the store again(9/8/20). Again, the staff just picked up and put me back on hold without even saying a word 4 times! Then I get answered by the assistant manager from the deli!!! They transferred me to the deli when I called customer service in the first place. That guy seemed annoyed and told me I need to call back to customer service even tho I asked if he could just transfer me. All that only for my phone to then run out of minutes. A whole months worth of minutes gone due to waiting on hold with no resolve from this incompetent and rude staff. So now I have no way to even call anywhere else I need to and Im stuck with no money because of this. Its sad and pathetic that ppl cant value their jobs or customers. Ignoring a customers calls for help before things got to this point have put me and my baby in an unnecessary hardship not knowing when there will be any resolve. I stopped shopping there last year because there always an inconvenience, but a year later gave it another shot because I had no choice and this is what I get. Oh, and to top it all off, half my order wasnt even available but they couldnt even call and tell me that. They claim I shouldve gotten a text. I DIDNT!!! So now I have mostly just baby food and need to find a way to another store on foot to finish shopping. This store really needs to be retrained on every level and teach the importance of quality customer service and professionalism. I hope they learn that laziness can ruin someones life while theyre over there twirling their thumbs.

No to crowded at that time

Its the biggest bait and switch store chain around. Last week they made items with digitial coupons also have an additional ten dollar purchase required. Then those itens continued over to this weeks flyer and they did not have that disclaimer with those items in the new flyer however were still requiring the ten dollars. Then they did not even have some of those items on day 3 of a four day sale. The shop rite of waterbury does all of this to get the stupid customers to buy the wrong size of an item thats not on sale. Overall its sad to say a ghetto store.

This goes for their delivery service, always have stuff missing when I order online, tired of them saying they will send it later or refund money ( They never send it later btw )...Do your job correctly to begin with....not hard at all.

ShopRite had what I needed.

Just ran in for a few things although I have used this store for weekly shopping often. I am one of those who go where the best prices are for what I need to buy. When there are sales or coupons, this store has good prices, otherwise it is comparable with other stores in the area so there is really no drawing anyone to shop here. It is a hit or miss with meats, I had some really nice roasts and I had some fatty, tough ones. I do like their fresh veggies and fruits. They dont leave them there to rot. They always look good but wish they had a larger department. (I couldnt find shallots and the horseradish roots were slim pickings.) Other than that, they do carry the same things most stores carry and the store has always been clean when I was there. So my advise is to always check the flyer or app. Often times it is worth the trip especially when the fruits and veggies are on sale.

It is disorganized and slow for grocery pickup. I had a designated time slot but when we got there, parking for pu was all taken, signage was missing, I had to go in and get it and was charged 5 bucks for the service. Will never pick an evening or weekend slot. Just not worth it

Food for thought, If you are not a senior citizen do not go on Tuesdays, overall its ok. love the coupons and sales. Glen in meat department is very nice, just saying.

I have been doing most of my grocery shopping at ShopRite of Waterbury. The prices are very reasonable and the produce is always fresh and much to choose from. The fish dept. has been good to me. Always fresh. The meats dept. is reasonable priced and of descent quality. I have no complaints. The staff are always friendly and ready to help if need be. Even the cashiers are friendly. I also use their pharmacy and they are very helpful to answer all my questions with kindness. Usually very clean too. I am very happy to continue my shopping there.

During the pandemic Ive been doing curbside pick-up and the the girls who usually put the other together are so nice and patient i consider them essential workers and i thank them all

Loved it. Sorry to those who is a stop n shop fan, i once was. But shoprite is the place to be. Beautiful setting, well organized, prices were so reasonable and affordable. The self check out was my favorite part. The whole experience was amazing. Definitely going back soon.

It seems since the pandemic that ShopRite has forgotten how to treat their long time customers missing items in delivery and charging also delivering defrosted items and open and expired food and not replacing when asked instead of credit, this may be my breaking point after 30+ years far too many times 1 correct delivery per year is disgusting no matter the circumstances.
