The store is large and clean. The music section is half to a quarter of the size it used to be. If you are looking for books on modern politics, pop psychology, or fad diets this is the place to go. Those sections are very large. The young adult section is mostly fantasy or mystery books with modern authors. There is a fair selection of comic books and a large selection of popular magazines in Iowa. The few older, classical books I found were all printed on this horrible paper that made them uncomfortable to hold. Definitely avoid the Agatha Christies in paperback... Theyre super unpleasant to touch, even though theyre great reads. There is a large religious section, because this is Iowa. This is no longer the place to find NCLEX prep books. That whole section is gone. The store has a large pop culture games and funko section. The childrens section has fewer toys than it used to. There were a fair amount of employees who were far more interested in stocking than in customers, which was great and made for a less predatory feel than its had in the past. The counter employees were very friendly but are still required to make store credit card type offers.

This is a great Barnes and Noble. They are always very clean, organized, and friendly. Their Starbucks employees are also very professional when handling people. I witnessed someone get upset that they couldnt take a Starbucks gift card (they havent for years, you can only use a Barnes and Noble one) and the employee stayed cool and collected.

Only place place in the area I like to go to get books and puzzles. My wife and I stop in once a month or so and like to get a new puzzle or fantasy novel. It always has a nice atmosphere, is very clean, and the staff is helpful.Im also a big fan of puzzle games and Lego sets and Barnes and noble has a good selection of the star wars and Harry Potter ones to choose from.

I always go here for one specific item, but I find so much more to buy. The staff are so helpful and friendly. The store is always clean tidy.

Great bookstore! So many selections in every category you could think of. Theres something about picking up a book in your hand that feels far more enjoyable than just reading off a kindle.

The staff are the nicest people ever

They are well stocked and use the floor well. They were not crowded but they had several customers browsing and purchasing. I was a little surprised at the amount of vinyl they had available. I spotted a couple of new authors I am eager to read.

Got the new John Grishman novel Camino Winds yeah Im flummoxed about a half hour ago I was just leaving the bookshelf in the store when I get harassment from the management for reaction to my islamic faith and the fact that I was enlightened by finding the Quran and browsing through the sacred pages I want a sincere and heartwarming apologies from the tyro management of the book store and I will eventually get it

I dont stop into the store nearly as much as I used to for the book selection. However their board game selection is excellent.

Quick friendly service. I had called a couple days ahead looking for a certain book that was popular. They were willing to hold the last copy for me for up to three days!!!

Great place to over pay for books! I honestly have no idea how they stay in business. Nice clean bathrooms though! I will do everything I can to never sit on a public toilet to take a dump but I had to there and didnt feel the need to coat my cheeks with purell when I was done.

The only book store I can find within a 40 mile radius of my home, I love books. I also like being able to find DVDs and Blu-rays as well as wide assortment of board games. I have always been a hard copy person.

I love browsing the book store. The service here is top notch too. I think the back of the store has been moved around with music and movies moved to mix in with the books and now the back houses games and toys. I still love this place

Awesome staff! Dusty (the peppy one in suspenders) is an amazing human. The staff is wonderful and they just revamped their toy section. Go get something from the Cafe, sit and read, have a date, or just get a good book. No matter what you will have a good time.

Smaller store than others Ive been to, whichequals less of a selection, and they also do not have the customer search stations. If you want to know if they have a book you need to ask an employee to look it up for you in their system. My personal preference is to be able to search on my own so if you dont mind having to ask for assistance this may not apply. Otherwise a well-kept store with a friendly staff in a great

Great selection of books, magazines, coffee. Perfect place to burn a few hours before a meeting, movie, or family get together. Or simply plop down and read a book for a few hours without fear of pressure from sales people to actually make a purchase. Multi-media (DVD CD etc.) Section is over priced. Wonderful kids area!

Love how clean the store is, great selection for kids, some neat toys and board games. Offs are if you are looking for a novel of at least moderate popularity they have it. The technical books in store can be limited, but you can always get those online and sent to you or the store. Great staff. On an off note, cleanest bathrooms in the area.

I love love love this store. The employees always seem to be happy. It is a warm and inviting atmosphere. Great for looking around or getting a coffee at Starbucks and just relaxing. They have books ranging from small children to adult. Their kids section is set aside. They have a little bit of everything for everyone. Recently they sorted some of their shelves by various fandoms; Lego, Harry Potter, Stranger Things. If you subscribe online, they seem to always have a sale going on.

Great store, but very pricey. They just recently renovated their building, taking out the music and movie area and extending their toys and games section. They have a fabulous selection of games now, but they usually sell them at the MSRP. You can find them much cheaper online usually.

People seem friendly and can be helpful. There are not enough spots with outlets in the cafe area.Theyve no respect for their customers (or products) as some of their products and books are displayed on the floor, underneath book tables and under lower shelves on the end of the bookcases.Floors are rarely clean.

I never realized that the Starbucks coffee they serve was not made with the same espresso machines as a regular Starbucks coffee was terrible. Nice big comfortable armchairs and nice atmosphere.Only reason I gave a three stars

This is an excellent place to shop whether looking looking for fun or searching for a specific book. If they dont have a book then theres a chance that they can order it for you. The employees seem happy to help if you need it.

I love going to Barnes and Noble. Theyre more expensive than buying online, but the experience of being surrounded by books is the best. The only thing I wish they had was a way to look up where a book is in the store. When I go to a place like this, I dont want to be bothered. I would rather have a kiosk to look up book location than have to ask someone.

Im a book nut, I love to browse the store and check out the clearance area. I could spend the day looking,. Just wish I had more money and space for more books. I do have a Nook, but I still love to turn the page. Keep reading, knowledge is power and they cant take what you have learned away from you.

I love books and I wish more people would be able to appreciate them. I love the fact that it is easy to get a Starbucks as well, as find the perfect book. They almost never sell out of books either. Last time I was here I got a nice journal for $2.50 an amazing deal!

Going there today it was fun because I gave my zip code as 01. Found out the clerk was from Ohio which is were I was raised. So nice when someone knows where Masury, Ohio is. Always enjoy going there. The only thing I dont like is Starbucks (sorry) I got hot chocolate it was watery.

The staff is great! Expecially the lady who usually works in the movie area. Shes extremely helpful. She got my kids signed up for birthday benders and helped quite a bit with finding movies I love. The place is always very clean and its a great environment. Love it!

This is a fantastic bookstore. The magazine section is out of this world, neat, and had the magazines I wanted. The people in the coffee shop were friendly and made my order to perfection. A nice friendly atmosphere.

They have an amazing selection of books and music, and coffee! Its a real bookworms dream. Besides that they have a nice selection of toys and collectables! 5 stars.

I may be biased since I go to this specific barnes and noble quiet a lot but the staff is super friendly. They have a huge Harry Potter section that seems to expand every time I go there and its wonderful! They had a Yule ball last year which was so fun and wonderful! I never leave here empty handed which is not beneficial to my pocket book but I quite enjoy it.

I understand currency needs to be checked by store clerks but I had to wait at least 10 min for cashier to verify a hundred dollar bill and call over 2 more employees, meanwhile there is a growing line waiting to checkout and it was a little embarassing. Absolutely NO apology. Left frustrated. Maybe educate employees on what they are looking for.

Yay, a bookstore! I love the bargain books area. The childrens book section could be bigger. And what will likely kill bookstores will not be online options, but, rather, the lack of staff available to assist customers in person.
