I absolutely LOVED my wedding dress from The Finery. It was the first dress I had tried on and after so many other options I tried, we all knew it was this one. The staff there are great to work with and made everything so easy for me being a bride living in Des Moines and having to travel to them. And even with the uncertainty of the pandemic making production and supply a concern, they were on top of it, we got my dress ordered early when they said to, and everything arrived perfectly and with time to spare.

Horrible service. I waited a whole 15 minutes before I was even spoken to. I had to keep advancing to the group that was there before I even got an hello. I was then told the manager was upstairs but I couldnt try on anything because of short staffing. I was sent off on my own to look for an outfit without any assistance. First time there but was made to feel unimportant. Definitely will never go back. Also not a place made for plus size women.

Had a horible experience, “manager” was CLEARLY more worried about her commission than being a helpful employee. With a store owner who has no respect or remorse for her employees who clearly are not trained we enough to work all day Saturday as a bunch of teenagers with no experience. What a joke of a business that is fighting to stay afloat

I almost hate to let the secret out of the bag, but this adorable little shop was THE go to place for prom dress shopping for my daughter. The selection wasn’t large, but we found a classy, elegant dress for prom twice! After looking for dresses at various shops the first time around, I was not impressed with the price or quality of the dresses we were finding. Stopped at Finery and found a great dress at a great price! When senior prom rolled around a couple years later, this is the ONLY place we went to! Again, found a great dress at a great price! Highly recommend taking a look!

I visited twice - once by myself where I received wonderful service and attention, and once with my family where again I was pleasantly surprised by the kindness of the staff. They have a beautiful selection, not to mention how adorable the shop is itself. Highly recommend.

I wish I had known about this place a while ago. Really great boutique upstairs. Thought it was just a bridal shop. They had prom dresses upstairs along with a lot of clothes, accessories, shoes, hats, etc definitely worth the stop.

Finery is thee place to go! ❤️ The bridal and bridesmaid gowns that they carry are so beautiful and up to all the trends (detail, lace, beading, sequins, cool strapping, etc) and the staff is so helpful and accommodating. They have an eye for this stuff! The trend boutique is SO cute. Not to even mention the prom dresses— so much glam for such a great price! Must visit!!

The staff was very helpful and friendly, they have such a beautiful selection along with larger sizes which is very nice to be able to try dresses that ZIP! Its a must to check out their everyday clothing also, very cute stuff! I will defiantly be referring friends and coming back soon!

I loved my appointment! Jordan (I believe) was an amazing help! After just saying I was doing a country theme and wearing boots, she jumped right in and pulled amazingly beautiful dresses. And even helped with wedding details, like runner ideas. I will definitely be going back for my dress!!!

I LOVED my wedding dress - it was exactly what I thought it was going to be. The only issues we had were with a few bridesmaids dresses. My daughters (she is tiny) had a junior bridesmaid dress and it was it was tight in the straps and broke the night of the wedding. I had heard complaints from other bridesmaids the several alterations needed to be made. I was extremely happy with everything there! Will go back to shop for clothes.

Wonderful experience!! My soon-to-be daughter-in-law was treated well with good service and a large selections of very beautiful gowns. This was by far the better experience, than we had at another shop. If you are a bride - come to Finery!

They do not have a very big selection of gowns and carry larger sizes only. However, the gowns they do have are beautiful! Not impressed at catching the manager telling my attendant not to write down my dress details for me as we previously discussed, since the dress I absolutely fell in LOVE with was above budget. Although, I told my attendant we were still open to a budget considering our date is still several months out. This left me feeling super bummed out. As my parents were unable to attend dress shopping today and I didnt want to purchase a dress without their company.

I had such a great experiences with Finery Bridal. I originally found the dress in Des Moines but it was out of my budget. I called Finery since they carried the exact same dress and found it was $350 cheaper. Not only that, but the boutique in Des Moines was going to charge me twice as much for the alterations I wanted and measured me an entire size up so they could charge me even MORE for alterations. Finery Bridal was transparent and fair throughout the whole process and were so easy to work with. I recommend them to all brides!!

I walked in and was immediately met by a friendly sales rep. She listened to what I was looking for and found the perfect dress. I only had to try on two dresses! I recommend this place.

Anna was awesome. Small selection, but I had a pretty big issue happen and they fixed it and Im floored. I am so beyond glad and relieved.

I went here with my friend who is getting married next fall. We had a great experience with Natalie! Did not buy today, but would definitely go back.

I highly recommend looking at different bridal shops! This place is way over priced and have ridiculous prices for shipping! Cheryl Ann Bridal in Dubuque and Hopes Bridal in Atkins have the same dresses at a better price and either have free or cheaper shipping. Parking is also inconvenient. Finery doesn’t allow reviews on Facebook... they must be afraid of the negative comments!

Nice selection of clothing at decent prices

So my bridesmaids and I all went here and the girls tried on a bunch of dresses and finally picked one that they all loved, including myself. Was told that all the girls needed to pay down half in order to get measured, but to make sure everyones dress was paid within a month and a half later to make sure dresses came in with enough time to do any alterations and have done by the wedding day. All of that was totally understandable and went pretty smooth. All the girls got measured and they all made sure dresses were paid by the date given. A week later from the day the dresses were to be ordered i get a call, mind you this is a month and a half after girls were first measured. The girl minds to tell me that the dress we ordered only goes up to a size 28 and that one of the girls is to big for the dress and that they cant put the order in unless I (the bride) chose to have a new dress picked out for her or all the girls by a different designer or to order fabric and have it extensively altered. Now to put me in that type of position just upset me so much. and to me it is completely unprofessional, when they could have explained this at the beginning when girls were first measured. I mean i could have at least made the girls pick a different dress. Anyways my whole ordeal is, if you have a friend or family member in your wedding, you may want to ask them the question of how high the sizes go up on the particular dress your interested in cause obvioously the people there wont tell you till it goes to ordering time.

Not impressed ATALL. When professionals cant order correct shirt OR dress sizes, much less the CORRECT shirts for the ties being worn, dresses and tuxs ripping mid wedding and doing NOTHING to correct the problem..!?! Its sad when you guys cant order the correct dress sizes for an entire wedding party.. These girls have NEVER been a size 8/10 in their lives and they had to have them altered back down to a size 2 so it would stay on..Never doing business here and if anyone knows whats good for them they wont either..way to cause 10× more stress for a bride on her special day... Seeing as my review was deleted from Facebook I thought Id leave it here for people to take into consideration before wasting time or money with your business.

I got my brides maid dresses there just because they were the only place in town i could find that had the right color brown i was looking for, but i had to do all the research myself they were not that helpful
