Brought my bus in for problems I wasn’t sure of. It’s an International bus so I felt good leaving it at an International facility. I live in MN so I was at their disposal. Told me my brakes needed to be fixed. Paid $400 for one caliper and lines. They Charged $1400 after labor and I broke down 20 miles down the road, and for the same problem I brought it in for. All it needed was a new $40 filter. Absolute trash mechanics and poor service. Never once returned a phone call on any updates, and was very hard to get to any answers out of them about what was going on with the services until it was too late. They put me in a horrible life situation. #merica

Not the best experience here brought a semi 11 am got it back next day just a little over $600 in parts total was $2100.00, worked on truck window and door. Didn’t put back half of the parts. Won’t be return here for any semi work any time soon.

I don’t like giving out one star but they definitely deserve it. Too expensive and slow. They wanted to charge me hood locks for $555 I went to gatr Volvo dealer they adjusted and charged me $85. While Thompson was charging me $555 parts, $435 labor, taxes and shop charge=$1168.54.

Very good experiences here. Especially when dealing with Amanda and Andy! They always get my truck diagnosed and serviced promptly. Only place I trust taking my truck to. Thank you

My unfortunate breakdown was quickly taken care of by these guys and Im happy I was so close to them when it happened. I definitely recommend them if you need some repairs and find yourself near Waterloo, IA.

Showed up here at 7 am needed a complete drum, break, rims bearings, tires change at a outside shop and I had a load on that needed to be delivered on the same day that the trailer broke down... even though they had a full shop the got me in Immediately and got me going by the afternoon... I definitely recommend Thompson truck repair

Not a good place

I have never liked this company. Throughout the years I have brought my 32 trucks to a few of Thompson truck and trailer locations. Almost evertime I brought a truck to any of their locations, it too long, didnt have the part, wrong diagnosis, over billed and no communication AT ALL. I only went there if it was last resort. But I have now been going to the Waterloo location exclusively for the past 4 months now, only because of the manager Amanda. She is very good at her job. I schedule my truck, when I get there its pulled in on time. When I get a quote it is fair and accurate. When she tells me a day its going to be done, its done that day and if something changes she call and lets me know. She communicates with me very good and is very friendly. If my company was not over a 60 miles away I would bring all my trucks there. The other locations still seem to fall very short of my expectations. They dont value my down time at all and I feel like they look at me as a walking check book! This company is definitely lacking a core valued upper management and it shows throughout the company, however if you have to goto one of their locations, I strongly recommend to goto Waterloo, you will get a fair price and very good customer service. If you see this Amanda, you do a great job! Keep it up.

Run by a bunch of idiots. They can only keep hiring and firing for so long before they need to look at themselves in the eyes and realize theyre the real problem.

Very nice people.A little pricey and had to stay awhile.Be prepared to get a hotel room the Howard Johnson cheap rate but small and dirty with no food available but Dominoes.They are slow.

The parts man, did not know what a common part was, had to go get vin, then he still didnt know, but had to dig to find if it even exist ! He first said that I am looking at a whole new part, but I said no. They sell that separately, I know, Ive always bought em in the past !
