Every time I come into the Wauconda store I have found the employee team so very helpful. You walk in and the cashiers greet you with a smile and say hello. Great start. Then while looking to figure out how to solve a small or large mechanical issue, or a paint job, plumbing, electrical, etc., people are right there to help strategize me through it. Thanks so much Matt, the other Matt and Kyle (as well as others whose names will come to me later). And especially thanks for the help with the lawn mower buy, delivery and the quick operational tutorial Mr. K!

I go there to buy bags of soil and dirt so I can replant my plants employees are friendly they help you out and taking things out to your car and I like it I like going there for my dirt and soil so I hope they keep up the nice work theyre doing and friendliness

Very friendly and helpful employees. They are no longer stocking craftsman and getting replacements during that time wasnt exactly easy. The plumbing old guy is a crack up, you dont get to see many like him anymore given the mom and pop stores are going away. They have most of what you need fitting wise but you pay a bit more for the convenience of being close.

Great full service store with friendly staff. They always have what I am looking for. Prices are fair depending on what you are shopping for.

I love going to Ace. Although some things are priced a little higher than Menards or Home Depot there are actual people that know hardware and paints and stains and tools. They can help you decide what to use. The selection is less than some of the big box stores but the quality is good. They also make keys rescreen windows and have other services also equipment for rent. One of the best aspects is you dont have to walk 4 miles to buy something. They have curbside pick up and online ordering. So unless I need 40 feet of lumber Ill stick with the quality and ease of Ace Hardware.

Bought an $800 Weber gas grill. They delivered it assembled as advertised. Grill lid had scratches. They said they would order a new one. Never happened. Further inquiries were met with the run around. They never bothered to make good.

Fantastic establishment that is very local to me so I prefer going to Ace whenever I get a chance for my hardware needs.sometimes their prices are lower sometimes their prices are higher than other hardware stores however the difference isnt enough to justify the added drive time for me and convenience of knowing that Ill find exactly what I need whenever I go into and this specific Ace hardware. Highly recommend obviously.

I was just in your Wauconda IL store. There was this very rude employee, Matt I believe his name was, that was at the back key counter. I wanted to a key that I brought in for my car cut. As soon as I got to the counter at the back and said I wanted it cut, he told me nope, not doing it. I asked him why, and was told because they dont cut chip keys. I informed him that the chip was in a part that I was going to take out and put in the new key, and he proceeded to talk to me like Im an idiot that doesnt know my car has a chip key, and told me this is why you dont buy chip keys online. The last I checked I could always count on Ace Hardware to cut blank keys for me but apparently not anymore. Now they have rude, condescending employees working for them. Ill definitely be taking all my key cutting and tool needs elsewhere, and definitely encourage anyone I know to do the same.

Much needed updating and remodeling going on in this store. Store associates are so helpful and nice. I try to go there and shop local as much as I can.

I always enjoy going to the Wauconda Ace Hardware. They work to compete with the big box stores and provide excellent customer service. Always clean and well stocked with plenty of free parking.

The staff here is great! We have been in for random things, and specific things, and each time they have it! Even had a broken window ( you guessed it, baseball to glass, they had fun with the kid when he brought it in too) and damaged screen repaired. Service was fast, friendly and convenient.

The Ace Hardware Wauconda is a large hardware store thats been around for several decades now its a clean and is kept very organized by the staff members. The staff here are extremely friendly and extremely helpful as they are trained to answer your questions about most common issues you may need help with.

In there just the other day. Ken helped me out trying to find my garden utilities and then was welcomed by the friendly cashier Mike on the way out the door. 10/10 would Ace again

Your customer service is horrendous. Had an older family member call while I was in the room with her inquiring if you carried a certain brand of furnace filter. She gave the brand name and sizes. The reply was I dont even know what youre talking about in a condescending tone. Mind you this is a well known filter brand. She went on to kindly describe them and was met with more disdain. I promptly told her to hang up and we called Menards, who not only knew the exact filter she was looking for, but was very friendly. Needless to say, we went there for our purchase. Im pretty sure you guys cant afford to be so rude considering your competitors are far superior. Might want to try and fix this before youre no more.

Not only was I not greeted when i walked in, but the 2 employees talking at the registers did not even reply to my greeting. 4pm on a Friday, i used to work here so i knew where what i wanted was.Since no one was around, i helped some younger guys in Hillman ailse. Walking past door to the back I could hear several people joking and being loud in their break room...but maybe only 2 people on the floor.Seems like the staff has fallen short on Helpful Hardware.
