I go to Menards all the time. This time in Waukesha. Its a big store with 2 floors and a cool escalator that you can bring your shopping cart up with you. Pretty cool

Id say 80-90% of the time I go here its a good experience. The place is always busy though which is a catch-22. Its so good people are always here, but that makes it busy pretty much always. Either way, I can deal with that and they usually have the tools and materials I need. Every once in a while I have a tough experience though which is why I cant give a full 5 stars. Sometimes theyre too busy for people to help me find a unique piece or something and I spend 40 minutes searching.... But those are rare times honestly.

By far the worst customer service I have ever received. Employees here are outrageously unhelpful. This is a constant problem with this store. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!I ordered a product and after opening it, parts were missing. I called the store. They told me to come into the store and they would replace it. I didnt have means of transportation and couldnt return. Menards refused to ship a replacement to me and couldnt tell me why. I felt as though my request wasnt unreasonable, after all I paid in full for the product and didnt;t receive it in full. I hope Menards as a company is better than this but this store in Waukesha is not

Experienced and knowledgeable staff with a smile on their faces. Since it’s a private company, the owner cares as much about the customer experience and not just satisfying stockholders.

The staff, especially the cashiers are genuinely friendly and enjoyable to interact with. Its a rare occasion to go here and find an employee who isnt busy working hard, which I think shows the value & integrity of their staff. I highly recommend this Menards to anyone who likes the stores unique products & offerings. The employees here have always been great to me. ⭐👍😊

Sheesh, this place was a Home Depot, Kroger, mall all on crack. Seriously, friendly staff, reasonable prices, great product selection. Fantastic store and location

This is a great Menards if you cant find it anywhere else come to this one, it has a lot of open space very very large Menards I recommend I give a 4 star havent been there enough to rate any higher

Great location. Nice and clean organized. Staff helped me find what I came for fast and promptly. Without fail. Wiped the card reader after every customer used it. Even if they paid cash they still wiped down everything. Well stocked with products. They had plenty of options with a variety of prices.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING TO THIS MENARDS!!

What can I say about Menards..... its a good place to go for almost everything from clothes, food, supplies, job site materials and tools. Some of the hand tools they sell Im not real happy.. ..Tool Shop brand to be specific dont impress me. Theyre just too poorly made to be useful. The pliers and adjustable pliers arent even function really. The people that work there are relatively polite and helpful if you can find somebody when you need them. If they had about 12-15% larger staff Id give them five stars.

The Waukesha/Brookfield store is the largest Menards Ive ever seen! Wish we had one that large in Omaha.

Originally purchased just under 4k in cabinets on 8/7/21. I happen to come by last night to make an upgrade and found out that the rep ordered about 90% of the wrong items and added 6 additional skus I didnt request or notice. I spent 2hrs with the contractor and Ben to get this fixed and found out that the original rep made the mistake of not clicking the drop down to pick correct style but also Menards doesnt carry at all. I took a vacation to accommodate the renovation only to have it pushed back further because of lack of oversight. When I went to the returns department I asked for a manager to seek some compensation for time lost, missing additional work and then having to change the entire look of my kitchen. While trying to explain to Kayla my frustration, she pulls out a blue paper, slams it on the counter, says fill it out, follow instructions and see IF corporate will do something as she would not. At this point Im irate as the Assist. Manager literally wrote me off so I ask for the GM, she walks away when she calls him and I cant hear what shes saying at this point. As Mike comes, Kayla stays in which I asked her to leave as there was no reason for her to be there since she wrote me off, she rolls her eyes walks away. While Im telling Mike the issue he places blame on the contractor and I saying you gave her the numbers. Sir, we gave him the numbers but it still requires your rep to click the drop down. He proceeded to become defensive and I asked him how would it feel if it were him and he had to miss additional time, was wrote off by the assistant manager and now being told by the GM the customer was wrong. He laughed, I then said this was F*in ridiculous and he walked off. I came in this morning only to also find out that some kits pieces were missing so I had to come back again to the same location for more.. To spend over 4k cash at a store and being laughed at and wrote off by management was completely embarrassing, inappropriate and literally left to hear back from corporate. Im more upset about the principal that I was mistreated like this without me even becoming belligerent, nor did I yell. The lack of accountability, empathy, and follow through was completely dissapointing. Definitely do not recommend this store for anyone including contractors. Im a minority woman and I work extremely hard. Ive had interesting situations occur but never being this mistreated and doubt they would be as calm as I was if the roles were reversed.

Staff is helpful if you need help finding something or advice on your home repairs. Would recommend this place for home repairs and renovations. Also they offer rebates for your purchases.

Menards has everything you need for small home repair and remodeling to building your own house. Today I came in to get some wood and things for a shelf project I am working on. They had everything I needed.

Found everything easily and what I couldnt find the staff was knowledgeable

No power today (lights) backup generator working but no lights. Interesting shopping in the dark using my phone to search for products.

Went here today the women who helped us in the gardening area was really nice as was the building department people. Cashier was friendly. However Erik in the yard was unbelievably rude and aggressive. He hit our truck with a sheet of plywood and just kept walking by. When we brought it up he started yelling at us and even swearing at us which made it worse. If he would of just been apologetic it wouldnt have been that big of a problem but he just starts blaming us for being there (we where stopped and he walked by us with the sheet). Then the other yard worker started to give us attuide as well and tried to blame us. I have been going here for years and the employees inside are okay to great(we all have off days). However the yard employees have been going down hill for awhile but this is a whole new level.

This is one of my favorite Menards.Everyone is super helpful and knows a bunch.2 gigantic floors that every do it yourselfer can get lost in.

What can I say, Menards has been the same for years. You cant find anything. Including help. Its not because they dont have enough people working there. Its because theyre usually off in a corner talking to each other instead of helping customers. Youre lucky if a checker says hello or thank you. Ive been trying to find an item thats been out of stock for a long time. Out of about 10 different employees Ive asked at different locations, Ive gotten 10 completely different stories. Instead of someone actually taking the time to find the correct answer, each one makes up a story. Then goes back to chatting with their coworker.

By far the best Menards in southeast Wisonsin. It’s huge with two floors, two elevators and the longest slowest people movers in the world. But seriously, the wood is always in great shape, well stocked and clean. . I’ve spent time sorting through the junk at the other Menards only to come home empty handed. Then I go here and they have it. And they have a great selection of all the other DIY stuff and more.

Here is why a one star. I searched for an item. The app says it’s on sale and implies it’s in the store. Can’t find it. Service desk says discontinued. You wasted my time and money John Menard!

On June 4th about noon my wife and I pushed a load of mulch and bark nuggets to our car. Each bag weighed about 50 pounds and we had six bags total. Midway through both of us loading a Menards employee, tall and slender with beard and wearing a ballcap, came over and offered to life the other bags. We thanked him, but continued. We realized immediately he was on his break, standing in the buildings shade on a hot day. Yet, he came over to help two seniors. Thats an attitude that should be praised.

Very cool store with multiple levels and just about anything you could think of for home maintenance and repair. Would return again :)

This location is laid out nicely, its easy to find what youre looking for and theres plenty of help around if you need assistance.

We were looking for a trellis, a tall one. We found two that could be stacked at a very good price to overlap and give us an over 6 feet trellis.

Always a go to place for my home projects. I can easily find what I need and staff are friendly and helpful. Store is clean and rarely out of what I need.

I purchased a set of wire shelves, the last set. I should have known something was wrong because of the way it was taped. After getting it home to assemble, I discovered it was missing parts. I am mad that they put this back on the shelves, after somebody else returned it. Though, the girl at the return counter was very nice and sympathetic.

I love their price points on most everything - their k-cup pricing is awesome. Staff is always so helpful and friendly. Today was just a coffee and snack purchase day.

Great place with wide selections but I have been finding many empty items (not the popular seasonal products, random things such as screws/washers, nozzles, etc) within the last year. Staff has always been helpful and I enjoy shopping here.

Went to Menards in Waukesha today Dec 10,2020 at 6:00am. Am 81 years old and I wanted to avoid crowds because of the virus. Needed a shelving that was on sales. A sales lady in that dept. was extremely helpful. She help me find my item which weight 120 lbs. She got an associate to get a cart. loaded it for me and she even pushed the cart all the way through the store to a register. The woman at the register thanked me for my military service (was wearing an Army hat) and then called to have 2 associates load it into my car, Greet friendly service all around. Made my day!

Nice to be able to pick up online orders at the outside pickup door in back. Visit the driveup guard booth on the side of the store. If there are items you need to self select from the yard they can be difficult to find and its hard to find someone to help. I was sent to 2 different places before finding my fence post. If not for that I would give 5 stars.

Beware of the sales,This rating is based solely on the experience of Menards brand of “savings”. I really like this store because I’m confident I can find what I’m looking for a good price. But, their current in-store credit savings program leaves a sour taste. Some sales will lead you to believe you are saving money at the time (especially the current 11% savings program), but you are not because they own your money, regardless, in the form of in-store credit coupons. This isn’t money you get to save for something else, somewhere else. This past summer we sent in our receipts for the 11% savings program. This was THE first and only time we’ve done this AND WE HAVE YET TO SEE THIS “MONEY”. We’ve contacted Menards only to be told there is a backlog. We are at the end of November, approaching the latter end of 6 months. I still go to Menards, but I assess my purchases with a greater importance, when it comes to where I can save money.Side note: this store has a good population of employees who cannot help you and some who hate being there doing their job of “helping people “.

So I brought my son here and he wasnt wearing a mask. One of the individuals at the store said hey kid you need to be wearing a mask... to which my son said I have a health condition, to which this woman said It doesnt matter you are going to have to get out of the store.... ok... thats rude.... if your staff are going to make corrections they can at least have some tact and be respectful. And yes! It does matter that he has a condition. I just left and went across the street to home depot.

They have an 11% sale going on so I purchased a recliner & 2 garage door openers. Saved about$140 so we are happy.

Had to fix an order at menards for my parents. They helped me out by ordering the materials for a small deck on their house online for curbside pick up. I find out they go there and only have the hardware for pick up, then they send 2 elderly people into the lumberyard to pick their own after they had asked for assistance. They finally get some help and the order gets read wrong. I go the next day too exchange the boards and let the manager know that was terrible service and I lost a fair amount of money to go and fix this instead of working. Then I go back to the lumberyard myself to pick up the items I already paid for. Guess what,... There wasnt any in stock!!! Back to the front door for a refund. 2 hours later I come out of the store empty handed. 15 minutes later I had everything I needed from home depot across the street. Menards is off my list, no more shopping there! Only giving one star cause this wont post with no stars.

Requires masks but does not provide them. I was literally chased down in this store and told to put a mask on. When I asked for one I was told I had to purchase one up front for $.41cents or i had to leave. Are you kidding me. Instead of purchasing what I came for I left eveything in the cart and left. I will not patronize a business like this. You vote with every dollar you spend i do not support this type of communist business.

Um.. Ill have to said...they must not see different cultures shopping there before. Im Asian and there were lots of folks eyeing me every step I make. What do I matter to you!!! John Menard needs to improve the quality of store managers he hires and the quality of the training they receive in dealing with the public. The situation involving a DISABLED veteran, with a certified service dog, at the Johnson Creek over an inconsequential corona mask is completely unacceptable. NO EXCUSES ! ! ! I will be taking my business across the street to the other home centers for a long, long time.

Terrible customer service today. The Pro desk employee was rude and very short with us. I walked by another employee. We made eye contact and I clearly stated “hello, how are you doing?”. With nobody else around, he just stood there and ignored me. I am not sure what was going on in Menards, but the service and attitudes were horrible. The one star I do give is for the guy at the lumber yard gate. He was at least a little cordial. I will definitely try Home Depot first on my next trip out.

They dont carry the furnace filters we need but I did find good prices on other home diy project items.

Every time I buy carpet and ask to have it ready for pick up the following day its never ready. Funny loading materials in the loading area and have multiple employees watching and not one asking if you need any help. Very few even know anything about the department they work in.

Mask nazis. Was approached by several employees (two of which were literally just standing around monitoring mask usage by customers) who demanded I wear a mask. They said they dont care that I have a medical condition. Not once did a single employee ask me if I needed help finding anything. What has this world come to?? #masksdontwork

Online ordered chairs, 2 of the 3 chairs were damaged, only offered a 10% discount on them, fine I can deal with that although I know other stores would have offered more. Manager that was helping the customer service person seemed to rush and belittle her as she was processing the credit.

Store personel were helpful and I found the stuff I needed rather easily. Problem was that they didnt have a station to disinfect shopping carts or supply hand sanitizer to the public.

Extremely rude staff. I got followed around the store for not wearing a mask. Then the gentleman proceeds to tattle on me to his manager the moment I bring my items to the counter. Went to home depot accross the street and bought my items np without a mask. Menards have better prices than Home depot + the 11% discount. Now with every week of 11% discount my rebates took longer, but I did received them. Once you receive the rebates you can shop with them and get 11% discount additional, yay

Overall, one of the best Menards in the state. Large size lends itself to larger inventory than a regular Home Depot or Menards. The escalators seem to break down often. The only negative I can think of.

Lumber yard customer service was not acceptable... Went to the Waukesha, WI Menards to get some lumber. There were 3 employees in the back next to the circular saw. I was with my father in law with a heart condition. We were struggling with moving the lumber to a circular saw to cut and none of the employees even asked if we needed help. In fact, the only thing they asked is if I was looking for a particular wood (of someone elses order I presume) and at no point did they even help point me to the specific wood I told him we were looking for. When I put the first board on to be cut I asked if one of them had a pen or pencil. One guy snapped back No! as if I was bothering him as he pulled out a bag of chips and began eating. The second employee gave me a pen so at least there was that. The third employee just stood near the fence talking to the other two.

Stopped in there today to buy things and I was informed I must wear a mask to enter their store. I informed the lady that I can not wear a mask due to a medical condition and still was denied entry. I am not sick and have been tested for covid. Needless to say I went right across the street to home depot and they did not require masks to be worn. I can see if it is a statewide mandate but it is not. Lost a customer.

Customer service is very helpful in letting me exchange my paint for chalk paint. A little disappointed because they dont have the full selection of chalk paint colors.
