Who designs this stuff? I have a few Superior cranes and all are problems. Who thought you could support a 15 ton crane drum with an un-supported cast iron pillow block bearing. Take a look at the attached pictures. This bearing needs a metal plate or block under the bearing. The bearing is just cast iron and is holding 15-ton load plus a 25 HP motor and gearbox. This is a Superior crane design right out of there back garage. This design WILL kill someone when it breaks, and it did break. Luckily we caught it in time. My factory will be closed for 4-days waiting on parts and repair. This will cost me $750k or more.

My company has dealt with Superior for 20+ years. They are always very professional, are outstanding communicators, and have excellent quality products that they stand behind. I think what we enjoy most is the relationships we have made over the years. Lloyd and Joy in particular are wonderful to work with. I cant think of anything negative to say about Superior. We are happy to continue our relationship with them for years to come.
