This Is our first time trying the Wild Carrot LLC in Waverly Iowa. We went with the ham cheese and broccoli quiche and the lasagna soup of the day! I also got a side of potato salad and coleslaw. The coleslaw is delicious! I loved the craisins. I was really regretting not getting a piece of their pie of the day or cake! When we went in they were packaging up pieces to go and they looked absolutely delicious! So much more than a little restaurant its a beautiful gift store.

This little spot is packed with special goods found only in Iowa, many artfully being made by them. I enjoy a bit of shopping while my food is being prepared. They make wonderful breakfast foods, soups and a delicious cheese sandwich!

Excellent food, excellent service. Unique ambience

We ate at this restaurant in July 2021. It is a small and quaint place with a lot of atmosphere. The food and service were great. Our server, RaeAnn, was friendly and did an outstanding job. The place is not spread out so be prepared to have close neighbors. We highly recommend this place.

Great food and store merchandise. The owner was very friendly and the servers are attentive and helpful. If I could, I’d go everyday for lunch!

Chicken salad was excellent. Wonderful bread! Need to add tomato 🍅. Ham and Bean soup was best ever....no kidding! Chicken on the salad wasnt great.

This place is sort of like a knick-knack store that crammed in an eatery. The food is good, and the service is great. However, they really cram you in there next to everyone else - to the point that you cant really back your chair up without bumping into other tables/people. If youre not into personal space, and dont mind having to walk through a knick-knack store to get some food, then this is the place for you.

First time here and loved it! Very unique and fun place. So impressive from the menu to shopping for one-of-a-kind gifts. And, the coffee is outstanding!

Wonderful! you walk in through the main street and you enter their shop filled with loads of handmade items, treats, coffee. it is just wonderful. if you walk in through the back youre directly in the dining area for the restaurant. both entrances are ok to come in from. I did have to wait quite some time for a server to come take my order (10 minutes with one other party in the room and they already had been served) but it was worth the wait to be honest. I peered over to their food and it looked great. the hot chocolate is great, the coffee is delicious, our sandwiches were spot on! I look forward to trying them again. Only 4 stars because of the wait time it took to get asked if I needed water. I get impatient. :)

Best cinnamon roll Ive ever had!

Strawberry side salad had one strawberry and one blueberry. That doesnt fit the description.

This is a cute little cafe with the most delicious food! Sausage bisquits and Gravy is amazing!

These peope are terrific. They take time to talk, if you want. They are in no hurry to rush you along. They have really gone all it for Christmas, even during the pandemic.Great food, great store, great service! Hometown feel.

Awesome little shop and dinner

The atmosphere is super cozy and the service was incredible! our server, long brown wavy hair and cute pink circular glasses, was so sweet. it was very obvious she enjoyed working there very much. the Zuppa soup is some of the best soup Ive ever had. we will be returning in the near future!

WONDERFUL FOOD, CUTE SHOP! Seriously the best cafe food in town. I have never tried something I didnt like, EVERYTHING IS DELICIOUS! A must try is always the Wild Carrot Soup! YUM! The shop is so cute, it is full of cute home decor, yummy coffee mixes, wine, and so much more. I would highly recommend the Wild Carrot!

If you aren’t a fan of Carrot...eat any of the desserts with chocolate. You can’t go wrong!!Don’t leave without eating the Carrot Soup. It’s the best! Truly the best!! I would drive a million miles for the Carrot Soup. Yum!!Because this amazing place has a gift shop area to enjoy also-come to eat, converse and take your time! This is NOT a quick, hurry through, fast food type of place. It’s meant to be enjoyed and you can taste the effort put into the food you eat. It’s all homemade and scrumptious!

Crazy, wicked fresh food in Waverly!! I’ve lived here 3 years and have made the mistake of not coming sooner (I have little kids, work a lot, etc. in fairness). My salad was so refreshing with strawberries, great chicken, candies pecans... And then the carrot soup! ❤️ Service was fast, great. And I enjoy shopping while I wait and after. Amazing gem in the heart of Waverly!

This is a MUST stop in Waverly, IA. The food was AMAZING, service was incredible, and the owners are very appreciative of your business! We ordered the omelet and french toast, and neither one of us could finish our meals (thats how big their portions are!). Will definitely be stopping by again next time we are in town!

When in Waverly a must stop. Food is fabulous and a cute little shop.

I’m sure the food would have been good if we had ever been waited on. Told to pick our table we waited and waited for menus. Staff walked by but ever acknowledged us. After others came and received service we left. Maybe you have to be a local. We drove in off highway.

The food here is amazing. Hearty, simple and healthy all in a historical building with the old jewelry cases and hardwood floors worn down soft but nevertheless beautifully maintained.My quiche was the best Ive ever had. Not too eggy or too cheesy. Lots of hearty veggies loaded in with just the right amount of egg and cheese to hold it together. My husbands omelet was amazing. Too much for him to tackle but very tasty and filled with midwestern goodness. (Meat, cheese, and some veggies)Loved this place!
