The new Wayne Hills ShopRite is no Wegman’s, but it’s a welcome improvement over the old location.Parking is plentiful, and a new fleet of carts replaces those miserable old quarter-locked monsters. The store interior is vast and bright. A high industrial ceiling, concrete floors, and wider pathways make it feel like a Costco-flavored ShopRite. I was happy to see hot and cold ready-to-eat meals by the entrance, but I was hoping for a more expansive bakery. All in all, it’s a higher-capacity version of the old store in a shiny new home.
Im happy even tho I havent visited the store yet. The location is excellent for me very convenient. I know they just opened so I will give them time to fully get in the swing of things and hopefully have a full stocked store. Im looking forward to shopping at this location soon. Now if one can open in Elmwood Park where k-mart use to be that be even better.
ShopRite is Ok but I prefer Lincoln Park ShopRite. Decent dollar store but most stuff is over a dollar. Still some very good buys. Stuff you cant find in other places. Like the Dollar store better than the ShopRite!
Gorgeous store in a great location. Well worth the wait!
Customer service seems better at this location however they didn’t have baggers. The other ShopRite’s have baggers but this location seems to be allergic from them. Now I can’t believe they spent all that time and money and don’t have a real HOT FOODS Buffet. Little falls was just remodeled and they have a huge selection. They are a minimum of 15 full trays of hot food alone. There is no sandwich station either which means u have to purchase the pre-made sandwich’s they get sent in.I left the house And saw in the flyer pumpkin Streusel muffins advertised which I was ready to purchase however when I went and looked through the bakery three different times not one was to be seen. They had plenty of the other stuff but none of those. All in all, it’s a small step up from the rat hole they had before. If you ask me I don’t think they will take this review seriously. The sad part is these issues isn’t Shoprite’s fault, the real problem is the franchise itself Inserra. Needless to say I won’t be here much or maybe at all. I’ll drive the 30min to Little falls since they have always had it right. The Little falls location is what Inserra should have turned the Wayne location into even though it’s a different franchise.
It was pathetic. The shelves are bare there is hardly anything in stock. Partly due to the impending move and probably due to shipping shortages and delays. I dont know why they want to move closer to stop and shop and they say the new location will be inovative but I wonder if it will be worth the wait. Time will tell
Not much on shelves.. Dont waste your time..
Shop rite of little falls has much more including gluten free
Owner: PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE OLDER GENTLEMEN CONSTANTLY PLAYING WITH THE CARTS OUTSIDE. HE HOARDS THEM AND ASKS YOU FOR QUARTERS TO HAVE ONE. IT ISNT A GOOD LOOK.
Good customer service. Let me exchange a bad meat purchase even though it was from another Shoprite. I just wish it were more aesthetically pleasing, but we will have that soon enough when the new location opens.
Well the guy at the self checking was Very helpful with my items I dont know like fruit and vegetables.. no complaints
Nice place the lady in the fish department is so helpful 👌 and nice
Nice store with lots of selection but needs an update.
I walked in looking for a specific item and found it immediately. While shopping I came across pineapples priced at98 cents each! Naturally I purchased 2.This Shop Rite is not only loaded with merchandise but it is extremely clean, neat and products well placed. Also, the prices are excellent.
This place is closed. Theres a new Wayne that has opened up.
You can find almost everything. Good prices and smiley store employees.
I called and asked what time the deli was open until tonight and the woman said 9:00. I got there at 7:30 and there was a sign that said sorry we are closed. I guess people that work there can’t tell time. So I tell the deli worker I called and asked what time they were open and it’s not 9:00. She was going to ask her manager. The manager, a guy and the woman were all arguing over who was going to help me. I said forget it. I don’t need anything and walked away. Stop and shop here I come. Shop rite can go scratch.
This store is moving to a new location, so the availability of the products are severely limited. You might not be able to find what youre looking for.
I try not to go to this ShopRite unless for small essentials… between the subpar selections they have on the shelves and the ice build up in the freezer section, it makes it seem management does not care about store appearance or quality. Granted they are moving soon, I would still choose to drive out of my way to the little falls ShopRite then here
Great place for shopping. Especially when the prices are reasonable.
Love the self checkout option
I’ve been to there shoprites. This one was different.
Easy in, easy out. I did not require any assistance, and used self checkout, so I can not really comment on the customer service.
Overpriced dirty. Short staffed wouldn’t go back there on a bet
Very spacious and organized. You know exactly where to locate what you need. Associates are friendly and and helpful.
I love this shopRite, the location, the way they keep their inventory! I always find what I need.
Great place to work and shop
Shelves empty nothing in stock hard to shop there lately
So I live 5 minutes from this store however I only come here if I am short on time. The reason I dont come here is simple. Many of the employees here dont care about doing a decent job or even care about appearing to do a decent job. I was at that store today for example and at the deli/seafood area there were four people standing around while one person on the deli side was trying to get their attention for some help. Actually, one person wasnt standing she was sitting and she was not wearing her mask and she was reading a magazine. The customer did get her attention and she responded to the customer Be right there and went back to reading the magazine for 3 minutes. Meanwhile the other people saw her and didnt even go over to help the customer. There was one saving grace today. The produce guy was very helpful and knowledgeable.
Very nice shopping experience. A manger, I think his name was Nick, was helpful and courteous when I asked for help
New shoprite building, delivered loadLocation near burger King next to BurlingtonDocks behind Burlington
I love this shop rite and hopefully I can work for them one-day......
Very courteous employees and well stocked.
There are several favorite items that I purchased in the past that seem to no longer be available.I dont know if its an inventory problem at this store or some other issue.
Wasnt very clean, fruit and vegetables was not fresh.
I love this place. Friendly people . Nice environment
06/30/2021 9:10pm customer service 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Rude blondes
I havent been here in a while and appreciate the openness of the storee layout.
I shop here out of convenience because its close to my parents home, but I find the staff her not very helpful when needed. The produce and meat department looks fairly decent and fresh.
The pharmacy department is amazing. They really care about rhe customers. They always go above and beyond to make sure i am taken care of. Answer all my questions and never make me feel rushed. Thank you Judy and Jackie.
Kind of a low end location. Lots of items but not well organized. A twin to what corrados had vecome. Will be much improved when newvstore opens up
This shoprite is a disaster. Shelves empty, workers slow an rude. Store is dirty. Management should be shown the door quickly. When the close this store they need a completely new team from the top down.
I shopped this morning during your special senior hour of 7 am to 8 am. During the entire time the speakers kept saying how you care about seniors and shoppers with special needs. However, the shelves were empty of just about all sale items and the produce isles had not been restocked (3 heads of lettuce, 5 cucumbers, no tomatoes on the vine, etc.) I overheard a woman ask about the tomatoes and she was told that they are in the back and would be out later. Before I checked out I went to the customer service counter to inquire where all the sale items were and when the shelves would be restocked. I was told that she didnt know when items would be put on shelves. I asked for a store manager and was told that there was none in the store and that he starts at 10 am. I guess that explains the stores condition: the workers dont start working until close to 10 am when the boss arrives.ShopRite should be ashamed of the way they exploit Senior and special needs hours in their website and advertising and yet treats them like second class customers. If you are going to have special hours, have them with restocked shelves on those days. Plus, who ever heard of a store where there is no manager, or at least someone in charge at all times. All of this goes against your words that you care since your actions speak louder than your words.
06/30/2021 9:10-9-15 customer service 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Rude Behavior and Bad Attitudes !!! Thank you!
I cant wait for the new one to be built! This place is really run down and it alway smells.
Nice! Yummy cupcakes
Its good. They implemented social distances measurements in every cashier and there is a person making sure that people follow those guidances.
ShopRite of Wayne, Hamburg Turnpike is my choice because of the great customer service. Whether at the customer service counter, employees on the floor and cashier are all nice and happy to answer any questions in need.
For some reason, this shop rite seems more spacious. Not larger than others just feels like theres more room to navigate. Parking is reasonable too, not like the nightmare in little falls.
This location is an older model ShopRite that you can clearly see needs a bit of modern. The parking lot here however is an ample bit of real estate able to fit many vehicles. The location here is a large ShopRite and it has many of the other amenities that their stores have, but once again it could use a remodel. After all, for a store that sells food, you really want to overachieve your cleanliness and not just barely show a functioning store. Our visit here was a late one in the evening and we would also say that whoever was on the PA system should not be on the PA system as her voice was extremely loud and sounded awful. That definitely seems like a weird thing to say in a review but if you heard this voice you would understand! As anyone knows you put your best people working the jobs that are best at and this was clearly not a good match. The carts here also require a quarter so remember to bring one. Some may find that to annoying and item to have nowadays, but we dont think its a problem. As you only need to bring your cart back to get your quarterback.
Great place to take my time and do my shopping without rushing and I was able to get everything I needed... Except Lysol!
Lazy and rude sales associates do not enforce the mask rule or the one way aisle rule. Do not feel safe in this store.
Perfect ShopRite on the larger side. Lines can be decent, busy, or good depending on the day and time. Shoppers tend to snap up sales so go early or ask for rain checks.
Very unreasonable organization, behind the store there is multiple dumping sites and when I complain, the store manger is very proud that he knows about the problems for years, but he just renting the place not owning it so it not his problem. And they are accepting to work while this happening in their backyard, SHAME!!
I went on a Saturday evening, and this store still had all but one of the specials! The employees were great at the checkout ... very respectable teenagers. Shop Rite has great specials and general prices.
The worst self check-out in the world lol, every item needed a cashier to help so try buying over 300$ of groceries. Prices are great but the 20 mins to try to self check-out because they removed 4-6 cashiers to add the self check-out
Store is nice, big, good sales but why do I need to use a quarter for a shopping cart?
Not a big fan of this location. They are never stocked and way understaffed. Do not go there first of the month, when people get there EBT card refilled they take all the good stuff since its tax payers money paying for it.
Nice clean and quick service
Its a decent store. Its fairly clean and organized, but as usual, doesnt have enough cashiers. The building is older and needing some remodeling.
Meh!!! Its just ok. I go here only because it is close to my house. No self checkout and the parking lot is a nightmare. Go to Stop and Shop if you want to avoid long lines. Positive - they have a good deli selection.
Rude Behavior and Bad Attitudes !!!
Sorry to say but this is my least favorite ShopRite in the area. I had a bad experience with the shop from home service the first time using it at this location. I ordered at least 24 hours in advance and received a confirmation for my request. I opted to pick up the groceries after work. When I got to the location, the worker indicated that they didnt even start my order yet. What is the point of offering a service if it isnt going to be handled according to the shoppers expectations? In addition, at the very least I would have appreciated an email or phone call to advise that the order would be delayed. Its understandable that delays happen if people call or or whatnot. It was a complete waste of time and gas traveling to the location. I would not recommend this location nor this service here. Although this is the closest supermarket to my job, I will be going elsewhere.
Decent ShopRite location that has a little bit of an odd aisle layout and a 25 cent deposit on the carts but still has great prices and hours of operation
Building is old and the food is expensive
Ok
No lines or crowds. Fully stocked
Always a great selection and the best prices of any supermarket chain. Always kept clean and well stocked. Speedy cashiers and deli associates, and helpful associates on the floor as well. Location is easy to get to.
Clean, well stocked store!
Getting better but still missing a lot products but over all good takes time
They had what I needed at a great price
Great super market. Great sales, friendly employees. Very helpful. Favorite place to shop and save on groceries.
Great service helped when ever we asked
I wanted to give it 5 stars, but, the deli section is grossly understaffed during peak hours. They should put in a more complete grab and go type system that other S.R. use. Despite that, overall, its a great S.R.
They are great here! Store can use an update but the team is very helpful.
God bless them.
This place is the worst the deli is horrible everyone walks around acting like they are busy and theres like 10 customers waiting
Always have to wait. Lines that have ten or less items have people with 15 to 20 items. The customer service desk has people with a large order checking out there. Not the best Shop Rite I ever been to!! Love Lincoln Park store!!!
Always find my articles and always have specials on much of the items, plenty of parking and cashiers are always available short lines on checkouts great customer service.
Good selection. Fresh food well kept stock. Will come here again
A bit of a hectic store. But selection is great. Customer service is great.
Its a supermarket that has a large variety of food products with good sale prices. Its also a large place, so when your pantry and refrigerator need to be refilled prepare to spend some time shopping for your groceries.
OK store not a bad place to shop limited produce no butcher for select Meats
Went to buy a turkey the Sunday before Thanksgiving, hardly any turkeys out. Everyone was complaining. Went to buy a national brand of sour cream, all the containers were past their expiration date. Bought a package of chicken cutlets on Monday, had to bring back because they smelled horrible. Back on Tuesday for eggs, only Shop-Rite eggs, no other brands. I hate this store. Its always poorly stocked, they dont monitor items for expiration dates and the sale items are never in stock. It is the unfriendliest place to shop. They need new management here. Maybe then the employees would look like they dont hate to work here and store shelves would be better stocked in a more timely fashion. Thank goodness we have Trader Joes in town. It absolutely puts this place to shame.
Not so big as the parsippany one but decent size and has pretty much all groceries you would need. Would recommend to anyone.
Despite the number of supermarkets in the area, this is truly the only super supermarket. This ShopRite has everything! And even when our local ShopRite in Lincoln Park fell short in the things we were searching for, Wayne ShopRite had it.Because the store is so large, lines at the checkout can be quite long. But management here has done a good job, with people at the courtesy desk often pitching in to shorten the express lines.Good job, ShopRite!
Good time to go
Great selection and the staff is helpful. Butcher explained that the chopped meat is made fresh daily and does not stay in the case. Cashier was friendly. Really enjoyed shopping here.
Best pharmacy staff in the world. They always have the answers to your questions. Thanks for being there for me.😀😍🎵🎗️🐱
Amazing people work there. Have always found what I need. They have helped me with a lot of catering as well
Pretty dirty. Good selection of natural and organic foods though. Good customer service.
Most of sale items not on shelf, frozen food cashier not nice buchers forget it
I go out of my way to travel to this Shoprite. The quality of food is good and if I have any issues with my allergies, they do not have any issues exchanging it for me. Customer service is helpful. The people that work at the registers are nice!
This place was fine but Im not used to going to the ShopRite Im used to going to another one and I didnt know what anything is plus I had to make sure I had a quarter to get the cart where I usually shop you dont need a quarter
