10/13/21Idk about other games stops around but the one in Weatherford Texas near main st right by Starbucks is honestly pretty great. Friendly staff. Ive been in there a couple times and bought skyward sword and the guy that was at the counter was friendly with everyone talking about the games and just a huge fan of video games like he knew alot bout games he watched or played. Very nice and helps you out to lower the price on ur games. The other time I went in I was looking to buy a new Nintendo switch and she was very helpful opening the used switches to see what type they were cause they only other so she opened everyone and as much as I wanted an animal crossing Nintendo switch I just decided to buy one of the new switches. She was very friendly and these people go out of their way to help you out no matter how big the ask is. This is a game stop Id recommend. Trade prices are amazing and the only downfall is that they dont trade super old consoles or games the oldest theyll do is 3Ds or PS3 games from what I was told. I traded in a Gameboy game cartridge for $5 so yeah not the greatest but yeah if you look on the app and do the math it helps your trade experience. But yeah anyways this is a good game stop very friendly. I dont see it as a problem unless you actually come in expecting something they dont have cause really all they have is what they have in the store. I dont see any problems with this GameStop I think its customers that come in looking for a fight that are always angry or impatient or doesnt know how trade prices work ruin the GameStop. Just glad this GameStop hasnt gotten hit with that. Very quiet and friendly here. I enjoyed my times in Weatherford Texas game stop.

Website shows one price in store has another. Everyone else was selling it at the online price only reason I still use GameStop is because Apes strong together and diamond hands

I called to ask one of the biggest questions of the season. “Do you know if your getting anymore PS5’s before Christmas??” I thought that they would just say no and laugh at me!! But they didn’t! Instead I was caught off guard of how nice the person was! Thanks GameStop! Your Weatherford store is top notch!!

They have a 13 customer limit but only let in 5 people. Left the rest of us standing out in the cold basically for no reason. Only 1 cash register open when they had 2-3 employees. Not efficient or caring. Not sure if I will go back to the Weatherford location.

Awesome experience, the guy behind the counter. Had a good amount of knowledge of kids videos games and showed me a good one my son would like. And then found me a controller for myself.

Weird very liberal staff. They never have what u want, even on preorders, sign on door says 13 people max, they only allow 5 then make the rest stand outside in the weather.Never have new releases on release day unless it’s a system, even then they are very very limited.Then of course everyone knows the GameStop way, trade in a game for a $3 credit so they can sell it for $30.Internet sales are going to take this place straight out of business.

Not the biggest selection and the prices are kinda extreme but its a nice atmosphere for geeks and needs of all shapes and sizes like me

Usually I have never had an issue with this location. But today, from 0945hrs to 1240hrs I have tried to call 9 times. It rings three times then hangs up. Thank you, luckily Game haven had what I needed for my son and I will be picking it up from them. I would have preferred to do business with game stop but thats hard to do when you will not pick up your phone.

Other than it feeling crowded, as its a small store, theyre pretty good. The employees always try to find what customers are looking for and are friendly. 4*s as it is a little crowded from all the merchandise.

All I can say is NICK, that guy the MARINEknows how too run the store and help people at the same time in this pandemic. By himself at that. Great guy to have done business with. GAMESTOP!!!!!

Selection was ok for most consoles, prices were ok but some things were ridiculously overpriced. Customer service though..👎

The staff were very patient. My transaction, normally brief and still professional, took longer than expected. There was an issue with Gamestop as a whole mostly. There was a store deal on my transaction, and because of that I could not use a reward certificate I had redeemed online. I thought it was silly and had to compromise on my purchase because of it but everything that I came in the store for worked fine with a few different variations of my transaction. The staff tonight were once again, very patient and willing to help to also figure out the problem with my transaction. As long as you understand Gamestop is a company and this review is for this location mostly trying to state how helpful the staff is. I very much recommend this Gamestop.

Gave me fair price for my old games

Due to the social distancing mandate they only allow 5 customers in store. I waited outside for 15 minutes while the clerk talked to a man with 3 kids. These kids were touching everything. When I finally did get to go inside the clerk took another ten minutes per customer. Just making bogus conversation. If youre not there to personally pay I dont believe you should be in there wasting space and spreading germs

Called twice and both times was put on hold for 30 mins at a time with no one coming back to answer my question

I love this place as it has a wall of different funko pops for whatever kind you like and of course, lots of games

This game stop has always been my favorite since it was built, staff always has great knowledge of the all products, they are honest when you ask about a game (well most of them there is one guy that could leave and it would make me smile). Over the years made friends there seen them come and go but the quality of the store stays at a 10 out of 10. Always clean, friendly organized attentive to your needs not just trying to get a daily sale. (Execpt for that one guy hes also passive aggressive and cant take a joke that not even offending to anything) anyways its always been great over the years minus -that one guy nothings perfect right.

Great customer service. Me and my two sons got there 30 minutes before closing and they were so helpful with what games my boys needed for their ages. Even sat on the floor with me to watch videos on games we didnt know what they were. And when we were checking out my 4 year old was getting restless so while I was checking out the man was showing him how to make hand puppets so I could check out. We will be back soon for more games!!!

The store has no a/c and most of the products are not priced. The staff is not very friendly. Would not recommend this Game Stop.

The Store Manager, Ben is a great guy. If you ever do have an issue just talk to him and he will do whatever he can to make it right. Also please call him Ben Jammin.

They dont usually pester me about pre ordering something, which is good. They have before and thats just their job. Love the place, been going for years.

This place is usually fine and the staff is friendly but today I watched as 7 other customers and myself arrived and left disappointed because they were not open on time. I understand that sometimes this happens but at least put a sign on the door letting the community know why you arent open during your normal hours of business.

Man what to say this place use to be really good back when Kevin, elisha, Brian and Chris and the rest of the old crew was here they made you want to come back everytime. Nowadays not so much, now dont get me wrong the team there are still professional they just dont have the spark, charisma and personality that I think a game store requires.

Very helpful employee got me what I needed to get two systems back up and running after power surge. In comparison, our local Gamestop had very little interest in helping. Had to drive more than an hour to get there.

So much different merchandise, from gaming to anime. Any game can be requested if they dont have it on their shelf already, as it is an impressive listing. T-shirts and mugs, cosplay and board games, and so much more. Definitely a place to stop in, even if you dont call yourself a gamer.

Awesome staff know what they are talking about and everytime I ask for a recommendation on a game they almost always pick a game I loved. Been going here for several years and Ill be going for several more. Love this location.

Bought a game Sunday the 17th of September and didnt like it. So I returned it today Tuesday the 20th of September and they want to give me a $9.00 store credit for an item I paid $29.00 for. The rude employees told me that they cant give me full credit because it is new. I never asked for a new game. And how is it new when they use the same case I pulled off the shelf and pull the new game out of a sleeve. Im about done with the rude customer service at this location. The employees used to be cool and nice, not anymore. You know whats sad? Ill write this review and nothing will be done about it.

This is my local GameStop. I would rather drive to Granbury or FW to go to a GameStop, if at all. Every time I have come into the store, the staff is not friendly, nor knowledgeable or helpful. A customer should not know more than the sales associate regarding GameStop’s Specials. And a customer should not be correcting them in regards to what product they should be receiving. I went into the store to pre-order a game which offered a free hat, I knew before I came in. And after making my order, walking to my vehicle, checking online to confirm this. I went back inside and waited 40 minutes behind one customer when there were 2 sales associates to get the hat of the game I pre-ordered. Then when I asked for my refund, they told me I could only do cash (no big deal) but didn’t have enough money in the drawer. So they had to draw out from 3 registers (another 10 minutes) enough cash to refund me. When I inquired as to why I didn’t receive said product, “we only got 5 in and haven’t got anymore”....sorry you need to inform your customers. Or you’re going to have none.

If I could give this less than one star I would. Before I begin my explaination I want to say that I do believe in second chances, my one star review is not based on one bad experience. It is from multiple, continued, awful experiences. About 2 weeks ago I walked into my local gamestop that I have been exclusively buying games and consoles from for over 20 years. I have likely spent more than $8000 in this store alone. I have loved this place for a long time. Upon walking in I notice two employees covering two registers, one female, the other Male. The female is busing working on something at the computer, the Male is busy with something also, but seems to be much more invested in ignoring the world around him. The female greets me and I notice 4 other shoppers inside. Two off in a corner, and two next to the registers but facing a display case in the opposite direction. I also notice a sign stating that the line starts in the back. Because of this I walk up to the female and ask if there was indeed a line, or if I could walk up to the register from the entrance as I am ready to make a transaction and do not need to look around as the other 4 customers were. Before the female employee can even speak the Male gets visibly frustrated and begins to berate me for not looking at the sign and spends about 5 minute explaining to me why I am stupid. I can only describe it as the tantrum of a manchild. I ignore his belittling of me even as he continues while i am walking to the back, clearly he is dealing with some emotional trauma and is taking it out on me, and rather than engaging I chose to comply and move to the back. His tirade does not end until I have stopped walking to the back. A few moments pass as the two employees go back to what they were doing and I just stand there in the back where the line is supposed to begin. Everyone in the store is looking at this man in disbelief. After about a minute of me standing there he looks up and realizes that neither of them have customers and I am standing there waiting. Instead of realizing his mistake he turns to the female employee and blames her for not telling him there werent any customers, that she had made him look like a jackass. Everyone in the store gets an even more stunned look at his behaviour. I finish my transaction with the female, apologize to her for having to deal with his behaviour and turn to him to say is there a line to get out of the store? Before leaving. I had never been treated so poorly by the staff of a store before. Now there isnt enough room here to type the experience I had today but just know it was just as aweful. If they would like to contact me for further discussion of the matter I welcome it, but they should be aware that I will never be shopping at gamestop again and they have lost an incredibly loyal customer.

The wait line wasnt too bad but we had bo idea what to do when we got there. We paid off our preorder game so far in advance and we were one of the last people to get our game which wasnt cool cause we.are waiting in line for other to pay theirs then. Sp it would of been nice to k ow what to do before getting there
