I bought my road bike from Sun & Ski Sports back in 2009 and have had nothing but great service for the crew there since day one. Picked my bike up yesterday after a seasonal tuneup, only took two days, and my bike is still ridding like new!! Great people and professional service!!

I came in late looking for a particular running shoe. They had it but not in the black I wanted. Debbie was wise and thoughtful to suggest an alternate brand. I was hesitant because I was not familiar with the brand. I work on my feet all day and plantar fasciitis will flare up if I dont wear proper shoes. Debbie assured me that if I was not completely satisfied I could return with no obligation. I am satisfied. I appreciate Debbies thoughtful help. She rocks!

Bought a nice Cannondale bike here for a good price with the features I was looking for. Best selection of bikes of the places I visited considering COVID. Maybe would have been nice to see some other brands to compare with mountain bikes but Im not terribly picky anyways. Sales people were friendly and knowledgeable and didnt try to up sell me which was nice as a sales person I dont like to be treated that way. Overall good experience really just wish they had a little more variety in the 500 to 1000 dollar price point as far as brand.

This shop provided me an absolutely excellent experience. When a bike finally showed up online, in stock and ready to be shipped to the store for assembly I purchased it. Originally I was expecting a long turn around time for the bike to be delivered to my house. The manager, David, contacted me about the bike purchase and wanted to make sure I had the best possible experience as a customer. The turnaround time was significantly shorter thanks to David and his team providing a great service with fantastic customer care. Its hard to believe that a large big box name store could give the Mom and Pop store feeling, but nonetheless I am still blown away two months after purchase and would HIGHLY recommend those in the area looking for a bike shop.

I purchased custom ski boots among many other items for my upcoming trip at this location. I could not have asked for better service from these folks. I have huge awkward feet and DJ and Tom worked for a couple of hours with me personally to ensure I had the best fit possible. Anyone that knows ski boots and has big feet like me knows how stressful something like this can be. It was very evident early on that they are very knowledgeable in this process. If you’re in my situation feel at ease with these guys. I’d recommend them to anyone.

The service I received here is an example of what Customer Service SHOULD look like everywhere! DJ and Jasmine were wonderful company, knew their products, and made getting our skiing attire a smooth and fun process. Highly recommend this store and it’s rockstar staff.

Trying to find information on the best possible bike for myself. The guy I talked to in the phone was in a rush to get me off the phone not trying to help me find what I was looking for. The location at Memorial City mall was much more willing to discuss my possible options and answered all of my questions. I’ll drive a hour out of my way to spend my money with people who actually put forth effort.

Came in today to pick up a online order (bike for my daughter). I ordered the wrong bike. They took care of me ( knew exactly what bike I meant to order) and did the exchange right then and there. Walked out with the bike I wanted with no wait! The level of customer service in this place is exceptional! I believe every employee working spoke to us or at least said hello. Everyone was nice and knowledgeable. We appreciate all the help! Thanks a bunch!

Wonderful helpful staff, we went because my mother was starting working graveyard shift for the company she managers and shes working outside. So we were looking into the womens bib pants. The wonderful lady took us straight to them then helped us figure out what size she would need. And told us the ladies sits slightly lower on the side compared to the mens so if we didnt like the fight dont be ashamed to try the mens. She was so amazingly helpful answering all our questions and super friendly. My brother works overseas in japan korea etc. And its freezing there so hes planning to go tomorrow to get some gear for himself ! Thank you Sun and Ski for amazing people and great supplies!

They took their time with finding the correct bike for me. I’ve been nothing but happy with them since day one. Today really showed their dedication and passion for what they do. Inever felt rushed or like they were just trying to sell me the most expensive bike. They listened to what I was wanting and taught me so much about the bikes. These guys are the real deal and will be 100% honest with you.

This place has great customer service. The bike shop is one of the friendliest in town. They offer a veteran discount which is nice. Always clean and organized.

The staff was friendly and very helpful, but make sure if you buy a bike there that all the bolts are tightened before you leave. Everything on my bike was loose, and I had to go back. They very kindly went through each component and fixed the mistake. In the end, it was a great buying experience, and I would definitely recommend.

After two sweaty hours of trying to put my son’s mountain bike together I arrived today at Sun and Ski frazzled and disheveled! I was told that they were booked solid in the repair area but that I could leave the bike and pick it up in six days. I said ok and told them I’d just have to take the bike back home and try to figure it out. Next thing I know DAVE MATTHEWS takes the bike and without another word fixes it for me! I stood in the store and cried because of his selflessness. As a widowed mom of three I’ve learned to repair a lot (laptop screen, washer, dishwasher, exhaust fan, etc) and this was my fourth bike to put together in a month (this was the first with handbrakes etc.) but there are just some things I don’t have the know how or strength to do, like this dang bike who’s assembly direction were of no help.DAVE MATTHEWS showed me compassion when he didn’t have to. He stepped outside his “role” and fixed my son’s bike so that I didn’t have to leave it for the week. It’s not often these days when someone like DAVE MATTHEWS comes along and reminds you that you matter and that even when things are tough someone out there will lend a helping hand.Thank you DAVE MATTHEWS!!!!!!!

Everyone was really patient and kind while I made my decision and they helped me find a bike that was suitable for my specific use case. DO NOT BUY A BIKE HERE. We bought a bike here and it broke after a week of owning it. They would not replace it and the wait time to repair it was 4 weeks out even though we had only had it for a week.

They were SO nice/amazing, Bryan and Sherri Jones let me in even though they were pretty much closed. On google it said they were open an hour later than the actual store closing time. Thank God they had sympathy for me and I was able to buy my hammock! They didnt make me feel rushed or like I was messing up their day. They smiled and chatted with me as I left with a smile!!!Thats what I call customer service at its best!!

Dj was awesome! He helped us pick the perfect bicycle and gave us one on one attention even when picking the right sandals! The deals were good, and the customer service rocked! We will definitely be visiting again!

Review sale item prices closely at the register. These guys use the up to 50% off for racks that have nothing 50% off. Prices are generally marked up all ready and they get you with the “up to” in small print.

Bought 2 bikes on Friday! Going back Sunday to buy 2 more. Why you ask? Customer service! Went to Sun and Ski and was thinking about a couple of cruisers. Decided to think so we went to a few other shops. One shop we waited 15 min with no help. The other shop just complained about its customers and the other shop should have been closed. Came back Friday evening and Troy hooked us up! I will come back for one reason. Friendly staff and knowledgeable and helpful staff. A dang smile makes a difference. Yes, you can get a cheaper bike at Academy or Wal mart, but I can guarantee you will not get the level of customer service I received today. I bought 2 Haro mountain bikes here a few years ago and have always been satisfied with the maintenance and support I have received at this location. I was having a problem with one of my son’s back tire keeping it inflated so I brought it in. TOM, who normally helps in the Ski department stepped right in to assist as there was no one available in the repair department at the time. TOM was so patient and thorough with inspecting the tube and tire to try and figure what was wrong. My point...TOM went above and beyond in taking care of me and I could truly tell he wanted to help. We had good conversation on top of it all as I was asking for nice ski resorts to take my kids. It is people like TOM that keep me coming back and spending my money here at Sun & Ski. Thank you Tom!

First, Im a single mom, going to school and on a very tight budget. I had the opportunity to travel abcs visit my best friend in Minnesota. Planning for the trip, I purchased what I thought was a quality pair of winter boots, knowing Id not have to buy another pair for years to comeI had tried the left boot on at the store, checked that both boots were the same size and excitedly made my purchase. When I finally got into snow and freezing weather, I found that my Northface boots are defective and I cant fit the right boot on even with just a trouser sock! Called manager to see what could be done.Now, because I didnt keep a receipt, I cant return these defective, never worn boots for anything more than a store credit. These boots shouldnt have been sold at all. Theyre defective and I NEED my money back.I now have to buy NEW boots here in Minnesota.& I dont usually get to travel or do sports, so the gift card is worthless to me. I cant afford anything in that store.

Dropped my bike off on Saturday May 27th and told my bike would be ready by the 31st. I asked for them to look over my bike and perform whatever came with my pre purchased KIP plan (they had my account pulled up). I specifically asked them to inspect the handlebars and broken brake line, both major safety items that caused a pretty big fall on my prior ride.Received a call on the 31st informing me my bike was ready for pickup, upon receiving the call I asked the associate if everything I requested had been completed, he notified me that it indeed had been and the bike was ready for pick up.When I arrived at the store on June 2nd I stopped by and requested my bike, they walked the bike to the front counter and proceeded to attempt to charge me 50$ for a basic tune up. Basic tune up as noted by the coordinator Tom is a multiple point safety inspection, tightening of handlebars, lubricating chain and inspecting brakes.I inspected the bicycle as it looked untouched and upon inspection first item I found was the handlebars were still completely loose as I was able to move them with 2 fingers, the brake line issue I mentioned to the associate had not been addressed, the chain had indeed not been lubricated and the rest of the bicycle looked untouched!I asked the associate Tom for an explanation and he had none, he informed me he didnt know much about bikes and didnt know the mechanics name but it looked like his name was Rick. He then informed me he would get it looked over again and this time it would be a thorough look over.As I saw pricing on the receipt I asked what it was for he informed me it was for a basic tune up. I paid for a 3yr KIP plan that I was told would cover this. I was outraged and Tom seemed to pay little mind to this fact. I asked for my bike and told them I would take it elsewhere.This was a huge lack of communication between the repair shop and associates working there. Had I not been diligent they would have charged me 55$ for a tune up that I did NOT request AND had not been performed. I could have been injured on my ride that I WAS planning tomorrow that I will no longer be able to attend because I will have to take my bicycle elsewhere to have checked out.I will surely remember this experience and lack of customer service in choosing my next bicycle, I will ensure I am no longer purchasing from Sun and Ski sports.

The service has always been sub par in the bike section. Just went in to check the sale on cycling shorts and they were out of my size. The associate didnt even seem to care to help me get some in my size. Before, when I had brought a bike to get cables run, they had them crossed internally and refused to admit it. I had to get another shop to fix it.
