Love this store. Friendly and helpful staff.
Honestly this Goodwill isnt great compared to other ones. Most of the cashiers are great and friendly, but the store itself doesnt really have the same selection as the one in Pearland or Alvin.
Honestly I love Goodwill I have went into the store and found new clothes with tags and uniforms too,!
Desiree’s the best!!! My boyfriend and I recently went here and found an awesome media table! However, it was nighttime and near close, so they had already closed the back loading area. Our cashier helped us pick up the huge glass table and carry it outside, then even helped us put it in our car; it was a difficult job and wayyyy beyond what’s required of her. She also was just really sweet and outgoing (and absolutely hilarious) and just all around made our experience the best it could be!!
Worked here and went to work and was fired for a no call no show for sun 4of July I was not even on the schedule to work that day😑😒🙄 definitely dont recommend working here but the donation attendance are very nice
Lots of good things there. I love the clothes. Mostly.
Clean store. A little picked through sadly.
Sales people are polite and friendly. Lots of Oddities and assorted thingamajigs. Wish they had more DVDs. It was a normal good will store
Do not bother trying to donate goods here. Twice I have had issues donating perfectly fine, clean, and well taken care of goods at this location. The first time the donation attendants were rude and acting like they didnt want to accept my donations several months ago, no thank yous were given and they were nit picking every item as they loaded them onto their carts. This past weekend 10/24/2020 I had loaded up a truck load of clean like new clothing, home decor type pictures, kitchenware, and a hutch style work desk. Well I arrived at the location, and the donation attendant / manager immediately came out and said she was not willing to accept the donations. All she looked at was the desk, and she said that they were not selling well and that they had three entertainment centers already in the back area. I pointed out that it was a desk complete with keyboard tray and spots for the printer and CPU and not an entertainment center, and she then proceeded to point out a small (less the three inch diameter) moisture stain on the bottom side of the desk and said she could not take it because it was water damaged. I asked her if she was aware of how their company stayed in business, and how they paid for her salary, at which point she became belligerent and stormed back inside. I then drove over to the Goodwill store and donation center off of 518 in League City. The donation attendants came out imminently upon my arrival and gladly took the donations. They were very friendly and thankful for our donation.
Always find good things at this store, Ive gotten a lot of household items and Ive found lots of cute tops too. I do wish they had their womens pants a little more organized (like all the blue jeans in one spot, kakhis, etc.) But if you sift through the racks you will def find hidden gems
This is one of my favorite shops in the area. Great finds and relaxed vibe. And all of the staff is very nice and professional. Especially Desiree and Cynthia! They are awesome workers!
Fun place to browse. I stock up on books and find some beautiful wrought iron pieces, picture frames, work clothes for my son etc.
1st - Great place, I love going to each one. They all have a certain connection to the area they are located in. 2nd - I have to be realistic too. I have bought a lot of merchandise from many different Goodwill Select stores. I have made a lot of money from some of those items. I have even visited the school in Dallas and San Antonio and the computer stores in Dallas, San Antonio, Austin and Houston. I congratulate you on your community involvement and dedication to educating anyone and everyone. That said, I have noticed in the past couple of years a trend in pricing and to merchandise displaying geared towards maximizing profits and running your store basing the management on pure profitability. You werent always like that. Your stores felt like it was somewhere one might go and find a treasure for discount prices. I find more and more that those treasures are still to be found but they are quickly rising to treasure prices. I find it disheartening to see something donated as a set being sold as single pieces at almost retail store prices and I have found more recently the Goodwill price exceeding the retail price when the original store sticker is on the item. I feel good about spending where the feel of the place is I get a bargain and the money goes to help people who may need it. I do not like going into an establishment knowing the items i am looking at were given for free and i am paying almost retail price for a used item to support a fancy store and max profitability that may or may not help others but definitely is going to help pay the 770k CEO salary plus undisclosed incentives possibly valued at 1.2 million. I believe your stores arebeing pressured to maximize profits based on these incentives and as a side note to paty for that school thingy or whatever. I see the fancy buildings, but i didnt mind the old school shopping centers either. Just my opinion, nothing more....I still go, just not as enthusiastically. Worshipping the dollar bill is a disgusting ritual way too many participate in every day in spite of the beautiful world spinning around them.
This store has lots of good things that you dont need to come look at because they over price most all things. I know they help people but why is a used dresser 299.00??? I can spend 150.00 at a furniture store and get that same dresser. I know why they are alway full of things way over priced.
Great store, easy to get to. Great prices and deals
This store has been picked over. Not too much in it. I was however to find a few items for crafting. Not a bad trip.
Found an item at $14.99 waited a long line only to find out the price was wrong at the cashier and wanted $30 for it now . Speaking with the manager didnt chage much I asked to honor the price tag themselves put she refused saying they dont go by the price tag I was like ok. Wasnt worth it at the end I left the item behind. Bad taste at this store for sure.
Organized a little strange...staff was doing their best to stock stuff but too busy chatting with each other to assist. Manager or supervisor was abruptly yelling at staff... very awkward...
Goodwill NASA Rd 1 is a very clean store. Employees are friendly and helpful. Great location to shop.
Im really mad that my review is being hidden. This place is awful and the people who work here need better training.
Wonderful store, best staff. Girl with blonde hair is great!
Lots of clothes. Little in the way of towels or rugs.
New manager melany was very helpful and cashier Desiree was super nice made me smile clothe selection was great
Manager was extremely rude about a set of chairs we wanted to purchase. Another employee harassed my wife because her mask was below her nose. Then called it out over the loud speaker while my wife was in line to check out. You can definitely be respectful about mandating customers to wear a mask, instead of slandering my wife and harassing her for 5 minutes in front of our 3 year old son. This will be the last time we come to this Goodwill.
Went in there by myself. Had a scarf on. Face covering, right? Im walking around the entire time, nothing. Im in line to pay, by myself, and an employee, a manager? Idk was far enough away behind the counter and the plexiglass and told me to put a mask on. All I had was the scarf so I pulled it up to my nose. She then walked all the way around the counter. Walked past me and said in passing so disrespectful. Im sorry? I saw plenty of other employees and customers not wearing their masks correctly. Shouldnt it be over your nose at all times? One employee was showing a new employee around and had his under his nose and talking the entire time. Meanwhile I didnt have my mouth covered but I was keeping my distance and not talking to anyone? I got excited to buy some pink girl boots and talked to myself under my breath but that was towards the end when I was in line. I saw kids pulling their masks down. Maybe because they saw me and figured it was ok.Anyway, that employee was an older lady that sounded like she smokes a pack a day and im sure she walked off in a huff to go smoke. Like thats helping lol.I put one star because of her but the other employees who rang me up were very nice and didnt seem to have a problem with me so Ill keep going.
My go to place to donate
What a great experience! The store was very clean and the staff were OUTSTANDING!!!
They discriminate against people with medical disabilities and ask them to leave because it can make other customers uncomfortable.
Boo goodwill. No refunds offered and they wont let you try clothes on. However, there actually 5 employees behind the registers but on a Friday afternoon when on busy weekends youre lucky if you get one employee on the register.
Above-average Goodwill store. Lots of books.
This place is organized and fully stuffed.
Long lines are a constant problem, other than that, okay place to shop. Depending on the area, merchandise and cleanliness varies.
Went in the morning and was greeted by a very friendly new cashier. She was so nice and very apologetic as she was new to the store. The downside was your Assistant Manager Rebecca, she is extremely rude to customers and was very rude to the new employee who needed help. When I stated a top that I found in the kids section she rung as a jacket when I stated where I found she proceeded to argue with me, that customers just hang stuff wherever they want. Eventually just said Well whatever to me. How is this acceptable for a manager? She seriously needs to be retrained on good customer service because she seriously lacks it.
Love it
The lady at the register basically ran me out of the store because I wasnt standing behind the line. She was taking her sweet time and was extremely rude. I would think that non profit organizations would hire friendlier people.
I have shopped this location many times, but today a sales associate was disrespectful to me after I politely said excuse me to get by her and another associate. After I passed by them to continue looking at the racks on the next aisle, this employee stopped her personal conversation with the other employee and proceeded to stare me down and then ask me if I had a problem. To which I replied, yes. I am shopping quietly, excused myself to get around you and now you are trying to pick a fight for no reason at all.She stated she was on a break. I said then perhaps you should be off the floor or in the back on your break. She then proceeded to tell another associate that she was going to the front before she went off on this woman. So she went and stood by the register. My thought was, why would you go stand by the cash register if you are on a break? Cause that makes perfect sense. Not the most trust worthy employee it would seem and what awful customer service you have going on at this store. I was not even in the store 5 minutes before I decided to leave and waste any more time and I informed her that I would be calling her manager and the corporate office, to which I have contacted the corporate office.
Fine store, good selection but the prices were too high and they do not allow returns
Got some really good deals and found a pair of brand new Jeans in my size! I guess I got lucky. The check out line moves pretty fast. Good experience!
The put a yellow plastic tag on a shirt indicating it is 1.99. The cashier would not honor the price tag. The manager Anne was on duty. She said they do not have to honor a price even though it was due to an error on behalf Goodwill employee. She said the shirt is 5.99. I feel that the manager handled this problem with too much pride. She was very rude. The shirt was stained and we believe it was marked correctly. We are waiting on a reply back from their corporate office. Its not the cost of the shirt that was a problem. It was the management that needs to be corrected.
Always have something to find and the staff are polite.
I always find little knick knacks for my home here.
Love it here new things
Very nice always find good things here
Overpriced low end clothing. Save yourself the trouble and go to Target/Walmart - cheaper and NEW!
Not enough registers open.
Always has pretty good stuff just gotta try to go early. Have scored good cheap furniture pieces there too and teacher discount is 30percent everyday
Not a lot of good at this week at this location either I missed it or they missed the truck so Im going to move on to another Goodwill before the day is done
Walked in to get clothes we needed for a costume. Ended up finding that and more. Plus both of our kids walked out very happy with bicycles. Great experience!!!
Great store
Very rude customer service. Older lady cashier was very rude. She informed me that a shirt I had chosen was going to be a more expensive price than the others I had because of the tag location, though I got it in the same location as everything else. I said “y’all should probably get someone to go through the stuff then, because it’s very confusing when everything is mixed up.” And her response was “no, people should just put things back where they belong.” And she then proceeded to berate me for having an attitude with her, even though I just wanted to inform her of the inconvenience. She then continued talking about it while checking me out, at which point she periodically laughs out loud for no reason. Never met someone so rude confrontational at a goodwill location before. Will not be returning.
I bought a jewelry bag for $24.99 when i got it home i found i had bought 15 earnings with no matches 20 broken necklaces 1 broken watch. When i called the lady said to bring it back up. Only to get there and the very rude lady told me that there is no refunds, no exchanges and with those bags you get what you get. So according to this lady its ok to sell people broken stuff and jewelry that cant be worn or used. This is the worst store i have ever been to.
I will never come to this Goodwill again. The store was clean and very organized, yet with Goodwills all over the Houston area, having great customer service is key. I had a much better experience at the Goodwill in Pearland we had just come from.As I was shopping in the children’s section near the registers you could hear the staff talking about customers, which is very unprofessional. When my daughter and I checked out I said hello to the cashier and my usual thank you when she handed me my change and bag, yet she didn’t even have basic manners and said nothing back. I will never come to this location again.Managers, please provide your staff some basic customer service training.
We found clothes, stuffed animals, and horse shoe game. The bathrooms were clean. Dressing rooms are closed due to covid. The checkout process was slow.
The store is always clean and organize. They are very helpful and always greet you as you walk in. I recommend people to visit and see for themselves.
Clothes are overpriced.
Mostly clean, decent selection from all the surrounding clear lake upper class, but it is after all, still a Goodwill...
Clean, organized, great service!
Has decent items reasonably priced. Have to go often to find good items.
Like shopping here always find something good. great prices
This is a pretty good Goodwill store. The staff are always pleasant.
Questionable Business Practices at the Goodwill Select Store located at 20810 Gulf Freeway, A, Wester, Texas 77598I attempted to purchase 2 swivel chairs for the price of $69.99 as it was written on the handwritten portion of the price tag. A sofa was also priced as $69.99. The cashier (Shirley) was getting ready to ring up the purchase of the 2 swivel chairs at the actual written sale price and I asked her whether the chairs were the same price as the sofa. She didnt know. Ms. Shirley in turn asked one of her co-workers to check the price. The manager (Rebecca) told her to sell the chairs for $69.99 each: not for what was written on the handwritten portion of the price tag.The nice employee (I didnt get her name) that was attempting to help resolve the matter placed a one over the 2 and said, Im sorry. The manager said to change it. I and I in turn asked Rebecca to reconsider because one of her employees obviously made a mistake. Rebecca said No and the conversation got ugly. Not only was she rude but she insulted my intelligence. When a sales associate makes a mistake on pricing, the customer is allowed to purchase the unit at the written/recorder price. Thats what I learned in Business Management courses. It appears Goodwill is not following that policy. I didnt write the handwritten portion of the price tag: an employee did. I purchased both the chairs and the sofa along with some additional items because they are needed. I lost all of my possessions in an apartment fire on August 27th and have been shopping at Goodwill almost daily in order to replace items that were lost. Im requesting for someone to review video footage, reprimand Rebecca for her usage/acts of microaggressive movements, systematic oppression and systemic racism. If I was a white female, she would not have insulted my intelligence and she would HAVE MOST DEFINITELY sold the swivel chairs as the handwritten portion of the price tag stated. Today, the mission statement of Goodwill was not employed nor embraced by the manager. Rebecca needs to be reprimanded and undergo extensive training in the area of customer service. I will share my concerns on social media as well as with the news media. I wonder how many patrons have been mistreated at this location?I am NOT pleased!!! #PricingMatters
I have found a lot of rare, close to complete nerf guns for around 4$ NICE and it`s so close to our apt complex i can bike there!!!!
Clean and organized...but a little pricey for thrift...but you can still find good deals..
Prices are rediculously high for free / donated items. There are dollar tree items that sell for $1.00 brand new at dollar tree but goodwill has them priced higher than their retail price. Rediculous !!!
Its a goodwill.... Theres better thrift shops around
Every thing in this place is way overpriced. You would be better off shopping at a regular retail outlet.
Great store good selection of clothing, and audio equipment!
Friendly people. Very clean and organized.
Ok employee attitudes well at least the one I asked questions. The store is clean and organized but some items are priced to high.
