Ms Nicole, thank you for your kind words and encouragement. That meant a lot! Two years ago I was unable to walk. I still have some work to do and dancing is it. Im hoping to rebuild muscles I lost. Enjoyed myself immensely. The updates that yall did are wonderful. The atmosphere is very relaxing. I felt no pressure from any of the staff concerning the purchase of drinks. That was very nice. I will return, and to begin work on what I lost. I used to dance many years ago. Sometime ghosts return!

The hop has really gone downhill over the last few years. The vibe has changedalot, its just not the same anymore.

Sound system sucks they do not adjust it for each song had a friend ask the dj to send a shout out shout to a friend for their birthday was rude about it and said so what probably will not come back as it was a bad first impression

I love going to The Hop. We always have a good time there dancing. The only thing I do not like is that the DJ plays the same songs every time I go. He does not mix it up a bit and does not play any requests.

If you like to dance this is the dance floor to do it. The floor isnt slippery. I think there is a new DJ. The music lineup has changed. Thursday nights are ladies night and there is no cover for ladies. The bartenders and waitstaff have always been attentive. I hear the owner is investing some more into the rear patio and the restrooms. There is no longer a restroom attendant. Oh wear a shirt with a collar. There is a bit of a dress code. The is the club of our choice. Me and my husband love the variety of music and the diverse crowd. Management and staff have always been courteous and friendly, Louise makes the best drinks and as busy as she gets has always been friendly and served us with a smile. I always feel safe when I am not at my husbands side. I give The Hop FIVE STARS. Thanks!

Gross and crusty

Great place to go dancing. Thursday is ladies night, no cover for ladies! It does need a bit of updating.(what 30 year old club doesnt)The bartenders are attentive to all humans no matter what nationality or gender. They are so patient! I have seen some winners that I would lose patience with, and the tenders just make their drinks without batting an eye. I hear the owner found someone to help him get the place looking better and setting up the new enclosed patio. The bathroom is unattended now. Im grateful for that.

40 and up club. With a nice crowd on Saturday nights. Friendly people with a lot of mixed couples just out having fun enjoying life! Great music also!

Was expecting 70s and 80s pop/rock like it used to be. We even asked the DJ several times for the oldies. There are plenty of Tejano, country and young adult bars in Houston and the surrounding areas. I always counted on The Hop to play the pop/rock music that I like to dance to. Most of the men never danced. They just watched. It was mostly ladies dancing with ladies or dancing alone. So, ladies if you want a dance partner, you better bring him with you. I wont go back.

Great drink prices, good music, fun atmosphere to hang out at! I love this place! Doesnt pick up till around 11 but had a blast! Definitely going back.

First time visiting there. On a Saturday night with another female. I live in Houston.She invited me. The music& videos were very good. Dance floor was large.Great for dancing. Older crowd some younger ppl. Here& there. Lighting good on dance floor. Waitress was nice & attentive. Mixed drinks were too expensive for the small glasses. Beer prices were ok. Small selection of beers. Ordered hot wings. They were good. The men seem to be afraid to ask us to dance. Me & my friend went up couple times to dance by ourselves. One guy kind of joined in. I danced by my table by myself on a lot of songs! Overall I enjoyed the night. Will go back but with a male friend to dance with. After 8 oclock there was.$5 charge. Guy in front of me & my friend,paid for us. That was great!

If you like being around an older crowd and love the 80s music well then this is the spot for you. The Hop has been around ever since I went to Junior High at Webster intermediate I still have friends that go to the hop on Thursday nights I think they have some drink specials, and there is never never any drama at all I love the Hop.

I went to this place with my friends Feb 21, 2020 and the waitress with curly hair charge my card 25 dollar for my virgin pina colada. Terrible be careful with the waitress better to use cash or pay directly to the bar.

Its really a great little dive with great drinks and pretty good food too... my only complaint is the DJ RARELY takes requests. ..he sticks to the same music line up night after night year after year...

Lady at the bar skimmed $30 off my change for 2 drinks and had the nerve to get uppity with me when I called her out on it. I wonder how many people she has scammed this way.

The service was great. Music was what we expected. The drinks are inexpensive, may be low quality mix cocktails but with friends and music it was all good. Recommend and will be back.

They played a variety of music we sat at the bar so my husband could watch the game. Our waitress was polite but there was a short order guy at the bar my husband ask if he could ask the taller gentleman to.get out front the TV and he suggested we move!! Where though?!? On a Saturday night the bar was full. Its one thing if we were rude but we were running a tab. He was just being a douche!!!!

If you enjoy dancing to older music youll like The Hop. Yes its tattered. Yes the bathrooms arent shiny. Yes the booze memu is limited. But if you want to dance to the oldies, if youre not allergic to smoke this place can be a hoot.

As long as you go with a good group of friends its fun. Its an older crowd but Ive always enjoyed the variety of music they play.

These bartenders are rude, maybe its a racial thing, I dont know. The two women bartenders were rude to my friend and I... when it was time to pay, she gave a copy of the receipt for me to sign, I reached for the pen and she slammed the pen on the counter...she continuously rolled her eyes at my friend and I like she did not want is to serve us. Also the valet guy was just as rude...we were first in line, he ignored us and went to help the people behind us, he literally walked right by us .. I had to say something to him in order for him to help us. This is my first and last time coming here. Either these people are racist or theyre rude and disrespectful to everyone that comes here. I will never come here again. Worst Experience in Webster period!

Its a shame this place is so nasty. Stinks and the carpet probably holds every disease known to man in incubation. It has so much potential. If theyd renovate and change ownership this place would rock.

Not a good experience at all!! we had been there a good 22 hrs and all teh sudden the manager coems over and tells my husband he has to take off his cap. WHY???? SIR either take it off or leave so we left never again will i go there - and we had the crowd with us..lol there was 15 people in the entire place and 11 of us left

I applied as a waitress at the hop just looking to make quick cash, seeing that I just moved to Webster less than a week ago. I worked an entire night as shot girl and left with zero dollars. Now this was not because I didnt sell or make any tips, its basically because the owner Kevin is a crook. Their inventory system is the one of the worst i have seen and he said at the end of the night I actually owed him money, opposed to making ANY AT ALL. He then told me I didnt know how to manage my money. I am 30 years old. Not that Im happy about it, but Ive been waitressing and bartending at strip clubs since I was 18 years old. Ive managed more money than the hop had probably seen in its existence. I called Kevin out and he immediately started getting defensive and snatched all the money I made out of my hand. But let me tell you, earlier in the night a bartender had told me of a similar situation involving another girl. Im almost positive this guy uses girls for a night or two, messes with inventory, takes their money and never pays them. He is a crook. And as Ive seen from other bloggers, this is not the first case of money theft. Not to mention the place looks like new strands of disease are formed there, its disgusting and roach infested.

Great people watching! It does smell bad and the drinks arent great, but its always a lot of fun.

10/27/2012Called to get information about Costume Party and received recorded message specifying that entry to the event was free before 8 pm and $4 after. Arrived before 8pm with my aunt and was told everyone had to pay $5. WTH!! Asked for manager and told the same even though I mentioned recording. He nonchalantly gave some off beat answer. What a d**!hebag! So off I went to blog because principle counts for alot.

This place is nicknamed The MeatMarket..so you can get an idea what to look for...nothing but lonely people waiting to get picked up by the opposite sex or same sex whatever your in to..the bathroom is disgusting..yuk..please make sure all your shots are up to date...bring Sanitizer...and your own toilet paper..dont ask why...any how I would find another spot to enjoy a night out...

Although, Ive rated it high, I will say the bad reviews are alittle accurate in a sense of that is how they perceive it. I first went when I was 22, and stop somewhere around 3yrs ago. I had an amazing time every time. Although, im not saying they overexaggerated, what I am saying is everything in life should be taken with a grain of salt. To the lady who got drugged, I can asure you louis had nothing to do with, I know him very well, easiest going fella you could meet. But that was some what her fault or better yet been prevented, if ur gonna get a free drink from a stranger, know the protocol, order from the waitress, 9/10 itll be a women. For the woman whose daughter had the most awful experience, come on wise up, of course theyre go gaga over yall your two college aged women. But im sure had it been hunky 20something yr olds, it would have been aok okie dokie. Heck, thats the reason I went every weekend, cause I was a feast per say. And to the gentleman expressing complaints over the drug usage, come on give the old fellers a break, some of them barely walk alone much less after a few. I mean I dont blame them for having to use a party enhancements. Most of them are good people whove worked extremely hard, and know its time to play hard....cut em sum slack..now as far as the door prices ill say they are tricky with the door prices, theyll get you in a hurry, but its $3 to $4 so come on man. Inconclusion ill say that the hop is an amazing place to go, the music, the atmosphere, its a good set up, but if your not a go out alot kinda person, I suggest you enjoy it in the company of 3 o 4 other couples to maximize, your enjoyment and suppress those over the top and blown abit out of control stories...and no I am no owner, employee, o representatives of any kind im simply a patron who fell in love with a bar/club regardless off the little cosmetic issues. The worst place I could have visited in my life, as mentioned in the previous review is highly recommended if you want to get hepatitis or observe people using cocaine, is the absolute decline. Bad-looking people, the bar staff quite unpleasant, the fatal music in short is not exposed going to know NOT worth the penalty is horrible!
