Jorge helped me and my experience with him was outstanding. He was incredibly friendly and professional. The work done at their shop is very high quality. Highly recommended and it’s a fraction of the price you would pay at apple and prices are exactly the same with other competitors. Great guys! Took my Galaxy S9 in because my battery was overheating and melting the back off the phone. They diagnosed the problem as being a bad battery (it was 3 years old). So, they replaced the battery and repaired the back of the phone that had melted off.Now the phone is working perfectly again and there is no sign of the previous damage (which was quite visible - and ugly). And all for just $60 bucks.Without them I probably would have ended up giving up and spending $1,000 on a new phone. So, very glad to have saved the $940!

I took my I Phone to the Device Shop to replace the battery. They were professional and extremely responsive. When they diagnosed the issue it turned out that the battery was disconnected and not dead as I thought so they merely reconnected it and sent me on my way without a charge. I would recommend using The Device Shop for repairs of your electronics. Try them I think you will be impressed.

Highly recommend!!!! I found them through groupon the only ones that said they fix Ipad Air 2 because nobody else wanted to fix them and they were charging and arm & leg I was scared to pick it up, you know some of these places will fix one thing and not call you and when you get there its more... Nope not this place. Great customer service and I love the building that they are in.

I would highly recommend going to The Device Shop in Times Square. The service is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. The website is great and you can see the prices there so no surprises. You know how much it would cost the repair before making your appointment. Booked an appointment and met with George who was very friendly and honest. He repaired my front camera and my charging port of my iPhone 7. Everything is working very well now. I can absolutely say that his service is the best quality. I am very satisfied with the results. OK- just a heads up- this location is in a shared office space. When I got up to the fifth floor, I felt like I was walking into the lobby/kitchen of an office. There was no one to greet me at the front desk. I called The Device Shop directly, and they came out promptly to bring me to their office space. Their work on my and daughters battery replacement was ridiculously fast and efficient. Their prices were reasonable and they were pleasant to chat with during our brief stay. They are conveniently located in midtown- just trust the address and the 5th floor and call if the shared receptionist is not present.

Rob helped me out. Needed phone fixed fast and it was not a common phone. Well done.

Fixed my super cracked iPhone 8 Plus front screen in under 30 minutes and had me out of there and back to business in no time. I’ll be going back to them to fix the back glass soon (they let me know that takes much more time so I can plan ahead.) 10/10 would go back.

Ive been to 3 of their locations over the past few years for various repairs and cant recommend them highly enough. My phone had water damage, and I brought it to one of their locations expecting it to be entirely dead and hopeless -- the technician took a look and immediately referred me to their Times Square location (without any charge). The two technicians there went above and beyond to help me retrieve my data from my phone and partially repair it. I ended up buying a refurbished phone from them as a replacement, and thats lasted wonderfully for 2 years so far. Ive come in for minor repairs/questions a few times, most recently because my phone couldnt charge, and George took the time to examine and clean it thoroughly, saving me the cost of replacing any parts. What I appreciate most is the consistent care and attention of George and other technicians at the Device Shop -- I get the impression that most repair shops would jump to replace parts rather than put in the extra effort to help maintain existing ones, and teach customers how to better care for their devices. Highly, highly recommended. Great place and people.

Pros: Customer Service; price/valueCons: replacement materials are lesser qualityI’ve used the device shop twice. First time was to replace an iPhone screen— my puppy bit down on the small cutout where sound comes out during calls. The replacement cost was better than Apple, but the replacement screen had two issues: 1) the home button was now more recessed (unsure if thicker glass or if it simply wasn’t placed the same as original); and 2) while texting, the phone was occasionally unresponsive, causing the phone to miss letters/inputs. At that time, I also decided to have the battery replaced. The battery was terrible— the overall health deteriorated quickly then swelled to the point it was pushing up on the screen (my case no longer fit properly). I tried to have Apple replace the battery and they had to sell me a refurbished phone for the battery price because replacing the battery was a hazard for the employees.The second time was to replace an iPad Pro screen— it fell off a counter and the screen was cracked/shattered. Called and was told they had a replacement available (luckily, as it was an older model). This is available at the device shop for about 1/3 of the price that Apple charges— $220 vs. $600. Unfortunately, when they tried to replace it, they found the screen they had didn’t work. I’d like to give a shout out to Andre who was super communicative and always answered all of my questions. Eventually they ordered another screen and did the replacement. I noticed the recessed home button issue again, but whatever. It’s a trivial annoyance and once in a while I have to hit it again or accidentally activate Siri. My bigger gripe is that there are a few dark spots now on the screen, which are very distracting when reading on white backgrounds. I was told that it is likely due to the housing being bent. However, this issue did not exist with the old screen either before or after the cracking; it only became an issue upon replacement.Overall, I would certainly use again given the value and customer service (again, Andre at the Bryant Park location was fantastic), but if you are looking for a perfect replacement, you should go directly to Apple.

The guys at the Device Shop at the Times Sq. location were quick to diagnose and resolve my IPhone 5 problem. Had the battery replaced in less than 15 mins, and an audio problem with the phone resolved. Turned out it only need a good cleaning, and not a more expensive part replaced, which I had expected. Good professional, honest and reliable service all the way around. Recommend.

On two occasions these guys have save my iPhone from complete oblivion and therefore saved me from loosing all the important stuff I keep in it. My phone just stopped working and I went in yesterday with no appointment and with a phone that looked like it had been run over by a truck and quickly they determined that it was the screen and my battery, in 20 min I walked out of there with the device good as new, I ended repairing the phone for $100 rather than the outrageous price they wanted to lay on me at the genius bar. Thanks to these guys I’ve had a fully functional phone for way longer (6 years) than it’s usually expected from these devices.

Booked a same day appointment, went in to get my charging port repaired, and instead of charging me fifty dollars for a new one The employee did a quick fix and didnt charge me. I love Apple products but when they break, its a hassle. AppleCare barely covers manufacturer defects these days. And you could grow old waiting for an appointment for the Genius Bar. Then they charge you an arm and a leg. This is why I always go to The Device Shop when I need a repair. I took my iPhone X in this morning for a screen replacement job. I have gotten my iPhones repaired at different Device Shop locations over the past few years, and their service is always fast and professional, plus booking an appointment is easy.I came in to the TS location yesterday because my charging port wasnt working. They could have easily lied and charged me for a replacement, but instead they told me it just needed a thorough cleaning and it cost me very little. The building was nice and the Device Shops staff was friendly.

Sold me a defective screen, with black dots appearing on the screen less than 3 months after purchase. Was unable to return due to geographic limitations due to posting with the armed forces. I called the store and they demanded payment for a new screen, spoke to the manager and he lectured me and proceeded to hang-up on me. Ignored further calls from me. I was once impressed with their service but disallusioned by the treatment Ive just received. To be avoided, specially if this is the aftercare they provide. A 6 month warranty is useless if the screen is faulty and the customer service provided consists of rudeness and hanging up.

I initially had a battery problem which they gladly fixed after Apple was unwilling to fix it. They give me a 6 month warranty as well for this new battery.My phone wouldn’t work also because my charging port broke. Paul the technician there was able to identify this very quickly and showed me the problem. I trusted him especially after showing me the problem. He has a great knowledge on an array of phones. He even fixed someone’s phone that was specific for Korea while I was waiting for my repair.Feeling bad about there being two defects with my phone they had given me a discount and a free screen protector.I highly recommend this place as they aren’t looking to scam you like other shops. Had an iPhone 6 with a busted screen, got fixed in under 15 minutes. Super fast and would recommend. FYI on getting there: It is on 20th floor of 1501 Broadway, and youll have to show your ID to check in and go up the elevator as its an office building. There are two entrances to the building too, best to enter on W 43rd. There is also $5 extra fee if you pay with credit card.

I had problem with my charging port on my iPhone. The technician was honest looked at it and cleaned the charging port and tested it and it worked fine. He did this in couple of minutes and for free!!!Another repair shop wanted to charge me 59$ plus taxes to replace the charging port and all they had to do was clean the iPhone charging port. I highly recommend their honest service and thank them for cleaning it for free

This is the second time these guys have saved my phones butt. The first time they gave me a new battery in less than 15 minutes that was going to take the Apple Store Days and much more money to figure out, and today I ended up having a simple problem that Paul fixed in about 5 minutes and didnt charge me for. I made the appointment and they ordered my screen. A few a few days later I went back and they replaced it in about 45 minutes.The repair shop is located inside the WeWork building. Check-in at front desk and they will direct you to the 5th floor.My phone took a little over an hour to repair. While he repaired it I waited outside. They have free coffee. Its good.

Easy, courteous, honest and efficient. Made an appointment on-line, brought my i-phone 6s to one of their several locations in Manhattan and was served right away. Was out in 15 minutes. Upon inspection it turned out that only the outside extra protective glass sheet I had previously added was cracked and not the i-phone screen itself. They pointed this out to me and saved me about $100 (the 6s screens are more expensive than others). A less honest vendor may have undertaken the more expensive repair anyway. They seem technically very proficient.

These guys were great. I came in with a dead iPhone, not sure what was wrong and they tried everything including a new battery and (unfortunately) determined it was completely dead. They made sure of my warranty information, and located the nearest Verizon shop, and didnt charge me anything. I was able to go get a new one, confident that no other option was available.

I just got my phone fixed, it is looking brand new. Paul repaired my screen and identified that an earlier repair created issues which he prevented from re-occurring. Great place. My go to place for phone / tablet repair. Ive been there multiple times and had 3 different devices fixed. My most recent visit Magdy and George took care of my Nexus 5x. They order the parts, called me when they arrived and had the phone fixed within hours.

The absolutely love the customer service these two guys both named Andre one was Spanish and the other was Russian these two guys was so down to earth they fixed my phone and I found myself still in the store talking to the guys and 45 minutes than realized how long I was in there just having a great convosation with thoses two guys. Ipad, different iphones. I was there today to fix a screen on an iphone that my daughter dropped. Quick, easy, cheap. And I had another one with me that had an unresponsive screen, and they fixed that for nothing, said there was nothing wrong with it! Apple store would have taken hours and probably made me buy another phone. As the customer service at the Apple stores has become a nightmare, its so great to know these guys exist and will do the trick whenever I need them. Affordable miracle workers!

Well I had completely powdered my screen back into silica. The guy at the desk took my device, told me it would be 15 mins. And even though I had to endure the terrifying sound of a tiny hammer rendering what was left of my screen into nothingness, I was super pleased at the end result which was a brand new screen like the whole mess never happened. He was friendly and polite and non-pushy.

I smashed the front screen on my iphone 7 and the LCD display -- really thought the phone was done for. After assessing my options (including buying an iphone 6 for $270) I decided it was most cost effective to repair the phone for $100. In a rush to fix the phone due to a business trip around the corner, I hit The Device Shop on my lunch break with hopes theyd fix the phone in 1 business day...When I got to The Device Shop the guys were super polite and attentive, they took a look at my phone immediately (even though I showed up like 15 minutes early). I waited for about 15 minutes and they handed me a shiny new iphone. I am so glad that my frantic google searching led me to them -- these guys are professional phone fixers and they take pride in their work! $100 well spent.

LOVE THIS PLACE! Dropped iphone off w busted screen and it was ready less than 20 mins later. I also got a screen cover and they applied it for me in minutes. Keep going back over the years as needed when I crack my screen, third visit maybe in as many years (different phones) and they are always extremely customer service orientated, friendly, helpful and FAST.

These guys are awesome. I have a nexus 6 phone, not a common phone. They answered all of my questions and fixed my phone as good as new. I had dropped my phone and smashed my screen really badly, the phone wouldnt work at all and I came in to device shop and tbey fixed it quickly. A month later my phone seemed to be having problems- I wasnt sure if it was hardware (the screen) or software (motorolas problem). It is something you can only begin to understand with prolonged use, so they couldnt figure it out in store. They still replaced the screen for me, free of charge. Despite this part being particularly expensive due to this phone not being a commonly owned one. Truly great customer service!

I just got my galaxy note 3 fixed. Its fixed very nicely. And also they are very honest on the price. I thought both glass and lcd are broken and dropped the phone yesterday as they dont have the parts for white. But while they are working on my phone, they found out only glass needs to be replaced as lcd works. So they charge me only the price of glass replacement. I would highly recommend this shop.

Really quick and saved the money and kind!!! My screen of ipho was enormously cracked. It was fixed in 50min and its fixed completely and it was like brand new and everyone was very kind. just minor scratch at the button but no big deal .

I needed a new WIFI-antenna and battery for my iPhone6 and found the Device Shop through Google. I used the Times Square location. It was staffed in a professional manner and my iPhone was ready in a very short time. I would definitely recommend them and use them again.

I am sorry/notsorry to say Ive had to use TDSs services multiple times (5+) in the past several years. Sorry because it means I or someone else in my family has broken their iPhone screen. But notsorry because the team there is absolutely fantastic and has fixed the screen or other problem within the hour (sometimes within minutes, depending on the time of day). After a Google search for nearby iPhone repair, my first visit to The Device Shop was to figure out why my new-to-me hand-me-down iPhone 5S battery life was so poor and why charging cables would wiggle and not stay in place. The expert technicians deduced correctly that the phone used to be owned by a dude, and extracted a giant clump of jean pocket lint from the charging port. I still decided to swap out the existing battery for a new one, get a screen glass protector and Spigen hard case to start my phone out with a clean slate.One year later, I could only trust one place with my phone. I used their website to book an early morning appointment because my phone conversations werent very clear on my end, and battery life was on the wane. Upon inspection, Paul cleaned out my speaker/microphone at no charge and taught me to turn unnecessary location services off. I also decided to replace my screen protector glass that had gotten cracked due to my clumsiness.Simple fixes, all the while, the man was a master at multi-tasking - fixing the previous customers phone, processing my phones problems, taking incoming customer phone calls, coordinating orders for other stores, delegating other walk-in customers to other techs and being super polite and professional the entire time. Highly recommend this oasis of calm in crazy busy Times Square.

I took my iPhone here to be repaired after water got into it, and it switched itself off at the most inconvenient moments. Paul sat behind his desk with his tools, opened the phone up, gave at mild commentary of what was wrong and what he was going to do, and fixed it! 10 minutes, no charge. Thats great service! I dropped my iPhone 4S on the kitchen floor, and there it was... An enormous crack across the whole front glass of my iPhone. As soon as that happened I got on the web and searched for a place where I can fix my phone quickly and at a reasonable price. I stumbled upon this place on yelp; all the reviews where good, so I decided to give it a go. I called and made an appointment for the next day. This office is in the heart of Time Square, kind of hard to find if youre not familiar with the area. Once there, I was greeted by nice receptionist, she took my phone and told me that it should be fixed in approximately 45 minutes. I took a sit in their waiting area, and (since theres free wifi) browsed the web, watched some youtube videos, etc. After 48 minutes, my phone was ready for use. The job was done well! The screen is brand new, a near perfect install, fully functional, etc. The price was $65, and with tax goes up to around $73. They give you a six month warranty on the phone if and only if it starts acting up.. You dropping your phone again isnt covered under the six month warranty. Overall Iam very pleased with their service; its been a week and my phone is doing perfectly fine. Recommended to anyone in need of a fast, reliable, safe repair.

Thought I had a broken charging port on my iPhone, instead it was just incredibly dirty. They gave it a thorough cleaning and didnt charge me anything. Felt good not being taken advantage of.

Very frustrating experience – I went to the shop 4 times in a row and still ended up with a problem. In a word, poor workmanship and defective materials.I had a cracked screen and brought my phone to the shop. They replaced the screen. A few days later the screen started looking like it was covered by a spiderweb - the glue from the repair started seeping under the screen. I brought the phone back (its quite a walk for me but what could I do). They looked at it and told me Oh, it must have been a bad batch of glue…. They said they were too busy and couldnt work on it while I wait. So I had to walk back and then come to the shop again a few hours later.A few days later the glue started coming out again! Another walk to the shop, and the same excuse again - Must have been a bad batch of glue! They promised to clean the phone up and do a good job that time. But again, they wouldnt fix it right away - I had to come back again after a few hours without the phone.Another few days, and suddenly I stopped hearing the conversation when I was on the phone. I checked the case and saw the glue coming out everywhere, in particular blocking the speaker! This was too much. I walked to the shop again and showed the phone to them. Can you guess their response by now? You’re right - bad batch of glue. Enough is enough - I demanded the refund.I asked to speak to the manager and told him about my bad experience. To my surprise he was not apologetic at all! He sounded defensive and told me that they have lost money on my phone! The fact that they performed 3 defective repairs, wasted my time and caused aggravation meant nothing to him! That was quite shocking.I took my phone to a different place and they fixed it right. But what if I was one of millions of tourists walking through Times Square? I would not be able to come back to the TheDeviceShop after a defective repair, not even to get a refund. I hope this is not the business approach of TheDeviceShop as it would be totally unfair to its customers.

I talked to one of the persons working there hr was extremely friendly and helpful, he did trying anything to help with the most reasonable price, he even contacted their comparators, i had an amazing experience with them until i called for a much smaller issue today and there was this girl taking my call who was very rude and unfriendly, as if she is getting hired to hang up on customers as soon as she can! Honetly, if it wasnt because of the first person, i would give this place 1 star given my second experience!
