Very nice! Wide aisles, well lit, clean restrooms, self check registers, large parking lot. Only improvement needed was in restrooms, hand soap and seat covers are out of reach for someone in a wheelchair.
This is a small Whole Foods compared to others. Standards are high and predict density is elevated to compensate for the decreased footprint. Prices seem a bit more elevated from other WFs being that this location is in Wellesley but it’s minimal considering that WFs is typically higher on average than other grocery stores when items are not on sale. When are items are on sale, and you’re a prime member, they can be pretty great. The grocery Dept lacked a few items I needed due to stock issues but the bakery and seasonal front & floral area was great. The meat Dept is generally great at this location. All the store technology was updated.Enjoy!
Nice big store with terrific employees. You know what to expect at WFM.
Excellent meat department, accommodating butchers always happy to do custom cuts. Prices have come down a bit since the Amazon acquisition. Superb fruits & vegies, both conventional and organic, but can be a bit pricey. Convenient in-store wine department, but not too impressed with the selection.
Their Boston Creme Cake is very soft and delicious, a nice option for summer nights! This store is always crowded, even though Im vaccinated, sometimes ı feel a little uncomfortable while in the store and I tend to leave quicker than ı want to
Wellesley location has a fantastic staff!
This place was good untill the meat. They refused to cut it even slightly thin, it was like an inch thick.
Called ahead on Friday 6.11 and asked if the hot food case is open. They said it will start on Monday 6.14. Arrived on Wednesday 6.16 and everything is still closed. Asked one of the managers there on 6.16 and their reply was I have no idea.
Edit: it was very generous of customer service to email me regarding this experience and to offer a kind gesture. It was a truly mind-boggling and awful customer service experience from start to finish. Upon arriving, there’s a staff member blowing debris and leaves all around the entrance where the plants and herbs are; the passive aggressive “I’m working here” was such a pleasant touch. The shelves are poorly stocked and the Organic Girl Greens mislabeled and stocked in the wrong places, apparently. At the hot bar, tofu is placed next to salmon and chicken. The cashiers are texting on their phones and don’t even see you standing in front of them. And as I was leaving, a concerning older employee was mumbling frustratingly to himself as he rushed past me and threw his trash around me. Stay far away. This place isn’t in the same stratosphere as the Sudbury location.
Excellent helpful staff. All wearing masks correctly. Guiding people through store w social distancing reminders. Parking lot was full but hardly saw people in store. Items easy to find. Checkout was quick.
I initially thought this Whole Foods was pretty nice but after my first full experience and multiple trips here I don’t like coming here for these reasons.1. Bring the most important is everyone is SO RUDE!!! The customers and the staff I can’t say are completely rude but they are not friendly either! Not what I’m use to in my town and not how Whole Foods use to be before Amazon took over. I did not visit this store prior to this transition so I can’t say if there has been a change. Which leads me to...2. The aisles are SO SMALL! It is extremely difficult to have 2 way traffic with a cart, some aisles this can’t happen. There’s also piles and displays in some of the aisles and these aisles are too small for any of that to be there. This leads to constantly having to be aware of what you’re doing, where your cart is and being interrupted by someone trying to get by you. I’ve never had to say excuse me so many times in a store. Which also has to do with people not being aware and thinking they are the only person in the aisle/store. Which again is a form a rudeness.3. Things aren’t labeled in the prepared foods, do you don’t know the name or the ingredients. This makes no sense.4. The checkout line is somewhat disastrous esp the “express line”.I come to the store out of convenience as I’m in Wellesley twice weekly but I will do my best to not come back for these and additional reasons but this review has taken up enough of my time.
Very Nice Supermarket.Whole Foods is clean, well displayed and very tidy in all aspects. The presentation of food products and selection of specialty goods is easily at hand.I have enjoyed and continue to purchase the 365, brand, Strawberry frozen fruit on a stick. They are frozen fresh fruit and very tasty for a refreshing boost. For $2.49 for a box of four, it works just fine. Many frozen veggies are great and all of the products as you need them are there for the taking.Staff are all polite, efficient and ask if you want a bag.The experience is pleasant, clean and efficient.A pleasant place to buy your favorite products.Aisles are nice and wide providing a nice atmosphere of space and privacy in your shopping experience.
Found everything I needed. Cashier was very nice and efficient.
Had to bring back a container of chicken livers. It smelled awful. Cashier was unfriendly and self righteous. Got begrudging refund.
A quiet neighborhood store. Staff is hard to find and not super friendly. most seem to prefer to keep to themselves. The overall vibe in the store from both customers and team members is Im here because I have to be. Otherwise the hot bar has some good selection both for breakfast and dinner. Store seems old but is very clean.
Not a good experience. I was moved to different lane for someone.
Love this WF. Has everything I need and always well stocked - very clean and excellent customer service. The only downside is that it can get packed often - it’s the only WF for the general area. So beware of coming during peak times.
Always fresh and nicely stocked
This store is always clean and well stocked with the products I need. The employees are so friendly and upbeat! They go out of their way to help the customers. So fortunate to shop here!
Great place to shop...helpful staff.
I havent been inside a market in 12 weeks. The curbside pickup was very easy and safe... easy to shop by Amazon app and pickup st Whole foods.
Overpriced unless you are part of the Amazon- world. Which I avoid since Amazon is bad for small business and the future of our economy.
It is good. Just hope they have more Greek yogurt drink options
Staff isnt following social distancing and cut in front of customers and bump people.
Whole Foods Market is always great! The Wellesley store still has some of that small grocery charm. Love it!
Well kept and clean store. I use the free charging station located right in front of the store during my shopping.
Since Covid, this store is awful to shop in. They dont have enough working cashiers, and the line becomes long. And they have no signage as to where the line to the cashier starts. The Framingham store is so much better, that even though its farther away from me, my total shopping time is still shorter.
A joy to shop and feel so safe, well stocked, cheerful staff very helpful
This is the worst Whole Foods Market. The people who shop there and the people who work there are extremely rude. I went very early in the morning. There were few people in the market, yet whenever I turned my back there was yet another person right on top of me. Does nobody in Wellesley understand distancing in a pandemic? When I asked these people to please try to keep their distance, I got nothing but extremely rude responses. Yes, the market has narrow aisles, but there were few people in the market. It just takes a little common sense to take an only slightly longer route to avoid close contact. Why are the Wellesley shoppers so entitled and disrespectful of others. Not everyone wants to take unnecessary risk when grocery shopping. The employees are not much better. They wear bandanas or masks that dont cover their noses and have no understanding of distancing. They will walk within a foot of you. After this experience, I will never go back to this location of Whole Foods.
Selection not as good as it used to be. Quality of produce should be better
Fantastic very nice
Very crowded but great products
The food selection is excellent, however the prices are not! Look folks, this isnt the town of weston, far from it! Please adjust your prices according to local income levels! Please do!
Wow I just had a most underwhelming experience. I had prepaid for a Thanksgiving main dish (for $149.99) and specified the pickup time so I could go in and out easily. But we waited for 1.5 hours and the product came out to be about a two person portion. So now I have to rethink my Thanksgiving main dish for my family. Awful.
I am a WFM fan and expect high quality food and top notch service. Ben went above and beyond. He was an attentive problem solver. Thank you!
Whole Food is one of the best grocery stores around. They have a large fraction of their fruit and vegetables grown organically and really try to promote sustainable procedures all around. Their produce is fresh and tasty.
I’ll always talk about the beautiful layout in this supermarket that I have never seen anywhere else. Beautiful staff and ready to help anytime. All items are of good qualities and reasonable price.
Good store. Prices can be a little high sometimes. But their organic selection is amazing!
It has been unfortunate to watch the slow decline of this Whole Foods since being bought out by Amazon. Staples that were always available are now regularly out of stock. The once healthy and veg-friendly buffet has been replaced by what looks like the leftovers of a BBQ. The veg options are now truly gross and unappetizing. The chips section now has several rows dedicated to pork rinds. It is also disappointing, though not surprising, to learn that WFs main supplier of chicken advertised as organic and free range actually comes from the same cramped factory farms where the birds never see the light of day, as recent animal rights investigations by Direct Action Everywhere have shown.
Very nice market. Good food and nice attentive staff. Clean and very well-organized.
Expensive junk food. Poor selections of vegan choices. Watered down organics.
I don’t shop at Wholefoods often, but when I have come here the service has been excellent. Was in a bind once and Jerry and manager May were amazing and went above and beyond to help me out. Thank you so much! I will be coming back here just because of you.
Visited during the peak hours, the parking lot was almost full and felt crowded inside. The whole foods market shouldve kept limiting number of people inside the store.
Good variety of produce. There are items On Sale almost all the time. Parking can be tricky, but it is always available. The food items are fresh and hot - there is also a good variety.
Mostly organic, good quality produce and fruits with a large assortment. Always clean and set up similarly so you can find your items. Great hot &cold food bar for any meals
I got my wedding flowers from Whole Foods, Wellesley and I dont think Ive been happier with a decision Ive made! Compared to most florists, the flowers were very very reasonably priced. The flowers themselves looked AMAZING. They were packaged perfectly and easily transportable to a location 2 hours away. It has been 4 days since I got married and the flowers still look perfect in several vases around my house! The bouquets looked beautiful and exactly as I wanted and the boutonnieres were adorable. I would definitely recommend this to any couple looking to not spend a fortune on their flower budget!
The best location in town
The very best of everything. Service is excellent and quality products
A wonderful selection and employees are always kind and hard working. The check out lines are always fast!
We love Whole Foods Market. This location is very neat and clean,The store has a great layout.their deli makes the best sandwiches in town. The prepared food has way many great options. They have, sushi, a Chinese bar, a salad bar, burrito bar, Pizza, subs. You name it.. Whole foods bakery has started carrying more gluten free items,(cupcakes, cookies ), and a whole variety of different breads.Super friendly staff and the coffee is always delicious !
Whole Foods is a good store. Fresh product, reasonable prices. Pays to use Amazon Prime.
The store is excellent and always something new and fun to shop. Very reasonably priced and you wont leave disappointed.
I am a big time fan of Whole Foods. I went here recently while visiting family. I needed to have a cake decorated, and the staff was able to get the job done quickly while still doing an excellent job. I feel like items at this store were more money than the one I usually go to. Welcome to Wellesley....
Very diverse range of grocery items. Fresh and tasty! The salmon I bought was especially good. A bit on the pricier side but worth it.
This is my closest whole foods but some days I would rather drive all the way to fresh pond to avoid it. The layout of the store doesnt make a lot of sense and I am always bumping in to other customers. The clientele is also just so Newton, which I know they cant help, but is still annoying. Also they have the least attentive cashiers of any Whole Foods ever. My standards are pretty low. All I require is for the cashier to stop chatting with the bagger Long enough to say, Hi.
I have always loved the quality of the products they make and those that they carry from other sources. I feel that I can trust that quality and that there are no additives of any kind. I hope that Amazons purchase of the market does not change any of this for the worse.
I absolutely love Whole Foods. But....for us, the prices are always on the high side. There’s variety and certainly quality but I have to save my money to shop there.
Why replace the burritos with a build your own Mediterranean bar the main reason I come here is for the burritos
Nice store!
Good products and good people working
There are some natural items you cannot buy anywhere else nearby. Attractive store, but expensive. Some of the food looks better than it tastes, so be careful. Meat, cheese and baked goods are excellent, though. Extensive selection of decent take out food. There is a good sized wine room (It used to be the community room.) The WiFi finally works.
Prices too high
Overpriced by wayyy too much. Go to Market Basket, by the exact organic brand for half the cost. I was one and done with this store.
Great food, especially produce and meat - but you pay a lot for them.
If you shop the sales/specials, you dont have to spend your whole paycheck here. Even lower prices on some items since Amazon took them over. Lots of samples if you hit the store on the right day/time.
Not the biggest section for cleaning supplies
Beautiful store with kind employees and baristas better than Starbucks
Still waiting for improvements from Amazon. WF tends to have diverse & fresh produce but that varies from store to store. Meat & fish are significantly overpriced. Prepared foods mostly appear to have been made for vegan palates - short on spices, underseasoned and often visually unappealing. But cheese&dairy, deli, frozen foods, bulk offer good selection and service. Bakery depends on the store but breads are very good
This store is very nice and and neat. Customer service is forefront and product selection very nice.
This is a great place to stop by for a meal / quick bite or pickup the daily necessities
Best Whole foods around! I drive the extra 15 minutes just to come to this Whole Foods! The staff is beyond excellent!
Lovely whole foods. Watch yourself in the parking lot though. Its a bit...competitive.
The food is delicious and you can run in and out very quickly.
Mostly good. But... they dont scale fish!!! You have to explicitly ask and they might ruin the flesh. The right time to scale fish is when it is whole. WF, please scale your fish! Its extremely frustrating to start preparing dinner and then realize that the fish isnt scaled. Scaling yourself is very messy and painful.
Food bar looks uninspiring. Juice bar could be an awesome beacon of health but shares a space with cookies/junk food. Overall it is just OK.
It’s a pretty standard Whole Foods! I go here every week.
Way to much stuff and the smells of all the prepared foods over powering. Can9 wait to return
This Whole Foods location has it all. Great coffee bar, tasty prepared meals, spacious seating and even an EV charging station for my Nissan Leaf. Parking is convenient.
Wonderful store, totally supplied with whatever you can imagine, and everything is fresh fresh and tastes good.
Great staff but substandard prepared food; salad bar, hot bar, pizza, sushi. All sad-looking, suffering from a narrow selection and poor quality (relative to other Whole Foods locations).
Very good story nice people
My wife asked some friendly employees and was able to find Apple Cider Vinegar Drink here today.
Friendly
Great sandwich. Service was fast..but its not cheap.
Clean and convenient
Excellent Coffee Bar. Great selection of Vegetables, Fresh Olives, Prepared Foods. One of the best Whole Foods Markets in MA.
This place makes you feel important, special, white, and rich
Nice.
Many Organic items, meat dept has fantastic steaks.
Excellent quality. Expensive. Great selection of prepared foods.
Lots of recent updates including a great selection of beer and wine. This parking lot can get busy when school gets out.
Great Whole Foods, with an excellent selection of extra products like fruit trees.
Whole foods as usual with the added feature of an extended cafe and fresh, really nice and expensive mini donuts. Reliable source of fresh fruits, meats, and veggies.
I love their custom made sandwiches.
Opened in 2011, big, clean, and lots of prepared food options. Staff is very friendly. They also have a large community area as well as a gelato bar.
Do you really want to support someone who took away the health benefits of others so they can purchase another multimillion dollar house?
