Great place to relax, have some good food and listen to some good music. The owners are both just great people, friendly and really care about people. Great atmosphere.
Went in to have a coffee and a bite to eat. Sat at the bar for 15 min and never saw a single person.Looks like a nice place but if thats an indication of how they treat customers its not good.
Good time!! Nice place.
My father in law bought my son a ukulele to get him into music and possibly guitar one day. The product broke within minutes of opening it because someone must of tightened the strings before purchase. Returned the product same day only to have a RUDE employee tell me he can only give a 30$ credit when the ukulele cost 70$. Needless to say my son is devastated and attitude given to us, the customer from the employee has surely steered us to NEVER go to this establishment again. Seeing how we were the only ones in the store twice, it looks like other customers have figured out to avoid this store. Hopefully my son will soon forget about this horrible experience, though I fear it has turned him into not wanting to learn to play the guitar .
The owner would not stop bragging about encounters at nam. It got to the point where we stood for over an hour and did not once get to see an instrument although we were there to view acoustic guitars. And then after he was done “sharing” he stood up and said “I have to get ready for my gig”. We did not once ever get to see or play an instrument. Do not recommend.
My wife and I went into this store trying to look at some guitars. The owner Steve was working and was assisting someone so we just looked around. When he asked if we were gonna buy anything we told him maybe and he gave us kind of a weird look. We got to talking about NAMM as he said he has gone every year. He then proceeded to talk about everything that happened to him at NAMM for the next hour and a half. The whole time he was pulling up pictures and videos of him with famous people just made it seemed like he was bragging. He would NOT stop! Then when he was finished, he stood up and said “I have to get ready for my gig” and started setting up his equipment. Someone else came and asked for help and he then assisted them immediately while we just stood there. It takes a lot to make me angry and I love music passionately, but this experience made me want to give up on music entirely and scream into an open quarry. He was so rude, completely ignored us, and seemed to only care about making money. As for the food I cannot say but the store itself had a minimal selection and the owner ended up judging us and wasting our time. We left without even seeing ONE instrument. I do not recommend this place to anyone!
The music events here are so very worth attending! Food is good, drinks are good, prices are very fair, entertainment is high quality, and the staff is very nice!! What more could you want???
I moved to Wellington in 2012 and stumbled upon this place while looking for a different store. I would rather go here to buy stuff than the big box because I would like to buy local and second it’s closer. When I went in I met Steve the co-owner. I needed to pick up a midi controller and to my surprise Steve offered to price match the big box. I do not mind paying a couple of bucks more for a independent but that was awesome. I have since been back for other items. They recently moved into a bigger space and added a Cafe with a stage for live music. I met Donna (the other onwner) at a chamber event. She convinced me to bring my wife to see a band that was playing tonight. I am glad I went. The band was great and the service was awesome. They do have food but we had already eaten however what I saw looked good. This is a great place and we will be back.
The store manger is a really cool guy and my instructor bill doesn’t get frustrated when I mess up a few times when it was the easiest thing ever. Great selection of items.
Cant wait to get back over there we rode our Harleys from cape coral for just one day worth the trip
This is an amazing place! The cafe has delicious food and drinks and if you go Wednesday or Thursday night you will really have a great time...highly highly recommended!
Great place for all your music needs . Wednesday open mic . Has a lot of talent, great Cuban sandwich too.A great place
Cool spot! They have everything you need plus a cafe/bar. We were in the area and dropped by to pickup a pack of saxophone reeds and wound up staying for over an hour, chatting with Keith and Steven. Great vibe, will be back.
Very nice, well stocked new music shop with a good selection of guitars, acoustic & electric, plus accessories. People were friendly and welcoming. Im not confident that the cafe makes sense, and cannot imagine why I would ask the music instrument sales guy to brew me an espresso. Maybe in the future it will be more music and less cafe (instead of 50/50)? Overall a very good experience. I wish them great success!
Excellent shop as always. Ive been going here since they were in their old location without the restaurant. The owner and his wife are passionate people who really love what theyre doing. Extremely extremely knowledgeable and personable. I never leave here without having an awesome conversation. If theres a small, local business to support, this is it. Id much rather spend my money here than the faceless megastores.
I went in looking for a acoustic for a little gig I had on the weekend and I was happy to say with my budget of cash I had, there were very nice guitars with very affordable prices. I was extremely happy with the service. I will defiantly continue going to this place for a long time. if your looking for a guitar and your in the area look no further youve found your destination :)
Outside live music with Americana Jones. Awesome band
Small shop. Very personable with a cool cafe.
One of the realities, down to earth people 10/10 Im going to shop here again 👌
Me and my wife are living in Palm Beach county and we are travel lovers and we like to taste different food flavors, also we enjoy to know new places in our neighbor and far to, for that reason in that occasion we visited village music cafe where they have good prices, good branches and quality, the staff is very nice and helpfully, the place is clean and organized, and you can do everything by the website. If I help you please push 👍.
It is my favorite venu in Wellington. I do open mic Wednesdays..Thursday is Jazz night and Fridays and Saturdays live music. It has a homey feel and the owners Steve Willey and Donna Barone Willey are like family to me. Plus the burgers are to die for as well as a decadent chocolats cake for dessert. Choose this place for entertainment and comfort and youll become a regular:.
Stopped in by chance this week. I love to see family owned music stores like this, and was pleased to meet with the owner. He is very knowledgable about his products and has priced his guitars quite fairly (and he carries a fairly broad line in all price ranges).I have not yet purchased, but have already seen my next guitar. And, I will be coming back to purchase.Update 7.9.14Purchased a Seagull - Natural Elements from Steve about a week ago and I am loving it. The guitar is beautiful in both sound and appearance, just be sure to have Steve check the height of the strings. He will adjust the truss rod to increase the playability of the guitar. I love the guitar and I really appreciate Village Music!
A top-notch music school with a great little cafe with live music and a music shop that brings old school dedication to a really cool venue for pretty much anyone.
I randomly walked in to browse ... ended up buying. Great enviroment!Particularly like the cafe/bar. This is a music experience ... the way it should be. Pricing was fair and reasonable. Staffed by musicians in thier own right. Will definitely be back:)
As a parent who knows nothing about music the store owner took advantage of my lack of knowledge and I would have way overpaid for a drum stick bag. Price was more than double what a beginner bag would have been. Then he told me basically to leave because he was closing early. He made mention multiple times about how he has to make some money on this stuff. Tried to upsell me used items with pieces missing.I ended up going back to return the items the next day and he mentioned his rent for the store. And didnt refund me the whole amount. Also complained about his time being wasted.Rude, and pricey. Maybe thats why he isnt selling his overpriced stuff.
Drop in New Year’s Eve. We are from out of town. Got ukelele tuned and bought a new tuner. Great layout, lots of instruments and sheet music.
Cozy, Heartwarming, Yummy, Licensed, Well Run!!! Diverse Compelling Talent!!! - Super Cool Spot!!!
I have bought 2 items online from Steve and Donna from Village music Wellington and could not be happier with the service and products. Shipping was extremely fast and my TC Diddo looper was packed with care and arrived in pristine condition. Was really impressed with their overall professional service and will most definitely be my store of choice for all my future guitar accessories. Thanks Steve and Donna!
Nothing but good experiences here.6 months ago, I walked into Village Music wanting to buy my first ukulele. The owners and staff were extremely helpful, and I walked out that day with a great beginner ukulele. Ive been a regular customer there ever since, and I recently visited Village Music seeking to upgrade to an exquisite Hawaiian-made uke. They helped me out immensely through that process.Great owners, good service, reasonable prices, and they reward loyal customers. Seriously, pay this shop a visit. You wont regret it.
The best music store around not only do they have a wide variety of instruments and accessories, but they have the best music instructors in this town. Family owned business! Nothing but good things to say about this establishment!
Great place !! My husband and I have been there several times. We love it !!
The Owner is very nice, had a legit conversation with him and he helped me out alot...I even made a Google+ account just to write this review, its a small new store, check it out. The prices are pretty good, too.
Wasnt keen about being asked by would I want to return an item if I purchased it. If I do not like it why would there be a problem. Take it home and seen if I bond with the guitar.
Went there last summer and they got me this really nice little amp and strings for my fender stratacoustic and they were really nice letting us try all we needed! Recommend 100%
I really like good music
Great local music talent.
Hours say you were open. Drove 30 min for nothing. Thanks a lot. Idiots.
Great music store, fantastic people, and they do amazing work!
Drove 20 minutes just for the business to be closed despite your store posting hours to say you would be open.
