When I entered and respectfully asked if he could help me with a project, the man of the house opened with how busy he was and how staff members didn’t show up.Mr. Carnegie himself had ‘2 months of work to do’ and couldn’t be bothered for more than a referral without biting my head off.I call BS, doesn’t seem to want customers enough to give me a rate so I can’t imagine what’s got him busy for 2 months. What a jerk.
Im sure they do excellent work but the machine rate is $100 an hour. plus the guy was kind of a prick. it was cool to see all the antique metalworking equipment. Sold me cold rolled stainless. not what I asked for. I needed softer steel i could thread by hand he told me id never be able to get it right and if I wanted it done it was going to take 3 hours. That would be $300 for 1 of thread on a shaft thats insane. I took the steel to another shop and was done in 10 minutes for $25. wont be back
