Awful experience guy Benny the manager .. misdiagnosed my vehicle by long shot what started a simple overheat ended up with new water pump new thermostat new service team belt new AC belt new bottom hose new top hose and my truck is still hitting up the same way I went in for got charged $1,500 for parts that my vehicle did not need. So they still have it his mechanics say either a sensor for the thermostat or he was not aired or bleated correctly of the air from the coolant guy straight liar to corporate that I agree to the terms that he suggested I needed definitely not a single star I feel as Ive been robbed cuz my truck is still overheating the same way I took it in I definitely want all my cash back waiting to hear from corporate
Extremely miserable experience and were still not through with you Benny at weslaco pepboys. You will be investigated by corporate for your lies disrespectful behavior and malicious work on my husbands company truck. Began work without even allowing consent to the price. Insisting on changing parts that was confirmed by other pepboys locations, did NOT need replacing. This pepboys have a very notable behavior for doing work no one needs and taking advantage of peoples money. Lying about where they get their parts so they can charge triple the priceTHEY DO NOT PRICE MATCH!! HE LIED TO MY HUSBANDS FACE. EVERYTHING IS ON VIDEO SENT TO CORP! Made 5 stressful calls to customer support about this entire ordeal. Paid 1500 for the truck to be in far worst condition and now refusing to fix anything. I told him not to take it there and he insisted he had faith that a company as big as pepboys handle something as simple as a hose leaking antifreeze. Misdiagnosed the whole thing and attempted to change multiple parts that didnt need replacing. All it ended up being a thermostat sensor. Benny took every complaint personal when it was strictly business that needed to fix it right the first time. Manipulated and coerced him to do the repairs, convincing him it was best to do so. And because he allowed it after numerous times he refused, he gave in the the pressure and now theyre saying he agreed to the cost. Bogus! He referred the dispute as man to man which means absolutely nothing if its not a personal transaction. It was a business robbing us blind for as much as they couldFirestore quoted the same work for 830! And he said he is trying to run a business, that quote was too low! Benny called Firestone himself spoke to a man named Tony, pretending to be a regular customer and asking for the same quote.. once he got the quote he admitted he was pepboys calling, insulted Tony as to why his price was so low,, hes trying to run a business and Tony hung up on BennyRefused to price match anyone at all after that and all this In front of several other customers and their security. Were not through, after paying because they refused to give us the keys unless we did. the truck began shaking and making loud noises.. a tow truck was needed and they took it to mcallen pepboys. The fix was temporary because the next day after picking it up, It began over heating.Benny witnessed it overheating. Noted it was still under warranty so we reluctantly left it again. Not more then 30 mins pass, Benny calls and says nothing is wrong and its no longer over heating... its not a miracle Benny. Youre missing something!! Waiting on call backs from Corporate for this issue to be resolved asapThat is our company vehicle and they are toying with our time and money!
Front end alignment on my car no good. After three months, just when the warranty expired, steer tires wore out unevenly. Had to go to another shop to correct. Never again.
Garage staff was very nice, but was a longer wait then was wanted for a simple check
Took in my daughter’s car to get the Air conditioner system checked out. Tech said it basically needed the entire system and that they would get a quote for the parts and labor. I’ve been waiting on the call and nothing. I call the store to ask if they have it and no one seems to know anything. They take my number down and say they are going to check on it and they never call. Always pass the buck. Been two weeks and still waiting. Don’t waste your time and money at this store. Shade tree mechanics work there.
Pretty awesome and helpful right now when our car broke down and they didnt have the part we needed. They were able to come up with parts that would work enough to get us home in the mean time and even lent us tools to get the job done. Very appreciative of their help.

I called ahead to ask how many people they had for oil change and female employee said they were dead. I get there with my car and my baby on board thinking this would be a fast transaction but I was wrong. They in fact have no cars and plenty of free employees, yet, the man who helped me, insisted that it would take an hour to do the oil change and Id have to go inside to wait. How ridiculous is that? I couldnt believe it. I left because 1 hour was way too long a wait for something that should take 15min. SMH 🤦♀️
Went to the website and there is some free items they check for free they said those items on the website are not covered for free that I had to put for those services. Why out free check if they are not going to honor it.

Whats the point of getting an appointment for an oil change. Had an appointment, got there and they said it will still take 2 hours. Shouldnt those with an appointment get serviced first.

On March 4/19 went to this location @9am. Benny was our first contact there. Our car had overheating issues on our trip to Donna from Canada..☹️ Benny was super & had humorous attitude. Our repair journey took many hours with couple other issues to deal with. Everything was finished finally ...9 hrslater🙄....left with a fixed car and reasonable too! Went various times for a state inspection. Kept telling me it dont work, or inspector not in. Staff needs to fix this. Why do they have a state inspection sign if they dont do them? Ive gone to Goodyear and Pueblo. And get them done right away. They are losing customers.

Went in due to a VERY worn new tire got 4 new tires about 6 months ago & a wheel alignment, drivers fron got WASTED,went to get another tire and alignment it got done really quickly in about an hr,got a call the van was ready paid close to 400 bucks,i jump in it the low tire pressir light is on.good grief here we go.they aired the tires up.light went away.90 wear & tear on tire i will keep an eye on it alingment has a 90 warranty... Money dont grow in trees... Last time i was there yr & a 1/2 ago took it in no lights on dash new tores and alingment.low air psi light comes on mgr sasy its a bad sensor.went to a tire shop they aired it UP.light went away..mgr wrong diagnosed...it is what it is.. Hard to find a shop to trust.. I hope. The wheel alingment was done was told thier machine dont print out on alingment specs... The chargeing to hi dollar to not print out...dealership is cheaper i think

Was a complete waste of time and very unprofessional. I came in for my breaks to be serviced. They delivered the wrong part twice! And now they have to get Oriellys to deliver the part and told me it be delivered at 12 and now they’re telling me it’s going to be at 2pm. So their resolution is putting it back together because they can’t find a part. Pep Boys YOUR’E A PART STORE!!! This is what you do!!! Benny the service manager is so unprofessional and rude. This was his solution. I will post my experience on social media so no one can go through what I’m going through.
Bad service, i arrived in pepboys at 12:30pmFor get the aligment on my truck,short guy waste my time because they suppost to finish with the aligment on time,so after 3hrs He toll me the computer isn t working good,so come back arround 7pm to 7:30pmI keft the place and after one hr call pepboy and i talk to nice lady,and She said the computer alignment does t has problem, so come back and we give the services.This this short guy no good,Pep boys NEED TO FIRE HIM BECAUSE NOT IS GOOD FOR THE COMPANY

We came with a problem with the AC unit and they said one hour, then 7:30pm then a bit more. Then another hour. And at the end, come the next day. And that also came with a price increase. Everytime another problem and more money. Not recommended.

I recently took my Mercedes-Benz in to get serviced for an oil change and cross-rotated my tires. I can say that pricing was more affordable than the actual dealership. The staff was courteous, very knowledgeable and got me out in record time. I am very happy with the advisor team at PepBoys in Weslaco. I will definitely go back for more vehicle services.

Horrible, I call them to see how was the line on car service they say they was low on work so I went and told them what I need it for my car and the guy say no problem we fix it for you and after one hour I went and ask them if the truck was ready because it was out side and guess what they didnt have work on it so I ask them how much time and they say two and half more hours.... Im really disappointed

Wrong key copied. Manager said come back Friday. Told him Saturday. A week later (Saturday), the hefty Hispanic, nonambitious cashier is in serious need of socially based customer ediquette training. One common element in all employee new hire rules and regulations is the use of cell phones or social media, including slouching over on the counter while on shift. This is especially most important when the cashier is the first impression a customer interprets upon entering the store. Nevetheless, to judge a customer based on appearance and contradict a customer over factual information, which had proper retention of training and knowledge of aspects associated with the overall store policy and operational elements (talking about basic things here), this post wouldnt even be considered. All said, even the assistant manager exhibited inadequate and sub-par quality in leadership, which begs the question how did he get the promotion; under what parameters? The common demonator here is the local culture of the Rio Grande Valley. It is very unsettling and unfortunate to be associated with it, for undeniable roots. The striking difference is the contrasting measure between the close minded minimum wage employee with limited ambition, the managerial employee with a false belief of importance due to a miniscule wage slightly above the cashier, and the prejudged customer who happens to be highly educated, trained and knowledgeable in the industry, among a vast array of technological proficiences and administrative professionalities. In short, customer service is lousy at best!

I like them. The service department do what I ask and I havent had to go back because the work wasnt done correctly. They are polite and more helpful than the one in Harlingen. So when I am given a choice, I go to Weslaco.

It was a very bad experience, we waited 2+ hours to have a trailer hitch installed and they didnt have the wiring so they had to order it. It took two weeks get it in. So back we went to have it installed over 2+ hours in our opinion it wasnt done right. We took it somewhere else to have it done right. Needless to say we wont go back or recommend it to anyone.

Theres way better car service shop then this. They took 2 hrs just to change my oil. I had my brake pads replaced just 2 months ago and it already started squeaking, came back had it check to claim under warranty and they took 5 hrs to re-cut my breaks. Setting up appointment is pointless. Just bad services and inefficient workers (I see them working slow and sluggish every time I look over the service area).
