I am giving five stars simply because of the nice lady named Lisa in the West Allis, WI store. She is one of the managers and took care of my issue completely. The item I bought isnt important to this review. This is more a review of this store as much as anything else. Lisa simply treated me and my issue with an item I had ordered with complete respect of my issue with the item. She arranged a full refund to my total satisfaction. I will remain an in store customer of Northern Tool in West Allis, but will not order online anymore.

Awesome selection of tools, and they were helpful and friendly when I couldnt find one item I was looking for.

I cant believe how personable, friendly, and helpful the staff is! Two 50 some year old women looking for something that is easily out of their wheelhouse and the gentleman helped us, jokes with us and was so happy to understand our need. Bought the trailer hitch, wiring adapter and some other goodies in the sale racks. Wonderful experience.

Customer service was very good. Had a bad Milwaukee Tool battery from a fan kit and they replaced it. I probably would have given 5 stars, but the manager tried to tell me that the battery wasnt from that kit. I had my receipt and told him to look how clean that battery was. Still impressed that the problem was resolved. Keep up the good work. Thank you so much.

Fun place to shop, quality tools with nice displays, i.e., Stihl, Milwaukee, and good options for hard to find things like large commercial sprayers (Ive purchased two NorthStar ATV sprayers at the West Allis Wisconsin location.

I had the absolute worst shopping experience of my life here. After buying a rototiller, I took it home and put gas and oil in it. (In doing so voids any return option) The machine poured out smoke to no end. I took the rototiller to the West Allis store where the manager was rude and condescending to me and other customers. Basically telling me my only option was to come back Monday to have them do warranty work. I advise anyone to not shop there.

I drive an hour to buy a soft wash system for my business. Totally worth the drive! Their selection of tools is awesome. Ill need to spend more than me next time to learn the layout of the store. But wow was I happy!

THATS P!SS POOR PLANNING! The store manager Lisa told me. Why you ask? I told her I was looking for a piece of equipment to save my Church some money instead of using a third party. Then she used that charming line, Thats p!SS poor planning. Did she learn that at corporate training or is she just naturally a people person? Having spent a couple of decades in sales, I have to admit thats a brilliant closer! Sure to bring in referrals as well! Northern tool you are the worst company I have every dealt with. I ordered a Generac xc 8000e commercial job site generator last year in Dec. It was promised in 9 days I have got over 4 emails with delays and excuses the final delivery date was to be August 7th.Over 9 months of excuses. They hit my credit card every month for $3,142.84.I had to change my payment method because my old card got hacked,I notified them immediately and changed payment method and was told I had to pay in full, so I did. The next day they cancelled my order. I called the local northern tool store and talked to the manager he said the discontinued that model of generator, they did not know that for 9 months and took my money. Now Im trying to get a credit, they said 3 days. Thanks for wasting my time northern tool and Generac. Stay away from this company there customer service sucks .

Went to pick up 2 items from online order, waited over 10 minutes once arriving, cashiers and other workers were standing around doing nothing, then I assume it was the manager came up because a woman was returning items without a receipt and at this point my items had been brought to the front and sitting there, and I saw that one of the items in my order was not right so I said Ive waited over 10 minutes, my time is valuable, I am not waiting any longer for you to get the right item, I am not paying for something I didnt order, get your act together and walked out without my items.then a short time later I received an email thanking me for picking up my order.i contacted customer service and they called the store and they lied to them and said I had picked up the order.So, since I had been charged for items I did not receive, I filed a dispute with paypal and they investigated and I received a refund back to my paypal account.buyer beware if you decide to shop here, quite frankly I cant see how they are still in business with service like this.I would never think of buying anything here, I can get everything they have somewhere else that has good customer service.

Two aspects of this company are included in this review - their selection/pricing/availability as well as their customer service. They have tools and equipment and supplies that I sometimes wonder where would you even go to buy that?. The prices are decent, especially if you watch for sales and promotions.Customer Service - I called the 1-800 number regarding a return/refund on something that I had just purchased within the last 2 weeks that went on super-sale. I was willing to take the new-in-the-box item back to the store, return it, and then buy a new one at the current sale price. But they just looked up the information while I was on the phone and applied the difference back to my credit card. No hassle or issues. I expected to have to explain more and make a case for why that would indeed be a reasonable approach, but I didnt need to do that. The customer service person was very friendly, very helpful, and the experience drove me to think I must write a review.I mentioned that I bought something from these guys to one of my co-workers and he said he also loves NT. We get their catalogs at work, and it is great to know there are companies like this out there. Im sure they have some issues. But it seems like they are reasonable and just want to be the best they can be.My experience was with the Appleton, WI (Grand Chute) store. And with the 1-800 number for customer service, Marissa. Very good all around. All the employees at the store seemed helpful while we were there and not rushed or rude.

I love this place. Its my one stop shop for my business needs. Lisa is wonderful to work with. She recommended things that have made my tasks easier. Her experience shows. She is a delight, knowledgeable, and on task. The rest of the staff there is great as knowledgeable as well... Lisa happens to be there almost every time I shop.

Lightning fast delivery and for only $20. Well worth saving the trip to West Allis from Genesee. I ordered at 3:30 pm and it was at my house at 7:30 pm. I wasnt expecting it until the next day according to what their website said. I will definitely order from them again.

Checkout process sucks when using a promo code for an email gift card with purchase. I want to pickup the merchandise (all in stock) e-card to be emailed so it was not in stock. Check out process want to ship items that I want to pickup. Got stuck in an endless loop.

Usually best price on milwaukee tools, I get coupons frequently and you can order from catalog for free in-store pickup high quality off brand tools as well .

Very unprofessional store I made a purchase of pallet jack I have a confirmation order number I called the store they said we have three available in stock I got all kind of confirmation from them that it’s available the second day on Monday, December 29, 2020 I paid for a truck and for a guy to come help me get it when I got there the manager Lisa or maybe she just claiming to be the manager she said we don’t have it and she claimed that the sale was rejected even though I verbally verified the sale with one of the associate the day beforeAnd yet she had me leave empty-handed after all these expenses but I lost very poor customer service no accommodation whatsoever for my inconvenience and no assurance that you’ll ever get your merchandise I do not recommend this place at all

They had short staff on the weekends and were out of stock for the two items that were advertised in their flyer. Disappointed went to Menards.

Was looking for a heater for my garage. Was sold a mr heater 80000/200000 btu’s heater. It’s what they recommend to me. Sadly they never told me that it only would work with a 100 lb tank. So I had to return it and was charged a15% re stocking fee. I’ll never shop there again!!!

Big thanks to Tom. I called to verify inventory before I made the 45 minute drive. Tom had my items waiting for me at checkout when I arrived. He also knew that my item didn’t come with a certain fitting that I would need, so he suggested I purchase the fitting to prevent a second trip to the store. Terrible Customer services purchased an Item online there web site states delivery in 7 day. well 6 weeks later still hadnt gotten item so tried to cancel was told this ships from Bailey International and that once i received the item i could return it for full credit well not the case first time around they tried i had to pay the shipping and then 15% restocking fee. after i called again they sent a email To bailey international after waiting to weeks passed called NH again where I was told getting shipping quotes and NH we work with me up to $60.00 but there was nothing they could do about the 15% now I dont care who there buying from I purchased from NH Norhtern. Not Bailey International it was up to NH to make things right if they wanted to keep me as a customer. well they failed hope what ever money they made selling the junk form Bailey international is worth lost customers and several negative reviews.

Extremely unhelpful. I called ahead to verify that they had a part and, that the parts guy was there. He said he was there until 4pm. I arrived at 3:20pm and, he was gone. Every other employee said that there was nothing they could do. The part I needed was literally on the other side of the counter but, no one could be troubled to assist. I immediately bought it from Amazon and Ill have it tomorrow. Guess this is another brick and mortar store thats doomed. I needed a few other items as well but, I decided to get those online too...and they were cheaper.

The store had much more to offer, especially in the pressure washing department. Ill definitely be coming here biannually for my companies needs.The selection is great and the prices are right. Limited selection of fall protection gear...... wasnt nearly as impressive as i remember it being from my first visit.

Sells used items as new. I purchased a new item only to get it home to begin assembly and see that it had been previously assembled and even used (there was grass stuck in pivot points) before ultimately disassembled and boxed back up. Its an outdoor tool and the item will serve its purpose so its not worth the hassle of trying to return it. I did try to reach out to the store management and was never contacted back. I understand needing to sell a returned item, but it should be marked as such and sold at a discount. Ill never buy from them again!

I sent my wife their to make a pickup for me, and wow what a difference. the woman working the front register has no clue as to where anything is in the store and would not help out by calling someone to help. She said just walk around the store and you will find someone who works here, my wife finds someone to help, says to the guy i dont wand the one on the shelf i want one in the box. he replys if you dont take the floor model we cannot sell you 1. are you f-ing kidding me, My wife had to deal with one more store employee who was rude and short to my wife for no reason at all. goodbye northern tool Ill take my $ to harbor freight tools. .
