I had the American breakfast and a basic bloody and everything was cooked as ordered and delicious (especially the strawberry jam)! Theres a line most times when coming here but the staff is amazing and helps each customer quickly, ensuring that no one stands in line too long. They have a great selection of breakfast meals and bakery items to choose from, and Ill be happy to work my way through each one!

The only reason this isn’t a five star review is because their egg salad sandwich was the most flavorless, driest sandwich I have ever eaten in 52 years of life. This is incomprehensible considering how flipping delicious their poutine is!! Whomever is making the poutine cannot be the same person who makes the egg salad, but they should be. The poutine is so good that I am driving from Chicago to Milwaukee to get some more after work this weekend!

Great local spot for all of your cheese and sausage needs. The restaurant next door is awesome, as well. The shop has much more than just cheese and sausage. From salsa, to everything that you can pickle, lots of crackers, booze, beer, and many other fun foods. Great place to shop for gifts, and for yourself!

Excellent place to buy cheeses you can’t normally find in a regular grocery store. The restaurant has really good food, we like to stop for breakfast occasionally. They also sell red shrimp, if you haven’t had any try them they are fantastic.

Nice little shop with a good selection of cheese and sausage. They also had other snacks as well. Theres a Cafe located on the other side of the shop but we didnt eat there although the brunch time bloody marys they were making looked delicious! The gentleman working there was extremely helpful. Cant wait to try all the cheese we bought!

A delicious breakfast in their restaurant. All of the meats in my Skillet Basic; ham, sausage and bacon, were butcher shop quality with a smoked flavor. Im a good sized guy and only ate about half of it, very filling! I think its an excellent alternative to the standard breakfast restaurants in the MKE area. You can even do some shopping for cheese, sausage, and other goodies while you wait for your meal. They also have very good Bloody Marys available although they are a bit on the pricey side. Well worth your stop. Service was good.

Breakfast was amazing at West Allis Cheese & Sausage! Breakfast poutine, Simmas morning bun french toast and fried summer sausage sandwich with egg. This place is truly outstanding. I had to buy some of the salami for home!

Just returned to Milwaukee after being gone for a number of years so I havent been to West Allis Cheese & Sausage Shoppe restaurant in a while. While I love this place, this experience left a bit to be desired. Service was a bit spotty even though they werent that busy. Also...and Im starting to see this everywhere likely because of post pandemic shutdown inflation...I ordered a cheesy only omelette and was stunned by how small it was. Two years ago the omelettes were twice the size. Frankly speaking for $10, I expect more than the very small omelette I received and just toast. Ill try something else next time I go in but its disappointing because this used to be my go-to breakfast place.

Great food. Bloody Marys were good. Got charged the same price for a regular one vs no vodka one. Boo! Waitress must have been new because she didnt know any of the questions we asked. Other people knew though. We bought the salsa that was on the table.

Normally a good place but dont go there if there busy. You will wait forever. Also my table ordered 2 bowls of chili and they added super large amounts of water too it because they didnt have enough. The sever said Sir that is how its made! My thoughts: you use the same chili on your chili dogs right? Your telling me you put watered down chili on them??? Of course you dont I had to ask several time for a refund. The my white bread BLT came out with wheat bread. I didnt touch it got a refund, which took another 20 minutes. I know it was Mothers Days but if you cant handle what is coming in simply stop taking orders

The food was great, reasonably price, portions exceptional, service was outstanding. I had the corn beef hash special. It was big and chunky and full of flavor. Best toast I have had at a breakfast place. Can’t wait to go back and try lunch

That grilled roast beef is phenomenal. (I ordered it on sourdough,) its one of my all time top 3 sandwiches, and sandwiches are my favorite food. The Walker thing (a layered brownie and peanut butter fluff treat) was out of this world. We will be back. I would have given 5 stars, but was yelled at by a customer because my kids were singing loudly (theyre 2 & 4yo little girls) as I was shhhing and correcting the behavior, and the staff just watched and said nothing as he berated the joy of children.

Just had breakfast there this morning good food pleasant atmosphere great employees. Plenty of room for large crowds outside and at the bar which is just east of the Shoppe plus more outdoor seating. Bar opens at 11am great time for brunch with the family. Must have mask when not eating inside.

We have walked here in the weekends for coffee and havent been impressed but always loved the food. Today I had a day date with my daughter (week day) and the food was phenomenal, service was fantastic, and coffee was scrumptious.

We chose this place because Wild Roots was closed for a summer break. Sounded good and had great reviews, so why not? BUT OMG these people have some stellar food!I got their special which was (and bear with me) a homemade spam dish with caramelized peppers & onions on a potato pancake and ciabatta roll topped with a jalapeño cheese sauce. Spam? Weird, right? If you take anything away from this review, understand that this place made spam taste like a deeper flavored pork chop. That dish was amazing!Wife got the American breakfast with coffee. 10/10 would return whether or not Wild Roots is open lol

This is one of my absolute favorite places in West Allis. Im very big on trying the monthly special sandwich and have not been dissatisfied yet! Be sure to get there early because it gets very busy due to the limited hours. If havent yet been, you absolutely must go!

Eaten here Im guessing 40 times. Never once been disappointed. Pretty busy on Sundays. But its worth any wait. The options in both the deli and sandwich shop are endless it seems. Super clean, always smells good. Highly recommend for any occasion.

Great meat and cheese. You can stay and eat but I dont so cannot comment on that. Try the Genoa Sausage with 2year aged cheddar. Also try the Kewaskum sausage sticks (ones with cheese I love). Or the Kewaskum with garlic doesnt need refrigeration till opened so my son takes it to work and eats it for lunch, or keeps it in the car for a snack.

The bloodys are awesome. I had the summerfest sausage sandwich. It might be the best sandwhich ive had all year. No joke. Sausage, muenster cheese, onions and mustard on a crazy good rye bread. Worth the visit just for the sandwhich.

I was told to sit in another building even though there were tables open. When I got to the other establishment they said they were not open for service. I promptly returned for a refund and left. This was after waiting 20 minutes in line to order. This place was neat when it first opened but thats worn off for me now.

If you want an excellent taste of Wisconsin, this is the place. First of all, the shop includes any kind of cheese, sausage, or other type of local product (honey, jam, soda, etc. etc.) that you could possibly dream of. I always find something new (and most often tasty) to try. Second, just eat a sandwich from here. Please. Just do it. I dream of their sandwiches. They are incredible. I haven’t ever had anything else because I am addicted to their incredible sandwiches, but I’m sure the other food options must be just as delicious. The stall inside of the Milwaukee public market is equally as amazing. No quality is lost in the smaller market space.

Very busy shop. Excellent selections of deli meat, cheeses, and various items like locally made sauces, jams, pickles, ect. The staff is very knowledgeable about their products, and will offer suggestions to better help you. Nice selection of wines and spirits. Just opened up a butcher shop as well. The cafe in-store serves excellent food and drinks, with great service. No reservations are required, but you will need to wear a mask unless you are sitting at a table. They also offer gift boxes and catering as well. Prices are slightly higher than average, but only because the quality of their products are of higher quality as well. I recommend you just visit their shop, and see it for yourself. For a smaller shop, they have such an incredible selection of delights there. Dont take my word for it. Go see for yourself. And prepare to walk out happy.

For the true Wisconsin experience, make this shop, with restaurant, your first stop. Its like a mini version of Mars Cheese Castle with a genuine neighborhood atmosphere. Staff is friendly and helpful, the food is expertly prepared and presented, and BONUS* theres a small neighborhood butcher shop across the street, also under the same proprietorship. In total, you can find delectable cheeses, fresh meats & sausages (I found fresh Bangers here!!!), preserves, bakery specialties, a wide range of soft (and hard) drinks, and so much more! This is the reinvention of what was once a staple in our neighborhoods of old, and is a most welcome addition to the quaint city of West Allis.

So while in the area, a friend had to have cheese curds and this place was found with good reviews. It did not disappoint. There is a good selection of cheeses with different flavors. This review only covers the store, but be aware that there is a restaurant as well. We did not get a chance to experience the restaurant, but hopefully on another trip. I will be checking out the store again for sure and will also make sure that I try to experience the restaurant but it does close early on certain days so take that into your calculations.

After a couple of visits, this is now one of my top places to eat breakfast. Its the complete opposite of healthy, but everything on the plate is satisfying.

Ordered a liver sausage sandwich the other day and asked for it plain on white bread. They were out of white bread so asked for sourdough and side or yellow mustard.Order came and it was completely wrong. Had liver sausage with onions and Swiss on rye with no side of mustard. It wasnt even close to being correct. Wasnt able to return as we had left the area.Very disappointed to say the least
