The staff were knowledgeable and very helpful on guiding me to buy my first bike and they were helpful on guiding me to get my first road bike as well. The only problem I have is that they dont tighten the seats enough, On my second ride with my hybrid bike the seat had become loose and had to be tightened at home. And the same thing has occurred with my road bike. I would say the store is okay but the seats come loose no matter what so be ready to tighten them at home.

We bought a bike here for one of our sons. The bike is used extensively, for long rides. After an accident, there was extensive damage to the rear derailleur. We returned to have repairs performed. They replaced the broken parts in a couple of days. We picked the bike up, and after riding it, discovered some other issues. These issues resulted in damage to brake rotor, axle, hub, bearings. We returned, explaining our issues... To make a long story short... These people went out of their way to help us, and repair all of the problems, all while keeping costs contained. And they did it in a day, not weeks, even with the covid shortages... This is the sixth or seventh bicycle weve bought here. You can buy cheaper bikes at the big box, but you wont find the quality, and you certainly wont find the excellent customer service. These people can teach others a lesson or two about customer service... Many thanks, Allis Bike.

Great experience! My son was looking to purchase a BMX bike locally and I am so glad we came here. Everyone elses inventory seems to be somewhat limited right now, but Allis had a decent selection in stock. We especially appreciated the stellar service we received from Francisco and Steve. My son was able to take the bike out for 2 test rides before deciding to buy. Overall we feel really good about the purchase and confident we will be back. Again, GREAT experience!

If I could give them a 6th star I would. And I didnt even buy a freaking bike from them yet! They were waiting on a shipment to come. Hopefully they get some of the bikes that I was looking for. Steve the owner was very friendly and informative. Prices seemed extremely fair and honestly priced. They had a fair amount of bikes, just not there normal inventory and what was right for me. Small business and family owned!! Give them a shot before you go anywhere else!!

I called And spoke to Steve and felt he had the correct post and it would fit. Went over there 2 days later and he held onto the post with my name on it and it fit perfectly, he attached a seat and it’s back to being the bike I love!! They make sure to take care of EVERY customer that walks in. They dont pressure you into buying right then and there, and they have a great assortment to choose from to fit your style of riding and budget. They make sure youre fitted right for a bike, allow you to do test rides, and offer free tune-ups for your first year. A smaller bike shop with great people running it.

Just purchased our third bike from Allis today, a mountain bike for our son. Phil was incredibly friendly, an exceptionally knowledgeable. Zero pressure, offered us bikes that fit our needs of various prices/features and explained the differences so we, and our son, could understand. He got to try them out and that really helped him make an informed decision. Adjusted, and checked everything before we left to be sure it was safe for him to ride. I just dont know if I see myself going anywhere else for a bike, or service. In fact, Im taking my bike in for service in a week. Thanks, Phil!

We got there about 10 minutes before closing time and there were still several other customers in the shop. Alex came over to assist us within a minute or 2 of walking in the door and was extremely helpful and fast with finding helmets to fit our kids. He suggested putting them in the largest size that still fit them so theyd last as long as possible. He also gave us advice on what size bikes would be best for our kids, again showing us how to get the longest use possible so we wont have to replace them again next year. We really appreciated how friendly he was (especially when we found out they do NOT work on commission) and that he wasnt trying to upsell us, but instead get us the best value for our money. Highly recommend Allis Bike & Fitness!

I have a 1972 Schwinn that I still ride. The people at Allis treat the bike with respect AND have even helped me out with a couple little quirks particular to an old bike. Just yesterday, I sent the bike with my friend who has a large enough car to transport it. The rear tire had deflated so much that it would not seat right after I inflated it . The owner, whose name my friend didn’t recall, not only got the tire situated, but didn’t charge anything for the service. This episode was one of many reputable transactions I’ve had there over the years.

I have never been to a bike shop before and I took my bike in for some repairs. They really took there time and looked over the bike and spent a lot of time with me explaining what needed to be done. Customer service was great! One of the owners (Jim I think) had over heard our conversation and came over to personally look at the bike and inspect it. He said he was going to personally work on it and that even though they were very backed up he would have it done in a week. He fixed all the issues and came in under budget.Talk about a great experience!

After that I was afraid to ride it.I took it into Allis Bike and Fitness. They checked it out and gave it back to me in the right condition for riding. Great guys there who know what they are doing.

I took apart a BMX wheel and didn’t get back to putting it together for a while so I forgot how exactly I went back together and it got moved around a little bit but my girlfriends mother so things weren’t exactly how I left them I took the wheel into them which is where I bought the bike and then only put it back together for me for free, But they did it quickly. They did a $50 job for me for the price of two axle nuts which ended up being eight dollars. I’ve been a customer for theirs for about 10 years and recommend them to many people. They are helpful and friendly and have a good selection of bikes be a max and otherwise.

We had our eye on the Schwinn Tandem hanging in the window for weeks because we wanted to upgrade from our 1 speed 1970s Schwinn Twin. We stopped in on Friday. They were really nice. They moved a lot of bikes out of the way to get it down for us to test drive. We were excited about the 7 speeds after riding a bike with only 1. The bike was really nice, quite a step up from our old bike. We are used to pedaling really hard with our old bike so we made the chain come off twice while test riding. It went back on real easy and we still liked the new bike.We told the bike shop guys that we wanted the bike but the chain came off twice and asked if we were shifting it wrong. We told him we like to bike trail ride and have put on 1000 miles since August on our old twin and we couldn’t have the chain falling off on a trail some place. We asked what we could do to prevent the chain from coming off when we pedal hard. He said there were some upgrades that would help prevent this. However, he felt that this was not the bike for us and how we would use it. Then he wheeled out a used KHS 21 speed tandemania which looked new and was about $225 cheaper than the new tandem. We test rode that. Wow, what a difference. We decided to buy it.We asked for handlebars that sweep up as we don’t like to ride bent over and they happily changed them out for us. We also picked out and bought wire baskets, fenders, mirror, and rear tail-light which they installed with no labor charge. They had the bike ready for us that evening before they closed that night at 8pm. The bike looks great! We took it for a short 30 mile test ride Sunday and it worked great! We would recommend them to anyone looking for a good customer service.

I just went in yesterday to purchase a new bike. I know nothing about bikes and started looking around the store aimlessly to find something. An older man, Jim, approached and asked me if he could help me find something. I was mistakenly looking at cruisers, which he explained to me were probably not what I wanted. I began to tell him how I was going away to school and would need a bike to get around. Realizing that I was a poor college student, he proceeded to show me the cheaper used bikes outside. I had my eye on a purple Schwinn, and he went through the bikes that were there, telling me about the wheels, adjustments, and many other things Id never learned about. When I told him I liked the purple Schwinn, he let me take it for a test ride and sat outside with my purse as I rode off. When I got back, he proceeded to show me several interesting things I should know about the bike I wanted to buy. He showed me how extended my legs should be when Im riding, how to adjust my bike seat, and how the gears worked. I honestly think I wouldve paid to learn all of this information. We then went inside with the bike and he gave me a new bike seat ($23 value, and he gave it to me for free because it hurt my backside), adjusted the bike and tuned it up. I even saw him polishing off some little marks on the frame. While I was waiting for him, I picked out a small flashing light that I wanted to buy, and he proceeded to help me put it on.I have a small Corolla, which I brought to pick up the bike. I asked him if he thought it would fit, and he told me the bike I purchased had removable wheels. He proceeded to teach me the steps of wheel removal and let me do it several times to make sure I understood completely. He even walked outside with me to help me put it in my car. He was friendly, personable, and incredibly knowledgeable. What a great guy! When I first came into this shop, I was nervous about purchasing a new bike. I know its possible to get scammed by people who are just after your money, but that did NOT happen here. I was uncomfortable and out of my element, but Jim helped me in so many ways by teaching and guiding me through things Id need to know if I were going to own a bike. I later found out that Jim is actually the owner and has been selling bikes for 60+ years. My initial impression of him was that he didnt make a lot of eye contact and seemed a bit bored, but spending about an hour with him, listening him to talk about bikes passionately, I realized how wrong I was. This bike shop is well kept, peaceful, and has wonderful staff. If you go there, be ready to learn a lot and have a better overall day. This is by far the best business to which Ive ever been, and Id recommend it to anyone! THANK YOU, Allis Bike & Fitness, for being so accommodating and knowledgeable! Ill definitely be back!
