Purchased my first handgun here. I was greeted as soon as entering. They asked what I was looking for, and my primary use for it. Due to having weak wrists and fingers. They were able to find me the perfect fit. Set me up with a comfortable holster. Had 4 gentlemen waiting on me and answering all my questions. Showed my family of hunters my purchase and they said the gun shop did a great job picking out a powerful weapon with a soft recoil. Can’t wait to go back.

Had a fantastic experience with Tony and Ken. I was treated with uttmost respect and they were happy to help with all my questions. I couldnt have asked for better customer service experience and I would highly recommend them for any first time or existing buyers.The range downstairs is really nice and discreet. Bought an AR pistol. First time taking it out every shot was failing to eject. Turns out gas key was loose, barrel nut was loose, and the firing pin was out of spec. Someone clearly didn’t know how to build an AR and then it was sold broken off the shelf as if it was in good working condition. Store is also very over priced - I understand things are expensive in today’s world, but compared to other local gun shops this place is extremely over priced.

Just got the sidearm I always wanted. They had it in stock, brand new! Everyone else is sold out. They were great! Professional and respectful. They pay more to get their inventory, so I get it. I will pay a little more too. That is why they have any guns in stock. They also pay a premium for their stock.BUT, I got what I wanted during this weird time. I was willing to pay more. Give them a chance, they are in the same boat we are in. Its a weird market right now.

Price gouging at its finest. I own many firearms. I have been in this shop many times but always left empty handed due to the inflated pricing. I have been looking for a few weeks for a certain pistol. I decided to go look again here. $800....I walked out. Drove about 5 minutes down the road and picked up the same pistol for $500. Its a miracle that after all these years they are still in business. I can only attribute that to taking advantage of uneducated new firearm owners.

I usually don’t pay much attention to reviews online but in this case I probably should have. This place is grossly overpriced. I was sold a $230 handgun for $600. I hadn’t picked it up yet and called back later that night to ask about it. The owner told me there would be a $150 restocking fee and if I wanted to buy it for $230 I should’ve done my research and bought it somewhere else. It wasn’t his problem. This seems to be their standard answer as when I went to pick up my handgun they used that same line several times on the phone to other customers.

A friend and I went here to shoot a bull pump 12 gage. They sold me 5 slugs for $30. This is well over a 200% mark up when standard mark ups are 25%. The sales person told me, if I was one day and a dollar short on a 30 day layaway, they could keep 100% of my money. When I told him they couldn’t do that he looked stunned. They are Ridiculous!

I found this place online via google search as I was looking for local places to purchase a gun. I called and asked if they had a certain gun in stock and the guy, Im not sure if he was the owner or not but he says yeah we have lots of guns and they start at 999.00. I usually dont write reviews but I called a little after noon a few days ago and the tone of the call wasnt very friendly and the guy sounded very cocky and basically rushed off the phone even when I wasnt done asking questions and got hung up on.

Worst gun store i have ever been to. I sent my had my gun sent to them and they sent it back because they did not like my YELP review. Yes I am serious.

I went hear not to long ago purchased a used firearm i asked 1 question does it jam the guy said they tested it and its fine and from my understanding the 48hr waiting period was over they made me wait over a week and were mad at me for calling checking the status so i finally get it asked for free range time for the wait they laughed a few days later i fire my gun at the range after 3shots it jammed wouldnt recommend this place to my own enemies

Ridiculous pricing. Used firearms for the same price as the same model guns that are new. When I asked the salesman about one, he tried to tell me the higher cost of the used firearms was due to the extra magazines that the gun comes with when its new.

Tricked me into paying $200 over msrp for an Arex zero 1 compact. Their CCW classes are full of bias and not very informative.

Bought my very first firearm today. I was nervous and didn’t know what I wanted. The owner gave me recommendations and let me hold a few and paired me with what felt comfortable. I think this is a great place for first time buyers. I’ll be recommending them and I’ll definitely be back myself. And the guy I did paperwork with was awesome too!!!

I first discovered Shooters Shop, Inc, several weeks ago and I was amazed by the selection of firearms they had during these troubled times when most other gun shops are running thin but I quickly realized why that was the case, because their prices are outrageous! I have never seen firearms priced so high elsewhere, not even in out of state Illinois with their high tax rate and were not talking just slightly higher but at least $50 to $100 higher on the manufacturers full MSRP on most guns!Their used firearms section was no better, with very high prices on everything I saw. There was a large section of collectible, high end knives and edged weapons that are VASTLY overpriced from what they are worth and most had dust on them which tells you that nobody is buying them.Whoever is running this place seems more interested in building a museum then selling and moving items. Also, none of the employees I encountered while I was there seemed particularly knowledgeable about anything and I wouldnt want any of them working for me if I were running a gun shop. Avoid!

The only reason i gave this four stars is because of the prices. Compared to other shops, their prices are extremely high. Besides that its a pretty good place. I have purchased 3 firearms from there all with no problem including my very first handgun when i turned 21. Also took my ccw class there which went pretty smoothly. Im African-American and when i go they are always friendly. The range isnt anything special but it gets the job done.

Had very nice experience just visited them on Thursday and all of them at the store are really good guys they have all the answers of your questions and they are knowledgeable so they can answer all your questions. Only one thing I didn’t liked of them was one of the guy showed me the gun and the price of that gun said by him was much more than what it is available in its actual price online. Though i’m Definitely going back there again and will definitely buy a gun & rifle.

Do not buy a gun here, a bunch of straight crooks for cash, was new to buying a gun so didn’t do a ton of research before coming here, I brought a sccy cxp2 used for $350 tax almost $400 a gun you can easily get brand new for half the price probably not paying to much over $200 at best. I went to Dunham sports and got a smith and Wesson M&p shield 9mm for $350 Total with tax. If you value your money don’t go there, anyone saying this place legit is either clueless or delusional

My son and I went to Shooters for the first time today. Our experience was great. This was his first time at a shooting range and the clerk (dont know his name) was extremely helpful. He showed him in a very patient and professional way how to handle and shoot a handgun. I was very pleased and most importantly, my son had a wonderful experience. We look forward to going back.

Great Experience and reasonably priced. Staff was friendly. Only downfall was that there were no distances marked to know how far you were sending targets down range.

Ignore the negative reviews. Theyve done nothing but go above and beyond for me with my new pistol. They charge fair prices and are very willing to help if you have questions or concerns. 20 dollars for range time is a steal for how helpful they can be

Nice range and great service

Very rude staff, weapons are out-dated and over-priced. The store has a seedy pawn shop vibe. The person I spoke to was only semi knowledgeable about weapons and did make a very wrong statement about a particular weapon that would influence your buying choice. Or, he figure I wouldnt know if he was wrong or not. My advice would be to go elsewhere to buy or price a weapon.

Bought my first hand gun here. Wasnt really sure what exactly all I wanted, but the salesperson was VERY helpful and friendly. Ammo can be found cheaper elsewhere, but the staff is very knowledgeable and courteous. I would highly recommend them to anybody looking to buy a gun.

The shooter shop gun range is probably the worst range i have even been to. I have been there a few times. I have taken my girlfriend at the time and and she liked it TILL she was HIT with a ricochet and than left and waited out side for me. I was thinking it was a fluke until today. It happened to me 3 times today, its nice when your by your self. When other people dont know how to shoot it makes me nervous.I talked to one of the workers at the counter about it and he laughed about it and says it happens your in a cement box and i get hit with ricochet all the time, and so do the instructors who teach classes. Shouldnt you fix it? And 20 for an hour is a lot.I can go to an outdoor range for a little more for all day, and the have a lot of ranges not just 5 lanes, they have a 300 yard range as well.

Bought a ar pistol that they told me was brand new so I take it out the box to finally put my attachments on and it’s loose. So I take it back up there yes they did fix it at no cost but when they took it apart they tell me that I’ve been shooting the gun this was the first time out the box. but it’s mine why would I lie if I did or not it don’t matter y’all sold me a gun with used parts mind u I paid a $1000 for it and for them to take it back I would lose over 2/3 of the money which would be them only giving me 400 dollars of my money back. I like the fact they fixed it but I don’t like the point they sold me a used gun and told me it was new.

Even when busy the guys can multi task and get you info whether youre brand new to guns or a seasoned veteran. Great attitudes real patriots.

I have been here many, many times. I do not understand why people give it such bad reviews. The first time I shot a pistol was here. I rented an AR-15 once and it was awesome, expensive but awesome. Some of the lanes dont work but the ones that do are fine. I was new to guns when I first started going here and nobody made me feel stupid. They are providing you a place to shoot indoors, how much customer service can you expect? Would you like them to hold your hand? They never bust my balls, I pay and shoot and leave, end of story. Good times, I will be back!

Same day service unlike other stores Ive went to where I go to purchase a firearm and they tell me theres error in the system and I have to wait a few days. Where when the white guy in front of me just walked away with 3 guns and the white guy after me also purchased firearms as well. Shooters doesnt stereo type anyone.

First time at an indoor range my friend and I had a blast

The staff seemed for the most part knowledgeable. Some things I knew were incorrect. The staff is most friendly and helpful. They are NOT inexpensive, however! For example, my son bought a bran new Springfield XDS elsewhere for $449.00. Shooters Shop has a used one for $549.00.

Price gouging to the extreme. I get it, ammo is in short supply. $60 for a Box of $20 ammunition. Unethical to say the least.

The Shooters Shop is what I would consider a boutique gun shop. They have a very unique selection of hard to find anywhere else firearms from old to new. They also carry your standard run of the mill selections that youll find pretty much everywhere else, but the unique items are priced a bit more for understandable reasons and most people dont see past that. The range is currently being expanded which will be nice and they can provide all your CCW and personal defense training with a staff of all ex-cops/military.

Short and simple. Rude as hell. I could care less how much they know about guns, how much they charge or anything. 1 visit, and 1 call convinced me, the shooter shop was ran by a bunch of clowns. Plenty other dealers around who I will take my business to.Side note, I enjoy reading others rave reviews who equally enjoyed their visit to the shooter shop. But dont take our word for it- come on in and see for yourself! :)

Yeah the range is dumpy, and expensive...but its better than nothing. We all have a choice not to go there. I find the personnel and employees straight to the point, no bullshit, and actually have a sense of humor from my experience. Its a business! Merica!

I walked in there looking for a very specific handgun. Its not a Glock, not a Sig, nothing that any one carries on the shelf. I went to this joint on a recommendation of a friend.Walked in there, looked on their shelves, and of course, not there. So, I catch one of the guys that worked there. I told him Im looking for a very specific weapon, to which he asked what kind. I told him and as a gun guy, you should know when someone says USP 45 Compact, thats a unique weapon.Now, dude looked befuddled. So, he looked it up. It took him about three minutes to find it. Now, knowing the price is anywhere from $850-$900, I was ready to talk. When he came back and told me $1,000 I just about laughed in his face and walked out. I mean, I would pay cash, which also would warrent a bit of haggling. But, nope, I wont go back.Hell, I can get it cheaper from Gander Mountain! Thats pretty sad...PS. Their website isnt innocent, too. There is no 48 hour waiting period for handgun purchases in Wisconsin. That was repealed in June 2015. So, that shows you how much these folks know. Mi

Their targets are required? I couldnt use my smaller targets because I might shoot out the lights etc. So instead they make me purchase their target, and give me tape to tape my target on their target. Thats dumb.I was letting someone test drive my firearm for purchase. Didnt enjoy paying $45 for them to shoot 50 bullets in 20 minutes.This range does allow shotguns. Im not sure of rifles. Requires ear plugs and eye protection. Rentals are available and ammo is available. Large selection of firearms/parts/accessories for purchase; antiques too, including a $12k cigarette lighter.

Smaller range than Brew Shooters, the smoke doesnt linger, and the old-timers working the place made me feel welcomed and were very informative. Down-side is smaller parking but it was nowhere near full so parking was not an issue. will return for sure.

Place sucks. STUPID EXPENSIVE, 25.00 for an hour at the gun range and 1.50 for targets. Then they charge you for ear protection and eyewear. I WEAR GLASSES and they told me I still needed eyewear! I walked out and saved 32.00 bucks, also ammo is retarded expensive. For 100 .22 it was 20.00. Go somewhere else

Incredibly rude. I walked in and they said that they only sold rifles to 21 year olds. Then they asked what I was looking for and I replied with a long rifle, I’m 18. Then they jumped to conclusions and asked if I was going to shoot up a school or something. Do not go in here if you are a law abiding citizen under the age of 21. They hate that for some reason.

They guy there was really informative on handguns and was great at explaining the benefits of each gun there! It was really unintimidating after talking for a bit, and that means a lot to a first time buyer!

I dont come to the range frequently but when I do come here i always have a pleasant experience. This past Saturday I brought my mom in to practice and the crew checked out some old revolvers that she had and also let her now her edcw was no good. Extremely helpful didnt make us feel intimidated or slow for some the questions that were asked. I wish I could remember everyones name, but you know who you are thank you.

Inquired about a specific firearm, was kurtly told no-one has that then he went back to eating his snack. I knew that Cabelas had it on sale, but I was interested in supporting a local business. The range is dangerously unsafe, ricochet is common.

Got a title transfer done from a out of state arms dealer. Very helpful employees, will definitely do more business here in the future

I have been to the shooter shop once. I was actually just in to buy some ammo for my 9mm because I was waiting on a backorder from cabelas. While there, I decided to look around, as I am always open to buying a new gun (who isnt?). I have always been in love with desert eagles, if nothing more than for the novelty of a giant handgun with a giant round. Low and behold there was a beautiful desert eagle in the case. I asked if it was for sale and the clerk said yes. I asked to see it, and the clerk said no. He told me I wasnt serious about seeing the gun, and wouldnt show me any guns. I was offended, but nonetheless I kept looking around with my friend. We talked about a couple other guns and the clerk followed us around and made negative comments about everything we said. Thankfully the range clerk was more than nice which made up for the other jerk. Prices are very high on the guns. Im sure you could find a deal if you know what youre looking for, but do your research on going prices before you buy from here. I preferred my experience at Badger Ammo to be honest.

The guy ken told me I had to wait 48hrs until I get approved for my gun. But when I called another guy told me I can get it the same day. Which is the Wisconsin law (I knew all along). He also did not show me details of the gun I purchased. I picked it out and he went to get paperwork. Never will I return to this gun store!!! Yes I am a young black male with ccw who felt like this guy didnt want me to have a weapon.

This place is hooooorrible, Im sad to say. One person I dealed with was perfectly nice but everyone else seemed short and rude. First off, their range prices are absolutely ridiculous for how horrendous their range is. $20 for one hour of range use, with $1 targets (which isnt bad) but they only have one type of target to purchase. Mose ranges charge $14-$15 per hour, but for the worst one youve ever seen they want $20. When you bring the target carrier in to place your target on the clip, it doesnt come into the both. I had to stick my hands PASSED THE FIRING LINE to get my target on the carrier. This is INCREDIBLY dangerous and if you did this at other ranges they would most likely kick you out. This should be illegal, heck it probably is. Second the range is about 40ft, and theres a sign that says do not move carrier all the wah down. What does that mean? I assumed it meant dont go all the way until the carrier stops against their clear plastic tarp of a wall they had hanging up as a stop. But I guess I was wrong because after going to about 35ft there and back fine and using 5 or 6 targets it got stuck. I press the assistance buttom and someone came promptly. They said that I shouldnt have sent it all the way down. Which like I said, I didnt. The range is over 40ft I sent it 35ft. If they had a specific distance they dont want it sent to, they should specify. So they put my in a different lane, which to my surprise, the carrier didnt go past 25ft. Great, so now Im shooting at a distance Im already proficient at, but ok, I can deal with it. But little things like the place being a mess with garbage and old video game machines being everywhere I cant take. They dont even have clips in their lanes to hold the targets you arent using. THEY COST LIKE $1!!! Just buy 5 and screw em into the wall! Most of their problems dont come from them being a small business that doesnt generate enough money to fix these issues, it comes from them being bad business owners who cant run a clean safe and reasonably priced shooting range. I dont want to hurt a small business because I realize people depend on businesses like this to make a living, but this place is ABSOLUTELY UNSAFE, unreasonably priced, and just a bad business in general. I would recommend going to the WCTC firing range or even Fletcher Arms in Waukesha. These places are a little bit far but I will continue to go them instead, I wont be returning to Shooters Shop for any reason. Thanks for reading and strongly consider going to a business that takes gun ownership, and firearm safety seriously. We want to attract people to gun ownership not scare them away with unsafe practices and Shooters Shop is the epitome of a scary shooting range.

I stopped to get some personal defense ammop for a 38 special and asked if they carried Hornady Critical Defense. The clerk began digging through a box of ammo in plastic bags, brought out a bag of 39s, and presented them to me for sale. I had no idea what they were or where they came from. I declined. I asked if they had any Hydra-Shock and he grabbed a box off the shelf and quoted a price of $50. $50!!!???? really. I will not go back even though I have been a firearm purchasing patron, several times, in the past.

I went to Shooters Shop a few times and never had a good experience. First of all, the prices are high for the use of such a small, aging range. $20.00 per hour PER PERSON even if you share 1 lane, plus the targets. My first time there I was hit with a ricochet hard. The last time I was there I tried to buy ammo for my 44 mag DE-mine was defective, and was told that I am not allowed to shoot 44 Mag! I told the guy that is all I have ever shot there, and was told again, that it was not allowed. I had to end my $25 shooting session after 15 minutes without a refund because of this rule When I got home I went on their website and read this: Calibers larger than .44 magnum must be frag ammo. I called during their normal business hours for clarification, got their answering machine and was forced to leave a message, and, of course, they never called back. Overpriced, the employees will contradict their published policies, and their customer service is horrendous.
