I have been a customer of Auto Doctors in West Fargo, ND for many, many years now. Its hard to find a mechanic that you dont feel like they are sticking it to you every time you take the car in. I have never felt that way at Auto Doctors. They are honest and wont try to sell you things you dont need. I highly recommend them to everyone!

I brought my 05 Suburban in to have its transmission rebuilt. I talked with AL (Fargo Automotive & Transmission) and he was very helpful and explained the process to me I am not a mechanic, and wouldnt feel comfortable doing a project as big as a transmission on my own. I called 5 other places I will not name them, but this was the place I felt was going to do a great job and wasnt pushy on getting a sale.After bringing the vehicle in they got to it very quickly, Al took it out for a drive to see what the problem could be before just doing the work. He called me to let me know that he didnt honestly believe the transmission needed to be replaced YET (it for sure will need to in a year or two though) and that the problem could be the ABS wheel sensors that caused my vehicle to hickup while taking off from a complete stop. He called me to explain this and referred me to Chris at Auto Doctors who he said he has worked with before and that he believed the issue could be a part of the ABS system. He asked if I am okay with him delivering the vehicle to them to have them look into it a bit.I got a call from Chris after I had them drop the vehicle off, and he said they think the issue was fixed by removing the wheel speed sensor and cleaning the sensor which was quite dirty and wasnt properly picking up the vehicles speed which in turn was causing the ABS to kick in and force the breaks on. I told him Id pay for the fixes ($60) and take the vehicle back to drive it around a bit more and now getting home with it the vehicle is running as it should. (so far, I will update if anything comes up)I am happy with the work and professionalism of both Fargo Automotive and Transmission as well as Auto Doctors. This review was not asked for or incentivized in any way shape or form. I just really appreciate a place that can make you feel like a valued customer and not just another quick buck. I will go back to both shops for future repairs.

I took my vehicle there knowing what the problem was. Years ago a vacuum purge valve went bad on my vehicle and I know exactly how it acted. It died randomly, but would start right back up sometimes. Sometimes if I pumped the gas enough while I was going it would come right back on. I took it to Auto Doctors to repair and told them what the problem was. They hooked it up and did a diagnostic and did over $700 worth of repairs, but didnt replace what I told them needed to be replaced. Its about a month later and the exact same problem that they said they fixed damn near got my girlfriend and I killed in traffic. If you take your vehicle here and you know what the problem is, do so at your own peril.

Took my truck in because I thought I had a oil leak they took a look didnt find anything had it for 4 hours tried to find the leak and we couldnt and they didnt charge me... now take your car to anywhere else and youd most likely would have got scammed so I appreciate the honesty ....by the way it wasnt leaking

I brought my Ridgeline here and was not disappointed with the service and price.The reason why I decided to bring my vehicle here was because of their excellent customer service. The guy over the phone at least tried to give me some answers. I called other shops before calling Auto Doctors, and the other shops weren’t as helpful over the phone. The repair took longer than I expected but that wasn’t their fault. These guys went above and beyond to try to make sure my vehicle was back to 100%. Overall, I would highly recommend this auto repair shop.

There were known issues on the vehicle and they found those, and also found other issues I couldnt spot myself. Theyre worth your money.

Ive had a few things done to a friends car here and have received the Best service of any auto repair shop I have Ever been to. The person running the front desk is friendly and knowledgeable. I feel confident in speaking with them about the car and what needs done. I plan to continue to use their services and take my car there in the future!

Very reasonable pricing for quality service! I called Auto Doctors on a Thursday afternoon to have my water pump, thermostat, coolant, and transmission fluid replaced. They got my truck in the next morning and it was done by noon. 10/10 would recommend to anyone needing maintenance done to their vehicle.

I have been a customer of this auto repair place for a decade or more and have ALWAYS been very happy with how Ive been treated. They are very fair with their pricing on repairs and I feel theyre very honest. They only want to do whats necessary unlike some other places. They just built a brand new facility because they are growing so much. Thats a big sign that theyre taking care of their customers well. I would HIGHLY recommend going here to anyone.

I had to get an exhaust rattle fixed on my pickup. All other shops said it was a common issue after installing aftermarket exhaust kits. They said it’s no more than a 2 hour job. I called this place and they said they could do it, but I told them I need it before the next day, they said that won’t be a problem. I let them have it and it was not done until the next day at around noon. They said the exhaust clamp broke so they needed a new one. I later found it sitting on top of the engine below the turbo, so it did not break, they just dropped it and could not find it. They were dishonest about their own mistake and were not willing to fix. Not impressed. Also was very expensive compared to other quotes I received. Especially after the mistakes, and the problem was not completely fixed.

Two positive experiences... first, this winter they attempted to repair a bearing assembly that I messed up... it was beyond repair but they attempted it and didn’t charge me a cent. Second, just had them recharge my AC... they did it for $50 cheaper than two other places I called. I’ll definitely continue bringing my vehicles here.Also- they have an awesome dog there named diesel. He’ll hang out and keep you company as you wait.

Ive never been more unhappy with an auto repair facility. I had a slow leak in my tire and called them. They said they could help me out. After looking at my vehicle, they told me there was no leak but I needed two new tires due to the fact the tires appeared to have not been rotated. I bought the vehicle used less than six months prior and had the oil changed and tires rotated at that time, and nothing was said about uneven wear on my tires. I should have told them no, but I agreed to replace two of the tires on my vehicle. Two days later, the same wheel (with a new tire) was 10 pounds low again. I called and they got me an appointment that day. This time, they found the leak! So I purchased two tires from them for no good reason, have unmatched tires on my car and not once did they admit they should have looked more closely for the leak the first time. I would NOT recommend this place.

Chris at Auto Doctors is great. He diagnosed my problem quickly and got my Lincoln LS running properly. He gave me some good advice on maintenance and knew a lot about what issues typically go wrong with my make and model. Great mechanic and fair priced.

Water pump went out on my jeep while traveling through Fargo. Took it to West Fargo car clinic. They fixed it in a timely manner and the price was fair. Very satisfied overall

Got my tire checked because I had air leaking out from what I thought was a loose valve stem. They told me my tires were bald and I should just get new ones but they didnt have tires there for me. Later that night i went to check my tire pressure cause the sensor was going off and the valve stem came out of my tire so I got a flat at about 11pm in the middle of winter. I took it to a shop the next day to get it back on and they said the valve stem was not properly tightened. The shop also told me my tires had plenty of tread and would fine for 4-6 more months. I appreciate they didnt charge me anything but the job they did wasnt great and they obviously didnt fix the original problem

Alternator gave out as we were driving from Seattle to northern Minnesota to visit relatives the day before Christmas Eve. The Clinic was very busy, but made time to help us in the morning with our repair. Apparently they have a policy to help out-of-towners. We waited for just an hour or two inside with our dog while the alternator was changed out. Price was about $300 -- standard cost for this kind of work, no gouging. Staff was friendly. Very pleased.

These guys are amazing! Hopping busy during a cold spell but they got us back on the road in a few hours and the bill was very reasonable.

Best customer service Ive ever recieved. They sent a tow, replaced, and installed a new battery while CLOSED on December 31st at 4pm. Friendly, fast, reliable, reasonable.

Great customer service, however on my first visit i wrote down to put the same cat fuel filter on, they called me saying they cross referenced a hastings filter and i gave them permission to put it on, the new filter did not build pressure so the truck would not start, i brought it back to get the cat fuel filter back on it(giving them the part number prior to visit) but they said it would not fit, i tried to explain and explain but they didnt want to believe me so i ordered the same cat filter i told them to order and it fit perfect and it builds pressure right away, not sure where they got confused but i would still recommend going to this shop.

I was in Fargo from out of town and the water pump started leaking on a Thursday night at 10:00 pm. West Fargo Car Clinic took my call at 10:00 pm and walked me through getting the car to their repair center. I let them know that I needed to be home on Saturday, they got my car repaired prior to the end of business on Friday. They could have taken advantage of my situation but their pricing was very reasonable. Drove 700 miles Friday night without any issues.Thank you West Fargo Car Clinic

Had an unexpected breakdown. I brought my car in on a Friday. They had my car fixed on Tuesday.They didnt start looking at my car until 11:30 on Saturday. They thought it was just the engine coils (which costed me $350). After putting in the new engine coils, my car still wasnt working.They replaced my engine computer (which costed me $950). My car was working after that.The lady who answered my phone calls was great. Very sweet.In total I spent over $1,000 to get my car fixed here.Not sure if thats entirely fair due to the fact that my car was sitting for a while (untouched) and that 2 engine coils costed so much.Not sure if I would go back here as a first option but its definitely still within the top 10 options for me.

Took my car to this mechanic two years ago. A day later, they called me saying that may car was fixed. I paid them 300 for the service without any questioning, then when I drove 3 minute away from them my car had still the problem. I drove back to them and complained but they told me they can not help me. They are dishonest and not commited to serving their customers. I wouldnt really recommend anyone to have his/her car serviced by this mechanic. Worst place ever!!!

Got an oil change there. Took forever, decided to my it myself next time. They tightened the oil pan bolt and oil filter cover so tight you cant break them loose
